he is willing inside and outside of class to walk you through problems; he is extremely helpful in explaining material; has excellent knowledge of mathematics and how to present it so that it almost becomes easy to anyone.
This guy has no sense of proportion. He assigns 70 or more problems to be due between a tuesday and thursday class. He does not seem to like students coming by the office, saying instead that he will answer the questions in class when you show up.
Ben is very helpful, he has given me hope that no other math teacher has given me.
Moez is a wonderful professor. I wish that he had taught me algebra in high school. He is very thorough and answers questions very precisely. I would recommend his class to anyone struggling in any math class.

Moez is a good instructor. He gets behind in lectures (he spends much time in review at the beginning of some classes), but he catches up. Moez likes giving multiple ways to work problems. He is also available outside of class to clarify difficulties.
This was one of the worst math experienes ever. He was rude, and unwilling to answer questions. His work load was unbelivable, 60 homework questions, along witha lab, a pop quiz and a test two days later.
great proff, easy to pass if you do the work, assigns VERY LITTLE homework (he changed this recently)
He was a very helpful teacher.
Don't take the computer style class...ugh.
This guy is the rudest teacher I have ever had. He doesn’t help you, he assigns an incredible amount of homework on top of "random pop quizzes" all of which you can spend hours on and still get an F because he doesn’t know how to grade. Don’t take him for 201...
Moez is ok. I don't agree with the amount of hw mandated or his grading system. He'll give 1/2 credit for an unfinished problem, but then take 1/2 credit off for simply not labeling each and every pt on a graph when it was correct. Teaches material well.
I had him for the MAT 201. He is the best math teacher. He cares for students. If you want to learn calculus I would take the class with him. Yes, a lot of homework, but how can you learn math without homework?
He is the best teacher I have ever had. I took him for math 101 and got my first A ever in a math class then I took him again for math 116. He teaches the material extremely well so you actually understand. He is very helpful also.
Definately recommend this teacher. Very thorough and explains and shows every little step so that you wont get lost. Assigns 5 or 6 small problems of hw a day and has one pop quiz every 3 weeks. Very great teacher and has a good sense of humor. He can make you understand rocket science if he wanted to.
THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER!
If he can't teach you algebra, no one can. By far one of the best professors I have had at Sinclair. This is my third class with Moez and I don't think I would have had the same level of success with anyone else.
Moez did an incredible job at translating the material and worked his butt off preparing practice exams for us, grading promptly, and staying accessible. Terrific prof.
Moez is the best professor ever. He does a really good job teaching math! He is really easy to get along with too!
Mr Moez seems to want to help but doesn't really make himself available. He speaks to students one way and the other faculty another. Telling faculty that he doesn't have a problem with a students situation but then tells the student conflicting message. While in his precents I felt very be little by him. avoid this professor
Ben Azzouz does not know how to grade homework and is very very strict. He marked me absent for falling asleep and gave me a zero on my homework. But he knows his stuff. Will explain good!
Moez is a very good prfoessor for many reasons. He will answer your questions fully. He prepares you for test(which are very easy). The only negative thing i can say about moez is that he is very strict with how you do your homework i mean he wount accept it if its not done his way to a T. If you have a chance to take him, do so.
Great teacher, incredibly helpful! I wish I could have him for every class I take.
I took his class online. He was very helpful. He made sure you were prepared for the test by providing you with a practice test that is very similar to the actual test. Nice guy, good teacher.
Professor Ben-Azzouz is very helpful. He has office hours everyday, with varying times to accomodate different schedules. I work full time and am taking 15 credit hours, and while the class was hard, I could never say it's because he does not help me. I would definately suggest taking a course that he conducts.
This class is very hard...he even tells you this at the beginning of the quarter. Homework is reasonable, tests are hard. Study and do the homework and you will pass. Very helpful and has lots of times for you to come to his office for help.
the class was hard, but he gave you plenty of examples and obviously knew what he was talking about. i didn't particularly like him, but i didn't hate him either. Homework is mandatory and graded. tests are pretty hard.
