He's the nicest teacher. He's very understanding. You must keep up with the homework though. The hw is basically what he already told you in class, so if you take notes you are set. Eco 201 has an essay, but he grades it very easy.

Fisher is a very straight-forward teacher. Do all his homework and take his notes. You will definitely do well, i guarantee it. He is also very willing to help his students. I just wish his course could be more challenging.

For economics, fisher is by far the best teacher to take at cod. Take good note and study them hard and you are garunteed an "A" in the course.

Mitch is a fabulous instructor. Take notes, do the homework and the tests are not that bad. He's cute too so that makes having to take econ that much better.

I attempted this class with another professor and had to drop it. I had heard through other class mates about Mitch Fisher and I had to take him. He makes Econ very interesting and is very clear with what he wants you to understand. I don't know how he does it but is very good at teaching Econ!!!!!

DO HOMEWORKS, TAKE NOTES AND U GET AT LEAST A "B". I THINK MITCH IS THE BEST ECON INSTRUCTOR AT COD.

Everybody loves this teacher, and I admit, he's a great person, but he's not good at teaching the subject, IMHO. He tries to make everything too simple while teaching but the tests are definitely not, since they're largely based on the text. He gives out homework a lot too.

Excellent Teacher! will take for 202. knows his stuff and teaches very well. For an econ class its easy! tests aren't bad you just have to study. buy the book online saves alot! would def. recommend.

Fabulous instructor, makes the topics crystal clear, very willing to help if you don't understand. Tests are multiple choice with a couple problems, do the homework and the tests will be a cinch. I wish I could take Mitch with me to NIU.

He's a homework Nazi but a cool teacher. His instruction is very clear and he's always willing to answer any question you have w/o making you feel stupid. He's a good sport too when the students give him hell.

this teacher is the coolest teacher ever. gives out lot of homework. tests are pretty hard, but if u do all your homework and 2 easy 25 points project, and do average on tests, u will atleast get a B. i am taking him for econ 201 right now and will take him for 202 next quarter..

Excellent teacher. Tough tests and homework, but he's such a relaxed laid back kind of guy. He shows up in jeans and t-shirts and sometimes even a ballcap. He's very down to earth.

The BEST teacher out there...The answers to the tests are in his NOTES...take notes and you will get a good grade. Very helpful in understanding the subject. Clear on what is expected of you. Sign up for his class fast..or you will miss out. hint:He is a white sox fan.

this guy is really easy, and his homeworks and test are relly easy , it gets a little boring but thats econ, this guy will help you out, every time i couldnt finish the homework i went upto him and he did the problem for me. take this guy and dont even think about taking PANZONE.

He is a great teacher!^_^... he states the materials very clearly. well, i suggest all ESL students should go take his class, and he will remind you turn in the homework everyday since a week ago.... also he doesn't take attandents. you will learn a lot of things from him.

BEST ECON TEACHER @COD! I got A's in both and wasn't hard to do. The tests can be challenging but if you study you never get below a B. No attendance policy, big on homework. Huge simpson, illini, & soxs fan. You will learn alot in this class great teacher very helpful and nice! Take him!

Study the book and notes in class - both are on the exams and the book portion is not covered. Do the hw. He's very helpful when it comes to the Econ problems. He gives packet handouts and those are basically the short answer parts of the test.

Mitch is an excellent teacher that understands a students point of view. If you put some work into it, it is an easy A in both of his econ classes. By far he is the best and friendliest econ teacher on campus.

Do the homework and make sure to review the lecture notes and review exam sheets before exams, you will be fine(at lease B) in this class!

missed more classes than all of my other classes combined. He cancelled class the day after every Illini game wheather they won or not. It's funny because he makes up a story for everytime he had to miss class..Like we care that class is cancelled. No excuses neccessary

He is a really good teacher, he explains well and is willing to help when you need it. He is very flexible. If you review his notes and handouts and also do your homework you will get an easy A.

i took mitch for econ 201 and 202 and got an A on both classes ;) at first, i thought econ was intimidating.. but there's just smthng abt mitch that makes you go "ahh.. that makes sense" ;) n' he's very helpful too and not hard to contact- quick to reply via email, etc. take him!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I took the telecourse, and he was still really helpful. Even tho it was an independent study his notes on my hw and emails really helped. Most definately sign up for micro w/ him.

