Professor Das is very nice and helpful. I can tell she tried her best to teacher her students, and she always asks our suggestions to improve her class. It is highly possible to get an 4.0 if we can thoroughly understand the homework and quizzes. Plus, she is not a tough grader since she curves the whole class.

Linear algebra with Professor Das is as good as you want to make it. if you ask questions and interact with the class and talk to her out side of class i promise you will have an amazing experience. She is always willing to help students learn and has often made time to help explain complex topics like isomorphism to me during unscheduled offichrs

I really enjoyed her class. Lively, funny and real human. Helps to a great extent for students to get a better grade. You need to show your interest, work on materials. You cannot just be passive,do bare minimunm n expect a good grade. Ithas to be a good combination of your participation in class, exams and then she will take it higher from there!

Great Professor! The work can be difficult at times but she is very understanding. As long as you participate and try to understand the material you won't get less than a 3.7. The grades often have curves and it is important to do the hw since it is grading. I am hoping to take her again for MA 139! Great professor and class I would recommend it!

I highly recommend taking Professor Das. She provides a stimulating learning environment that motivates the students to learn. She is very knowledgeable in calculus. Taking Mita's class was an absolute roller coaster. I wasn't sure of my grade until after the final. Her tests are ridiculously hard, but she gives back points if you go to office hours and correct wrong responses. Homework is collected and the student grader has zero chill. I rarely got above a 7/10 on homework. Very inspirational!

Prof. Das was probably my favorite Prof. in Bentley. Not only does she make math class fun and dynamic, but she is a fair prof. If you attend, do homework, study and show up for office hours when you don't understand something, without a doubt you will earn your 4.0. I am taking MA 126 with her next semester. She is very inspiring professor, coming in to the class i actually hated Math. Then as the semester progressed I began to change my opinion and outlook on Math subject. If you work hard, participate in class the class is super enjoyable. She is always willing to help and overall a great professor.

I had Professor Das for 123. Math has always been pretty easy for me throughout highschool, but I also had to teach it to myself. Professor Das ran her class in such a way that it was easy to understand the material. If you participate and do the homework you should have no problem getting a 4.0 I would definitiely take her again!

Professor Das is the best math instructor I have ever had. She explains the course material in a fast paced manner, but will always slow down and explain if you simply ask questions. So, make sure you ask questions and participate if you do not understand the material. She is caring and tells great stories.

I took Mita Das for MA123 and 126. She was absolutely awesome and got me through my least favorite subject with ease. I had a rough start to the first semester but once I figured out how to study for her tests I started doing a lot better. She's great about office hours and will go the extra mile in helping if you ask.

I absolutely love Professor Das! I took her again this semester for MA126 after having her for MA123. She is a great person who truly cares for her students. If you make sure you do all of the homework on time and study for the tests using the review packet, you should do great. Grading consists of 3 tests, homework, and participation.

I took Professor Das for both MA 123 and Ma 126. During each semester, I enjoyed her class even though calculus material is not my cup of tea. She gives good explanations and is always willing to answer any questions. Truly an enjoyable class.

Mita Das is the blessing that every Calc II student deserves. The class is hard, but if you work with her, she'll do her best to help you. 3 Tests, an optional final (to replace the lowest grade), and a bunch of homework. A BUNCH of homework. Like, a few hours a week. She's a real sweetheart though, highly recommend for 139.

high key suggest taking her class if you need a teacher for 139. She's really funny and tries to make calculus as fun as possible. It's pretty hard but she's a great teach and assigns a lot of homework. Even though theres a lot of homework it makes you understand the material which helps you get it done fast.

Prof. Das is simply awesome! The way I looked at Math changed and I actually started enjoying Math after taking her course. I wish I had her for Math in my High School and MA123 as well. She is helpful, funny, available and truly motivating. I will miss her classes as she will not teach the courses I need for my major. TAKE HER CLASSES!!

Professor Mita Das is an excellent professor. She makes sure everyone understands and participates. The grade is based on 2 midterms and 1 final plus homework assignments. If you do good in these you will definately ace her class. Plus, she is very funny and nice!

Definitely take her! I enjoyed her class so much that I took her for both 123 and 126. She offers extra credit on both tests and gives a review test that is very similar to each exam. She cares about her students and is more than willing to give partial credit and answer any questions. She is really funny and her jokes and stories make class fun!!

Study guides! First one, didnt use it - low 60s. No worries! She said to my face that shell never let 1 exam messup your grade! Much better on the second, much easier test... 94. Before taking the easy final, she told me that you do relatively well youll get a 3.3... got a 3.3 when my real grade was probably 2.7-3.0. Respect Mita... Respect.