People who complain about Moez are lazy, that's why he doesn't give them the time of day. You have to care for him to care. I missed quite a few days and even missed the final exam (I lucked out, he gave me a 0 on the exam instead of auto-fail), and I STILL passed with a C. BUT, I GAVE A DAMN ABOUT THE MATERIAL, that's why I passed....BOTTOM LINE.
Moez is the best math teacher I've ever had. He is helpful, cares about his students, and is available when you need him. He is a gentleman and will do anything he can to help you through the course if you are willing to work. I absolutly loved his class and highly recommend him. I was in love with him by the end of class.=)
i love this teacher. he is super smart and explains things well and easy on the eyes. i too was inlove with him by the end of class. he is awsome. i would definately recomend him to anyone.
I took this class online. He was by far the best online prof ever, especially for a math class! He is very helpful, checks the forum ALL THE TIME for questions, and explains things as clearly as possible. Very patient and fair and really cares about the students. Math is hard to take online, but if you have to, he's your guy.
He tries to make himself seem helpful, but when you actually need him he is never around. And Woe to anyone who has a family emergency or gets sick. He is completely non understanding. I have put about 30 hrs a week into this course, tried multiple times to get in touch with him..and still he is no help! Even today he missed office hours agian!
too much home work
He gave a ton of homework for the Calc 2 class. He will answer questions after class. If you are not prepared for exams, you are screwed. Tough teacher but nice guy.
I was really worried to take MAT 116 since I hadn't taken a math class in almost a year. I don't like math and typically have a hard time understanding the concepts, but I got a better grade in MAT 116 than I did in MAT 102. Moez made it very understandable. I definitely recommend taking Moez! He was really helpful!
Porfessor Moez is a wonderful teacher. He knows all his students by their first names and tries to make sure all the students understand during his lectures. He gives a GENEROUS amount of extra credit. He always responded by the end of the day to my emails. If you put forth the effort and work hard in this class, it will pay off. He's great!
Not a good teacher
I took him online he was great, quick to respond to emails, great examples provided, even gives recorded lectures. If you are having problems with this class go to the math lab, they have lectures on the computers that are helpful. He is great for online classes tho.
Extremely thorough and helpful. A genuin love for mathematics. Very knowledgeable on subject.
Prof Ben-Azzouz is wonderful. As a non-math person he makes it a lot more applicable and understandable. I'll take his classes anytime. He also posts all sorts of helps and guides online. He actually cares!
I took Math 116 online and it was a lot more difficult then other math classes I've taken online. Instead of trying to help you through a problem, he would just say "I have attached a solution to the problem" so instead of really learning it, all I did was copy the work. The book was not much help either. I would not recomment his online class
Very good professor! He takes the extra time to ensure everyone understands material before proceeding forward. He is also able to not only teach the material but give examples on how topics relate to real world.
Moez will help you if you ask, but you have to keep up with the material or it is your own fault for not getting a good grade.
Moez is a great teacher. I almost got a C in 102 and I have a very high B, almost an A in his class. If you do the homework and do the previous practice exams he gives (which are just like his test that he will give you) then you will do fine. I hate math, but I am REALLY glad I took him. I just wish he was teaching Stats too!
Moez is an amazing math professor. By far my favorite at sinclair. He really tries to help you if you don't understand. And he is sexy sexy sexy!
Math 116 is a tough course, however, Moez made it much easier. His letures are good and he makes sure everyone understands. He also has a slight sense of humor which added a little fun to the class (dorky teacher humor but fun!). Make sure you go to class! Great Teacher, highly recommended.
He explains the subject well. however he is a rude person. He is not understanding and very intolerant to being late or missing class. He needs everyone to conform to his very high standards. He once told a student in my class she was being an interruption for asking questions! He's emotional,he gets very upset when people don't meet his standards!
