Best math instructor I've ever had. Took 210 and 212 with him. No calculator necessary at that level. Taking 114 in fall. Highly recommend. Views everyone as one of his kids. Don't text in class. :o)
A great teacher, very helpful, and understands the students difficulty level.
he teaches by a step-by-step process, and lets his students see their mistakes, instead of saying its wrong. The way he teaches can make one LEARN and EARN that A or passing grade.BUT don?t push his buttons. He does show and know the material covered. Very loose and Good sense of humor. But students must not be shy to learn.
Mr. Mo is a fantastic teacher. He teaches straight from examples in the book which makes it easy to go back and review. His tests are on the easier side where if you understand the concepts, you will have no trouble passing. Test questions tend to come straight from the optional homework. Overall, I have been very pleased. Great job Mr. Mo!
Good teacher. No BS kind of guy is there to do his job. Teaches through checkpoints and examples in book, if you can't learn that way not the teacher for you. 3 tests and 6 quizzes drops the lowest quiz. If you do hw it is hard not to get lower than a B because test and quizzes come from homework problems and checkpoints. Final is cumulative.
For a Math instructor, I think he is outstanding. He teaches step by step process and ensures that the students understand the concept well. He really knows how to teach with clarity. His tests are not that hard, they are pretty much identical with the examples from the textbook that he has taught in class. Take him! You'll make the right choice.
Mr. Mo is a great math teacher! He teaches the same way the text book does, so if it doesnt make sense you can go back and re-teach yourself. He's very helpful and WANTS you to do well. His quizzes and tests are relatively easy as long as you do the homework and study. Only down side is he sometimes teaches at a fast pace. Regardless, great teacher
I had Mr. Mo for 210, 212, and 114. Repeat business speaks for itself. I just wish he was teaching Math 10 next quarter.
Mr. Mo is a great math teacher! He teaches the same way the text book does, so if it doesnt make sense you can go back and re-teach yourself. He's very helpful and WANTS you to do well. He is very happy and friendly.
Professor Rezvani is an excellent teacher. He focuses on teaching mathematical applications where it can actually be used in your future career or life. His lectures are clear and welcomes questions. Grading is very fair. Attendance is mandatory. Homework is not required but quizzes and midterms based on homework. Easy if you do the homework.
greaat teacher. has a little accent but really knows wha hes teaching. easy class if you do the homeworkassignments and follow what he says. goo teacher
Pretty much do your homework and you will get an easy "A". His test is base on your homework. If you don't do your homework you won't pass.
Easy to understand. Relates math to real life situations and doesn't make you do problems that you will probably never need to use outside of the class. Overall a good teacher.
I am a lazy student. This is the only reason why I got a C+ I definitely would have gotten an A with a little more effort. This is the best teacher at De Anza since I've been at De Anza and this is my 3rd year. You can definitely understand what he is saying even though he has an accent. Definitely recommend!
He ASSUMES that students know and remember EVERYTHING learned in previous math classes. Skips steps in showing how to solve problems. AVOID THIS TEACHER AT ALL COST!!
If you take this class, make sure to learn everything from the book. This teacher doesn't show up to his own office hours unless you e-mail him. He has never written a title for a section of notes. He's very very unorganized. When going over problems, he messes up half of the time. The only positives are he goes over hw prob & gives solut
This teacher isn't hard at all if you listen carefully and try to do the homework that he gave you. You'll get a good score if you do the homework. Also, by doing the homework, you'll get extra credits.
I recommend everyone to take him. Must do your homework and you will be fine with the test/quiz . He will collect your hw (optional) to give u extra credit for each test (5 points but very helpful). Nice and responsible . Take him !!!
Knowledgeable about the topics he teaches, however the class is kinda boring - he does warn you about this ahead of time. He also sometimes goes on long tangents - related to math but not essential to course. Overall a good professor.
He's a really nice teacher :) And like any other human being he makes mistakes. He is really humble about them and always fixes them (and asks to be corrected most of the time). He is always willing to help, but you have to take the initiative to ASK questions!!! HW isn't mandatory but gives you 5 extra points on you test :)
He's a good teacher. He will answer every questions, which are related to the lesson. In his class, u can use every methods to solve the problem. And 5 extra points for each test if u turn in the hw of that test to him. However,be prepared yourselves that there're not any handouts in his class, & his teaching is really fast so u'll be lost easily.
Take him and you will get an A. Trust me.
Good teacher
Mo is one of the best professors that I have ever had. He helped me to understand the material and he simply wants the student to succeed. I cannot stress enough what an invaluable professor her is. Take him your first chance!
If you need an easy yet informative class, go ahead and take a class with Mo. Sometimes his explanations can be a little confusing but you can figure out most of the stuff from the textbook. The test are fairly easy and he is kind enough to drop your lowest grade.
Hes a great teacher and he's really easy. He will stop the whole class and answer your questions until you understand the concept and he really just wants you to understand and succeed. Applies everything to real life and gives lots of chances for extra credit. Highly recommended
He is good teacher. His quizzes are based on the textbook. If you study the textbook, you can get good score on the quizzes and exams. Also you can get good grade.
I like the way he teaches. Some people say he is a bit confusing sometimes, but I don't agree at all. I think he does a fairly good job in explaining. But he does sometimes go over the concepts too fast~ Overall a good professor! and I would definitely take his class again if I got the chance!
Prof Mo is a very good teacher. He explains the math so that everyone who is there to learn can and will understand what is expected. His style of teaching makes the class enjoyable. He also assigns homework that is not required to be turned in, but he collects the assignments for extra credit. I rate Prof Mo as one of the better teachers here.
Very good teachrr. Ask and you will get the help you need
Mr Mo is a very good professor. He starts and ends his classes on time. He will answer any HW questions you have, and provides you with real world applications. Homework is optional and collected for extra credit on test and quizzes. I Highly recommend him!!
He's a very good teacher. The way he teach in his class is extremely easy to understand.
Mr Mo is a great teacher he makes sure you understand everything, homework is optional test are easy. If you have any questions he will answer them. Highly recommend him and usually you get out of class early.
Mo is a great teacher in that he wants nothing more than the success of his students. There are weekly quizzes, but homework is optional if you want a few extra credit points on test days. Mo is always willing to answer questions, and will interrupt his planned class to make sure you understand.
East or West MO is the best! He is the best math teacher there ever is and Im not even exaggerating. I really loved his crystal clear lectures, straight-forward quizzes and tests and most importantly his attitude toward the subject and the students.I really hope he teaches calculus in the near future. It was a pleasure being in his class :-)
He's awesome at teaching the subject and really cares about the students learning and doing well in the class!