A straightforward professor. She literally explains everything you need to know in class, and if you pay attention, you'll find Calc pretty easy. It is an advantage if you have taken Calc before, though. She is fair and she cares about students that put in the effort. Don't ask her for a boost if you obviously don't put in effort. I took calc in high school which made it easier for me but even without, she teaches well for those that never took integral part of calculus. Really easy class bc written homework was collected every 2nd class & all the web assign was due the day before the final so if you did it before then you get extra credit. However, she takes forever to give back graded homework and doesnt post grades so you don't know your grade. She cancelled class a lot or pushed back start time tho

Mita is adorable. The difficulty rating is only because Calc II is really hard, but Professor Das makes it bearable. There were 3 tests, with the option to drop the lowest and take the final. Lots of homework, but you kind of need it in order to figure out how to do everything.

I took Calc in HS so I could just cruise by without studying for anything. I can see why other students that have 0 experience with Calc struggle though. You really have to put in effort if you're in that position. Her tests are slightly more challenging than the problems we go over in class, but if you have a solid understanding, you're golden.

Love her!! Definitely not easy but as long as you do the HW and the test review packets you can do well. Assigns a loooot of HW though. She offers extra credit and allows you to drop your lowest test grade if you choose to take the final. Highly recommend!!

Calc 2 in general is a hard course, with her it's a little easier. She makes sure everyone in the class understands whats on the board before class is done. Tests are a little hard but there's extra credit too which helps. 3.7 attainable.

Prof Mita Das is a wicked cool prof. She makes a lot of jokes and usually let class out at least 10 minutes early. I took calc in high school so it was easier for me, but if I didn't, I feel like I would've been a little lost. Would definitely take her again though, super nice and certainly one of the better professors at Bentley.

Never took calc before, but Mita's a great professor and teaches well. She's pretty funny and straightforward. Hates people talking when they're not supposed to. If you put in the effort, it's a pretty easy class overall.

Professor Das' classes were always great. She made an otherwise boring class enjoyable.

She's a great teacher and the classes are pretty fun, the material can be tricky at times and there are a lot homework(but manageable) so be prepared. DO NOT use electronics in her class, and remember to come to class.

Chill professor. math is math and she teaches it the best anyone possibly could. Shes strict on how you show your work and really doesn't care about the answer for tests. She tries to make everyone participate but doesn't make you if you failed to solve the problem. her goal isn't to embarrass but to make sure people know how to show the work.

Professor Das is great, and is really funny. The tests can be difficult like any Calc III course, but if you study then you can definitely get a good grade.

This is calc 3. The material is going to be fairly difficult no matter what, but this class is very doable. Prof Das wants you to do well and if you work hard to study the content outside of class along with the lectures, you will get a good grade.

Das is really nice and she really wants everybody to do well. Calc 3 is hard so its not easy to get an A, but if you just study the worked out textbook problems that she does in class then you should at least get somewhere in the 80s cause most of the questions on the tests are some variation of the worked out/homework problems.

She's not that great of a teacher for this subject, we only made it through like half of the syllabus. But that makes the class much easier, and she's willing to work with students to boost their grade if that's what they need. As long as you participate in class and she likes you, you won't learn much, but you'll enjoy the class.

Prof. Das does a great job at teaching the material. She goes through the problems and examples in the book with the class, explaining why things must be done in a specific way. Attendance is taken every class but if you show up and take notes, you will pass the tests. All of her tests are fair and so is her grading. I highly recommend her class.

I have taken MA 131 with Prof. Das, taking MA 126 now-MA139 is not needed in my major. I am surprised to see the negative comments. This students are surely here for FREE grades and mad as they don't get it. My concepts are better coz of her-u need her, especially as classes r online. Shemakes sure each student is engaged and that is how should be!

I took 123 and 126 with Professor Das, I then took the leap to take 139 with her. She was an amazing asset as I was able to excel in the class. She made learning gap between 126-139 seem simple. She wants her students to succeed and do well at all levels. Highly recommend taking her classes, amazing Professor!

People dislike her but I honestly disagree. Is her class hard? Yes. Are you probably going to get a lower grade than people in the other class? Also yes. However, I find that we do harder problems than the other class which is a pro for me. I'd rather take the harder professor than the easier one. Prof. Das is also funny af.

MA 131 is a tough but fair class and Prof. Das is a tough but fair teacher. As long as you put in the work to study you will get a good grade and Prof. Das will help you out where she can. Also, her class was good fun and she has a great sense of humor.

Professor Das has a reputation but if you come to class and try youll get at least a B+. Her quizzes and tests are extremely difficult but Im a fan of that personally and MA131 isnt an easy course at all. Its obvious at this point that the people who criticize her are people who violate academic integrity or just expect an A without trying.

There seems to be many wrong reviews about this professor as she is actually incredible - and I definitely recommend taking her class. Will you have to put in some form of work - yes. But it seems all these bad reviews come from people who literally did nothing and expect to receive a good grade. If you do the bare minimum - you will get an A.

Everyone who gives her lower than 4 just simply has no work ethic whatsoever... be just a tad bit attentive and you will get an A. If you're not super lazy you will do good.

Ill give Das the benefit of doubt and score her a 4 but i think 3.5 is better. Shes not the best teacher but if you can comprehend topics well on your own, shell be fine for you. Just read each chapter after her lecture to clear things up, taking notes along the way. Shes a very lovely person though.

