Awful class. Would rather have watched grass grow. Learned nothing, listen to him ramble on for hours on end. Mo is immature and knows shockingly little of the material he teaches. He provided incorrect information more than a few times. AVOID!!!
Not a good instructor. Does not know what he teaches. This class is so boring. Waste of time.
Class was so easy that I barely learned anything. I learned more from the text then from the instructor's lecture.
What an awful teacher! His lectures contradicted the text on several occassions...get this...He CHOOSES the text! Ex: People spend more cash than credit. REALLY??? Then why is credit so dangerous? Cash should be dangerous? You don't ma

TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE, IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO! After reading Mo's bad reviews I opted for the class online. Weekly open book tests and no final. Even in my brief face to face encounters with Mo he was standoffish and a pain to deal with. Stick w/ web.
I think Mo is a great teacher. Very organized. I'm surprised he has such terrible ratings.
I thought he was alright. I didn't like my score for the debate and he didn't give me enough credit but other than that, the class was cool.
The review on Amazon of the book was correct, it didn't provide enough info to develop the correct answers to problems. Mo lectures from the book with little additional info. Open book exams so bookmark critical info and your set.
His lectures were terrible and unorganized. I dropped the class.
I took his online class, it was preaty easy. I didn't like the grading I got on some assignments, but I didn't try to argue with him.
DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASSES WITH HIM! He was the worst teacher I have ever had! Doesnt speak very clearly, very disorganized and not very informitive.
How did he get the job? Disorganized, and poor english, which caused bad communication. Mo graded down due to format but these guidelines are not clearly presented in the assignment sheet. Maybe I'm uptight, but a teacher using "u" "lol" and typing in caps all the times creeps me out.

I took the online class. It was a breeze. The test answers were the same on the books web site for the practice test.
Shoot how do I say this without offending? I really dislike this class but love the material in textbook. I hate that he is not very personable and not very willing to understand or work with students after he's not very clear himself. I don't like his mispellelings yet be measured on that. There is little or no feedback. No respect.
It's true, the bad english really bugged me every class. This class takes beyond hours of outside reading to get a decent grade. He is hard to listen to because he is always saying "uh" "eh" "yeah?" thank goodness for the book on the exam, it helps. The class was pretty hard, he spends alot of time giving examples.
Poor grammer and an exclamation point at the end of every sentence. The "my grade" feature was never accurate because he didn't remove a non-existent midterm. I am glad I didn't have to sit through a class with him. on-line is a better way to go if you have to take Mo.
I cannot believe this teacher claims a Master when he seems to have not gone through high school himself. He is not always clear on his instructions, does not spell very good yet expects perfection from his students. Perhaps he should take "his" own classes first.
I took this course seriously and it was worthwhile. I didn't notice any English problems when communicating with Mo. I do wish that he had participated more closely in our online forum disucssions, which -- without much guidance from the instructor -- tended to be repetitive, or to drift away from legal principles, toward personal opinion.

Mr. Hassan is a very opinionated professor who repeatedly brings his opinions into the classroom. He does not teach the subject as it should be taught (in my opinion). I got an A in his class, and would expect that it is not too difficult. However, he is not a worthwhile teacher and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
Learned alot and it was very informative class. Great class.
Mo was very helpful with answering questions and explaining the topic, he kept the class interesting!! I’d recommend him to everybody.
I enjoyed the In'l Bus class, very clear instructions and expectations. Good job by the professor. As a working professional, I found his structure to be very helpful.
DANGER, DANGER, DANGER - avoid at all costs
I liked this class and the information it provided. The teacher was helpful and supportive of those who put an effort. I recommend it to all Bus majors.
Avoid this guy - he is not interested in the success of students and doeds not care. Many students find him ****.
He makes a hard class interesting and is no nonensse but if you study you can do well. It is hard material to learn but the teacher communicates well.
Mo is a horrible teacher. Knows the subject but can't teach it. Rude and interruptive to students. Grades based on how well he likes you. Told a classmate to stop coming because he was too "controversial". Is very opinionated & does not allow others to express their's. Do not take his class. Ever.
