Very interesting class. Brings in a lot of info that most people have no idea about.
I really enjoyed her class!!!! I thought she was very, very knowlegble. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who has an open-mind and interested in thinking from a non-mainstream point of view.
I have taken Rokni twice. While much of her teaching is somewhat biased, it is still quite intresting. If you're a GW Bush fan, stay away, but if you don't mind some goverment bashing by all means take her class and join the fun.
A great teacher! She is all about critical thinking and wanting students to come to their own conclusions. The readings can be hard to follow, but her lectures help. Attend class, do the assignments and you'll be fine.
very good teacher and very easy to follow. all you need to do is read, come to class and you will be fine. no test are given in class. all she asks for is a 4 to 8 page easy on your thinking. i recomend this teacher to anyone that haS an open mind.
The class is primarily about **** behavior which should only have been a small portion of the material; but she's a great teacher and the course was easy. Take it for a more relaxed course during a chaotic semester.
Really good class. She brought up some really interesting things to think about, and got the class involved (for those who didn't speak outloud in class). Big points for that. Had some wonderful liberal things to think about :)

I like all the videos she brought to class. Just study her study guide (focus). She is not easy, not hard. 1-follow study guide, 2- go to class. U should get a B.
I love her class and I love her. She is the most helpful teacher I've ever know. Very easy and understanding teacher. In this class, we watch movies relate to the course all the time and I really like it because I learn a lot from watching movie more than leture. If you are movie lover, take her clas
Class was great! She has some really good material and her films are cool. Gives you a different perspective on out government. Just do the readings and use her study guides.
Mitra is one of the best teachers i've taken at san jose state. She knows her stuff and keeps the students intrested on the topics. MUST TAKE CLASS

Mitra is the best teacher @ SJSU period. If you have the chance to take any of her classes do it she really is great.
Good prof. who likes her topic. No tests just three papers (one's a big reserach paper but you get 3 months to work on it). Just make sure you do the reading...
Very PASSIONATE. One of the best Sociology professors along with Dr.Susan Murray. She can come off a bit intimidating but approachable. Films are great and thought-provoking. Fair amount of reading and little group work
not good of a teacher in my opinion. The book she chose for the course was very hard to read and comprehend. However she does explain it well. So now i dont even read it any more. For our term paper, the instructions where a total of 4 sentences on what the 7-10 page paper was about. not even a handout. over all the class is BORING.
She is a great teacher. I took her for sex and love and tv and society and it was great. she knows her stuff. just do the reading!!!!!!1

uses class as her sopabox to vent about problems that DO NOT deal with sex and love most of the time.Books are not even sociology related.LOTS of man bashing in the books and in class.Only gives a Feminist perspective.I didnt have a problem with that perspective execpt it was the only one given.Biggest waste of time ever.avoid her at all costs.
Apparently, the previous responder was not interested in womens issues. Yes, Dr. Rokni covers domestic violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking of children, unequal pay, glass ceiling and sexual dievrsity. If these issues are interpreted as man bashing then by all means avoid her class and remain uneducated to real life issues.
Hot, intelligent and bold.
Winter Session 2006, it was 3 weeks (everyday), 3 papers 2 pages each, D.Space, final 2 questions...great teacher, pretty easy. LOVE IS CONSIDERED WORK !!
Totally passionate, the most motivating teacher I've ever had! Love her to death, and her classes are not that hard, just make sure you show up every day.
Yes, I rated this class as easy. It is as long as YOU are willing to do the work. Rokni knows what she is talking about and is passionate about getting others to think, not just about what is going on in your world, but about everything that is going on AROUND the world. One of the best classes I have ever taken.
she is very thorough, well spoken and knows her material well, it's always a pleasure taking her class. She has a very efficient, fun yet educative way of lecturing. I have enjoyed this class and many others and will strongly recommend her.
She is one of the best professor I had. Not only does she know the material, but she also knows how to get it accross to us student and well. She sticks to the facts and whenever voicing her opinion, she always makes sure to point out that it is 'her' opinion - not to be taken as the fact. She is a very good profs. who cares about her students.
I would not recommend taking any of Rokni's classes, especially if youre a sociology major. She knows her stuff, but seems mad at the world and takes it out on her students. While the material seems really easy, i was suprised to end up with a C even though i went and got good grades on all the assignments. There are definitly better professors.