Always willing to help a student, gave plenty of extra credit opportunities, tests where not insane and reflected the book work.
teaches pretty clear. got some stupid rules about late/leaving early bath/bathroom.. good idea to stay on his good side, seems like the type of teacher that would shaft you
Explains everything from the text book. gives plenty of time for questions.
Very good teacher if you're interested in learning, if you're looking to just get by take someone else. But I think his accent alone is worth taking the class for. My friend wasn't doing so well but was really trying and he was very encouraging; not at all harsh. The people who just goofed off, on them he was harsh.
Moez is the man. He is a great teacher. Take him for 116!
Very good teacher, helpful, approachable and clear. If you have to take MAT 116, take it from Moez Ben Azzouz.
He is a very good teacher, clear, helpful and approachable. If you have to take Mat 116 take it for Moez Ben Azzouz.
Moez not only knows the material very well, but he also knows how to present it clearly and understandably for everyone. I have recommended him to everyone I know who is taking a Math course at Sinclair. He shows great interests in his students' success. Moez has a very clear voice that can keep you interested and alert. Take him, trust me.
Moez is an excellent teacher. He was always available for questions and he was very through with his answers. I felt like he was truely vested in our success. He made the class very easy to follow, if you didn't do well, it was because you were not prepared.
Great Teacher!! Gives good lectures in class and online lectures that are very helpful!! is willing to meet outside of class. responsive to e-mails. Gives practice exams that help study for exam.
Take this professor!! He is by far the greatest math professor Sinclair offers. He is extremely clear on difficult material, and he is so intelligent. Ladies, he's also really handsome! Keeps your attention, explains everything well, fair grader, highly recommended.
Killer class, but teaches it well. Explains theory & application. Hmwk (20% of grade) is webassign, turning in problems, & pop quizzes. Tells you what will be on tests (goal sheet/practice exam). Exams are tough. Fair grader, gives partial credit. Does NOT drop lowest test grade (all worth 15%). Available for help. Grades tests/hmwk by next class.
No Professor will ever compare to this man in Math 116. He explains everthing clearly and gives perfect examples of what he wants you to know. This class is not easy. It takes work and Moez gives Livescribes online that go over concepts that were discussed in class. I wish I had him for every Math class that I have to take. Simply the best!
Very good teacher. Will work with anyone needing more instruction.
Professor Ben-Azzouz is extremely helpful and gives amazing lectures notes that are useful. I had him for Calc2 and when he started referencing items from it I could go back through my notes. Highly recommend him, do the homework, show up to class, take notes and do the practice exams. You'll pass without a problem. Good Luck!!!
Professor Ben-Azzouz is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. He is one of the teachers that gives plenty of examples, while explaining (in depth) the concepts behind them.
Math is not my subject, yet Moez strives to inspire interest and understanding in every class lecture. I love the emphasis on real-life applications. He is very clear in what he expects, and gives ample notice for testsquizzes. He communicates very well, and responds quickly to questions. Oh, and he's extremely good looking.
One of the best math teachers I've ever had. Ben takes his job seriously and keeps a positive climate in the classroom. His approach to teaching focuses on knowledge of theories rather than memory. Even though I was familiar with most of the topics already having taken Calculus before, Ben still managed to teach better way to do things.
Very good Professor. I took calc 3 with him and passed but he does have difficult exams but the material is hard so what do you expect. Otherwise a great teacher and I would take his class again.
Very helpful and very clear with instructions for what is due when. Easy to learn the material thats is taught.
Prof Moez Ben-Azzouz gives great instructions and straight to the point and explains with real life scenario or situations. Never wastes your time talking irrelevant things and very professional. Best professor that I ever had.
By far the best teacher for Calculus and no Webassign!!!
Awesome Lectures!!! Would take forever and ever again.
No webassign, drops the lowest quiz and couple of homework at the end of the course. Gives chance to earn some extra credits as well. Can not go wrong with him, I will take him again anytime.
very rude
Excellent professor. Answers questions when you have them, always present at his outlined office hours.