I've taken 2 of Mo's online classes and LOVED them, but if you're not interested in business, don't take this class. Tip: Get a digital textbook! We had a quiz every week on the chapter, and a few writing assignments, but there was no midterm or final. I passed this class with a B+ without putting in very much work at all. Just do the work assigned
I would not recommend this teacher to anyone that dosn't want to listen to a teachers leftwing political agenda. I took the class to learn about business law. Instead I learned about how horrable the death penalty is. I learned about gay marriage and my carbon footprint. My views conflict with Mo's views and I was graded down on my papers.
If you have to take BUS LAW go to another college - Mohammed Hassan does not know law and force feeds his opinions and bias on the class. His online classes suck, as he never participates in discussions and he grades you down for having a different, but valid opinion. I regret taking his classes as he has little to offer any motivated student.
I wouldn't recomment this teacher! Horrable! He has no consideration at all or what so ever! I spend my whole day in court to do my report and I missed my whole day of work pay, still get worst grade. I hope this teacher will realize that full time work and school is not that easy!Go and get another teacher!!
Everyone hates Mo, but he is a good teacher if you are interested in law. He does not give constructive criticism, which I constantly told him. But there are great class discussions and constant update on the news. Overall I enjoyed the class.
i had his online int bus class. it was easy and he was really nice and helpful. he promptly answered all my emails. do the work and get atleast a 15 on each test and you can easily pass
AVOID THIS GUY - he pontificates and really doesn't know law. he picks his favorites and ignores the rest of us when he even bothers replying to any discussions, then singles you out. his grading isn't clear either.
DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY! Wait until you transfer. He assigned HUGE amounts of homework and does not have clear grading policies. He does not teach the subject well and doesn't care whether you pass or not. I have a 3.7 GPA and this was the last class I took at Cabrillo before I transfered. By far the most demanding.
Mo is a horrible teacher. His online class is not put together and all over the place. The tests are written as if they were opinions and are meant to trick you. I don't feel like he writes the class in a way that is passable unless you dedicate extreme amounts of time in deciphering his crappy instructions. Worst class I have ever taken.
His business law class is very hard. Only take this if you need to take it or want to go into law. The huge assignments are worth almost no points and the class average for his tests are in the D range. The tests are on very small details of hundreds of pages of reading. You can learn a lot but only if you are willing to dedicate a lot of time
Yes- his instructions are thrown through-out the web site. Doesn?t seem to care about the progress of his students as great teachers often do. He rules his class with an iron fist making absolutely no exceptions for students who actually are trying. Approaches his students like a bitter high school teacher doing time. Seems reluctant to do his job-
HORRIBLE TEACHER - a little dictator who is not interested or concerned in student success. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I took his online class- he was pretty prompt with answering questions, but there was a lot of self-discipline involved with the class. A lot of reading and quizzes. He wasn't always very clear, and things were overwhelming at first-some of the quizzes were for the wrong chapters, requirements/deadlines weren't always clear. Quiz answers=in the boo
AWFUL!! I would think that when the entire class fails every test, the teacher would at least give a curve. No. Mo is the only business law teacher at Cabrillo and it's a bummer, I would recommend taking BUS18 online if possible.
His court visit assignment was not very clear. I had to ask him twice on what he wanted and i was still unsure. He does not care about his students. No makeup on work, his tests are hard, only 30 minutes are gives for tests. He barely replies to your messages and he cheks his email like once a week..He can be very rude too.
This teacher failed to return 2 emails and multiple voice mails regarding a question about adding to his class. Very very disappointed with this instructor's professionalism (lack thereof).
quiz open 3 days online, only one chance. *MUST* participate in blog??? unable to avoid class for degree. only offered in fall & online!
Good teacher, really knows what he's talking about, and he'll work with you if you put a sincere effort. Do not take this class if you're lazy or disorganized. Law classes are time-consuming, so don't kid yourself that you can get by without reading the book. Overall solid class, just need to keep ontop of due dates. His online exams are tough.