Dr. Rokni is the GREATEST professor ever! She is extremely intellignet, passionate about socio & very interested in the success of her stdnts. She encourages analytical thnkng & wnts stdnts to apply socio to improve society. This whole thing about her being "mad at the world" is ppl's pathetic way of saying I don't want to hear about world problems
Professor Rokni is extreamly informed. I enjoyed having her as a Professor, because she tells the truth about the problems in our world, and thats what sociology is supposed to be all about. I HIGHLY recommend her for anyone, even if they are not a soc. major. Shes smart, caring, and willing to help her students in any way possible.
Every teacher has a political stance even taking an apolitcal stance is a stance. Yes, she is radical but if you want middle of the row or conservative all the time them stay out of the classroom and stick with the newspapers. Its completey unfounded that her sources or informaiton is not ligit. By acadimic standards her sources are ligit.
I learned a lot, but it was because of the readings and the videos. When she lectures she is rude to students if they come across opposing her view or if they sound stupid. Too much on Iraq and not enough on other important topics. Misunderstands things, doesn't form questions correctly (language barrier)but blames students for not understanding
I took her class last fall. She is a critical thinker and challenges her students to think critically as well. Though it may seem that she is picking on students, it is because she is forcing us to think for ourselves. She does not remind you of assignments that are due, but other than that, she's pretty fair.
Many people do not like her because of her liberal views. That is not really an issue with me, it is simply a tough class. You have to keep up with the millions of readings to do well. She gives lectures on how students do not care about the world. It gets tiring. Try Prof. Cox.
Very condescending, instead of encouraging and enlightening us on the issues she taught she always chose negative words blaming the lack of involvement in societal changes on students or this generation. I'm sure there's a better way to get people more engaged. Sometimes wouldn't speak to students after class just cause she didn't feel like it.
Great teacher, knowledgeable and concerned. I learned a lot in her class.
If you are just looking for an easy teacher that doesn't care how much you learn and only confirms your worldview, then her classes are not for you. On the other hand, if you want to learn something about the world you live in, and also learn how to think critically for yourself, she is one of the better ones I have come across.
I would HIGHLY recommend taking Mitra as your teacher. She has so much knowledge and explains to in a way that really leaves you thinking-even after class. I really felt involved in the class and learned so much about the world that we live in. She is one of the few teachers who inspires me. Take her class if you really want to be awakened!!!
not recommended
She is a great teacher, but she needs to be more available to her students. Is her way or no way! But she knows what she is doing! You want to learn? take her classes, you want to waste time or an easy grade? not the right Professor!!! Probably she needs a class of human relations!!! But I highly recommend her.
Professor Rokni is a fabulous instructor. She is intelligent, passionate, articulate, and truly knows her subject. Go to class, act like an adult, pay attention, and do your papers. You will learn in her class. Viva la Rokni!!!
Very interesting, but also very intimidating, she gets pretty angry when no one speaks up, which constantly happens. Otherwise her lectures really get you thinking, she makes the class seem a lot harder than it is, if you stick it out, you will pass. Attendance is mandatory, she counts it as part of participation
Rokni is a superb professor. If passionate equals intimidating, then I guess she is intimidating to those who have no passion or are afraid of taking a stand.
not fit for academic instruction. too shallow, dictating her opinions, does not respect opinions that differ from hers, very tendentious in her selection of reading material, not knowledgeable.
The previous comments come from a person who was in way over their head. It is pathetic when one so ignorant attempts to degrade another who's knowledge is so superior to their own that they cannot grasp it. Rokni welcomes ideas that vary from her own when they are backed by logic and knowledge. You should have dropped. You couldn't handle it.
Will open your eyes politically and sociologically to the world, make you feed included and accepted in your comments, really studied, and read. She's the best
I found her the most difficult teacher I've had in my entire school career. We has assigned reading that she NEVER talks about and if you miss one class you're screwed. She doesn't write things down and talks fast, so if you aren't paying attention for one second, you're done. This is the first class I've ever failed in my life.
Sex$Love DO NOT TAKE FOR EASY COURSE! Very left wing, very feminist. No smiling or laughing allowed. Felt my papers were graded on whether I said what she wanted me to say. Overall bad experience.