HE IS THE BEST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD I GOT SOOOOOOOOOOOO EASY HELPFUL I WILL GET ALL MY MATH CLASS WITH HIM.
He is good. Take his class. His quizzes are easy. But because I really can't handle the chapter 6 and 7, I didn't do very well on the quiz and test about those two chapters. But his grading is not so hard. Trust me.
Definitely a good teacher that gives you a good chance to pass his class, just do the homework even though it's just extra credit and study a little too pass the test. Definitely recommend
He's a really good yea teacher. He also helps you out if you don't get the problems and goes through it with the whole class.
Class expectations very clear. Homework/attendance not mandatory. Test/quiz every week, based on homework. Great teacher! I recommend taking him for night classes!!
Such a great instructor. Clear and generous. He emphasizes on real world application.
as long as you do your homework and study for 10 minutes before tests and quizzes, that is an easy A. His instructions are very clear and he is such a nice guy.
Tough but understanding
Great teacher, dont be offended when he tells you when to wake up in the middle of class or yells at you for using your phone. He sets his classroom rules and sticks to them throughout the quarter. He might seem "stict" but in reality he's a really easy going guy, easy to understand and passionate about the subject. attendance & hard work pays off.
He's a good teacher, but just wished he checked homework more. It would actually make me do it. He should also have weekly quizzes which really would help prepare for the test
His expectations are straight forward and he's a great teacher. Although he says his tests aren't tricky or fancy,I disagree. There are some problems that I feel like we never covered or barely covered. Tests are all short answer, no multiple choice, gives partial credit, and extra credit, no calculator allowed. Recommendation varies by person
An intelligent, funny and nice person! The best professor in De Anza! I enjoyed every minute of his classes. He knows the material well and explain them in an esay way to understand. He also grades pretty fair. You will get a better grade than you expect if you make effort.
Great, easy teacher. He knows the material well and his lectures are very clear. He is very willing to help students understand the material and explain homework problems. Tests are very easy, straight from the book, no calculators required.
Very nice professor with a passion for teaching that comes through. He is very fair and reasonable. I highly recommend taking him.
A very good math teacher, better than the others at De Anza. He teaches well and will answer all of your questions. Attendance is optional, drops the lowest test, and he replaces the midterm with the final grade if you do better on the final, and he gives partial credit. He is very fair, straightforward and explains the concepts well.
Straight forward and direct; doesn't mess around but tells a few jokes here and there. Answers any questions during class. Goes a bit fast, but asks people if he needs to slow down if necessary. Fair grader. Empathetic to conditions of life, just talk to the guy if you have problems. Good teacher, recommend him if you are willing to work.
Mo is a good teacher, The only down side is he doesn't let you use calculators at all, ever!!!For the 1st half its ok, but the 2nd half the book uses the calculator in all of the homework problems, so you can't really practice for his tests. He gives it to straight, and tells you all of this on day one. No curve in his grading.
No calculators, you actually have to think for yourself. But Mo puts math into perspective so you feel like it's not all pointless. Doesn't make you memorize a bunch of stuff. One of the more stern instructors but still too nice in my opinion. I'd take him again if he was teaching Math 43! Take him if you have the chance!
Mo's a great teacher. He explained the materials well. He doesn't allow the use of calculator on tests so you will need to memorize the important materials, which he'l tell you ahead of time. His tests are not hard. He's also very helpful if you need extra help on certain homework problems or just don't understand something on his lecture.
In order to ENJOY this class, you should always come PREPARED to class. That is all there is to it.
Mo is one math professor at De Anza I would recommend. His midterm and take homes are more difficult that his tests in class, so keep that in mind when he asks the class what they would like take. Hardworking guy, has a full-time job outside of teaching. Teaching is his passion. I just wished that he tried to remember people's names!!
Mo is very clear and good at explaining concepts. The difficulty of his test isn't stable, either easy as hell or hopeless to solve. I hope Mo would have more interaction with students while solving problems in class, because students wouldn't have a chance try whether they really can solve them before being fed by the answers and solutions.
He's a very good teacher that clearly likes to see his students succeed. He's very clear and helpful in class as long as you listen to him and don't break the rules. The amount of homework is fair, just make sure you do it! All of it! even if he doesn't collect it. His tests can be quite hard in my opinion, so study a lot.
Show up to class and do the homework and you will pass the class easily. If you don't understand something he is always willing to help you, teaching is his passion and what he enjoys doing. No Calculator, he focuses on understanding the material. As long as you show up to class and do the homework you will get A's on his test.
He is a good teacher. If you do homework, the test is so easy and HW is extra points!! Do homework! Then the class is interesting for you guys!
One of the best teacher at De Anza. I recommend u should take his class. Math was a bit hard for me but after I took Dr. Mo's class it was nothing.
He makes all the knowledge easy understanding.
Very easy going guy, and no classroom politics. You'll do fine if you can keep up with the homework. Lectures are clear, and exams are pretty straightforward. 10/10 would recommend.
not like other instructors who try to challenge you with many super difficult questions, go to classes everyday you'll find his tests are pretty superficial. btw correct him if you can whenever he is doing the question wrong, easy going guy
Definitely recommend! Very helpful and makes the material easier to understand. Keeping up with homework makes the course a lot easier. Hes always willing to answer questions, just correct him when he makes a mistake on the board. Two thumbs up!
he is a good teacher. you will get good lectures.
Explains the material very well. Tests are multiple choice and homework counts for part of the grade. Must read textbook for test. he curves extremely well.he is very nice and is really willing to help you if you don't understand!
First of all, I'm an English Major; therefore, math isn't exactly a subject I excel in. Even so, Mo is very laid back and willing to help you if you need the help. Homework can raise your percentage points up 4-5 points on every test. I would definitely recommend him to students that struggle with math, as well as those that don't!
A pretty good professor. He teaches straight out of the book, but goes really in depth into each problem and will not hesitate to slow down or stay after class to answer questions on a specific problem.
Math can be the most dreadful class you can take in college but Mo makes it easy to learn. He knows the material and has multiple degrees. I wasnt sure if i would get along with him in the beginning of the quarter but i would recommend his class to anyone. He isnt just going to had you an "A" but the test are straight forward if you do the homework
He explains quite well and most of his test comes from the hw. although the only thing that I would disagree with is his grading. You could miss one question on the test because of a minor mistake and it will bring your grade to a b-. he says he gives partial credit but it doesn't really help its almost like missing the full question.
