Mr. Ober was awesome. Very laid back and easy going. Got right to the point of each chapter and didn't bore you with anything that wasn't important. Very informative and fair. Wish I could have him for every class.

Excellent Instructor! Gives average/lots of work/assignments. You will need a lot of time to complete his assignments, but you will learn a lot. If you want to learn then take his class.

i hate accounting but ober is very helpful and flexible. you have to go to class because you get class attendance points which can really make or brake your grade. it is difficult material but if you have to have this class take it with him

Mr. Ober was a wonderful Instructor. Show up for every class, ask questions, do the homework, which is very time consuming. I really enjoyed him as an instructor, he is very energetic and excited about accounting, give him your best and he will give you his best.

I loved this class! Mr. Ober was very knowledgeable in this subject and very tolerant of annoying students...We had a few! He responds quickly to e-mails and answers any questions that one might have. You could catch him busy in his office and he was more than happy to offer his assistance. One bad thing: He doesn't teach Managerial Accounting!

He was awesome. has to be one of the easiest teachers ive had. go to class, do the online homework, and the test are all online and you have unlimited tries at the answers. its pretty much fail proof.

Great teacher! You MUST go to class to understand how to do the homework, but everything is online: homework (which you can do as many times as you need until you get 100%)and tests (some you may be able to take more than once).

Mr. Ober is a very fair teacher. He takes a not so interesting topic (accounting) and makes it fun and interactive. Some like to say he is easy but I think he want to give his students the opportunity to learn from their mistakes and figure it out on their own as much as possible.

This guy knows his stuff!! Got to be one of the most energetic teachers I have ever had. He makes Accounting fun, I look forward to his class! Take him, you won't be disappointed, also he is not too bad on the eyes either!

Excellent Instructor!

This was a challenging class. Be sure you do the reading, as some of the homework is not covered in class and is only in the textbook. Every class is mandatory and necessary to learn the material. This is a difficult subject, but Mr. Ober made it fun and interesting. The online assignments helped the learning process.

Mr Ober is great! I highly recommend him as an accounting teacher! HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT and he's not afraid to tell you! I've really enjoyed taking him this semester! He always lets you leave early (you have the option to stay) and you dont have to show up to class on test days! If you have the chance, TAKE HIM!

Mr.Ober is very interesting to listen to, and very spirited and enthusiastic in his presentations. He works with students to help make up tests and gives extra credit. Don't bother him too much with emails, you might get a sting or two if you ask a stupid question. Overall an excellent teacher.

I took his blended financial accounting class. We met once a week. All tests, assignments, and sometimes quizzes are online. We only took one quiz in class and it was easy. I definitely recommend going to class everyday though because if you don't, you will get behind. I left his class with an A. He does offer a ton of bonus too.

Makes financial accounting fun. AWESOME teacher. Join PBL and get the extra credit. Wait til he goes over the chapter to do the homework and show up to class (6.25 points every class). Would LOVE to take this professor again!!

If you want to learn financial accounting then I would take this professor! All homework/assignments all done on-line. Attendance points given for attending class. He explains each chapter very well.

Fantastic teacher!I passed his class w/ an A+. Just do your homework which is online and go to class. Also take those extra credit chances. I did and in the end I didn't have to take my finals cause I already have over a 100%. So even if I didn't take it I still had a 96 which is still a passing grade. He's fantastic if you ask me. Always smiling

The homework is done online and so are the tests. Mr. Ober is very excited about being an accounting instructor, which makes an otherwise boring subject a little more fun. I'd definitely take his class again, and was disappointed to learn he doesn't teach Managerial Accounting.

I had Prof. Ober for ACCT 2213, which is Financial Accounting. It's a very useful class, and I would highly recommend taking it if you can--especially if he's teaching. He is the best teacher I've ever had, and as long as you show up and pay attention, you can't possibly fail his class. If you do, it's your fault, not his.

Literally the greatest teacher I have ever had. Believe me he should be teaching a course on how to teach to all the other professors. I have so much respect for him. Notes are helpful not useless, homework is just hard enough, tests are fair and practice tests are provided. Do the practice tests and you will do very will.

Took this class online, was very easy at first but did get progressively harder. It helps to read your book to understand the material but everything was online. Didn't have to go to the testing center for tests, which was a plus for me. Gives multiple opportunites for extra credit. Make sure to complete all homework. Easy A!

He is one of the best teachers for Computer Concepts and Financial Accounting. He makes all the concepts so easy and understandable. I loved his class. Exams and quizzes are very fair, if you go to the class everyday.

Took Mr. Ober's online Financial Acct class. He was very clear and responded quickly to emails, but like most online courses it's pretty much self-taught with the book and website. All HW and Tests were done online (nothing on campus), textbook mandatory. His grading system is more than fair. Pretty easy to make an A.

It is pretty much a self-paced, self-taught class. It wasn't too hard to make an A, but there is lots of homework and studying involved. I took the class online and didn't have much trouble with the assignments/tests. Everything is done online.

everything was laid out that was due every week. If you did the weekly assignments then you basicly guarantee yourself an A, and he expects everyone to complete the course with such a grade! He also offers tons of extra credit that is really simple. deff take this class!

