Mitzi is a great professor who is very knowledgeable and philosophical. I never knew nursing ethics could be so interesting.
Mitzi is a ethical goddess
makes the class alot of fun
Good. Very open for discussion. Encourages participation.
Mitzi rocks! Lots of work involved but she really makes you understand and care about ethics.
Mitzi is such a great teacher, she makes the class interesting and fun.
Mitzi is a wonderful teacher, she makes the class more interesting with thought provoking ideas and discussions.
An excellent and thought provoking teacher. Highly recommend her!
Great teacher...Great stories related to the topics at hand. Ver enjoyable class :o)
Tough tough professor. Obviously loves the content, however, has extremely high expectations of students submitted work... higher than undergrad level for sure. Learned alot, however, would not choose to take another course with Mitzi
an ethic teacher should not lie.
Amazing Teacher!! Knows her stuff about ethics an her personal stories relate to topic she is teaching. Attenance, not so manatory, but I found myself looking forward to her lectures. Can be a tad hard on the marking side, especially when it comes to presentations, but an awesome teacher overall!
she makes promisses, but she was not reliable.
She is very clear about the concepts. But you'll have alot of extra, unnecessary work (weekly assignments). And she's a hard marker.
Great and interesting
she actually made ethics interesting! Follow her marking scheme according to the course kit and you will do fine. For presentations she can be a little difficult tho she likes creative stuff.
Excellent professor, nurse and mentor! Very accommodating and compassionate. An all around great person and strives for the same in her students. Classes are discussion driven and assignments are fair as well as interesting.
Great teacher! Cares allot for her students and connects on a personal level. Very compassionate and encourages students to never give up. Very knowledgeable in the field of Social Work. Reasonable with marks and willing to give extensions. Having this teacher is a must!
Mitzi is a wonderful and caring professor. She shares stories of her nursing career to make lectures worth listening to. She is highly ethical and promotes client centered care. She offers to help with essays and always provides constructive feedback. Make your presentations as creative as possible. She appreciates hard-working students.
Mitzi is an amazing professor. She is very helpful and her tests/exams are very fair. She tells you exactly what you need to know for the test. It is very important that you read the textbook for this class as all the questions come directly from it. Attendance is important as it will help you understand the material.
Mitzi is an awesome prof, she is very compassionate and loves nursing, her explanation were clear and ur gonna love her
Great teacher. Attend class and you'll pass. Skip and you might miss a surprise test.
This professor was by far one of my favourites. I had her for a second semester class and third semester. She is one of the sweetest people I know and can go to her for absolutely anything. She is all about the students and made learning fun and fair. If I would, I would learn everything from her!
nice wonderful professor, tests are tricky TRICKY. but shes so sweet and is very ethical. she loves what she does. TESTS ARE TOUGH
Mitzi is one of the best professors I have ever had. she there to help you be a successful student. Nevertheless, you still have to play your part as a student. Study hard for the test, Be creative with your presentations and do everything she asks you to do and you will get an A in the course. She's not like most professors, she's very caring.
Professor Mitzi Mitchell is a very caring professor that is easy to talk to. Her class was always very enjoyable as she shared her invaluable nursing experiences. I will never forget some of the emotionally touching stories she told.
Dr. Mitchell is one of the kindest professors in nursing. Her depth of knowledge and understanding of nursing was exceptional. She cares about us. She cares about students. She is thoughtful, kind and respectful. She truly teaches nursing the way it should be taught: in a kind, caring manner. I learned what nursing is and I thank her for that.
On this day when we give thanks, I would like to thank Professor Mitchell. Professor Mitchell taught me ethics at York University and I have never forgotten the wisdom she shared with us. To this day, I still remember her saying "practice nursing based on your personal values". She taught us to learn more about ourselves and what we value.
The most amazing Prof - ever!
What more can a nursing student want? Dr. Mitchell is always there for us and cares. Profs care, nurses care, and Dr. Mitchell cares. Her story with Mr. SM will bring you to tears. She writes fantastic articles and has two doctorates! She has more degrees than Sheldon on BBT! She is engaging and take one of her courses if you can!
I had Professor Dr. Mitzi G Mitchell for the 1st time last night (she is taking over some classes from another Prof). I learned so much in 3 hours ! She is so clear and inspirational. I love nursing now more than ever. I wish I knew other courses she was teaching: I want to take my whole BScN with her. She is a must. Cheers.