Easy to understand and willing to help. Everything on test comes from HW or examples. If you do the HW, you will do well.
I always hate math and always bearly pass , with Mo I have a great chance for A and love math. He is awesome!
He is so polite and pationt and will go over all check points which is really important for students that didn't get 212, also he never try to BS students if he does mistake he will say sorry and will do the problem solving again till make a currect statement witch many of teachers refused to do. Witch many teacher refused to do so.
Mo is a great teacher! He is very helpful! He is also generous for grading! He doesn't use the math lab online for homework, so you can just get a used textbook! If you do your homework and review all the chapters before your final, you will get a good grade!
He is one of the best instructors I've ever had. He is awesome. All of his tests are from textbook or homework problems. If you attend his class and do your homework it is very easy to get an A. Attendance is not mandatory. However, if You don't attend his class you will have problems for the tests, midterm and final.
Mo is willing to help you and work with you. If you are willing to learn, you will. He is not very charismatic but he's a great teacher. The best part about his teaching style is that he provides with real life examples and that helped me understand the material and it made sense. He should pay a more attention to students cheating on exams.
Mr. Mo's class was easy, but only because he taught well and didn't try to trick us or make things hard just to keep the average grade down. He tested us on exactly what we learned: no more, no less. He teaches straight out of the book, so it's vital that you have your own copy. I liked that, since it meant I was able to read the problems myself.
If Ur motivated and have time conflicts he's great! His classes aren't mandatory which really helped me having 2 kids and a full time job! He's very helpful and he takes his time. He goes over everything very carefully. I highly recommend him.
I like this professor's teaching style, and it is easy to get a good grade, if you do your work and review it before tests.
It is an easy class if you pay attention to the lectures and do homework. Sometimes he goes so fast that you don't understand or confuse, but it doesn't a big deal. You can ask him again. The teacher is so nice and helpful.
It is not hard to get a good grade if you pay attention to the lectures and do homework. The teacher is so nice and helpful.
He is awesome! Very strict in class (you cannot be late and use phone in class or else he will embarrassed you). attd. not mandatory. BE IN CLASS TO REVIEW FOR FINAL and you will pass the class.
Mo is a good teacher, he wants his students to know the material so his tests usually don't require your final answer. attendance not mand. but you should go for the lectures, and do homework, it will help too. Hope he is teaching math 12!!
Attendance and homework are not mandatory, but you'll do better on the exams if you do the homework. There are 4 rules: don't be late, no sleeping, no listening to music, and no internet surfing. During summer session there are 4 exams (lowest grade is dropped) and a comprehensive final. Mo teaches well; no calculators allowed; I learned a lot. :)
TAKE HIS CLASS! He is by far the best math teacher at DeAnza! He is very helpful. The homework is not mandatory but do it because he uses questions just like the ones from homework for tests. If you come to class, do the homework and study you will get an A. Drops lowest test as well. Homework will be collected as extra credit! Helps a lot!
This guy knows how to teach. He doesn't baby or chase you. You take his class, it's your responsibility to attend and do homework. NO CALCULATORS ALLOWED. Seems odd at first but, you really don't need them for this class. Overall. I suggest you take him. He is really good.
Mr. Mo's guidelines are established and enforced. The basic rules are, don't be late, don't use technology in class, study the book and do the homework, and you will get a high grade in the course. He works through the problems during class and before tests so be sure to have examples ready for him. Also a benefit to hear is real-life examples.
Mo is the only professor I had that just goes with the book. If you miss class one day, you dont even have to worry too much because he just goes by the book. At first he can seem intimidating, but thats how all teachers are. He is AMAZING. he is an AMAZING and FAIR GRADER. Tests are from lectures, hw, & from the examples in the book. BEST MAN EVER
As a person he wouldn't have such a high rating, but he really is a good teacher. Super strict, but committed to helping his students succeed.
Attendance Mandatory. Tests are directly from the examples he goes over from the BOOK, as well as HW from the BOOK. The book is the greatest help! He does not like it when you are late, sleeping or texting. I work full time and still did well in this class, and I dislike math. Great Professor!
Good personality, follow book, clear. Tests is homework from test book, just do them and you'll be fine to get an A and extra credits . He will give you 4 tests and drop the lowest score, so that you can have a chance to get good grade.
Overall good teacher, lectures were pretty dry. He doesn't go into depth of things (unless you ask) he really just wants you to grasp the idea of how to solve things. Tests are okay not many. Hw was assigned throughout the quarter, but he would randomly collect for EC. And he hardly checks attendance.
Mo was one of the onpy teachers I had that went directly by the book. His class is fairly easy and attendance is not mandatory. Tests and midterm are similar to homework questions. He doesnt collect it but I recommend you you doing it anyway cause that's where the tests are from. Only bad is u can't use ur phone and he makes a lot of mistakes.
Professor Mo is an amazing professor, I am the one who sucks at math. I loved how he always said "this we use it in real life". He has rules his three special rules: Don't text, don't be late, and no sleeping which I never had to brake because as an adult you don't go to class to do the above. Very understandable and helpful with DSS students.
His test are directly from examples and hw problem which make it fairly easy if you missed lecutres. His lecture is boring and not clearly exapplained, makes a lot mistakes but he is kind and willing to answer your question after class. Stick to the book and you will pass the class with easy A
His class was clear and straightforward. I wish there were more professors like him. Homework and attendence is optional. However, the test questions involve every variation of the concepts. He moves fast, you will understand every concept of Algebra there is several weeks before the final. You have to study hard but you will be more then prepared
I like his teaching style, he does not give any online hw, and you don't have to buy scantron. No trick questions on test, they are all easy if you understand the concept. No quiz, and hw not required, but if you do hw you can receive 3 extra credit on test.
Mo is pretty easy. He has only 5 Test throughout the quarter (including Mid Term and Final) He wont put trick questions like Fractions or anything too Complex. Homework is optional as well as attendance. He does go real fast, so make sure you have your textbook by the first day or so. He teaches straight off the book. Classes can be boring tho.
very nice mannered prof. doesn't take attendance nor does he collect hw but will earn u extra points for the test when he collects it. I'm not a very good test taker nor was math my strongest link but his tests were fair & i was able to get trough it with a B or higher. he will give partial points to test questions unlike other teachers. take him.
Best teacher I took at de Anza, straight forward lectures, clear grading system, and attendance is not mandatory. homework may be collected for 3 extra points and I would definitely take him again!!
i cud tell he was a nice person. well mannered prof. I'm not a good test taker or great in math but i was able to get a B or higher on tests. Tests came from hw and will collect random for extra points on the test. Class gets boring cus its math. He's easier than many of the teachers. Clear and as long as u get the concept no trick questions
nice class, dude. he's a pretty cool guy and he teaches well.
