This guy really knows how to teach Math. I have been struggling with math my whole life and he is the only professor who's concepts make any sense. Plus he enjoy's teaching it. He will do anything to help you out. What professor do you know gives out they're home # so if you need help they're there.

This man is a great teacher. He will do ANYTHING to help you out. What other teacher gives you his phone number? He can be extremely repetitive at times and a little boring, but his tests are straightforward and he even gives sample exams to show what's on the next test. GREAT TEACHER for anyone!

He is willing to help sooo much. he lets you call him anytime, or you can see him in his office, or go to whichever class he's teaching. if the material is new to you, you should do a little homework so you know it, but its not required. the class was pretty easy to me.

You can't hate math when it comes to Mr. Levy. I only had him for stat but I am sure he does a great job at the other math levels. If I knew him earlier I would have taken him for all my math classes. I highly recommend this professor

The tests have the easiest problems from the sections on them - he drops the lowest grade - he teaches exaactly what you need to know - and help is readily available. How could you not get an A people?

Ok, where to start. He is very boring so bring coffee with you to his class. He counts attendence everyday. He is a good teacher, he gives you a review sheet before every test and drops the lowest test grade. He is overall a good teacher. I would recommend him for a basic class that you need to pass without a problem.

But then I decided to stick with it just to see, and honestly, the guy is a really great teacher. He is kinda quirky and annal but he is really quite a good teacher. Mr. Levy its a great professor. You have to study ofcourse but it pays off in the end. He gives reviews before anytest, he drops the lowest grade, which hardly any math teacher does. He is also available for questions whenever you need him! You can even call him at home. I got 2 A's on math tests and that has never happened in my life. Take him!

Amazing teacher, he does repeat himself alot and i thought it was kind of funny, ive taken him for 3 math courses already and i got As in all of them... he gives you a review before each test and the exams are exactly like the reviews, i got perfect scores in most of them. he is really helpful, you can even call him at home, take him.

Great teacher!!! A little goofy and repetitive with his jokes but he tries extremely hard for you to understand. Gives you lots of hw to practice, sample tests and sample final that resemble the real thing. Online tutorials, available for office hours and calling him at home for help. There is no reason you should fail. You have to do your part.

belive it or not, this teacher is one of the best @ bcc. he does do more sample problems in class, easy to understand. know your symbols. i personally thought i was going to fail his class, but passed with a C. do your homework it helps and be careful on the test, he is anal about he grades. overall A+ teacher.

He does check to see if you've done it. He is consistent and pretty easy to understand. After that, MATH LAB, MATH LAB, MATH LAB to supplement his lectures!

hes awesome! i'm good at math but it had been years since i had taken a math class so i needed a refreshment. and he deff did a good job at it! he gives about 4 or 5 tests and drops the lowest grade. MUST go to Lab or if you get a 90 or higher on his tests he gives you 4 free lab hours. hes deff worth taking if you have trouble in math.

THE BEST MATH PROF EVER! If you have to take statistics or college algebra he is the prof to take - just do your homework and make an effort and he will help you. I am about to start my masters degree but I can back to say that of all the math prof I've had, Levy is the best - the only one who was ever able to explain so I could understand.

Easily the best math professor that I have ever had. He goes out of his way to make sure you understand the content 100%.

Prof Levy is the best math teacher I've ever had. He takes time to give multiple examples of every topic to make sure the students know the material. He'll stay after class and answer questions. He's not very easy, but if you STUDY and ask questions you'll be fine. The only downside is he talks a lot. But that's a small price for good teaching.

Wonderful teacher. First test was pretty hard, but he drops your lowest grade. Final was okay...I got a 79 wished I got a B, but overall I got a B+ in the class. He helps you with any and everything and even gives you sample exams to what will be on his tests. Homework doesn't count but its best you do it. I wish he was teaching Intermediate :(

Prof. Levy is one of the best teacher's I have taken in any math course. He is very helpful but does like his students to try and apply themselves instead of just looking to be handed the answers. I got a B. This professor lectures are significantly clear. I will reject any claim that Mr. Levi is a bad professor. He is extremly organize and helpful. Awesome teacher :)) after a certain point in school I lost my intrest in math entirely but this guy is really something. He does an amazing job at explaining how to do problems clearly and provides other sources of help outside the classroom (sent by email so make sure you check your student email!!)