I took Moez for 2270 and made sure to take him the following semester for 2280. He is one of the best professors I've ever had. His lessons are thoroughly prepared, his expectations are clear, he is a fair grader, and he's a truly caring person. If you're willing to work, his classes are truly rewarding.
Moez is an awesome teacher. His lectures are very thorough and if not, just ask him to explain and he will do so. He is a fair grader, looking for opportunities to give partial credit. The class isn't easy by far, but he helps make it easier. One of the smartest people I know. Ask him any math question and he will answer it. Great asset!!
Moez is awesome. I never found myself drifting off or losing interest in his lectures. He explains things very clearly and was consistent with his office hours. Offered extra credit that wasn't impossible to achieve.
Doesn't explain things well, then assigns 30 problem assignments online. To be able to keep up in class you have to use a calculator then doesn't let you use a calculator in class or on the tests.
Oh wow, I've never had an instructor that breaks stuff down into bite sized chunks as well as he does, he can get on a tangent or two and get distracted but that's because he's super passionate about the material. I'm retaking calc 2 and he's making it cake, I'm finishing my math career with him.
Does well with explaining the material, and likes to be specific in the history behind the theorems and ideas.
BEST PROFESSOR AT SINCLAIR
Moez is a great professor. He's very professional, organized and caring. He really cares about his students and emphasizes important subjects. That being said, his class will not be an easy A, you really have to work for your grade. He will help as much as he can and wants you to get a good grade. Tells you exactly what'll be on the final.
What positive thing cant I say about Ben Azzouz. I took him for MAT1470 and it was cake. If I have the chance in the future I would enjoy taking his class again. Just show up everyday try to pay attention and you wont have any issues. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask or wait until after class to ask a question 10/10 would take again
Moez, hands down, has been the best professor that I have had so far at Sinclair. He is able to teach you the most abstract and difficult lessons by using examples and concepts that you can understand. He grades extremely fair. I would highly recommend Moez. Highly intelligent and has the gift of being an excellent educator.
Great teacher!! had him for calc 2 and calc 3. gonna take him for diff EQ. Make sure you go to class or else you'll be lost. Gives a brief review at the beginning of each class in case you miss ( and I mean brief). Heavy on the homework but he gives you 2-3 class days to do it. Would love to take him again. Amazing teacher.
Calc III was harder for me than Calc II, but Moez did a great job. It's clear that he is dedicated to student success; I only wish I had paid more attention in class. If you study for the exams with the practice problems and the book (which is awesome that he gives them to you!!) you should be fine.
Moez was a great teacher, although his classes are very boring. I would take him again because he is willing to go the extra mile for students but I did not have the desire to show up due to how boring class was. Study the old test he gives and youll be fine!
SELF TEACHING COURSE! I HAD TO WATCH TONS OF YOUTUBE AND KHAN ACADEMY TO KNOW WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT! HE GOES DEEP IN THINGS THAT DON'T EVEN MATTER !!
Professor Moez was a good teacher you just have to pay attention and make sure you ask questions if you don't understand it. His exams are very difficult only if you study. Also he's very much all about theories I wouldn't take again personally.
Professor Moez is by far the best teacher I've had. He is great at explaining complex topics in simple terms. He cares about his students and is passionate about teaching them a tough subject like mathematics. He is well-organized and professional in his conduct. He even teaches us about the history of mathematics. Simply the best!
He is a very solid professor, he is more than willing to bump up your grade if you show some effort in his class. His exams are not easy but not hard. His class is very note heavy but it is easy to follow and not too hard to understand. I would take again.
I dont know why people gives him 4.4 rating, just let me make the honest clear rating. He dont teach Calc3 he just spend half of each class talking about the history of the formulas. He dont show any examples he just talk about the formulas. Never listen to the student comments or questions. Have very lengthy tests like taking a PE exams.