The best math 11 professor at De Anza!
I took this course due to the rates he had. He is very clear with his work and always answers your questions whenever they were being asked. The tests are fairly easy but you do have to do homework to stay on track. I would not recommend taking this night class, worst decision I have made. Book is needed. He does check attendance.
The class itself is very dry and boring. The entire time we do textbook examples. But attendance is not mandatory. The tests are very clear and just like the examples in the book and homework problems. There are no surprises on the test. Easy to get an A if you just review the hw and in class examples.
textbook is required, really helpful to the student
This is my first quarter at de anza I think he is good prof
very good math teacher from Iran, he is very clear and helpful
Extremely intelligent man that knows his math and he chooses only relevant homework which is helpful. The only down fall is he goes to fast and consistently makes mistakes. This creates a confusion of learning. Its not an easy class, so just do all the homework to be able to go through the motions, and you will easily pass.
The class itself isn't hard if you have basic knowledge of arithmetic and algebra. The man himself is wonderful and is very passionate about teaching. Mo can be difficult to understand throughout the course of the quarter because mistakes in lectures. Overall, easy A if you do HW. Tests are straightforward so just put in the work.
He is helpful and clear most of the time, but he has one flaw. You are give approximately one hours for a 10+ question test, but he doesn't give any time warnings (i.e. "10 mins left"). So you'll be lost in your test and all of a sudden, you will hear "TIME UP!" and he will not even let you squeeze in another second. Plus: he gives partial credit.
Drops worst test, final exam score replaces midterm score if it is beneficial to your grade
Kind of strict in class: no phone, no late. Overall, he is a good teacher and very helpful. He makes math problems simple and easy. I ll take him again if he teaches math 12. Take him! You wont go wrong!
This professor is very good. His class and example are based on the book. He has 3 test during the quarter and the lowest will be dropped. Homework will not be collected very frequently and you can get extra credit if you turn in. If you want to get an A on math 11, his class must be the best choice.
The class wasn't difficult but he goes over the course material pretty fast. If you are not familiar with the material you'll need to go all over again at home. The attendance is optional, so if you don't want to waist your time going to class, stay home and go on your own over check points from the book. Do homework, it helps.
Dedicated to the students, helps you in every way possible. Recommend him to everyone
Lecture itself is very dry, examples straight from the book to the board. Mo uses real world examples for the problems that actually matter in the business world. As for test, four test total with the lowest score to be dropped and the final exam (if higher) replaces midterm grade. Great teacher would recommend and take again.
Great teacher! Will spend tons of time with you if you need extra help after class or when ever he can. His teaching style is different but if ur not shy and ask questions you'll learn all you need too learn. Tests are the only thing you're graded on hw is extra credit. So study constantly and you'll probably get an A.
Professor Mo really wants you to learn the material and is always available to answer questions before and after class if you are struggling. As long as you study the checkpoints and do the homework, you should be able to pass. I would highly recommend taking his classes and would take Math 10 & 11 if he teaches it next qtr.
No complaints, what is expected out of an average professor if, not any better.
It is a easy class if you understand all the checkpoints. The tests are all basic on those check points. Nice instructor. He would like to answer questions as long as you get it. Recommend!
He is very nice. 4 Midterm (lowest drop), 1mid, 1final. lectures were very clear. Tests are really based on examples of the textbook. so very easy to get A. Attendance is not mandatory. also when u have a question, he solve it for u in class. if u wanna get A, take his class.
Mo is a great teacher. If you really put in the work and do the hw (not mandatory) it's an A for you. The concepts are clear and his grading is fair. If you disagree, he is always open for discussion. He can give you a real life example for any math problem. Will def. take again!
This class is very clear and organizaed. If he teach math 12, I want to take his class again.
Mo is the best math teacher ever. Wish he teach more class. He is really helpful. He will spend a lot of time to answer all of your question. Test base on what you have learned. He will drop the test which has lowest score.
Best math teacher ever!!!! He is super patient with students!
Nice and intelligent professor. He goes pretty fast on the material so it is difficult if you're trying to take notes and understand the material at the same time. Tests aren't too bad. No calculator, no notes. Homework is optional, but it helps to do them to prepare for the test and to get a little extra credit. Would take his class again
I really enjoyed Mo's class. He moves VERY quickly, and he expects you to know previous math formulas learned in earlier math classes. However, he explains things clearly, and he is incredibly knowledgeable, he really knows his math. I'm definitely going to try and take him every chance I can, his teaching style is so easy when you get used to it.
His lectures are dry, but easy to understand. The amount of tests he gives seems daunting at first, but each test (except for the midterm and final) covers less sections as a result, so you don't have to study too much at once for each test. Each test is straightforward, and should be easy if you do the homework and pay attention in class.
Mo is a nice teacher, I'm sure you'll pass as long as you attend the class . He's willing to help and the lectures are clear. you'll get credits for doing the homework. Take him! best teacher in de anza!
He takes the hw randomly, BUT you will get extra credit for doing it
The gist of Mo's teaching is just plain straightforward and as clear as he can explain to us. After a few lectures I've become comfortable enough to ask questions during class and after as he's always been 100% ready to answer anything you inquire. Mo's hw is optional, but it is recommended for just enough practice and E.C. before each test.
Mo is by far the best math teacher I've had in De Anza college. Unlike many other math teachers in our college, he's a friend of his students. What's important for him is that his students learn the math concepts they will need in future and tests you on those only. He's very clear. An exemplary teacher by all means.
Mr Rezvani is the best math teacher in De Anza. I took math 114 and 41 with him and I learned a lot. He is able to extracting a simple answer from a seemingly difficult question. he repeats important things again and again so student can improve their basic.
His lectures are very clear. Tests are pretty straightforward. He doesn't throw any trick questions on tests. Feel free to ask him any questions in class or after class. He's always there for you.
He inspires me because he has a full time job and still wants to share his knowledge with us who need to learn. I dont really understand the grading and points he uses understood a little more towards the end of course. Homework is extra credit which helps a lot. He is a quick teacher and sometimes i cant catch up.
Good teacher overall, would definitely take his class again. Homework is optional, but definitely do it because it will help you understand the material so much better and he only collects it for extra credit on many of the tests. He can be a little fast pace with lectures but if you ask him for help he'll gladly do it without making you feel dumb.