One of the best math teachers I've ever had. Manages to explain with such clarity such a hard subject to explain like statistics. He also cracks me up because he will often try and make jokes that clearly aren't funny, but that's why hes funny. Great professor, he reminds me of Howard Walowitz from "The Big Bang Theory"

This is not an easy class. Take all your math before you do Stats. Other than that he is a great teacher. I believe this is his only job since he graduated college. He wants you to get an A and gives you the tools to do it. Do all of the HW, take notes, study, LAB etc...

This guy is awesome. I've always hated anything to do with math but because of this teacher this is the only class im enjoying this summer. Attend EVERY class, do your homework, and do EVERY test reviews and you'll be fine. He's extremely helpful and will remind you about it everyday. This teacher makes Stat's easier to understand. Stat's is hard -- but if you do his test reviews and listen in class an A is definatly possible. Gives extra credit for HW completed. He clear tells you what to expect on his tests.

The deal with this teacher is that he's very STRAIGHT FORWARD. In the beginning he comes off a bit weird, but he's a great teacher so stick with him. If you SERIOUSLY do all of his hw and study for the exams you'll do very well. This is an honest review where I had no problems with him and his work. Give him a try :)

He was very good. I took him for the summer course and he didn't give us a cumulative final. The handouts he gave were clear, and the homework wasn't too bad. Reviewing the material before the tests, I found the class quite easy.

(6 week summer class) I took this class expecting to fail but did very well. He's a good professor and very helpful. He doesn't want you to fail. Do the homework, ask questions and show initiative to pass. He will work with you. The only grades are tests, but he makes it clear what you have to study (study hard) and gives you practice problems.

Let's get this straight. Taking Levy will not guarantee you an A. Only you can do that. He provides so many outlets for success, but very few people take them. I was about to fail his class due to my lack of trying, but he gave me so many chances for redemption and I made it out with a C. I could've gotten an A if i paid attention at first. TRY!!!!

Stickler about certain things, but makes them very clear at the beginning of the semester. Does his best to explain the course front to back. If I had to say anything bad it's that he's very, very obnoxious, like the know it all sci-fi nerds from high school. Other than that, take EXTENSIVE notes and keep all handouts, and you'll be fine.

I went into Stats worrying that I wasn't going to do well. Professor Levy is on his syllabus to a tee and knows what he is doing. I took his Algebra class twice, failed at first time, Aced it the second time. Understand nothing in life is easy when you want to do it well, not spending time study and review, you will fail the class. Don't blame the professor for being to tough, blame yourself for didn't work hard enough, math is all about accuracy, nothing more, nothing less.

He's awkward but a good teacher. His class wasn't hard even though a lot of people did not pass but i believe that is because of their laziness. Since homework is not graded, many people don't do the homework. If they did, they would've understood the material better and pass the class. If you're a hard worker, take him and you will pass.

I got an A from Professor Levy's STA 6 weeks summer class. I want to say thank you, Professor Levy, for everything you did, and i hope you have a long happy life, so one day when I use the knowledge you taught me and become successful, I can come back and thank you again.

He is a great Math professor. His lectures are easy to understand. if you don't get it, he'll explain it to you. He even takes time to explain it to you during office hours. If you failed any of your tests, your homework is your only savior. He doesn't give extra credit. Do all your homework, then you'll be ok. The tests aren't too hard.

Great Professor! Class was very easy as long as you pay attention and the homework is very helpful I got above 100% on every test with the extra credit and passed with an A. He talks a lot but it makes the class go by fast. Very easy to understand, would recommend and take his course again!

Absolutely fantastic professor. Gives extra credit on exams. He always gets students who don't seem to want to work hard, and he warns them that he is one of the best professors that they can get, and when they fail, they retake his class because he really is one of the best. The only way that you won't do well in this class is if you don't try.

I took this class with an accounting class for 6 weeks. I didn't pass due to not studying and having enough time to do so. Statistics is hard to learn, but he is a great professor. I would recommend him, and i will take his class again to get a better grade.

Prof. Levy is one of a kind. I've never liked math but he makes it so simple. If u do the sample exam you will do great on every test and u might not have to take the final to get an A in the course. For his Algebra course he gives a sample exam and step by step vids that help when ur stuck, in stats he provides everything u need to succeed.

If you are not looking forward to taking a STAT class, you might want to give him a shot. He is very clear and very organized. Always ask for help if something is not clear, he will gladly go over everything you don't understand. There is a homework for every chapter, which gives you a better understanding of in-class problems.