Prof Mitchell is taking over some health courses from another Prof. She has been amazing. Everyone is going to class just to hear her!!!! She is soooo not boring. Can't wait for next week - may even do the readings this weekend :) .....
Dr. Mitchell teaches uniquely - you learn ! Through reflection, I see the importance of critical thinking in practice. Thanks Dr. Mitchell - you are not salty :) you rock !
Professor Mitchell is a great teacher when she focuses on teaching the material. Sadly she can't seem to stay on topic and it often takes half the class for her to start covering actual material. She is often sidetracked and goes off into tangents or shows the class unrelated websites/videos. This is fun at times but if you want to learn just read.
Professor Dr Mitchell cares about student success. I have learned more in her classes than any others this term. She is kind nurse.
Had Mitzi for NUR 102. She took over for Anne Moorhouse and really saved the class because Anne doesn't teach anything other than Nightingale. Mitzi's exam was fairly easy - you need to study, either textbook or slides both are fine. She's really nice and wants to help - she's quite the character.
Dr. Mitzi was a great Prof for theory. Her exam was fair and she is really nice. You can really tell how important her family and learning is to her. She is a good person. Learned a lot in four weeks from her. Glad she took over - hope to have more courses with her at York/Seneca :-)
Mitzi is a smart, kind, and thoughtful Professor. She has the qualities of a great person and a great nurse. She knows her stuff: especially ethics and theory!! Read lots - you will do great. She likes Dr. Gadamer - a physician and philosopher. She has written about his ideas and relates them to nursing - good read :) cheers
Happy Holidays to the greatest prof - like ever ! Dr. Mitzi Mitchell !!
Thank you Dr Mitchell for assisting me with my graduate education. Dr Mitchell is an incredible mentor and kind person. I have completed law school and now am opening my own practice. Thank you Dr Mitchell for helping me find my way.
Dr Mitzi Mitchell gives clear direction and support. She truly cares about her work and her students. You will love her.
Dr. Mitzi Grace Mitchell really cares about her students. I am just beginning my BScN degree and she has been so caring and kind to our class. You really can go to her and talk to her. I didn't think I would be enjoying her lectures as much as I am, but I can't wait to go each week. I really hope I have her for more courses this year. She rocks.
Dr. Mitchell taught us about the concept of kindness among leaders. Her kind approach, as a leader in nursing, speaks for itself. Kindness ... all health care professionals need to hear her..... thanks Dr. M.
Great Prof - clear and great lectures.
Dr. Mitzi teaches us nursing. She is interesting and her lectures are great. She just does not read off the PP. She really teaches us. I have learned a lot from her. Cheers.
Dr. Mitchell has been a mentor to me over the past four years. She inspired and lead me towards my greatest academic achievement - earning my PhD! Thank you Mitzi from the bottom of my heart for being there for me during this often difficult and painful, yet rewarding academic journey....
Well - where do I begin - few times in our lives, we meet someone who inspires us as much as Prof Mitchell has - in leadership, we are learning about how to inspire nurses and the profession of nursing (and discipline of nursing). Can inspiration be taught? I do not know - but I know what it feels like to be feel inspired by someone - cheers. MB
Thanks Prof Mitzi Mitchell for your honesty & professionalism. I am proud to learn from you. Cheers.
Dr Mitchell makes complex ideas easy to grasp. Theory is easier when you have her. Her personal stories are touching. A must have prof.
Dr. Mitchell is there for students - period. You can talk with her about anything and she will care and listen. Highly respected prof
Dr. Mitzi is a great nurse and professor. She really came to help us when we needed her. She cares and leads in an inspirational way. I wish all RNs and Professors were like her. Thanks doc.
Had Mitzi for one of my social service workers class. She used creative methods to teach us. Thanks Prof - we miss you. Cheers.
The best
The best is not good enough ! She is great -
Dr. Mitchell was great for our first class in the BScN program at York University/Seneca. I am so pleased we had her for the first course. She eased us into the program and really is kind and caring. Hope to have her next semester.
the best prof I have ever had - cheers
Great
I have found Dr. Mitzi Grace Mitchell a wonderful (but terribly simple and honest) teacher, a mentor, and a best friend at the same time. You can take her out of your sight, but you can't take her out of your mind. I wish her all the best.
What's Up Doc? Enjoy - her students understand. Best Professor in Nursing - a great leader for students to emulate - cheers.