Great teacher overall. Doesn't require you to show up for class except for the first week and tests. The homework isn't required either but if you don't already know the topics I would recommend doing it. He is very straightforward about tests and there not too bad if you know what your doing. He does not allow calculators on tests however.
Good professor
Recommended, goes a little fast sometimes, but all you have to do is ask and he'll slow it down a bit without making you feel bad. And you can always talk to him after class. 1 thing is that he is strict about test time limits, but test aren't long, so make sure you keep an eye on the clock. Overall most approachable and nice teacher i've taken.
He is a great teacher. His class is dry and straightforward, but he makes class optional. The questions on the exams are literally hw questions, so make sure to do the hw. He's a little strict, but overall an easy A class. Tests are less than 10 questions. Final you can have a double sided cheat sheet. Hw optional too. He enjoys what he does.
Test questions are taken from homework and examples. Do the homework assigned in the book and none of the questions will take you by surprise. No calculators used during tests. Class attendance is optional except for test days. Really nice and easygoing professor. Always willing to answer questions and never makes you feel bad for needing help.
He can go a little fast sometimes, but just ask him to slow down or clarify if you don't get it. You can also talk with him after class or before class to ask for help if needed. Don't use your phone or talk in class he'll make sure to call you out.
Passionate teacher. Willing to answer any questions during lecture. Do your homework for extra credit. Homework is essential to doing well in the class. And don't take out your phone during class or you will feel is or he will call you out immediately on it. Wish he taught other math classes.
Mo teaches math straight from the assigned textbook which makes studying very easy for students because you can go back and review the exact same examples and problems that he did in class. If students are stuck or don't fully understand some concepts, he always clarifies and explains things in detail after class. Mo is a very good teacher overall.
I am not sure why he gets so many good reviews. He's okay. I'm going to have to retake this class. I feel he lets us get away with not having to do homework. It should not be optional. I think it made a lot of the students slack off and when it came close to test time no one was getting a good grade. I will not be taking another class from him.
I will not recommend him at all. The worse math teacher at De Anza by far. He goes way to fast with this lessons and he scribbles his lesson plans on the board and with his messy handwriting it's so hard to understand. And homework optional?? What's that all about he's just setting people up for failure. Don't take his class he's not good at all!
Avoid this guy like the plague. Seriously, just find another professor. Take the class at a different time. Wait till next quarter if you have to. Just dont. Hes incredibly rude to his students, blames it on the fact that he works a full time job as well as teaching. His lesson plans are erratic, and he cannot explain concepts thoroughly.
His exams are easy, just set up the equations, you don't need to calculate the answers since he does not let students use calculators. Do the hw, then you will pass the exam EASILY! All the exam questions are from hw! Don't know why people complain about him, materials are really easy but some students are mean and judgmental!!
His circulum is easy to follow. He set our class up for failure. Our book was incorrect, the solutions he gave were incorrect, and there were no tutors in student center for math 11 due to low demand. He is so degrading! Idk why he got such good reviews? Do the hw, stay on top of it and youll be fine for exams. I put 20 hrs/wk studying to pass!
A better teaching method for math. No calculator, he focuses on your ability to set up the problem. Gives you exam solutions after the exam to review and learn from your mistakes. Does not grade homework but will give you extra credit points for doing it. Facts: Homework questions are the same as test questions, just different numbers. Do the HW.
Best math teacher. He isn't laid back or anything be he makes you do a lot of work. The homework is OPTIONAL. Attendance is all on you too. He is super good at presenting and go over a lecture/Homework. he has a very strict policy of CELLPHONES. I learned a lot from him and he is very patient and detailed when you don't understanding something.
Mo is a straight forward proffesor. Class is based on test scores, HW is optional attendance is optional. If you know a lot of the stuff from your 212 and 114 class it should be an easy class to pass, but if you haven't taken math in a while or ask a lot of questions you probably shouldn't take his class. Tutoring will likely be necessary to pass.
Idk what everyone else was talking about but he was a great teacher. Show up to class, do your HW and study before tests. Doing the HW is a must as a lot of the test is just HW problems reworded. Pay attention, read notes and do HW and you'll get an A.
Very understanding of the fact that many of us have other obligations outside of being a student. He sees attendance as choice you make based on the level of help you require.
Mo is the best teacher! I was scared to take math because I never properly learned it at all. He is so clear, patient & kind. He makes sure your questions are answered if you ask questions. He doesn't make class or homework mandatory, however, passing this class you need to do homework- he advises that! I worked hard & had a great teacher.
He is very nice just don't use your cell phone. He will stay after class to help in any way and answers good questions in class. Homework is extra credit which helps your grade on tests a lot.
Excellent professor! He is very clear and straight to the point in all of his lectures. He explains everything very well and he is always available for help if you need it. He is very nice, caring and patient. I highly recommend his class!
Great Teacher! Really cares about students and I think that's the most important thing. Wants you to learn and will answer any questions you have. Understand that mistakes happen and is really nice about things! Would take him again if I can in the future!
Homework is optional but if you do it you will receive extra credit! Teaches very well and goes over anything you are uncertain about! About 3 tests, drops the lowest score and one midterm + final. Tests are 10 questions, midterm 15 questions, and final 20 questions. Easy class if you show up and pay attention. Take him!!!
Professor Mo is straightforward on what is expected of his students and what students can expect of him. He is very fair in his grading. Smart, funny, and I'm happy I got the chance to experience his style of teaching. Listen, do the homework, you will be just fine.
The class is not hard as long as you show up in class, and he is willing to help if you are struggling in math problem. I will highly recommend this professor if you are struggling in math.
Great professor overall, I would recommend this class to all my friends!
Great professor! His tests are not that hard if you practice and he is super nice about things and will try and work with you, would take him again.
I took his math114 winter2017. He is so nice. He teaches every solutions clearly. I got many homework but it was worth. If you do homework, you can get extra credits. I highly recommend to take his class.
GREAT professor! would like to take him again! very helpful and works with you if you have hard time understanding math. Just show interest and do the work and you will be fine!
Mo, expects your attention if you come to class. He is a professional and your an adult. So don't expect coddling. Put your phone away. Do the homework, and the tests will not be a problem. The extra credit homework is worth more then you think.
Mr. Rezvani is very clear in you get what you put in. You need to do the work to get the grade you want. He is definitely not a babysitter type of professor.
He took over our class after our main teacher left and he was a great teacher! He knows what he's talking about and really teaches the material. Super straightforward
I am currently in Dr. Rezvani's math class and I am amazed at how kind and caring he is. He teaches with passion. Alway there to help you. He is very knowledgeable and very good at teaching. I enjoy being in his class and I am learning a lot. He is very straight forward and you know what is expected from you. Dr. Rezvani is an amazing teacher!