Absolutely awful , if you don't attend class, you lose participation points. You practically have to teach yourself everything. Don't pay thousands of dollars to teach yourself and then take exams that include basically nothing you learn in class.
This class is definitely in the top five of my worst college class experiences. To pass you have to teach yourself/ do supplement studying because what is taught in class never matches the exams.
Absolutely awful professor. Does not teach any of the concepts at all and barely goes over examples or questions. On the quizzes and tests, there are questions that we have never even heard of or concepts that have never even been slightly mentioned. The class is awful and as a Math Major, I have not learned a single thing, WE ALL QUIT TODAY
The workload is insane. Long homework every week. crazy grade boundaries, Hard exams with no feedback on the grading and crazy grade % division. Very very slow grading, still waiting results on homework a month old. As for her teaching skills, lots to be desired. Too many, too often mathematical errors ON THE SLIDES presented. AVOID
Avoid at all costs if you can. Gave us so many assignments yet was the slowest grader in the world. I had no idea what was going on the entire semester TBH. He scrammed so many concepts in yet I felt like I didn't understand a single one completely. TERRIBLE PROFESSOR OVERALL
He seems to be a nice person and tries to help her students. Its just a shame that for our Calc III class he tries to get us to do more teaching than himself. I often also feel unprepared to do the homework, and he doesn't offer much guidance.
Rushes concepts in a way that no student that isn't a genius would understand on the first try. Homework is insane and 9/10 times way more difficult than anything in the lecture.
Worst prof ever. basically learned from past experience in calc and the pre-class modules. he doesn't even teach the concepts at all, any student could go up there and teach the lecture more efficiently. he was my only option too so if you have no choice, make sure you study and find resources to teach yourself independently or you won't pass.
Soul crusher. GPA ruiner. Thanks, Ben. Tons of homework every week, but he never actually teaches us how to do the problems. he also grades extremely harshly on the homework so don't expect to get any reward for the 3+ hours of homework you have to do. hes TAs, or the one I had, made no sense and didn't REVIEW any of the material. Do not take.
It's clear in lecture that she hates teaching this class because it's non-math students. Yet that doesn't give him a pass considering our cost per credit. He is not very good in lecture and if you meet with him afterwards you're greeted as a waste of his time and space. He doesn't care about his students and the TA was a better professor.
Take any other professor... I stopped going to class because his lectures were so confusing that they were actively hurting my learning. I don't doubt that he's a smart guy, but he's a bad prof. The class average on the final was a 57%, and he didn't curve it at all.... If you want to succeed (or even learn) please don't take his class.
I have the highest grade in his class 59%, I never get a bad grade in my life and now he makes my dream crushed and my GPA smashed.
The nightmare it self, you have to self teach your self, never expect him you tech you something. memorize everything becouse everything will be on the test, imagine doing 26 qustions in 2 hours only and each qustion needs at least 10 min to finsh.
A mean person! be prepared to self-study and memorize the whole book "Whole"
He expect you to self teach without any effort from him, any question will makes him angry and upset, he keeps wasting time during the lecture and then boom he hits us with a supplemental extra lecture that we supposed to take it during the class time. he crash my GPA.
If you want to learn math and not get you GPA killed dont take him. He is trash
There is no terrible words that I can describe him with, he have all the nagative things that make you fail his class not matter what.
He is so bad that I cant find a word to describe him, he makes it so hard to learn the materials, he keeps talking about the history of the formulas inside if provideing examples, he never answer any questions. I dont respect him as a person and professor after this semester.
Most and worst prof I ever saw in my life. He waste so much time doing stupid useless stuff and then he make us watch a supplement videos after every class, which is a really waste of time. Very harsh grader, he never give a 0.001 point even if you show so much effort.
He will talk about literally anything that he can think of before covering the class material. Class involves him putting up vocab terms on the board while he talks about whatever irrelevant non-sense come to his mind. And nothing from our subject.