Excellent professor. Clear and concise. Provokes independent thought and critical thinking. Go to class, do the reading and assignments, you will get an A
the BEST professor i've had so far!! do not take this class for an easy A. Go to class, and she will NOT let you down, she's straight forward and very passionate about what she does :]
wow never meet anyone who grades on attendance, now i heard of particpation but she knows when you dnt show up and will call you out on it I had family problems and she didnt care she said make sure i get my paper into her
I think she is awesome! She is passionate about what she teaches and gets frustrated with students who are not serious about learning. Attendance is required, absolutely no cell phone usage in class...she will call you out! If you are sensitive, don't take this class. If you are there to actually learn something- this is the professor!
She is a great teacher, very passionate about teaching and making her students understand. You will get a good grade as long as you do all the work
she is very hard... don't take this class if you don't like to think critically. she will bring up things that are really interesting, and that you never knew. informs students about the way the government really works and corrupt things going on in recent events. so humbling!
Interesting lectures, has a lot to say about what's wrong with America. Tests are based on the books and have nothing to do with the lectures. Very intelligent and opinionated. Take home midterm, essay questions. In class eassy questions final. 10 page term paper. Didn't like that she tested on the books and not lectures, but grades fairly.
She is an intimidating person, but if you make the effort she is very understanding . She's very smart and pushes you to be aware of the chaotic world around you. Its hard at first, but if you just listen, its pretty much all common sense and it can possibly change your outlook. This was a REAL college course, but it is not an easy A. I loved her!
I took her for 140 and 116. She ends up basically lecturing on how lazy our generation is. It got very annoying and insulting. I?m sure there are better ways to people involved. She is extremely knowledgeable and interesting though. She uses a lot of documentaries which keeps the class exciting. One 10 page paper, take home midterm and essay final
Serious, hard, critical, and opinionated teacher who pushes for citizen activism. I guess this is a real college level.... students must learn to rise up to! That is intimidating :)
Lots and lots of reading. we had an 8 page midterm, 3 reading assignments, and 1 final. She is tough but helpful if she sees you are putting in the effort. In the end i do have a lot of respect for her. Like a comment below said, "f you are sensitive" do not take her. She tells it like it is. :)
For some reason I did the way this lady teaches. She gets all up in ya face with what is wrong with the world and makes you feel the issues. Some teachers seem like they know their stuff, this one actually does. Some students will always disagree with her, but in the end I have taken her twice and regretted neither times.
She knows what she is talking about..take LOTS of notes, NOT just what she writes on the board...it will help with Midterm n final questions. Her passion makes the class interesting but it can get boring cause all she does is lectures. Not a super easy A if you have a bad memory.
Mitra is beyond intelligent. What she provides students at the public school level is rare! You want the truth and the inside scoop about the world in which you live, take Mitra [any of her classes].Hard work and attendance a MUST!Read and READ!! Engage her if you can, she is a hard one to debate with but she is fair. And also vey challenging:-)
This is the real deal. This is the reason I went to college. Take this class and change your entire view about the world, our country, politics, our education system, etc. She is VERY intelligent, well-informed and well-read. Grades on take-home midterm, final, paper, attendance, and random "class" assignments. Unique class for SJSU!
P Rokni has touched my life with her lectures. She's a gifted person. Beautiful woman, I find her very attractive as she passionately lectured about social theories. Class is not easy but she will transfer her knowledge to you and push you to open your mind for more learning! If you are serious about learning, take her & push urself for a change.
Dont take this class if you like to daydream/ text all day long. Take this class if you want to learn. Dr. Rokni is extremely intelligent and fascinating, her class is challenging and interesting. Not an easy A, but if you do all the work, read, and come to class, then you should be fine.
Mitra is BRILLIANT. She is extremely intelligent and knows a LOT about her subjects; it reflects through her lectures. She can't stand students who don't respond to her questions, so you need to participate in discussions. No to little homework, a few summaries, a research paper, take home midterm, and a final exam. Must work hard for an A.
While she is a very informed professor, she lectures WAY too much. There is no interaction, no motivation. Her notes on the board are ridiculously unorganized. She goes off topic; hard to know where she's at. She's a nice woman, but will put you on blast if she catches you texting or surfing the net. Take-home midterm. Final. 3 class projects.
Rokni is by far the best professor I've ever had. Her lectures are inspirational and meaningful. She teaches what education is meant to-critical thinking and analysis. Take her for everything you can, I do. Light workload-1 paper, midterm, final and 3 summaries from the book. Mostly lectures, but so information packed, class flies by.