Just finished the summer session. Dr. Mo was an outstanding teacher. We got through the whole math book in half the time. He has a way of teaching that even someone that has a hard time picking up lessons was able to learn quick. Thank you Dr. Mo.
Dr. Rezvani is the best Math professor I've ever taken. He is very knowledgeable. Dr. Rezvani is very helpful and I will definitely would like to take another math class with him.
One of the best professors I've had, won't hesitate to explain something that you should of learned in the previous class. Just don't use your phone in class or else he will put you on blast in front of everyone lol
If you have the opportunity to take Mr. Mo you will definitely not be disappointed. He is very passionate about his teaching and creates an amazing environment to learn. He makes jokes often and is very patient with any questions that you might have and takes the time to go over any material from homework that he assigns. Take his class!
Excellent teacher for students who are math-phobic. He makes every effort to demystify Math 210; students benefit greatly from this approach. He strives to help you see math logically and simply; he's patient and gladly explains things more than once. Attendance not mandatory, but attend class and you'll get a lot out of Math 210. Super teacher!
He drops the lowest test score out of three, gives half credit for showing work if you get the answer wrong. Teaches exactly like the book, if math is hard for you it might be hard to follow, but he always available to help after class, and answer all questions in class.
Difficult to understand because he speeds through lectures and his writing is messy. He makes a lot of mistakes during lecture. Drops the lowest test score. Test problems are from the textbook/homework, so doing the homework really helps.
I dropped my other 43 class just to be in his class again. I'd highly recommend this professor if you want to get a good grade and actually understand the material. Homework is optional but I'd recommend doing it because it'll 100% earn you a good grade just by being familiar with the problems. By far the best math teacher I've had here.
Mo really cares about his students. He will look for multiple ways to explain the material how ever best suits your learning style. As long as you do all your hw and understand the material you will do well on the test and get extra credit for the hw. If you have trouble with the material he will go over hw problems with the class daily.
Mr. Mo is a wonderful professor. I didnt get a great grade, but here are some tips I wish I wouldve done different: Do ALL the homework, even though it isnt mandatory! Study for the tests. Your grade basically hinders on 5 tests (drops lowest). Looking back, I would take another class with him! He is a solid professor, that wants you to succeed.
He is an amazing professor, I took his math class. The homework helps you understand better his lecture and he gives extra points. I like him and recommend his class.
He is the best professor ever and he is very nice too. If you do the homework you will be fine in the exam. I encourage you to take him.
One of the better math professors at DeAnza. I would recommend taking him if you have the chance. Tests are not hard at all, as long as you know the basic concepts. Sometimes he rushes through the lecture, but he is more than happy to stop and answer even dumb questions. HW is optional but is where the exact test questions come from.
Mo is the best math professor I ever have. Definitely take his math again.
Is a very thorough teacher and if you need extra help he is very willing to give it.
Ive learned to many things, my professor is the best , I enjoyed his class, I hope have a chance to get his class again,
Professor Mo is probably one of the best here at De Anza. He's very informative and helpful. He treats everyone equally and is more than happy to answer any question no matter how "stupid" we may feel like it may be. Exams are straight forward and easy, if you stay on top of your homework. HW is extra credit!!! Would definitely take another class.
Splitting up precalc into three quarters is a giant waste of time. However, thanks to Rezvani, it's bearable. This professor is extremely fair. No trick questions, no points marked for doing different methods and pulls all the questions from checkpoints and homework questions. Do the homework and you'll get an A, guaranteed.
I took Math 43 with him over the summer and he made the class much more easier yet you can still learn the materials. He's a really straightforward guy. His test questions are based off of checkpoints from textbook and homework problems. He genuinely wants his students to learn the materials but at the same time get a good grade also. TAKE HIM!!
Great professor, doesnt change anything on test. Is very fair!
Have questions, ask or else hes gonna assume you understand like everyone else. Took this class during the summer so It was accelerated. But overall consistent grader and test questions very similar to the lecture and homework ones. Also, dont perpetually ask him if its gonna be on the test or else its just annoying.
Homework dictates a lot of the test. Doing homework is beneficial because he gives you 3 points on the test if you do it.
Mo is a great professor. straight forward with his policies and lectures. He's willing help any student who is having trouble. skip class? you could still pass because attendance and homework is optional except for exams. Would recommend to all.
I took this class at 7 am during summer. The hardest work you will need to do is try to stay awake during lectures. He gets really mad when someone uses his cellphone or falls asleep. His tests are based on checkpoints from the book and homework (not mandatory) You can pass the class just by showing up
The best math teacher I have ever had
His lecture is amazing, he makes sure you understand everything, and if you do and go home do your homework, you will get an easy A. I definitely going to take all my math class with him if I could! Best Prof!!
This guy is amazing. Lectures are easy to understand. Class time is spent earnestly trying to make everyone understand the material. Homework is optional and only for extra credit. Tests are fairly easy and graded very clearly. He doesn't care for attendance so skip away if you're that kind of person. Overall a great professor.
Very reasonable teacher! Although you can't use notes during tests and he doesnt look at all hw, he takes off the lowest test grade which saved me and chooses some of the hw for extra credit which motivates you to do all. Tests are straightforward. There's 10 questions on his tests tho so not very EASY A but he doesnt give A- which I'm happy about!
Out of all the teachers in the math department, he's GOLD. Really straightforward teacher, homework is extra credit and randomly collected. Not alot of questions on test but gives points if you try. Classes not mandatory after the first week. Besides quiz/tests days, I Didnt go to any of his classes. Self study and youre good!
Okay teacher, when the class average for the test is low he makes us feel bad about it and tells us to drop if it's too hard because of how it would look on our transcript. Despite the negativity he does make himself available to us for help if we need it. Homework is a couple extra points on the test if you choose to turn it in.
Great professor. Just do all the homework and its easy A+.
Professor Mo actually understands math, so he's able to cut straight to the beautiful parts instead of going robotically through the textbook. If you want to a solid foundation so you can keep learning, take his class.
He is a great professor. Makes you work for your grads and you will learn a lot. Quizzes, Tests, Midterms, and final's questions come from homework and checkpoints. He gives good feedback and cares for his students. I would take him again.
Honestly Math42 is really tough but Prof. Rezvani is a great professor. He won't just hand you a passing grade because he wants you to work for it. Attendance isn't mandatory but I recommend going to every one because his lectures are helpful and apply to the tests and quizzes. Easy to find outside of class. Really good at going over any questions1
He makes you work for your grade, partial credits are not really there even though he says he gives partial credit.