Few people, let alone Professors, touch our lives as Dr. Mitchell has so many students. We have her for Leadership this summer and she has truly shown us what a leader is. We all wish her nothing but the best - for her and her daughter. She is a true leader, academic and writer. She rocks.
Excellent
Great prof who cares
Dr. Mitchell is a fair Prof who cares about student success. I hope I get to take another course with her.
Dr. Mitzi Mitchell is a fair, kind, and caring person and Professor. She taught leadership and management this spring. Her lectures taught us that the leader is within us. Thanks Dr. Mitchell. Cheers.
A great Prof and person! I am proud to have taken two courses with her. Everyone should have Dr. Mitchell at least once. She really cares about students. She is a kind person and nurse.
Professor is great. Saw her today. Want her to teach me more.
Dr. Mitchell was the external reviewer for my PhD, which I successfully, defended last week. Her feedback regarding my quantitative analysis was outstanding. Her feedback taught me more about multiple linear regressions. Without her feedback and leadership, I don't believe I could have defended my research as well as I did. Cheers.
Dr. Mitzi Grace Mitchell was on my committee for my MSN thesis. Her in depth knowledge in caring theory and transitioning was outstanding. She often lead the team with her in philosophical caring research and theory. Thank you Dr. Mitchell. It is an honor to learn from you. Best of wishes always.
Last week I defended my PhD in Psychology (with success!). Dr. Mitzi Grace Mitchell was my external reviewer for my dissertation. Using a triangulation approach, Dr. Mitchell assisted the committee in better understanding the philosophical complications of this type of research. I would recommend Dr. Mitchell to anyone doing research in this area.
Yesterday, I defended, successfully, my PhD in Health Policy. As the external reviewer, Dr. Mitchell supported and guided the team with her knowledge in qualitative inquiry. Having two doctorates herself, she is able to give guidance to both qualitative & quantitative analyses. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for an external! Cheers
Even though theory sucks, I really enjoy this Prof's lectures. I am going to class, but hate theory. Go figure - she is really great !
Dr. Mitchell told us she is student focused in class this week. Never heard a Prof say that before - cool - cheers - try to take a course with her if you can !
miss her! seneca was a great experience because of mitzi. she loves what she does and it shows!
Dr M G MITCHELL has been so helpful this term with our essay assignments. She is student learner focused - it is rare! Thanks Doc! Cheers.
A great professor.
Nursing profs should all be more like her: she is very giving and kind to her students. She goes the extra mile for you. Try to take theory with her.
I adore and respect this woman. I don't know how she embodies perfection. She is a mother, a teacher and a shoulder to lean on. Need I say she's terribly honest. She's so humble. Oops... I forgot to mention intelligent!!! She has like 8 degrees and that's enough to tell you she knows her stuff. I love love her
Fantastic Professor and person ! Honest, kind, and very giving. Nursing needs more like her - love her !
Dr. Mitchell - I will never forget this Professor. She is kind and a fighter too. She has a lot of education and is very humble.
Kind, giving, caring, loving, a mother, wonderful, an educator, a researcher, a writer, a mentor, A GREAT PERSON AND RN! Love learning from her - cheers
My life can begin again! Last week I defended, successfully, my PhD dissertation in Public Policy. Dr. Mitzi Grace Mitchell was my external reviewer. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an external in quantitative statistical regressions. She was an outstanding support mentor to my committee. Thank you Dr. Mitchell.
There are not enough characters to explain how amazing this woman is!!! The best prof I ever had. The most caring, down to earth, understanding, intelligent, funny and lenient person. She bases the class around the student's needs. She doesnt just read powerpoints she has discussions and is so loving and passionate about her work. love her to death
So happy to have Dr. Mitchell for NURSING theory this term! She is student focused and cares. A real gem to find !
Dr. Mitzi Mitchell! Well she an amazing professor! this is the class you can go to after a stressful anatomy lecture and enjoy what shes teaching! She has her own way of teaching, but you know what... everything sticks to your head, she uses real life examples and makes the 2 hours fun to learn! She very caring and will honestly help you in any way
A great learning experience and great Prof. Highly recommend.
Wow! Dr. Mitchell is an awesome Prof. Taking ethics with her. Amazing lecture.
Dr. Mitzi Mitchell is the best! She teaches and cares about people and students. She is very student and client focused. I have never met another Prof like her. She actually asks us how we are!! She rocks.
Super fantastic Prof. By far, my best Prof of all time. She is an awesome person and RN! Miss her.