This class is a very good class to take and you learn a lot from it. This class is alot of work but very educational. You have to read the book to suceed in this class! The tests are usually less than half of the points given, but there is a lot of homwork and assignments(not just exams)I got a average ofa C on the exams and I recieved an A! Good L
his classes are very strict. if you do the wrong assignment you get no credit. no make up tests. his tests are easy if you do the reading. overall you have to be willing to do all the work and not lag at all. I got an A in both of his classes but you have to do the reading and all assignments and not be lazy!

He's very unclear on most of his work. Hes cocky and stuck-up, he fails to return emails and fails to understand questions asked. The class is very strict and no late work or make up assignments are allowed. Test are hard an incomprehensible (a pro is that notes are allowed during test).
I took this class online. I ended up really enjoying his online Bus law class even after reading the comments here. Although there may seem to be a lot of assignments they are easy to understand and easy to do as long as you're organized. You have to read the chapters carefully to be successful but I think it was a great class and I learned a lot!
Assignments are not clear, specific requirements of assignments are not clear as well. GROUP QUIZZES?? With group grades[can be a + or - depending on individual]Quizes are in case studiy, how can we learn if we don't know what the definitions are of the terms? He says WE should be professional, says the guy who is too lazy to fix his web page.
I've taken two classes from Mo, one online, one IRL. He is tough and strict and there's a lot of work to do but if you keep up and you study, you can get decent grades.
I took his class online. Pretty straight forward, no surprises. He expects that you will do the work and organize yourself. He will not accept late work. He grades fairly. I would definitely take his online class again.
Don't fool yourself. Take his online class, it is way more doable. He will refer you to instructions if you try and ask something, or just not answer you. If you want a decent grade, work with someone on the online quizzes. There are weekly quizzes, chapter questions, news replies, and sometimes case studies. Demanding, register with caution.
beware - he is not clear and interested in helping students does not answer emails or questions and seems bothered by us most of the time - not professional at all
Very unclear assignments, and never returns emails or voicemails - you're left hanging. This is my worst experience at Cabrillo. Am I the only one that thinks this guy simply does not care about his student's success? CAUTION!!!! AVOID THIS ONE!
Not of fan of people that teach online classes. They don't seem to care about the students at all.
I took his class online (Summer '13) so I can't comment on what he is like as a person, but the class wasn't too bad. The instructions were clear, the assignments were easy, and the quizzes were tough but fair. With a little work, I got an A. Don't really understand the dislike, but he is the only one teaching the class so, oh well.
Mo definitely has high standards, & he is very clear about his expectations from the start. The course load is heavy! His approach is fairly conventional, but he is very knowledgeable about business w/a strong focus on current events. The work is fairly clear-cut, but exam ?'s could be ambiguous. The more active you are, the more you'll get from Mo
Mo's online class seems like it has been set up the same for a number of years. It definitely needs a re-vamp. Mo seems to be a nice guy, but be sure to email specific needs. His lack of effective communication through email is frustrating. Responds with indirect answers. Class was easy if you put in the time. Google is your friend.
By far one of the worse teachers here at cabrillo. If you must take this class, take online only! As with others, realize prereading a must, attendance and if irl a thick skin important. He does not answer emails or texts and you are left to figure it out, last minute not your friend.
Probably the worst teacher I have come across. If you want to interact with a robot, take this class. If you want to learn, stay away from this class, buy a book and read it. He is not helpful or interested at all. I think he dedicates.. mm, 10 min of his time per week to this and is cashing money for it. DONT choose him.
I really enjoyed his class, but it was definitely a lot of work and very time consuming. However, if you work hard and go to class you can get an A.
I think Mo is not an awful professor - I think he puts too much on his plate at once by teaching so many classes per semester. There is not so much time to ask questions after class as he pretty much has classes back-to-back. Very reading intensive. An A is possible but he makes you work for it.
He is the worst professor I have ever had. I took him for business law and he was not helpful whatsoever. This class wouldn't have been hard if there was a helpful teacher teaching it. I loved law before taking this class and he ruined it for me. If you must take this class take it online and in the semester. NOT SUMMER
Online class was not clear, hard to follow and does NOT respond to students, the links that were assigned for a lot of credit did not properly or were not even present. The content was very easy and learn smart was helpful, he was not. Don't recommend unless you NEED to.