While this wasn't a difficult class, lectures were difficult to sit through. Very extreme views and is actually scary sometimes but is mostly nice. Don't disagree with her. Easy, but hard to sit through sometimes.
She needs to be the president of the United States...best professor I have ever had, I leave her class everyday feeling so motivated and fired up. I wish I could follow her around all day and have her teach me all she knows.
Professor Rokni is an amazing professor and definitely one of the best in that department. While admit she had radical views she won't bash you for having a different mindset. Yes she's a difficult teacher but if you put in the effort you'll earn a good grade. In the end you'll also come out of your class with a lot more knowledge then before.
Great professor, due your readings and take Lots of notes in class. She is one of my favorite professors
Absolutely brilliant professor. Very passionate about her craft. Listen to what she's saying rather than just take notes, it will be worth your while. Grade is based on attendance, 3 writing responses, take home midterm/final, research paper. WouldTakeAgain/10
One of the best teachers I have taken at San Jose State University. She is heavily devoted to whatever subject the class may be in and gains the respect from her students. Don't interrupt her when she is talking and explaining her lecture.
This teacher was OK. Lectures were so boring, she needs powerpoints. Gives like 3-4 unhelpful sentences on what to do for an 8-10 page paper. However, attend class and try your best at every assignment and you should be fine. Her midterms & final were take-home and relatively easy, she lets you know exactly where the info you need is at.I got an A.
This professor is pretty easy to get a good grade, take home midterms, finals, a few projects and additional papers. Expect to watch a lot of documentaries and a lot of long lectures, show up. Just don't get on her bad side or she will notice you and single you out. Also, she's not very sympathetic and doesn't really care about your problems, lol.
Do not take her. She used to be easy, but she is hard and tough now. She gives to many projects. You have 3 class projects, one midterm with 2 questions (3 pages each question). A 10-page research paper, and a final 3 questions( 3 pages each).
She is very passionate about what she teaches but beware!! She is an extremely tough grader and it is not clear at all what she expects from the assignments. You have to go to her office hours to clarify, and even then you won't know exactly what she wants. If you don't attend even one class she will call you out on it.
Rokni's Social Theory class consists of long, rambling lectures against the patriarchy that are very hard to understand because of her thick accent. There are no powerpoints or guide lines to help students make sense of what she is saying. Does not welcome opposing opinions. Confusing class that seems to be based on the professor's personal views.
This class consisted of very long "lectures" that most would define as rants that were all over the place and not very clear. The grading criteria was divided among attendance, three 3 page papers, a midterm and final that are each 6 page papers, and a 10 page term paper. The Professor was highly critical of students' opinions and somewhat rude.
I've taken several of her classes and I loved them because she gets to the core of our social issues. Yes, she gets fustruated when students are rude and disrespectful but remember we are in college to learn and not to be in face book. If you are a person that wants to learn about our social issues because you want to make a difference, taker her!
She is a tough grader and uses Turitin to much.
I cannot reiterate how AWESOME of a teacher Rokni is. She is truly inspirational and you will definitely note this if you engage in the class. Nevertheless, I am not saying the class is a breeze. The class, and especially the lectures can be a handful at times; however, as long as you come to class and do well on the essays you will succeed.
Instructor Rokni is fair and a great Instructor. She's not unreasonable and she responds to emails quickly. She's sweet and grades in a way that will help you, rather than hurt you. Cherish her while you can!!!
A lot of people may complain about Rokni but I think is because they are not willing to engage critically with the material. The class is pretty easy, she gives you all the key words and terms that you should understand and keep in mind when writing your paper. Keep in mind those concepts and tie them with the assigned readings and you will do fine
Professor Rokni is not open to political views that oppose her own. If you express opposing views, she will tell you that you are wrong and why her views are correct. If you are someone who is a third wave feminist and a hardcore liberal, then you will enjoy her class. Her papers are also extremely hard to construct. She also does not post grades.
This class I found to be pretty straight forward, 1 mid term, 1 final and 1 side project. Books for this class will be need for all the test so I would get them or shared them with a friend. She tends to go on and on in her lecture but if you pay attention most of it are good points. Attending class in not mandatory but it makes the test easier
Dr. Rokni is a very tough grader-- so you better grasp the material very well and be ready to participate. I've mostly taken her online classes and they've been the most difficult online classes I have ever taken! I advise you to ask and do you research to have a better understanding of topics along with the textbook.