Mitch was incredible. He has interesting lectures, knows alot about econ, and makes the class fun. Definitely the best Econ. prof. at COD.

He's awesome easy to understand the material is fun mostly lecture. My first econ class n i thought i would hate it but he made it interesting. 2 projects, homework almost every class his tests are ok just come to class, read and you'll be ok.

i took econ 202 with another teacher and failed, but with Fisher I passed with a high B, he could be boring sometimes, but the class leature are sooo helpful. Homework is easy, and the test are kind of hard, but managable

he is really easy. Im now in Micro Economics, and this class is a lot easier than macro economics (not supposed to be the case). He doesnt go on until everyone understands. i highly recommend him

Mitch is a great teacher, he is so helpfull and nice. there is homework, quizs and tests, but all can be done easily. I would highly recommand him for anyone that needs to take Econ. my experince was 10+

He is a really nice teacher and explains everything thoroughly. He hardly let us leave early, not even after the test (which you only get 50 min on) The problem sets are easy, just be sure to study for the tests because they have questions from the book. Overall, not too hard and he is really nice.

Great class (& I HATE econ) I was recommended to take him by an advisor (she said he was the best). 4 tests (drops the lowest score), 4 problem sets, a big activity (gives PLENTY of time), 12 quizzes (about a quiz every week over the chapter - not difficult) and drops the lowest 2 quizzes. I would STRONGLY recommend taking Fisher!! Great teacher

I took econ 1800, 2210, and 2220 with him. He was a good professor, and I would recommend him. Contact him if you want to take some econ class beyond micro or macro.

He teaches very well and has plenty of activities to keep us busy and not bored. He trys to put a theme with every topic to keep it interesting durring lecture.

I've taken both Macro and Micro with professor Fisher beacuase he is the best! He is constantly adapting his curriculum according to student input. He also presents the material in a manner thats easy to understand and remember. On top of all that he actually has a natural talent for teaching and is a pretty cool guy. BEST teacher at COD!

Great Online Class! I took both Micro and Macro online through COD. It was a great alternative to the traditional classroom! I was able to finish two months early. Some assignments can be tricky, but Fisher is very fair when grading and there is no reason why you shouldn't get an A or a B.

Don't worry, Econ 2201 and 2202 are similiar, but not the same class. I feel that Mitch was a good teacher, I took his Hybrid class. I could have taken it on line and probably done just as well. Not a difficult class.

Genuinely nice person. He is an excellent teacher and a good grade is easily attainable if you put some effort into the class.

He's a good teacher, a lil bit boring but you learn alot from him. He's a nice guy and extremely helpful. The only thing I regret is taking his Hybrid class b/c its like taking a class independently but different by meeting up one day every week for an hour and half. if you think you can deal with it knock urself out but he is a good teacher.

Took the honors class- Clear of expectations. 15 hw assignments,10 int. assignments, article write up and 8 pg. paper. Very liberal grader :) Wrote 3 pgs max for the 8 pg. paper, got an 80% on it. Walked away with an A in the class. Learned alot> Taking micro this semester.MUST GO TO CLASS.assignments more then 10 min. late are 50% off-

Mitch was a helpful teacher and he explained everything well so you can understand it in class. He is always willing to help. The tests are not too tough but you need to study. He gives homework every week but it doesn't take that long to do. I would recommend him if you will work a little for your grade.