Dr. Mitzi Grace Mitchell, is truly an inspiring women. I've had the pleasure of having her as one of my professor in my first year of nursing school. As one of her students, I saw her as not only a professor but a role model in my future nursing career. She is very caring and passionate for patients and students and I hope that in my future nursing
Dr Mitzi Mitchell should teach the entire program! Full stop. She is the best Prof. Take anything you can from her. She teaches her students how to care for people by caring for us! A remarkable woman.
I have to let all students aware: Dr. Mitchell is the best Prof... ever.
Dr. Mitzi should teach the whole program!
Dr. Mitchell RN, PhD was a an excellent example of what a Prof should be: kind, considerate, and caring. Teaching us about the artistic way of knowing was really cool. "Viva la vida" can teach you a lot about values and nursing practice! Check out the song and see what you think! Thanks Doc for making us critically think ! see you soon - Cheers !!
Prof Mitchell was outstanding. "Viva" Iive in Japan was a great way to pull history and ways of knowing & caring together -- love her lectures ! Best Professor ever.
A profound Professor with extremely sound philosophical ideologies - Dr. Mitchell's work with advocacy among youth & her notions related to Deontology and Liberal Individualism are very strong. She is multi-layered and supports her students and peers. She goes out of her way for people as few people do. I highly recommend her.
the best!
Dr Mitchell Professor of Caring Nursing is a gem! A rare blue diamond! She supports students outside the classroom & never makes us feel unwelcome or uncomfortable in her lectures. Lectures are engaging - especially the head transplant coming in December 2017 by top neurosurgeon, Dr. Canavero from Italy. Ethics & the world will never be the same.
the best prof
Please let Dr. Mitchell teach more Nursing courses! Who do we ask? She is the best Prof we have ever had. She is client focused, person focused, family focused, and student focused: she is a strong nurse and woman who really cares! The world needs more people like her !!!! Thanks Dr. Mitchell for being you !!! We love you.
Dr. Mitzi taught me how to care and be kind. As a future nurse and mother, I thank her deeply. If you can take ethics or theory with her, try.
Professor Mitzi taught me REALLY how to be a KIND CARING NURSE. Now that I am done my degree in Nursing, I remember her distinctly as really teaching me about nursing. Yeah, I know that blood enters the heart by the Vena Cava, but what I really know is that patients/people want to be cared for by kind nurses who do not judge them & l listen.
Taught me a lot about my nursing beliefs and values. Taught philosophical foundations. Learned a lot about myself.
An amazing professor! Extremely encouraging, and motivating guide. Prompt in her response on any query by me. Her encouragement, enthusiasm and positivity made the course interesting and easy to study. She is one of the best professor I have come across in my academic life.
It was an honor to be taught by Dr. Mitzi. If all my professors (though unique in their own way) were like her, I'd enroll in college over and over again. Mitzi is a strong, exceptionally brilliant, kind, compassionate and tolerant woman. What fascinates me about her is her motherly nature. Her willingness to encourage and nurture is amazing
A very interesting Professor who teaches nursing in her own unique way. We learned that medical science and human science are both important to nursing practice. By role play, we learned how to handle a patient with a heart attack while being caring and focused on the person. Dr. Mitchell is very knowledgeable . I am very glad to be learning alot.
We miss Dr. Mitzi Mitchell. She is an exceptional person and educator. We have learned a lot from her. Cheers.
Prof Mitzi is very giving and gentle. She is supportive to students. We are glad we have her as our prof.
Amazing human being. Inspirational, supportive, kind, loving, strong, brilliant! And many more...
One of the best Professors at Seneca! She marks super easy and understands her students to the greatest; making her student focused. Her classes are the best as she creates a stress free environment and lectures are my favorite as she is so enthusiastic and seems as if she cares about her students.
Dr. Mitchell is a very strong person & woman! She taught me how to stick with life when times are rough. It was not an easy term for sure with all that happened, but Dr. Mitchell supported her students one million percent. FEEL YOUR HEART BEATING - Superbowl 50 - thanks Doc! We are in this together!!
Dr. Mitchell is one of the most caring and compassionate professors I know. She truly has a heart for the students. She is packed with knowledge and experience and makes time to meet with you after class hours. Class lectures are fun and loaded with humor. Come to class eager to learn and you will do great! Dr. Mitchell is the BEST prof' @ Seneca!