This is my second online course with Dr. Rokni. She is not the easiest, but if you do the work you will get a decent grade. She is a little tough when grading, but her feedback helps. The class consisted of a weekly discussion post and two replies to classmates, mid-term, and a research paper. The readings and watching the videos are a must.
I took two classes with Dr. Rokni and really appreciated the material, although it is a lot. The second class I took with her was online and consisted of weekly readings, viewing of videos, writing a response and responding to at least two other students posts. There are also two essays (midterm & final). Everything must be turned in on time.
Decided to take her online global society class and to be honest you're better taking it with someone else. She is a very tough grader and no matter how much you try to get full points, she'll leave some type of feedback saying it wasn't enough. Not her discussion posts are worth 4 points and if you keep getting a 2s and 3s, you'll in a bad spot.
Was hesitant about taking Professor Rokni but I definitely agree with others on her style of teaching and workload. She's definitely a tough grader and be prepared to read and participate. I've taken her online class and its a discussion every week and replying to two students. She's indeed very picky and wants you to "contribute more".
Ive taken 3 of Roknis class, and I have no regrets. Shes an excellent teacher, & makes you think outside the box. Finals in her online classes are research essays, which you can work on during the semester. Midterms are based on class material (reading summaries), and are pretty straightforward. If you want to actually learn something take her!
Rokni is very passionate about her work. She is not an easy A class and makes you work for your grade. She calls on you to participate during lecture. Her midterm and final are a bit difficult. Use the book and talk to her during her office hours if you have questions. OR create a study group if the midterm becomes difficult. She cool tho :)
currently taking her 101 course and it is not bad. I do not see why she has negative reviews. her work is straight-forward. read about 6-10 pages and a response but she gives a whole week to do it. pretty easy to me and midterm was easy. just put in work and you will be fine.
Taking 2 of Prof Roknis online classes this semester- SOCI 101 & 116. There is a lot of course material but its manageable. Discussion post due every Wednesday & 2 responses due by Saturday. Midterm was just a glorified discussion post and a research paper due as the final. She doesnt seem the most hands on, but I havent needed her for any help.
this was the easiest class ever, seriously. all we did was read (honestly was a lot about 10-25 pages) and read her lecture notes. then u would reply to a discussion post and reply to two students. that is literally it. midterm is easy and final is 10 page minimum research paper.
Same thing everyday- silently rights notes on the board for 15 minutes at the beginning of class, you sit down and write all the notes. Then she turns the class and starts lecturing, for the rest of class. Unclear guidelines for assignments, NO RUBRICS. Rude ,condescending. no extra credit. Received a B despite doing A work, never missing a class
Notes are hand written on the board with no actual structure. The first 15 minutes of class consists of students copying the notes, followed by the professor "explaining" the notes for rest of the period. Very passionate, and knowledgeable, although I strongly disliked her teaching style, but it might work for those who are auditory learners.
Rokni is NOT an understanding professor what-so-ever, and grades on her own opinions. She tells u to select main points from 80 pages, when in fact she has only 4 main points in mind. If you don't get specifically those points, you will lose half your points automatically. Doesn't care for any *reasonable* excuses, even personal. terrible teacher.
I've taken 3 online courses with Dr. Rokni. Still not the easiest, still a little tough when grading. The class assignments: weekly discussion post based on week's readings/videos (due Wednesdays) and two replies to classmates (due Saturdays), mid-term, and a research paper (8 pages, your topic). The readings and watching the videos are a must.
I honestly love professor Rokni she is super nice and approachable for assistance. Every week we submit 300 word discussion posts based on the prompt(that has to do with reading). Also you must respond to 2 peers 150 words. There is two papers one midterm and one final! Pretty easy and straight forward. The only strict thing is the word count!
The workload isn't horrible, but the material is really difficult to understand. She assigns 20+ pages of reading that makes no sense and expects you to summarize it 300 words, but will grade poorly if you miss the main point. This class is passable but don't expect a good grade if you're a poor writer. She seems nice and does provide feedback.