Took his macro hybird class. Hes a really nice guy and always eager to help. I didnt go to class that much, just have to do the work due every week, took me a few hours, there is a lot bc its a hybird class. No comprehensive final. He puts up an exam review sheet, very helpful. He doesnt take late work so need to email in assignments if miss class.

Took the class online and didn't try too hard and still walked out with a B. He has an adjusted grading scale where an 87 or so is an A, 75 a B, etc. The work def. takes some time, about 80 problems between internet activities and problem sets and then as short 10 question quiz at the end. While it takes a while, it's not hard. Recommended

He's a very nice, helpful guy. There was a lot of homework and the tests were kind of hard, but getting a good grade is possible. You just have to study. He tends to drag the class on the whole time, so don't ever expect to get out on time. Other than all that, I would recommend him cause he's willing to help whenever you need it & he's super nice!

Gives a lot of homework; his test are hard. I'm taking his 2202 class next semester and I've learned to put in more work towards studying for next semester. The internet assignments are usually very interesting and are a nice component to the class. Introduced online homework this year, and that helped a little. Very boring, but a very nice guy

No matter how much you study, the tests are super hard!

This class is super easy if you attend every day and pay attention. He goes over the important parts of the chapter repetitively, making it easy to study for tests. Pretty much all class exercises end up on the test. Only aggravating part is the participation he expects. No grade for it, just aggravating.

his tests are hard so study study! read prior to class ..take good notes then study them and study his worksheets he gives and do all homewrk!! and ex crd if given any.. ask questions if confused and do his study guide and ask if confused DO ALL OF THIS if you want to pass. NOT a blow off class

It's important to do all the homework, quizzes, and study like mad for the tests, since there is a lot of info crammed into each exam. Not the easiest course, but he's a super-nice and laid back guy who is always available for cram study sessions. Approachable and easy going is important when the coursework is boring/extensive. Nice guy, though.

Took Mitch for both micro and macro. Real nice guy who is more than willing to help out his students. Unfortunately the class is extremely dull, despite Mitch's efforts to lighten up the material with Simpsons references. Just a forewarning, 2/3 of your final grade is based upon your exam scores, and there is frequent hw. Still, hes a great teacher

Tips: No need to buy the book. Homework and quizzes are online so get one or two friends and do the homework together each week. Have one person do the quiz and then show the other two the answers. Take notes in class because for the most part, they are the tests. You can even have someone sign you in each class if you don't feel like attending.

I enjoyed listening to him, he is passionate about what he teaches and really helps students understand. The material itself is tough. Go to class get all the basics down then go home and read the book into more detail. Tests are easy if you do the HW

Very cool, laid back and easy teacher. Talks slowly and works slowly, but is very nice and teaches the class well. Material itself is hard, so reading the book is very helpful. HW and quizes are in MyEconLab so you can do them with the book open. i prefer a teaches which works faster, but I highly recommend taking him. (He LOVES the simpsons ;D)

Good overall professor. Tests are very hard, will need textbook to take quizzes/homework assignments. He grades really easy on the Research assignments that he assigns.

Mitch is a wonderful person and teacher! His tests are a bit hard and long, but he explains the material very well and is always willing to help his students! I really enjoyed his class, even though it was tough. His notes are thorough and organized and easy to understand. I also loved his Simpsons references! I highly recommend him!

I took both 2201 and 2202. 2201 includes 4 exams, no cumulative exams, but you have to do online quiz and homework every weeks; 3 exams included in 2202. However, both 2202 and 2201 are similar front of chapters. Video on class, curve activities, assignment reports are contained 01 and 02 class. As you read book, you'll acomplish the task with ease

I really liked this professor. Attendance is not mandatory. Tests are extremely difficult and worth a lot but there are only 3. He gives you homework and quizzes weekly that you do online at home that are pretty easy. He offers 4% extra credit for your total weighted average. I almost got a C but since I did the extra credit I got a B. Take him!!!

