Mythra was not always easy to understand, but her willingness to help made it impossible to fail her class. She offers help with writing lab papers, and advice on what sections to study if you only ask.

The tests are all based on the lectures. Attend, record the lectures, review these and the review questions and you'll do fine. Readily available if you need help. If you are looking for someone to entertain you, find someone else, but if you want to learn the material, this is a good place.

Labs support what is taught in lecture (but learned more in lecture); Marx Genevoez easy & laid back Lab Professor.Take good notes on Lab assignments 2be used for open book final lab exam.

Do not listen to those who have given her a low rating. Sure, this is not a class for those who expect to show up to class and go on myspace or facebook for 2 hours. The material, though at times difficult to understand, are not that difficult once you go over the notes after each class. The tests were easy. Great professor!

This class was extremely easy! Forget what others say about not being able to understand her. THEY ARE EXAGGERATING! The people who rate this professor low are those who either don't show up to class, texting during class, or sitting the in the back on myspace. GREAT PROFESSOR!

It is an easy class if you study the lectures and review questions..that is basically what is on the exam plus 20 more questions from stuff she covered in class. You will do great if you study those. You do not really need the book. Take her, she is not bad.

There are no assignments. The entire course grade is based off of three exams. You do not need the text book for this class. Her tests are composed 80% of the exact review questions posted on her page. If you want to get an 'A' you have to study her powerpoint presentations. Seriouslly, drink a cup of coffee before attending.

I love this teacher. She cares about the students and the subject. Yes she does have a monotone voice & accent, but she articulates well & clearly.She doesn't rush through material. Memorizes all of the review ?'s and you will automatically have a B on all the tests. Go to the review sessions and its ok if you miss some classes. NO BOOK

dont know what all the complaints were about. took her for summer and yeah, lectures get boring, but she's a fair grader and she LOVES getting questions. she clearly loves bio and its not hard to pass the class if you show up and study the quizzes.

Absolute sweetheart. She will call you out if you are talking in class or are using a laptop, but as long as you are in the class because you want to be, it is rather easy. She posts review questions on blackboard, most of which are on the tests. She does have a bit of an accent, but it doesn't interfere with learning as long as you pay attention.

Her test are some of her exact study guide question and the rest are in her notes, so you'll do fine as long as you study the notes and study guide. Shes strict on use of cell phones or laptops and gets upset when your talking during her lecture.

Excellent teacher; warns you of pet peeves before class begins. She was never rude to me, in fact she was very nice and extremely helpful. If cell phones are on she does get a bit annoyed, but that's it. Not a hard class; don't buy the book!

Professor expects us to learn a lot in one quarter. some chapters are weighted heavily and when I asked her she said she cannot say -_-. does gives sample questions. I was one of the few who actually went to all of her excessively long lectures. feels like she wanted to fill the whole time. Class was easy to many who didn't show up/buy the book.

I cant believe these comments.She was the best science prof Ive ever had.She explains everything well and never gets annoyed when you ask questions.She is a nice person and her class may seem boring but if you actually pay attention you will learn a lot.You'll take her for granted when you get a prof who barely covers material and gives hard tests.

She makes biology as interesting as it can be, under the circumstances, but that class just covers too much. Not her fault, it's just not a great class.

Dont need to show up to class but it does help if the material is already difficult for you to grasp. DONT NEED TO BUY THE BOOK, instead study the notes on BB, at the end of every chapter there are review questions. Study these questions WORD FOR WORD because they are the exact same questions you will see on the test. Easiest B ever! =D

The lecture does get boring but it helps with understanding the material and the notes she provides on the power points. You can tell the professor knows her stuff ..

This class covers a lot of material but she does an excellent job making it clear. She gives many examples and repeats the things that are more difficult to grasp in several ways, which is helpful. I wouldn't recommend skipping the lecture as that is where many of the exam questions come from. I think she is an excellent instructor of biology.

It's not a hard class....understand the review questions and write down what she puts on the board. Easy as that.

Easy class. Just memorize ALL the review questions and do great in lab and you should get a B in class. If you want an A got to class and take good notes. She is very helpful if you go to her office hours and she will answer any question you have in class.

She's a great professor! Most people didn’t do well since they don’t come to lecture. I went to every lecture and I'm glad I did. In lecture she'd tell us the topics to study for the exams and she drew diagrams that the book didn’t have (which really help if you're a visual learner). Very easy class and a one of the best professors I have had.

She is a very great teacher, i strongly suggest you go to her lectures because it will be more easier for you to understand the material. If you take advantage of her office hours, overall she one of the best professors I've had so far. Its a pretty tough class just stay on top of things you will be fine.

An absolutely great professor who is very kind and knowledgeable. The material is not easy but all it takes is just a little dedication. You basically earn your grade in there, the more you study the better you score. She is willing to curve your grade at the end if you attend lectures and labs. My advise is to not take her class in the morning.

She is a little monotone at first because of her accent but is actually really nice if you listen and dont disrupt. always want to answer questions. I would go to the lectures, especially when you know no body will be going (trust me). Most or all of the review questions are on the midterm and the final, so make sure to STUDY ALL!

For someone who has very little interest in Biology I have to say she is a good teacher but really boring. Memorize the review questions because they are essential to passing! Going to lecture is a bug benefit because she will give you other questions that will be on the test!

Didn't look in the textbook once. The review questions she gives you make up probably 60% of the 3 tests she gives. You need to know the examples she gives during lecture because they will be on the tests so definitely go to class. Beware her voice will put anyone to sleep.

Easy A if you print out the lectures and take notes on it. I missed more classes than I actually attended and i still understood it pretty well. But if you have no interest in science i suggest you go to ever class. I also bought the book and used it to help review.

Very boring and long lectures but 90% of the questions on midterm & final are the study guide questions. I highly suggest reviewing (memorizing) the study guide. Attend every lecture or else you'll be confused! All powerpoints are online. Taking the Bio100 supplemental instruction class helps too. NO extra credit either:(

A lot of people don't go to her lectures because she can be monotone, but I encourage to go to every lecture. She's always encouraging to ask questions and she's super nice. In lectures she even gives hints to what is going to be on the test. 3 tests and except a lab obvi.