I am not a math person and I passed with an A. I also went to the extra credit lectures, spent countless hours in the Math Lab and studied every sample exam he gave thoroughly. Levy really is a great professor. He gives you multiple chances to succeed. You're allowed up to 12 extra credit points either attending a review session per the stats department or turning in test reviews. Everything is on MyStatLab and he gives you unlimited chances to receive a 100% by the due date. He really cares about the students success.

Objective review: 4 tests and online HW. HW is worth as much as a test grade which can make the difference in passing the course. LOADS of extra credit, take advantage. Study guides for tests . He even made a packet of notes for students to get, all you do is fill in what he writes. Underrated prof, great guy, great lectures. I'm TERRIBLE at math.

I took him for college algebra and honestly he's kinda funny A lot of people don't seem to like him but I honestly do He's a good professor and gave extra credit You get 4 test & the final(multiple choice) He does grade differently on the 4 test, if you do the work right you'll get points on the test Homework counts as a test grade at the end.

If you show up to class and actually do your work, then you should be fine. I even went to him after class and he helped a lot. He really cares about his students and has extra credit!

Surprisingly, the class wasnt difficult. There were 4 major tests & online homework assignments for each section which you can still receive credit for if it's late. You have to buy a packet which he does his notes with, take good notes & there should be no problem. He gives practice problems for exams which help a lot. Extra credit was given also.

Professor Levy is a nice,caring professor that wants to make sure his students pass his class. Never miss one of his lectures cause he literally writes/shows you how to do the problems exactly. The homework/test reviews were all online, make sure to do them. His tests can be difficult but he does give partial credit if you do the work correctly.

Best STAT professor ever! I'm in another stat class now and I'm so thankful I took his class. The tricks with the calculator and all.. I got an A in the class. He's a bit repetitive and will make you roll your eyes a few times but compared to the other stat professors I've met at BC I would definitely take him.

I've taken and failed MAC1105 twice and now that I'm taking it with this professor I have an A. His biggest thing is making sure his students understand the material and pass. Need extra help? He's there. I highly recommend him if you struggle with math.

Hes really easy to approach and explains everything very well while making sure the class is right with him. The hw can be annoying but is a huge help on his tests! He also offers extra credit for every test off the practice test so you can easily get points every test

He is by far one of the best math professors you will ever encounter, I was skeptical on him at first but he really knows his stuff. His style of teaching is great, he really prepares everyone, not just math lovers because I suck at math.. he will help you get through this math course as long as you are not lazy you will pass if you TRY.

He's a really caring professor. From the very beginning he tells you when/what to expect. There's a lot of extra credit opportunities and he does test reviews before the test. Take advantage of the office hours! The homework is really easy and very important. easy A tbh

Awesome instructor. Levy wants you to pass and he wants you to understand the material. Its a lot overall but if you go to class, pay attention and follow along, and take good notes you shouldnt have a problem with it. WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING, and go over your recent notes at least one a day. Do the homework early, it will help you.

Professor Levy is just great! Its up to you to just do your home work and read your notes. He is very good at explaining and loves to help anyway possible. He really wants you to understand and learn.

Best math teacher i've ever had. Really cares about you succeeding Made the math seem simple and I am terrible at math. If you're actually serious about graduating then I highly recommend this prof.

I just want to say i suck at math and he helped me so much!! Easy homework, study guides for all 4 tests that are given. There's no midterm or final. Gives great examples! If you have a question about your grade he will be more than happy to show it to you.

Hes a great professor and math is not my strong subject. I had a tough time in his class but I passed with a C. I recommend that if you have any issues that you go to his office hours if you have more questions, hes extremely patient and has taught stats for 30+ years. 4 test and a homework grade. Gotta have the HW grade at 95 to help you out.

Very good teacher, strict grader. Gives you extra credit on each test, assigns homework weekly but lots of questions. Caring, ready to help, and goes at a normal pace. Gives lots of great advice, if taken. Been a teacher at BC for a while, so he knows a lot. Very helpful around Finals, gives you a review identical to the final. All around, great!