Nice guy but course is a joke! If you need credits for a degree, take him. If you are transferring to 4 year to major in Business, it is a waste of time. I got A in 2201 and 2202. Realized that all his chatter was just that. I wish we had covered important stuff and been better prepared for UI Econ. It's your choice in this tough job environ...

Mitch is a great teacher, he takes things a little slow at times so you may have to bear with him. If you take notes, read the material and do the online homework/quizzes you should have no problem walking away with an A!!!

Mitch is an excellent teacher. I took this class summer 2012 and it was a lot of work covered in short time, but he is thorough, homework online, no curve, you will receive grade you earned. Take him.

I highly recommend this teacher. Def one of the best teacher at COD, ALWAYS available to help u if u need help. Strongly advice you to read the book. if you want to do good on his tests.They are super hard except if you read. You have to do a lot of reading on your own. he is nice guy for sure always understanding. JUST TAKE HIM

I took the online course, very manageable. He responds to emails quickly and was helpful. My only complaint is that he takes a LOOOONG time to grade assignments.

Honors: He teaches slowly, doesnt assume knowledge from you, and tests are based on what he teaches in class. Mr. Fischer is very understanding of students as a teacher.

The main textbook is only necessary for word definitions, and the Real World Macro book was never used. He teaches the material well, and is great about review guides. He's also really nice, and wants his students to do well. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it helps to attend class.

I had Fisher for Macro & Micro and he's super nice! Both classes are easy and you don't really need to read the book. He explains everything really well and is so patient if you need help. He's an easy grader and makes the course interesting!

HONORS FORMAT: Second class with him. Decent professor, improved from last semester. Books now required for projects. 3 tests worth 20% each, 2 short research projects worth 10% each, 5 tedious article summary projects worth 20% total. Attendance optional. Tests are easy if you prepare; review sheets are given. Lots of extra credit available.

If you need an easy A, then Mitch is the best. Nice guy. If you want to learn, understand and be prepared for courses at a 4 yr, then pick one of the PT. His assignments are easy and just busy work. If you don't get an A from him, you better consider DeVry, Pheonix, ISU, or Bened. If you hope for Ill, Wis, or Ind you just won't be prepared. Really.

Fisher is a very easy teacher, especially for an honors class. The textbook is rarely used, and he thoroughly covers everything in class. He is enthusiastic and passionate about economics, which makes the class more interesting.

His delivery is kind of annoying pauses a lot between words, but overall pretty straight forward class just take notes, do the hw, the few research assignments and look over notes before tests and you'll get an A. He doesn't go in very much depth on the chapters so you really don't learn a ton but it's not a hard class overall.

Exams are pretty hard, you only get 30mins to complete them. Extremely felt rushed. But the 4 problem set were pretty easy if you read the book.

Mitch is a really good person. He is smart, knowledgeable about the cirriculum, very helpful, respectful and kind. He gives you chances to improve your grade and offers you help outside of the class. This subject was hard for me to understand but he helped me get a good grade. He is still teaching online courses at CoD but he will be missed.

I wish I could've taken him for Macro as well but unfortunately he only taught online. He is very respectful and tries to help students really understand the material. The subject is difficult and he does a good job of making it easier to grasp. if you have the opportunity you need to take him for economics.

Mitch is teaching at Chandler gilbert community college in Arizona now, he is an amazing teacher! he is super organized which really helps, he is a fair grader and his lectures are truly helpful! i defiantly recommend him to anyone, don't be scared of this class he makes it a breeze.

Mitch is a great professor to take for online classes. He offers a lot of resources in order for you to be successful in his class. Answers emails on time and is very helpful when you are struggling on certain topics. If he happens to teach another online class that I need, I would definitely take it.

I took him for Micro online 8 weeks. I didn't think the class was that bad. He is very good at answering emails, great feedback. He is always there to help. I really liked that he would post videos and lecture separately. Always was there to help when questions arise. Reading homework chapters is a lot. Take him great professor. :))) Nice men
