An amazing instructor !

This was the third time taking the class, Misty's instruction was on point, she encouraged question, and if no one asked question so would go over the example again. She actually teaches, I was nervous at first but knowing the exam was not cumulative of the entire semesters but broken into a mid term and final was a relief. Definitely worth taking

I really liked misty and her class, she always explained things clearly and went over it again if people still had questions. Shes always there, I think she only missed one day out of the semester, like actually. Her grading is easy since its done on MOER & she was never strict on attendance. Want to learn? Show up.

for the first time in my adult life, i enjoyed math thanks to professor misty. she was always there for me at all hours of the day and made the material learning so simple and easy. 100% would take her class again. she was a pleasant and wonderful teacher.

Misty is great! We only had to take 2 in class test which were the Midterm and Final, but had to score 60% or higher to pass the class regardless of overall grade. However, shes very helpful and accesible outside of class, but we got plenty of time to get help from her in class as well because she let us work on hw after lectures.

Mrs Holt is the best teacher in Phoenix college, she Is very clear when she teach and she makes everything so easy to learn. Would definitely recommend her to all who want to understand math.

Professor Holt takes the time to explain how to work the problem, not just arrive at the correct answer. She replies within hours, if not sooner when asked a question outside of classroom hours. Professor Holt truly cares about her students and their success. I highly recommend taking her class.

I took this class during summer with bridge and as long as you do your work ON TIME you will do great. Studying is crucial and the midterm and final are worth 30 percent each, however, she does a spectualr job on preparing

Wonderful teacher! I kept procrastinating taking math because of anxiety. If youre like me, just take this class with Mrs. Holt! I havent taken math in 8 years so jumping back in was a struggle, but Mrs. Holt prepares you very well! Anyone who does what She asks in class/prepping for tests will pass with no problem!!

Professor Holt is AMAZING! She responds quickly and even gives quizlets to help with tests. The work in this class is ENTIRELY up to you and your grade will reflect. This is an amazing course but be ready for a good amount of homework. So time management is key.

I took her and Marcia Corby's hybrid course and they taught it alongside each other. Misty was a great teacher. She gave wonderful feedback, and I learned a lot. There is a lot of homework in her hybrid course, but it is totally doable. She was very involved with her students and made sure that everyone was keeping up. 10/10 recommend.

Misty does an amazing job with this class. She is available for help and has a "No student left behind" mentality. Its hybrid, so you will be doing things on your own, and then one day a week she goes over that chapter with the class in person. Exams are weighted, but if you put in the effort theres no way to not pass.

She really does care about your grade. She will not hesitate to help you.

Took MAT 256 and MAT 257 all in one semester, both with Misty, 8 weeks each, right after one another. Lots of work and moves very fast; it is a 200-level course and a condensed class. If you do the work and reach out for help, you'll have no problems. Love this class and Misty is an amazing professor and is there to help you achieve.

I'm a father of three kiddos, work a full-time job, and enrolled in school part-time - the amount of work in the class wasn't too heavy. This online math class was very easy. You're able to return homework a little later if needed. You are given two chances on each question on the midterm/final. I would recommened watching the lectures thoroughly and taking the time to truly understand the material. This class can be an easy A because you are given so many chances.

Misty Holt is by far the best math educator I have encountered. Online classes can be difficult for instructors to navigate, especially with math. Professor Holt has overcome these obstacles by creating videos that thoroughly explain material and gives you multiple attempts each question. She uses free resources and is quick to respond to messages.

She made learning math fun for me and her lessons were clearly taught in a way that felt so real and logical. I really enjoyed her class and I hope to take another course with her!

I enjoyed having miss holt as math teacher. Her explanations were easy to understand and she demonstrated a brilliant sense of positivity while also encouraging the students to take their tome and really focus on how they solved the math problems. She also gave the students multiple opportunities to do hand work in class. This really help alot.

She's super sweet, funny, and nice. Her lectures are well organized, and her teaching style is fun and easy to comprehend. She's a teacher who wants to see her students succeed. I had her for a one-month summer class, hence the reason for lots of homework, but I would've loved to have her for a regular semester, and I would 100% choose her again.

She was great at explaining the formulas and then using them with examples that made complete sense. Whenever some one had a question, she would take the time to go into detail explaining how they might have done it wrong or why it was the way it was. Not to forget her voice, which was clear, loud, and easy to understand.

She is a very good professor, I am bad at math, but she made each lesson learnable and easy to understand. She gave us all the right tools and knowledge and made it possible to pass the class. She made it clear that as long as we do our work and keep up we'll do just fine. I would definitely recommend taking her class. Ms. Holt was awesome.

Currently, I am lucky enough to be in Professor Misty's MAT141 class, and I absolutely love it. Not only is she the kindest and most understanding teacher I have had, but she is also very patient. She gives us numerous opportunities to succeed both in and out of class.

Hands down this is the best math professor of all time. Due to my work schedule I am forced to take my classes online, which made me nervous when I needed MAT151. Misty Holt gives you lots of leeway with the ability to use late passes or you can even work ahead. She responds so quickly to messages sometimes I wonder if she even sleeps.

If you struggle with math I definitely suggest this professor. She is clear in her teaching and makes sure she ask if anyone needs anything to be clarified during lectures. She wants you to pass!! The only thing she asks of you is to show up, complete this mini lecture, and the homework on time. WHICH IS NOT A LOT

I am not a fan of math and I almost never do well in math classes, but Professor Holt's course was the first math class where I understood the material. She provides good lecture material and her homework assignment load is reasonable. I was always able to get my work done while working full time without being stressed. I recommend her class!

I wish I would have taken all my previous math courses with her. I loved the structure of the class, it makes it very hard for you fail the class unless you don't do the homework. I definitely recommend professor Misty Holt. She is a great professor.

I took this class in the summer. The course content was more heavy, and you had to keep up within the 5 weeks. However, Professor Holt was caring, answering questions and going over them to fully understand. I got a B for my final, so she teaches well. You HAVE to study, some of the material is difficult. She's funny too, 10/10 professor all around

Amazing professor, very clear on teaching the math material.

This was a 5Credit SMMR class (5 weeks) so 1 day is equal to 1 week of work so I went in thinking it was going to be too much FOR ME. However, the class was incredibly organized through MOER Calendar and that helped me a lot to stay organized myself. There was a lot of work but Ms. Holt was very thorough in her explanations, 10/10!

Mrs. Holt did an excellent job of teaching the class despite it begin a fast paced class she'd made sure that students were grasping the concepts through methods like creating questions that aligned with the lesson or stoping and answering questions the students had during her lessons ensuing that everyone was on the same page.

Misty is an excellent teacher. The work can be rough at times, but even when it is challenging, Misty takes the time to help explain and ensure I comprehend the material. This class isn't difficult unless you make it difficult. This is one of the best teachers you can take for College Algebra; definitely recommend 10/10!

This professor was great!! She does have a heavy workload of homework but it's manageable . I work in a mechanic shop and managed to get through this class pretty easily . She will answer any question you have and be very clear . She makes sure you understand what you are learning . Great professor I would definitely recommend!!

Very accessible, and gives good feedback alongside Isaiah (aide). The course I took was only one day a week, but would have been better with multiple sessions simply due to the content size. Otherwise, great class, she gave thorough and detailed explanations and was quite friendly through the course.

Definitely I will that class again she will help you or the student succes will but she can be unorganized but nothing crazy just see the lectures before the class and you will be alright