Dr. Mitchell teaches leadership in nursing. I think she is a leader in nursing to her students, family, and peers. Dr. Mitchell cares. Can you teach someone how to care was the topic today? All I can say is I am learning a lot about caring from Dr. Mitchell and we thank her very very much. Thank you Mitzi!!
A very caring Prof, nurse, and person! Cheers.
Dr Mitzi is the best. Try to take any course with her! Her lectures fly by. Cheers.
This is my first course with Dr. Mitchell. She, as others have stated, has a very kind nature. She really does care about her students and learning. She doesn't read from Power Points; she teaches the material. I have enjoyed having her teach me. I wish I could have more courses with her in 3rd and 4th year.
Last week I defended my Master of Science in Nursing degree. Dr. Mitchell was on my committee. She gave great insight and assistance during this long journey. I am grateful she was on my committee & I hope to write a paper with her soon.
Dr. Mitchell is a fantastic Prof! Take ethics with her if you can!
Mitzi is an honest person & Professor - be warned though, she expects a lot from her students and her essays are complicated. She is there to help thought which is awesome - few Profs are really there for students. You can trust her. Cheers.
A beautiful Professor and person. Dr. Mitzi is always there to help her students. She cares about people and she is always there for students.
Dr. Mitchell cares about nursing! She inspires us to learn about nursing. I hope to be as kind as her when I graduate.
Being able to count on a Prof is really important. Being able to count on a nurse is even more so. Being able to count on a person is rare. Thanks Dr. Mitchell for all you have done for us. Cheers. Enjoy Cuba !!
Dr. Mitchell inspired me to apply to medical school after nursing school. With her help, I am heading to U of T Medicine this fall. Dr. Mitchell will support your dreams. She is a gem to the healthcare world! She believes in you when no one does. A prof you can trust - take a course with her if you can!
OUTSTANDING! Cheers.
Dr Mitzi Mitchell is the best!
This June I will be walking the stage and obtaining my degree. The past 4 years have been a bittersweet whirlwind. Looking back on my undergraduate education I can honestly say that Mitzi was the best embodiment of what it means to be a nurse. She has left an indescribable affect on how I view my profession and the future I envision for myself.
Dr Mitchell is the best person, prof ever! She loves students and she is so caring.
Dr. Mitzi Mitchell showed people how to care. She taught us how to care. Why the school keeps unqualified profs is beyond me!
I'm not quite sure how this many students can have so much praise and attest to her being a fantastic professor when this woman doesn't teach. Welcoming and kind? No doubt about that, but is a flaky teacher. Cancels classes often & gives ONE decent lecture. Before a test she tells you what you "should know". Then her tests are crazy on theory ...
Mitzi is a phenomenal prof that goes above an beyond to make sure the students understand theory being taught, and always uses real life examples! She is inspirtational and after taking her course i knew nursing is for me! Her lectures are not like other proffesors reading of ppwt! She put times and effort into helping us as students understand
Mitzi has been a game changer and real inspiration in my life. She is a professor makes the course a fun - learning experience for everyone. She has really been beyond just the textbook and curriculum by making sure everyone becomes as wonderful a nurse as she is. She has really proven what therapeutic relationships are by implementing it.
Dr Mitchell deserves the care she gives students - Profs should learn from her, not just students, on how to be kind. Cheers - Doc, thanks !!
Dr. Mitzi is an amazing professor in both teaching and caring for her students. She goes beyond the expectations of the curriculum, by making the class very engaged in critical thinking discussions. She is a very loyal and caring professor, defiantly the best professor I have ever had! Hope to have her in my 2nd year courses!
Dr. Mitzi Mitchell is such an amazing professor. She is really caring, respectful and supportive to her students. She is non judgmental and makes everyone feel welcome in her class. She truly cares about her students progress; gives good feedback and runs amazing lectures. She is definitely one of the best professors I've ever had.
Graduation is coming up! Dr. Mitchell was the most memorable Prof I had during my studies towards my BScN degree at York University Collaborative program. Dr. Mitchell, you are very kind and taught me personally what it means to be a good nurse and person. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Cheers.
Grad is coming! Thanks Dr. Mitchell - Your support has meant the world to me. I am an RN because of you. An exceptional prof for nursing theory. Read Humanbecoming ALOT!
DR. Mitchell, we want you to teach leadership after this spring please. Ethics too. Lots of students need you on campus this summer. Dr. Mitchell is an excellent person and prof. What does it mean to be a nurse? She will teach you. Thank you Dr. Mitchell for your good and insightful ways.