Do Not Take Mo Hassan! He's an absolutely terrible teacher! Does not help you, will actually try to get you dropped from the course if he does not like you! I wish he was not employed at Cabrillo College! There are other teachers, but not another city college for miles! Hurts my degree :(
I found this class very interesting and informative. This class is important if you're going into business, and Mo is the only one to teach it at Cabrillo. Most of the assignments are straight forward, but he is very vague on what he wants. He will give you a lower grade for very minor errors, and tends to be a tough grader on writing assignments.
The last week of class we had our final project due and he wrote verbatim "this report must be 5-7 pages". There were two parts to the report so I wrote him ON THURSDAY if he wanted the entire report or each section to be 5-7 pages long. I did not hear from him until SATURDAY. It was due Sunday night... he meant each part of the report...
His online class was time consuming but not difficult. It all depends on how much effort you put in.
Mo is probably the worst teacher I have had at Cabrillo. Explains things poorly, can't answer questions about the subject or give examples that make sense. He gives out tons of assignments and in-class work (3-4 points toward the 650 total in the class). Gives vague prompts, but a harsh grader unless you can figure out EXACTLY what he wants to see.
Took Business Law in person, was basically an online class with the amount of help he gave us in understanding the content. Be ready to read, and reread in order to learn, because you sure won't from his lectures. He expects you to know the chapter all the way through coming into class, he will go over some topics, then have a quiz on minor ones.
The class isn't organized very well, the teacher isn't there to really help you , because of online but that shouldn't be a problem. The class I thought was going to teach me how to mannage my money, but it didn't. I asked questions and didn't recieve any difinitive answers.
So I took the summer session and I liked it because it was pretty straightforward. What I did not like is that Mo clearly stated on the syllabus that there is an optional lecture for bonus points. Turns out that if you do not do this bonus chapter it actually hurts your grade. Not doing the the bonus chapter droped my grade from an A to a B.
Honestly I was really worried reading all the reviews for Prof Hassan before taking this class, but I really enjoyed my time under Hassan, Granted the course was online He got back to me very fast for any questions I had and was clear about what needed to be done. Lots of EC chances.
How can Mr. Hassan be the head of the accounting dept.? He is not organized and expect students to comply to all last minute changes made to the syllabus, then again there's no understanding from him. No wonder his classes ended up with less than 6 students by the end of semester.
It is unfortunately that we do not have no more options of instructors to take business classes from. Only Mo Hassan is instructing them.
He is nice. The quizzes are tricky. Ya gotta do good on first 5 quizzes so your grade doesn't go down. And honestly the final is cumulative. DO NOT try to memorize everything just write down definitions with page # to help ya out. Also, a Discussion board. You get full points if u put effort. He notices that. Don't worry too much on it.
Mo was one of the more challenging instructors I've had at Cabrillo, but I find myself wishing there were more classes I could take from him. I definitely got thrown by a few "F's" on assignments, so stay on top of his specific instructions. With that caveat, I learned A TON. If his office hours weren't online, I'd still be dropping in to say hi.
He was the worst Professor ever at Cabrillo. His lecture does not show enthusiasm. I did not feel he was there to help students. No wonder there were 10 people dropped his class. He makes us go to the court and hear actual cases. I needed to skip my other class to go back to court. You need to present about two cases at the end of semester.
I took his online format. There is not wiggle room for anything. no makeups, no time extensions, due dates are set in stone. This made it especially hard for me when my timer kept ticking for my final, even though I was not logged in. Luckily I had a high enough grade in the class to where I still passed, but It hurt my grade tremendously
Mo Mahassan was a horrible teacher at Cabrillo. The first thing he told us "If you dont respect me I wont respect you" and it seems like that wasn't true. He had no respect for anyone in the class even if they were polite. I would understand if he was disrespectful to bad students, but asking to go to the bathroom is not a reason to get yelled at..