Professor Levy is an amazing and super kind professor, he will go out of his way to help you and is one that truly cares for his students success. took him for both college algebra and stats and cant recommend him enough to those who are bad at math. he explains everything thoroughly and offers so much extra credit. he may seem tough on the outside, but hes actually really supportive and wants his students to pass. 3 tests & 1 final for algebra and 4 tests for stats, no cumulative final

the way he teaches is very easy to understand and thats coming from someone who sucks at math. As long as you pay attention you should be fine, hes a really nice teacher and wants to see his students succeed!

Mr. Levy is amazing! My mom had him when she went to BC, she is terrible at math but he was so amazing she got a high A, and she remembered him and recommended him to me 8 years later. He is an amazing teacher and breaks down the information so anyone can get a good grade. Lots of extra credit and if you do the homework, you'll get a good grade.

he is the best math teacher ever.... wish i had him for mac1105. fill in notes, tons of ec. this guy is a blessing, he talks alot but its for good reason. Bless his heart for having to switch his whole class to online ( covid-19). if u get anything less than a C... thats your fault

I had to retake Statistics because for me it was not an easy subject. Professor Levy is nothing short of fantastic! He really goes out of his way to thoroughly explain everything and makes sure you truly understand. He is very passionate about his career and is extremely devoted to his students. I wish he could have been my math professor always!

Mr. Levy's goes the extra mile to ensure that everything is thoroughly explained. He is a statistics wizard, and this class is not an easy A. I put in numerous hours studying and still wound up with a B. Normally, I would be upset about it, but in this case I felt proud. He provides every opportunity for success, and you should come ready to work.

GREAT TEACHER. Very knowledgeable about the subject and is very helpful with extra credit. Highly recommend if math is not your thing.

Very passionate about his classes and its mandatory to go to his class in order to pass with a decent grade. Hes test heavy and his homework really do help you get a better understanding of his course and lectures. Take advantage of his short pauses to ask questions because he wont go back. His lectures are amazing and broken down into step by step

Professor Levy really cares about his students and is willing to help you if you don't understand a certain topic. The class is difficult but if you pay attention and do the homework you'll do well. I've never understood math as well as I have with this prof, he truly is one of the best. As long as you put effort into this class, you'll pass.

Great professor. If you attend class and follow his notes, youll do well. He explains everything well and has the easiest way of saying them. Hes been wonderful with this whole remote learning. His practice test are VERY similar to the actual test and he drops the 5 lowest homework grades. Take him!

I had the pleasure of taking Professor. Levy for remote Statistics. I've never had a professor that taught and explained math the way that he does. His lectures were easy to follow and he was extremely nice & you can tell he genuinely cares for his students. I would recommend Mitchel Levy to my friends & family. Take him!

Grades are based on (5) tests and homework, if you do the homework your grade should be fine. Online class, he took attendance only when people were not participating. No cumulative final in my course which was really nice. Some of the homeworks are definitely long, but they are all due on the test day so you can spread out when you do them.

I'll be real with you. I had to bust my ass for this class. It took around 77 hours of mymathlab doing homework. BUT! He is a lax grader. Lowest test score gets dropped. He has attitude when it comes to slackers but he really does care if he sees you putting in the work and doing your part. DO NOT MISS CLASS and DO NOT PROCRASTINATE

Honestly, I've always had a tough time with math until I took it with this professor. He explains everything in a way you can understand, gives you the tools you need and has no issue when you need clarity on certain things. It takes a lot of work and participation in lecture but he cares for his students and sets them up for success.

Hes an amazing teacher!! Really enjoyed having him his semester. You need to do your homework and practice tests!! They help so much. Hes very friendly I 100 would take again. By textbook use i mean My Lab on Pearson, super easy to use and actually helpful.

If you had a difficult time learning statistics, this professor is definitely for you. I took William Kunz last semester and it didn't go so well and I barely learned anything. But with Mr. Levy you will learn everything and will pass confidently! I HIGHLY advise you to take this professor before he retires! He's amazing.

Mr.Levy is one of the best professors I have ever had. He gives extra credit every test which really helps. He'd wants everyone to succeed and will give you the one on one time if needed. As long as you study, you'll pass easily. Statistics is hard but he makes it super easy to understand. Take him before he retires!

One of the best professors honestly. I definitely struggled in his class simply because math is not my best subject, but his lectures were very clear, and if you had a question he did his best to explain so that you understand. Homework can be overwhelming but with all the resources you have, it's not impossible to do.

Professor was very sweet and thorough throughout his class. Exams were not bad and he always gave us a few extra points. Honestly, a very sweet and nice teacher. Definitely recommend.