I think a lot of the criticism Prof. Das receives is misguided. If you show up to class, take good notes and understand the homework you should get a B or A. The material is very hard but the test questions are fair and often mirror what is done in class. She is super funny and class is enjoyable. If you are good at math/a hard worker take Das!

Das can be a little difficult to follow at times, but she always provides resources such as offices hours and zoom sessions to get help if you need it. reading the book also gave more clarification if something wasnt clear, which is what id recommend if you dont feel like using the other sources of help. shes very sweet and a joy to be around.

If she's your teacher be prepared to primarily do all your learning outside of class. Although she isn't necessarily a bad person by any means she is just bad at teaching. If you have her as your professor I recommend you develop a strong understanding of materials beforehand because she isn't doing any favors in helping develop your understanding.

Das is the bomb. Sometimes hard to follow but in reality, a decent effort will get you a good grade. 5 quizzes, she drops 20%, 2 exams, and one quiz. Go to office hours and show an interest and she will pay it back. She has humor and interacts with the class well.

people rate her low because they do bad on a test. In reality the tests are just applying laws and rules, simply just gets confusing when like arctan, etc gets thrown in there. The hw is really manageable. Also failed the class pretty much, and still enjoyed it.

MA 107 - Professor Das is very nice and truly cares about helping you learn. She has a lot of office hours, gives extensions on homework, and drops low quiz and hw grades to help your GPA. The classwork was not too difficult and I actually enjoyed being in the class because she is very funny. Professor Das is a good choice for 107.

Professor Das is an unconventional teacher, especially in her mannerisms during class. She will casually talk and joke with students while trying to get them to engage. I struggled a lot throughout the first half of the semester and was failing but due to her extra help I was able to pull my grade up and pass.

Mita Das is a good professor, who makes her class really fun. While some say she is a tough grader, my experience in MA239 has demonstrated that quite the opposite is true for people thinking about taking her Linear Algebra class. She focusses on only the important topics in class, not bogging students down with lots of useless theory.

Definitly heard a lot of controversy before attending her class, but abselutly happy I took her. Very caring and there for you, who helps you when you struggle. Also as a very outgoing and maybe taff student, definitly a class to take and something I always looked forward to. Despite a hard course, would definitly take her again. Not a dry class!!

239 is a hard, but Prof Das makes this class very bearable. She shows enthusiasm for teaching and she is one of the few profs who focuses on the applicability of math and knows that not everyone is Gauss. As long as you work hard to master the content, she will make your experience very rewarding. I highly recommend taking her.

Mita Das is amazing! Maybe I took pre-calc in high school, but her class was easy to follow. You'll get an A if you do the hw and follow instructions. She takes time to listen to our concerns and goes over examples, so we understand how to do the math. I should've taken MA 131, if I had the time in my schedule, bc it's the same content.

She was alright, teaches things good and makes good jokes, and explains if you didn''t understand. She has two midterms and final, but already 2 quiz tests. VERY tough grader, will take points away for smallest mistake. If you don't have any more professors to take, get ready to work a lot with her.

Love Professor Das. She is so funny. I took ApCalcAB in high school, and I found her class to not be terribly hard. However, I noticed people who have never taken calc before to struggle more. Her tests are identical to the homework. All homework is opened up before finals and she gives you a second chance to do it so you can get full points.

Funny professor, she knows it's a mandatory class and does her best to make it fun. If your not good at math don't take 107, she's good at explaining the course and provides help and feedback, but the course itself is challenging and heavy.

Professor does her best to teach a difficult course and works with students to make sure they understand. She is very understanding with grading and gives lots of partial credit. 3 quizzes 3 tests lowest of each gets dropped. Would take again.

She is a great teacher, but has her cons too. Pros: she is hilarious on a lessons, and cares about you a lot. Has a helping sessions that helped a lot, and can bump up your grade (as she did with mine), if you know the subject and participate on a lessons. Cons: tough grader on exams, but that's all.

She is a very nice professor, but moves very fast. If you don't have a background in calculus you will probably struggle in this course if you don't put in the time. She gives a lot of partial credit on tests, so she does try to help everyone a little with that.

MA 131 is a foundational course that everyone should take. The course TA, Zack is very helpful and gives us review session packets before every quiz and every test. The class requires effort so get ready to put in 4-6 hours every week. However, this class is helpful for a lot of other courses like Statistics which is required.

The absolute G.O.A.T!! Always is making funny jokes that brightened my day. The material was tough, but I took pre-calc and calc in high school. My friend was struggling a bit but I was able to teach him the material. Mita Das is a bright light in a world of darkness. She is my spark. She is my muse. I love this woman.

The material is challenging, but Mita Das tries to be helpful. I found using unstuck ai alongside the textbook really useful for staying on top of the content. With diligence, a B+ is achievable.

Surprisingly I loved her. The hate is a bit overdone. I wouldn't recommend you take her if you don't have prior experience in calculus though. Within the first week of classes, go to her office hours just to introduce yourself or anything. Trust, it will help you out a lot.