Mr. Mahassan was a nightmare of a teacher. He couldn't answer simple questions, and would get flustered at some as well. He seemed to feel as though questions being asked were attacks on his knowledge, rather than actual thoughts. Mo Mahassan? NO Mahassan!
The hardest class I have ever taken, but I liked Mo and he was an interesting person.
Have to do the work and submit on time. No late submissions on work no exceptions!! Zoom meetings were not manditory class voted no zoom meetings at all. 6 videos, 1 paper, the McgrawHill connect, and exams are big points!! Miss one and you drop a letter grade and a half. Hard to pick your grade back up all exams & tests are timed 2 chances only
Honestly, he is by far the most awful business instructor at Cabrillo College. He is extremely bossy and demanding when it comes to submitting articles and article responses which is found in the "discussion" section in the online class set-up. He gives so many directions to the papers he requires his students to write which make them a lot harder.
Extra Credit was the only reason I was able to get a C. Mo is HORRIBLE!! I took BUS LAW in the summer. 4 chapters per week. 5 things to do for each chapter. Absolutely was too much work for a 6-week summer class. No communication AT ALL!! No Manners. NO! NO! NO!
Only learning tool is mcgraw hill connect there is no lecture. He is similar to john yost the other business professor who teaches other courses. Not much else to say since hes the only professor choice for some required business courses. Honestly cabrillo should hire professors who actually lecture not just assign online textbook and quiz.
The harshest/most unsupportive professor I've ever had at Cabrillo. I was dropped from the class for missing Intro discussion (not a required assignment/mentioned on syllabus), so it can be easily missed. If you sign up for this class online, I highly recommend looking at the discussion page. They won't be listed as part of grade, but they do count
This class almost entirely consists of McGraw Hill assignments, besides two discussions. There are no resources or lectures, only the textbook. I found this class very difficult and the professor was not helpful in this sense. He accepts no late work. It was not the worst class I have ever taken, but be prepared to only rely on the textbook.
Was crammed with chapter readings and and news article summaries+discussions. 4 chapters a week with reading questions, interactive videos with questions, problem solving questions, then a quiz per chapter. Then he wants you to read a news article every week and post a summary of it as well as discuss or comment on other replies (minimum 8 times)
Everything is through the online textbook+portal: quizzes, homework, lectures, and the practice-runs. No-redo's, late work, or much of extra credit allowed. Get ready to read; the content is actually helpful, but it's all through the online textbook. You will have to spend $150 for the online book to access the coursework. Summer course is rushed.
I took Professor Hassan's Business Law Online Summer course and received an A. This class will require your full focus everyday for the 6 weeks that it is offered over the summer. He answered any and all questions I had for him in a timely fashion. He is very nice and wants to see you succeed as his student.
For all those who love quizlet and chegg this professor will be your best friend. Please do what you will with the information given thanks. Also dude below my comment is probably mo hassan giving himself a better score on rmp lmaoooo
terrible. get ready to pay the class fee and 150 on top of that for a textbook/course so he doesn't have to work/grade anything. puts his political views out in the open and expects that in return which is merely unprofessional in a college setting. Even if your mom dies you can't turn in something late. Harry Potter Snape in real life.
Professor Hasan used McGraw-Hill for everything. Lots of reading, word connects, videos, and big quizzes at the end of each module. There's plenty of work, but it's manageable. He grades strictly but fairly and always replies to emails quickly. This is in reference to online classes only.
This professor doesn't teach. He uses the online textbook as the lecture and homework assignments. Details for assignments are different bw the syllabus, announcements, and assignment directions themselves. He didn't even bother to change the name of the school and semester dates on the syllabus. Expects a lot of us but doesn't return the favor
this class has watzon PD all over it. if you don't see the same political views as them, they start to F1g you off. This school needs to fix the issue in this town... looks like cops are getting away with something here... I will continue to apply myself to law school. I don't know what this lame officer duty work is about..
Doesn't accept any late work even though it's all done through McGraw Hill- he literally doesn't have to grade anything but still maintains that strict policy. The class is all through that textbook, but it's just too dense to be packed into six weeks. Do the work and you'll get an A, but it is a lot of work weekly because of the six week period.