I took math 43 during summer. It is an easy class. He doesnt collected the homework. But if you done the homework, he gave the extra credit for that. Take him. As all he test and exam are came from what he taught during the class and the homework. Easy A.
Do the homework, then pass the tests. He collects homework at random and when he does its for extra credit. I say do the homework not for the extra credit but because it will really help you retain the material so you can breeze by on the tests. I would definitely take this class again.
He is very nice teacher. I suggest you if you take this class just study the handwriting
Took Mo during the summer for math43, he's really funny however he went over the material crazy fast which was expected. HW was optional, he did give ec for anyone who did it, tests were mainly based on his lectures AND hw problems, so do the hw problems. His lectures are pretty old school, but overall he was fine I would take him again.
Math1A I thought he was a great but easy teacher by viewing ratings from his pre-cal classes. His tests were not extremely tricky, but hes super easy to deduct lots of point! Tricky questions that appeared in the tests, he didnt really teach them in class, he just assigned you bunch of hw which includes those and expect you learn by yourself.
The only thing that counts towards your grades are the midterms. I guess the homework too, but they are only 3 extra credit points. His tests aren't too bad if you do the homework but he assigns a lot. His handwriting isn't that great and honestly most of us don't understand anything during lecture. I would take it if you have the time to selfstudy
I took him because his rates for pre-calc were pretty good but he's not good with calculus at all. He assigns so many hw problems that are harder than what he actually teaches and tests are similar to hw problems. His lecture is so boring, and just wants to finish the sections and doesn't care if students got the material.
He was a great pre-calc teacher, but calculus was much more different compared to the way he lectured his pre-calc classes. I literally couldn't understand anything during the lecture because everything was so rushed, and most of the time it was basically just cramming as many sections as we could per day. Hard to understand concepts fail
Do NOT take this class if you are not naturally talented in math!!!! Lectures are confusing and handwriting is awful. Assigns a ton of homework. He is a really nice and caring person, but I'm not sure if teaching is the right profession for him. This class is purely self-studying. If you are willing to invest a lot of time, then you'll be fine.
Beware! Don't get tricked by his good precal ratings. Mo is a nice person but he is horrible at teaching calculus. The whole class is suffering and he has got only one thing to say, you guys are poor in algebra. Also, you will never be able to decipher his handwriting. I am a straight-A math student and I don't know if I will get even a B here.
Mr. Mo is an excellent choice for Math 1A. He gives plenty of homework and as long as you do the homework assigned, there is no need to worry about the midterm and the final. He even dropped the lowest graded test and gave many options to improve our grades throughout the quarter. I really feel confident going into 1B in the next quarter.
You're grade is comprised of 3 tests (lowest is dropped), a midterm and a final. As long as you complete the homework you can get an A with ease. Mo is the fairest professor I have ever had, he is very lenient in grading. The only caveat is that there is a large amount of homework so be prepared to spend a decent amount of time on the class.
Mo was one of the best math teachers I've ever had. His lectures were very straightforward and clearly walked through many example problems. All the exams were directly based on problems from his lectures and the hw problems assigned. Although there is a lot of hw assigned, it is very much worth your time because it is extra credit and good prep.
If you take MO's math 1A get ready, your life will be miserable. Poor explanation, messy handwriting and super hard exams. He won't give enough time to finish exams as well. I just wish I had not taken his class. Made my life hell for 3 months :(
He really cares about the student's success so take advantage of office hours when you have questions related to exams and hw assignment. The exams were just a copy of his in-class examples and homework problems. Do ALL of the homework and you should be fine on exams. He also gives extra credit if you do them which is a good grade-booster
It was a great experience having Professor Rezvani. His tests and midterm are easy (HW, class notes). He gives extra credit too. The final is similar as well. Just review your previous assessments and do his HW assignments; you will be successful. For those of you who are taking Math 1A next quarter, I recommend you to select him as a professor.
Mr. Mo is one of the great professors I've ever met. He truly cares about students, tries to help students with gracious efforts, and adjusts the test difficulty to the level of the students. Whether on weekends or holidays, he did his best to answer your questions. All test was based on in-class and homework questions.
Mos a great professor who cares a lot about his students. He takes the time to go through lessons and makes sure everything is well understood. Hes very thorough in his lessons and makes it very clear what he will or will not put on the tests. No surprises, very straightforward! Take him!!!
Mo is perhaps the best math teacher I've ever had! He is always willing to answer questions through email. And he gives extra credit if you do your homework. Just make sure to use your homework to study for tests and it should be an easy A :)
A very dedicated instructor. He stays back after class to help with questions if not cleared during class. He goes in detail of the subject so as to help the students who are planning to go next level math class.
Mo is a good teacher, actually knows what he's talking about. Handwriting can be hard to read and goes pretty fast at times, but always willing to stop to answer questions. Tests are entirely based off of homework and problems done in class so they are fairly easy, grades them in a week. Allows a cheat sheet for the final. Zero phone/laptop use!
I took Mo for Calc 1A after reading all the reviews that he was a good teacher. The class environment is him going quickly through lessons. I took endless notes which in the end I didn't understand, resorted to teaching myself with the book/online. Handwriting is bad, don't recommend taking his class if you take 20 units & work, you won't have time
I do not recommend rezvani I'm currently taking him for Calc 1 or Math 1A and hes not at all good. He does not give partial credit and when the answer is correct he points out to mistakes in the work I have shown that's unacceptable. You can definitely not use your phone or laptop at all in here so be prepared to not use electronics for 2+ hrs.
Nice teacher, chill and all BUT he teaches very fast, you can be on chapter 3 and up to chapter 5.3 in one sitting. Doing the homework can help, but he does NOT GIVE you time to learn it at all. I asked his help, willing to help you, again, everything is thrown at you. If you're good at math I believe you will be fine. I worked hard in his class
I took professor Rezvani for the first two precalculus classes (Math 41 and 42). He's very old-school so he doesn't allow phones or laptops in his class. His homework is optional and is from the textbook but I recommend doing it because his quizzes and exams come from it. His teaching style doesn't work for everyone but overall he's a great teacher
Lecture heavy, with step by steps and are easy to follow. Notes optional since he allows you to take pictures of notes after class. Lots of homework, but helps with emails that are how to solutions to all/most questions asked on homework. Good amount of tests too, based on homework so do the homework. Good old school caring math teacher.