Tried his best to help his students to understand the problems. Testes are very hard but as long as you do the old exams he posted and ask questions, you will be good. (I think whoever spammed him for 1 point is was very piss lol)
He is terrible, never explain anything, never provide examples or feed back. Never answer any question during or after the lecture. Dont take him he is the worst
Very bad, don't take him.
He is very hard grader, very lengthy exams thats impossible to finish on time, he brings everything we learnd in lecture to the exams. If you ask a question he will get mad at you to the end of the semester. And then he will makes you fail. Terrible never take him.
This professor is the best calculus teacher I've had. Not sure about the negative comments, seem to be written by the same student who probably failed an is looking for someone to blame. I loved taking this professor and his passion for calculus and wish I could take him for all my classes.
This professor was great at explaining tough calculus topics in simpler ways. He also provides plenty of resources to help prepare for exams. Provides good feedback on homework and exams. Best calculus teacher I've had. All the negative comments below look to be from the same disgruntled student.
This was a fun course. It prepares you for ML and AI by teaching you the math essentials in linear algebra, calc, and probability. It also includes practical python labs using Jupyter. The instructor was amazing and knew his stuff. Loved it.
Excellent professor. Knows the subject matter and how to teach it well. Learned a lot and loved the course. Be prepared to work though.
I took him one summer and he was the worst professor I have ever taken. I really struggled. He is incredibly scattered brained. He often would go off topic and I had to teach myself from the book. He would get annoyed at students for not understanding concepts. Many students complain(ed) about him. Out of 2 years of classes, his was the WORST.
He can not talk about one thing for more than 2 minutes. he will never finish what he is talking about. i learned more from a 2 minute youtube video than he could teach me in a two hour lecture. do not ever take him
This professor is awesome. Best calc teacher i've had! Be aware there is a student who was in my class, very rude. He did not do well in the class and started spamming this professor on RMP. What a stupid thing to do, I told the professor about this, the school will be taking actions against this loser. He ruined the professor's rating on purpose.
Professor Ben Azzouz was fantastic. He even reviews stuff from calc I and calc II. Please be aware that an international student who couldn't even speak English properly and hated the professor is trying to smear him by posting multiple negative comments here. Do not believe it, try Professor Ben Azzouz for yourself and you won't regret it.
Brilliant teacher! The best calculus teacher I've had. Don't believe the negative comments, they seem to be left by the same vindictive person. Try him for yourself, you won't regret it.
Discharge the 2 down comments. This professor dose not teaches the subject, tests are 100% different from the subject, tons of homework, very lengthy exams approximately 14 questions in 1:50 h which is impossible to finish, never lets anyone ask a question and he get mad and discussed, time waster and then he make us watch a supplementary videos.
Great course and a fantastic teacher. He goes the extra mile to discuss how the math is used in various areas of engineering. I learned a lot from him. Wish I could take him for all my courses.
This course was unique and awesome. I learned all the math I needed to do machine learning and artificial intelligence. The Python labs were also great. The teacher knew his stuff.
Calculus III is a tough course, but prof. Ben Azouz is the best. I don't think I could have done it without him. He cares about students and is very accessible outside of class to help you one-on-one if you need it.
This course is demanding and is not easy by the nature of the material, but Prof. Azzouz makes it easier. He teaches in a way that makes every concept clear and prompts students for questions continuously to make sure everything is clear before moving on. Loves what he teaches and cares about his students. Great teacher.
This teacher is great and the course is very interesting. He doesn't only explain the math but tells you how it is applied in engineering. The MATLAB labs are great too. Would definitely take again.
The best math teacher I've ever had! I can't understand any negative comments about him. They must come from a bitter student who just disliked him. He is great! I've had him for several courses, he knows his stuff and how to teach it. I am sure my classmates agree with me. Even teaching virtually, his setup was the best of any other teacher.
Great teacher for a tough course. You'll learn. Don't be shy about asking for help if you need it, he is very accessible outside of class and wants his students to succeed.