A great Professor - always there for students.
Very glad to say I defended my PhD dissertation last week. Thank you Dr. Mitchell for your mentorship.
She is a Professor I will never forget!! She is so sweet and kind & does her very best to support her students. I am honored to have her as my Professor this term. I am taking my 2nd degree & Dr. Mitzi is by far the best Professor I have ever had. Dr. Mitzi is able to make complex philosophy make sense. I can see why she is a great nurse.
Thank you Dr. Mitchell for teaching us again. Loved having you in 4th year. You are the only Prof we had across all 4 years in the program - you taught 1, 2, 3, and 4th year classes. I will be doing my Master's now because of your inspiration at York in Human Science. Thanks!!
Dr Mitchell taught theory and philosophy this fall. I am a 2nd degree entry BScN student at York U. Dr Mitchell did not read PP - she actually talked to us. At first I found it a bit weird, but as the weeks progressed, I saw she was living what she was teaching - caring kindness nursing. The class really connected with her. We did not use the book
Beware: doesnt teach. A nice person however extremely disorganized, brags about herself a lot, grandiose sense of self-importance & often cuts people off to go on her own tangents. Frequently doesn't show up for classes. Didn't show up for exam review, posted it the night before the final. Do your readings, you won't learn from her.
I think if Mitzi actually prepared lectures and planned ahead, she couldve been a great prof. Unfortunately, she did neither. She used another profs syllabus so she wasnt even clear on what we had to do for assignments but she was a generous grader. Class was entertaining but mostly self taught using the text, especially for the final.
Dr Mitchell is an external reviewer for my PhD dissertation examining anxiety outcomes among undergraduate nursing students in the USA. I am nearing the final stretch of my research. At this time of year, I wish to thank Dr. M.G.M. for her feedback on my first 3 chapters of multiple regression analyses using power analysis equations. Thank you. R.H
The criticisms about her being disorganized and not showing up for class are true, but her class is so easy its a trade-off. Minimal effort required for an A (as long as you can write a decent paper). The only thing is that her being so disorganized can be anxiety inducing, but care about the course as much as she does and that's enough to pass
A great Prof Students should see Profs are people too She taught me ethics 9 years ago and still is one of the most caring people and nurses I know. Good luck to those who dont believe that nurses should be caring.
While it is true that she doesn't seem as organized as other professors she truly seems to care about her students and connects with them. She gives honest and good advice for doing well. I think people learn more from her style and are better prepared. She did use the syllabus from another professor.
I completed my PhD Gender Studies. Rating a person is like rating a car: some like certain cars more than others. Rating a person, who is human & non-judgmental, is difficult. As education changes online, Profs need to change too. Undergrad classes, use the same outlines. Grad studies have greater flexibility. Dr M adds a personal touch - online.
Excellent Prof. who genuinely cares about her students, she is like an institution that disseminate information to others for the betterment of society, she is there to help you and make you understand the humanistic approaches to take care of your patients. She remembers her students and is one of my reference for admission in Grad. studies. Thnx
Dr. Mitzi Mitchell is honestly one of the best professors I've had during undergrad. Had her for two classes in my 2nd and 4th year and I could tell she was genuinely interested her students' success. She's not only invested in her students academic success, but also in their career success as a new grad nurse and even through grad school.
Mitzi is the best professor I've had so far in nursing school. She is the definition of a professor who genuinely cares about her students and their success. She does an amazing job in the lectures when explaining the content & letting you know what is important to learn for the tests! Her tests are also very fair. I would definitely recommend her.
Dr. Mitchell is an amazing professor who will teach you thinks applicable to nursing and beyond! Now that I've graduated I think back to her class when I'm working bedside but also everyday life. She teaches you about not only the material but how to apply the material and understand it. Could not recommend her enough!
Dr. Mitzi Mitchell is a fantastic professor, I would not have become the nurse I am today without taking her. She made classes interesting as related it back to her practice to make concepts easier to understand. She was/is always willing to help those who show interest and ask for help. She will forever be my favourite professor.
As a nursing student, I had 2 classes with Doctor Mitchell: ethics and leadership. She did not use a textbook, she was teaching the subject as if it is an exciting story in which all the necessary information is included. She is incredibly erudite, responsible, and responsive to her students' needs. She finds an individual approach to each student.