LOTS of busy work! easy to get an A though since the class is work 2,000 points. Emails are kind of rude, but it seems no one else in my class did any work. Extra credit is available for joining Phi Beta Lambda but as long as you do your work, you really wont need it. Oh, but there are no breaks in the 16 wk class, even with holidays

Mr. Ober is an excellent teacher. His lectures are very high energy and upbeat. In class he provides you with the core information that you need to complete your homework and tests which are in the pearson accounting lab. He is very quick to respond to e-mails and is helpful to students who are interested in his class. You must take Mr. Ober.

The best instructor ever!

Mr. Ober's blackboard site was disorganized, many parts didnt work at all such as the discussion board (which is pretty important for an online class). He only communicated a few times with the class and during those seemed annoyed to be bothered. I've taken many online courses and he was by far the least involved teacher to date,disappointing.

I took this 8 week course in the summer. His expectations are very clear. There are about 16 chapters, 200 questions per chapter, and 4 exams. If you do all the assignments you'll have so many points you could probably skip the last exam and still pass.

I'm not the best with numbers, but it is still pretty easy to get an A in the course. Three assignments due a week. There are couple of quizzes and three exams during the semester, all of which can be taken from home. He is quick and friendly in his email responses. Overall I had a great semester.

Excellent Professor! On-Line class is all laid out and easy to understand. Since it's an on-line class there is somewhat a group of assignments that may take a while to complete. Content is very good material.

Fantastic professor! I do not particularly enjoy accounting, and I was a bit intimidated by this course, but Mr. Ober was incredibly helpful and made learning the subject matter a breeze. He was very willing to help - if you ever needed anything explained, visiting him during his office hours was very beneficial.

TAKE HIM! There is a ton of assignments but you can do all the homework for a week in 2 hours and it's all online! You can even summit the homework once to get the answers and then retake it for full credit! So many points you can skip a test and still receive an A+!! Super easy! Plug the test/quizzes into google for the answers!

Professor Ober is an amazing professor. He is so helpful and gives great lectures. He takes the time out to learn all of her students names and is really funny. Accounting is not an easy course but he definitely made it a lot easier. He gives clear lectures and is always willing to answer questions. He really makes sure that you understand.

He is very helpful and nice. You have lecture one day, and lab the other. His test are kinda difficult though. If you are interested in the technology, then you will do good. I was not interested at all, but I made a B.

I have taken this class multiple times, but I never got the C- I needed to pass. Ober has been the most honest, fair, and hilarious professor I've ever had. because of him, I went from failing mostly everything in this class, to getting an A on the first exam. Honestly he is the best professor I've ever had.

Professor Ober is an excellent instructor for someone that is new to Accounting. His lectures are informative and entertaining. He is always willing to provide extra help for students having trouble with the material. Professor Ober does everything he can to make the material understandable. I would recommend this professor to anyone.

LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM. Most enjoyable class. This is a class you do not have to stress about and will enjoy going to. If you have the opportunity to take him do it.

My only complaint was that this class was so boring it seemed like the lectures went on for forever and homework was long (but simple) assignments but it wasn't hard whatsoever! I took him for an Online Intro to Business class. Seriously, the easiest class ever!!! You want an A, take him!!! I spent maybe 2-3 hours max a week with this class. Everything is open book... I'm glad I took this class!

Super easy class!. All assignments are available online the day class starts so you can get ahead of schedule. The textbook practically gives you the answers. He does take attendance but you're not graded for it, it will make it a lot easier if you go though. He gives you multiple opportunities to do assignments if you don't like your grade.

Mr. Ober really cares that his students understand his material. He is very elementary sometimes, but he just wants to break down everything so you understand! Do all your homework and you will ace your tests. Everything is open book and he really cares.

Do the work and you get the credit. Simple class, just keep up with the homework it is not technically due until the end of the class, but he has a scedule made for you. I took the 8 week class and it was very manageable.

Class is easy just keep up with online assignments, teacher is just a little weird at times and he likes you to repeat back everything to him while he lectures. You could make a drinking game for the amount of times he says to a degree and his lectures are very boring and pointless because everything we do is online.

The most entertaining professors at TCC for Computer Concepts. My class was at 9:30 AM and he had no problem waking me up with his energy and enthusiasm. He makes everything interesting and has very colorful examples. His impersonations are great.

This class was online and has A LOT of homework. Assignments can take a large time period to complete. Professor Ober is very kind and fairly responsive. His deadlines were at the end of the semester and so you worked at your own pace on MOST things. Tests were all open book due to it being online and therefore easy A. I would recommend this course

I took Professor Ober for his online 8 week course in computer concepts. He was an amazing professor and easy to reach if needed. Stay organized if you take his class since he assigns a lot of homework.

Professor Ober's CSCI class taught me a lot. The class was online and completely open from day 1 so we were able to complete early if we desired. Curriculum and syllabus was easy to follow and I was able to complete the 8 week class in 6 weeks. I especially like the "show me, guide me, let me try" style of the lessons. Great experience overall.

Professor Ober made this class a breeze! He had prompt email responses and was understanding of COVID-19 or illness. Highly recommend!