Excellent teacher! Best calc teacher I've had.
Great teacher for a very interesting new course. Loved it.
Great teacher, cares about his students and knows the material inside out.
This guy is amazing. Best math teacher I've had. You learn so much from him even about how calculus is applied in other areas. Simply awesome!
Tough course, but great teacher. Be sure to take notes, his lectures do not leave any stone unturned. Provides a lot of resources online to prepare for exams.
I didn't get my final grade yet. This professor is very bad, he gives us so much homework. And his tests are so hard and non of the questions are from what he teaches us. He actually doesn't even teach us anything. waste of time.
Best math teacher i've had. Try him for yourself. Don't believe the loser who is spamming him on this site.
Great teacher. Passionate about teaching and math and it shows and cares about his students. If you want to learn, take him. You won't regret it.
This professor is excellent and devoted to his students. I highly recommend him.
This professor makes hard concepts easier to understand. Best math teacher I've had.
A great teacher!!!!!!!
A great teacher, I recommend this course !!!
I took this professor and it was the best experience i've had at this school, i highly recommend him.
This is the best math professor at Sinclair. Be aware somebody is writing many negative comments about him here trying to smear his reputation. The professor told me that Sinclair police is aware of the culprit, who thinks he's anonymous, and are taking measures to prosecute him. Take this professor, you won't regret it.
The best math teacher I've ever had!
The best math teacher
Great teacher !!!@
Best math teacher ever. I highly recommend him
I took his class and it was a great experience
Great teacher !
Professor Ben Azzouz is an Amazing instructor as well a humain being. His course is so attractive and easy to understand. He is available for help even after classes. I highly recommend his course.
Professor Ben Azzouz thank you very much for the course. Thank you for you kindness and guidance. I truly appreciate how patient and helpful you are with all the students.
Great teacher,
A good teacher
I recommend this course !!!
very interesting course
Excellent new course. Teaches math necessary to go into ML and AI. Also includes python projects. Great teacher, the best i've had.
Great instructor for a busy course. The MATLAB projects were also good. Try this instructor, you won't regret it.
Calc3 is tough, but this instructor is the best. He will make sure you learn and understand the material.
This course is demanding but the instructor is perfect. Knows his stuff and teaches it well.
This is a unique new course. Teaches math for ML/AI. This instructor is amazing. Knows his stuff and cares about his students.
This professor is simply the best!
Best calc teacher i've had.
Great course and fantastic instructor.
Excellent professor. Best calc teach i've had. You'll definitely learn from him.
I've had him for two courses. Great professor! He even provides guidance on career options and support for students after they leave. This course is a great mix of topics from linear algebra and differential equations along with the MATLAB group projects.
Gives his students all the tools needed to succeed. He clearly cares about his students and encouraged us to ask questions. He has his notes and some of his exams from previous years on eLearn and they helped me get an A on all the exams. Absolutely would recommend
Worst thing ever, he spend 3 hours talking about useless stuff and then he give us an old recorded lecture from yt to watch. His tests have nothing to do with what we learn. Very rude and restricted person. He gets very angry if you ask a question. If you are ok with D or F good luck with that.
I just dropped his class today, very rude professor.
Professor Ben-Azzouz is the best teacher I've had. He is full of passion and kindness, gives many resources, and makes a point of showing how the subject matter is beautiful and fascinating. It's clear he has spent much time preparing study resources. Your experience may depend on how respectful you are- he appreciates attentiveness and effort.
This professor if very tough. Do not recommend if you struggle with math. There are so many lectures to watch to be able to get to the assignment. The videos did not do a good job at explaining the math.
Please do not believe the negative comments, try him out, you won't regret it. Great lectures, cares about his students, fair exams and grading. Explains calculus better than anybody else I've had. Students take him for calculus 2 and 3 because he is the best.
This guy is amazing, I wish I had him for the entire calculus sequence. Amazing knowledge, clear explanations, and amazing lectures. No doubt the best around. There is clearly somebody scamming here, the negative comments couldn't be further from the truth.