I took two online courses, and the courses ran the same. Not very forgiving when it comes to special circumstances that require reasonable extensions. If you want an A, you have to go above and beyond her grading rubric... get ready for a research paper
This was a totally asynchronous class and she felt a little absent since there were no weekly virtual office hours but she was helpful when I reached out to her. The class itself is very interesting. Not a particularly hard grader. Weekly discussion posts, midterm paper and final paper - would take her again though now that I know what's expected.
Took her online course and everything was straight forward. One discussion post per week w/ 2 peer responses and she has you quote from the textbook for these discussions so absolutely need the textbooks. It's a lot of heavy reading so it all depends how well you are at reading. The midterm was 2 papers that were 500 words each and a final paper.
This class had very few assignments, so one mistake could mean an entire letter grade. Instructions are always very vague so I lost quite a few points just trying to figure out what she wants. Very harsh grader with seemingly no rhyme or reason. Don't expect an A, even if you put in the work for it. I enjoyed the material but will avoid the prof...
extremely tough grader and lectures that are difficult to understand. its very easy for your grade to slip so you need to put in the effort to pass her classes. textbooks are a must because she requires in text citations or else you will get bad grades on assignments. read all directions carefully
She doesn't read all the students' assignments, grades randomly, and comments are the same for everyone. She's a robot teacher, careless, who doesn't like to communicate with students. You will be on your own trying to understand her teaching style- waste of time and money- didn't learn anything in her class.
You will have weekly DQ responses and you must read from the assigned pages which can be difficult to understand. I searched up the topics on YT to have a better understanding. You can't wing the DQ responses. Make sure to have GOOD quotes! and from different pages as well. There's a paper but START EARLY incase you need help. This class isn't easy
My classmates have a discord, and every single student said the same thing. We were confused about the material but when we asked her for office hour apps, she said she doesn't do office hours. A few classmates and I were really trying to pass this class with an A, but throughout the whole semester we felt that she couldn't care less about us.
Grading criteria for discussion posts is very unclear and she grades VERY harshly (yes, for discussion posts). If you miss one assignment, your grade is pretty much screwed. Be prepared for lots of reading. Did not learn much (if anything) from this class. I would avoid at all costs but if you have to take this professor, be ready!
I took this class, so you don't have to. Please, take my word for it. Her grading criteria is so unclear. She docks points off discussion posts for not following the rubric BUT THERE IS NO RUBRIC.
One of the worst teachers I have ever had. Worst grader. Would give 0 stars if possible. Wish I dropped this class.
Take this class if you dont care about your GPA. No matter how hard you work, you wont get an A. Communication is not her thing and you basically have to teach yourself and figure out what she wants because she wont tell you, even if you ask. All assignments are worth so little so even if you only make ONE mistake, there goes your grade.
Do not take this teacher!! she does not care about students at all. She will look for any errors on the discussion and will try to give you the lower grade as possible. She doesn't care if you learn or not, she will let you learn on your own. If you are a first gen I don't recommend her at all.
Do not take this professor!!! She is the worst professor I have ever had. She literally does not care if you fail. She doesn't give clear instructions and takes points away for any little thing. When you ask her for help she. never response. DON'T TAKE HER !
Absolutely not. I've had Rokni for other classes, but SOCI101 is possibly the most difficult class to take with her. She is not here to help you, and if you ask for help she will deny helping. I asked her for guidance on the final research paper and she said " I can't help you, or I would have to help every other student".
They copy and pasted lectures, so they never posted their own content. We watched and read a lot of other professor's lectures from prestigious universities. It is like she hated her job at a state school. Her grading criteria was not clear. She does not answer emails, or provide any constructive feedback. I'm shocked she still has a job.
Never helped, or offered feedback. When I emailed them for further instruction on an assignment, they told me to "figure it out, and look at the syllabus." They never used her own material, and only posted content from professors at private universities. Nothing more than a bully. They do not reflect SJSU's values. Do not take their class.
The grading criteria was not clear. They never responded to emails, or when they did, it was extremely hostile. I expereinced a lot of emotional distress during the class, and cried a lot.
No communication at all and instructions were awful. Be sure to read the material or you won't do well on the assignments. There is also a huge research paper and it takes a ton of time. While this is an interesting subject, this class is not a good option. If you are a sociology major, you are better off getting someone else instead.
I took this course in 2017 and developed wrist tendinitis due to the teaching style, to which I am still suffering with today. The professor erased notes quickly, does not believe in PowerPoint presentations, banned recordings, and was not accommodating to students with disabilities, which came across as ableist.