Best calculus teacher. Cares about his students, loves teaching math and conveying to his students how it is applied. Fantastic especially for students going into engineering and sciences. Very fair grader, prepares you well for the exams.
This professor is awesome and has created a fantastic unique course that teaches the mathematical foundation for machine learning and artificial intelligence. Highly recommended. Fantastic at explaining linear algebra, calculus, and probability concepts. Knows coding and even demonstrated to us how chatGPT was built! Amazing course and instructor.
This professor is amazing. Take him, you won't regret it! Don't believe the loser trying to spam him on this site. Ask students who actually sat in his class and you'll find out how amazing he is. He even helps his students get jobs. Best teacher at Sinclair.
Best math teacher I've had. Loves what he teaches and go the extra mile to help his students understand and master the material. Provides so many resources to help students succeed and his notes will get me through my entire engineering degree. Fantastic teacher.
Great new course and an amazing teacher. He knows his stuff and loves teaching it. Fantastic preparation for anybody going into ML/AI and/or pursuing the Aviation Tech. certificate in autonomous systems. The course is busy, but very rewarding.
Prof Ben Azzouz is amazing. Knows the material inside out and more importantly knows how to teach it. Best math teacher I've had. With I took him for my entire calc sequence. He even reviewed things from calc II and calc I for students who needed it. Best way to take calculus is in-person with this guy.
This guy is the best calculus teacher I've had. I wish I had him for Calc I and Calc III. Explains concepts well and is very passionate about the subject and helping students learn.
While the exams are difficult, they still feel fair. They seem to be tailored to challenging the student's understanding of the material. He encourages asking questions to check for understanding and is willing to wait to move on until everyone understands. He gives many example problems during the lectures that help with the homework.
Professor Ben-Azzouz is passionate and kind. He provides great resources like past exams and his own notes on eLearn. For study prep, ChatGPT and unstuck ai were super helpful alongside the textbook. Attend class and put in the effort for an A.
Terrible Professor. So condescending and expects so much. Do not take him he literally made me want to switch my major because I thought I was bad at math but I just took Calc 3 and passed with an A and I failed Calc 2 because of him
Worse teacher ever! He does not connect with his students, he talks for hours about his new technology he tried out, we never finish the lecture notes, it is a really fast paste course, he does not have officer hours, he gets smart and defensive with students who ask questions, and I don't feel comfortable going to him for help. WORSE PROFESSOR!!!
I dropped his class because I couldn't learn from someone that spent the first 10 minutes telling us if we were not already masters of the material, to drop from Precalc and go back to Algebra. He speeds through lectures and his army of TAs are a joke. He's not here to teach or help you, he's here to breeze over concepts and collect a check.
Professor Azzouz is the best math teacher I've ever had, hands down. The negative reviews seem like they weren't expecting calculus to be tough. He's incredibly gifted at teaching and makes advanced concepts much easier to grasp. He's also a very lenient grader. He wants to see that you understand things conceptually and otherwise isn't picky.
Great Professor, does in class exercises and more explanations even in his office.
Moez is passionate about math and good at teaching it. Write down everything he writes down and you'll be set to do the homework. Definitely use the past exams he has posted to study. One extra credit "project" (he goes step by step on how to do it) and usually one EC question on each exam. Him and Kerns are best options for Calc III
His class is very well structured and clearly defines everything in the syllabus, and he explains everything thoroughly. Like others have said, copy what he writes down and you'll end up with extremely useful notes. If you have Moez as an option, take it!
One of the best professors I've had. Professor Moez is an amazing instructor. He is always open to questions and will explain things thoroughly without judgment.
Moez's lectures were honestly some of the most entertaining parts of my fall semester. You can tell he really loves math. He walks through example problems, breaks down every unit, and the homework isn't bad at all. Overall he's just a great guy. I'd definitely take his class if you want to get better at math or if you struggle with it.