Had him for math 41. All the tests were based on homework problems or lecture notes. Study the tests too. Grade was composed of 2 tests, midterm and final! He dropped our lowest test score. Overall he was okay, he does go really fast. He does communicate well, as you can speak to him during office hours or through email. Response time is quick.
He is a good professor. He is very humble, and asks students to point out his mistakes. His lecture is basically easy to understand. However, sometimes, his handwriting can be difficult to read. If you have something that you do not understand, you could ask him. He will eagerly teach you until you can get it.
He is really amazing, just do your homework and you will do fine :)
Exam questions are taken from class notes and homework. Notes are very detailed and he reviews any question you have. Very accessible through email, office hour, and after class. Practice is key to passing the class. All in all great Professor and would be happy to take another class with him again as he made it extremely easy for me to understand.
Professor Rezvani is a great teacher. He does a great job at managing the pace of the class to make sure the students that struggle with the material are able to keep up but also explains more advanced questions about the practical uses for equations and calculations. He gives you his full attention and asks the same of you. So no phones in class.
I took Mos class for MATH41 (or precalc 1) and thought he was a good teacher, but had a specific style that wont work for everyone. The classes are all lecture, and he doesnt give much or anytime for you to work through problems yourself, so practicing takes some self direction which in Math, I dont tend to have.
Its hard to make math interesting or understandable within a 12 week span, but Mo was able to keep the pacing really well. The class is straight forward. Go to lectures, do the homework, then study for tests/exams. You dont really have many interactions with Mo since the class starts immediately, but he has office hours.
I hate math class. I always used to have teach myself at home because most math teachers suck, but I didn't have to do that in Mo's classjust show up and listen to him explain everything (he does so from start to finish, basics to real life applications) and it's so helpful. Didn't even need to take notes. Highly recommended
During Chinese Coronavirus, we have moved all the face-to-flame classes online. I do have hard time understanding his writing and Im not the only who is suffering as well. I wish his writing could be more organized and neat.
During COVID-19, it was online. He dropped the midterm and postponed every test. Clear on what he expects I did teach myself most the material. Handwriting awful. Always an email away and you can set up a meeting with him. Lots of homework but doesn't collect, it's not graded as well, it's up to you to be ready for the test. Tests based on homework
He is really good Professor. Really clear handwriting, and describe every steps. And he reply email on Sunday. Quiz is all from homework. Do the HW and you can pass. 100% recommend.
He is easy, he was my first quarter math professor (fall 2019) and I got about 99.8% average. Here are the things you should do: 1. Do all the hw 2. Go to office hours (he always welcomes students asking questions) 3. study the review questions that he will mention before the exams. If you do all these things, you'll get an easy A. DONE.
Mo is a perfect professor I have ever meet. He gave us a lot of homework but really helpful. His tests are a little difficult (based on homework). If you do everything with him, you will get an A.
Mo is fairly knowledgeable, we could truly learn something from him. Homework is heavy though, he never ask us to submit it since it does not count any grades in the quarter. However, we'd better do that because tests are based on the homework. Overall, a pretty good professor. Recommended!
I enjoyed his online session and thought the zoom meetings were very helpful. He already had the notes laid out and we would just have to follow along with him. I wish he used the whiteboard more often. He would always after the meetings if anyone has any questions. No one would respond and I wish the class were a bit more interactive.
Great professor. Learned lots of useful things for work. PROS: - Lots of HW but didn't have to turn it in so I could do it at my own pace. - Lectures covered the textbook really well. - Flexible lectures since they were recorded. CONS: - Teacher should buy drawing tablet for lecture - Should mention more often how each topic is used in a job.
Most of my professors had a terrible, unorganized quarter due to covid. Mo was the opposite. He was understanding & considerate. His class was organized & concise. No added pressure. He genuinely cares for his students. His lectures were all recorded. Lectures & exams were straightforward. I suck at math & NEVER thought I would get an A in calc!!!!
Attend his lectures, do the homework, and ask questions! I struggle with math, but he was able to explain the material in a clear manner. He assigns a lot of homework, but understand how to do each problem because he pulls the questions from homework for his exams. He allows cheatsheets for exams, so fill that up!
Although he has a heavy accent and the course notes are scribble, he is very caring and teaching with patience. You can 100% get him if you ask your question. He also responds every email as soon as possible. It is worthwhile taking him!
Professor Rezvani, is an amazing teacher. He cares about the students and do hes best to make sure everyone is understanding the subject. I had hes online so for sure somethings were easier like I didnt have to turn my homework at a specific time and etc... overall this class was easy if you actually study.
Professor Mo is the best choice to study fundamental of math in De Anza. He is caring his students by noting the related formulas from math 41,42,43 besides margin to make sure students can understand. He have 3 test and 1 final exam .Gmail him if you have question .You do homework and review the example test , you will be fine.
I really recommend you to take his class. Professor Mo is amazing. He is very helpful outside of class. If you put in the work he is willing to go above and beyond for you. I had him for Spring Online class, I wish if he is my professor for the rest of Math classes 1B and 1C. Keep up the Good work!!
Mo is an awesome professor. He will prepare the notes for every lesson and use them to take class. He can solve your problems as soon as possible when you send an email. Mo will give you enough time to do tests and exams. So don't worry about the grade. He is an easy grader.
Mo is one of the best math teachers Ive ever had. I really felt like I understood calculus, I wasnt just memorizing it. Everything we did made perfect sense as to why it had to be done that way. The way he explains concepts makes them a breeze to learn. Tests were difficult but if nothing was ever a surprise on them
I took this class during the campus lockdown, and it was amazing- so stress-free. Mo is an amazing professor, without him, I honestly would not have passed.
This professor is a good online teacher. His tests are straight forward and he gives you plenty of time to take tests. If he's teaching online, you'll do well.
An in-class session has been converted online during COVID-19. His tests are very straight forward (literally, from HW) Do your HW and you'll do fine.
My class was heavy lecture based and I zoned out most of the time, but every test and the final I was given 2 days to complete and it was open notes/book. I didn't need to go to every Zoom class, just watching the recording helps. Overall it was an easy class, I've never received an A in math before.
Great professor, for math 11 homework and all assignments were optional. Your final grade was composed of 3 tests and a final (he drops the lowest test score). He's a great professor and I don't usually rate my professors but Mr. Rezvani earned a 5 star.
His class is composed of 3 test and one final, but he drops the lowest test. So your whole grade is based on two tests and the final( 2 test each worth 25% of your whole grade and final is worth 50%). His testing policy is emailing everyone the test on Sunday and expects it back the next day before 6pm. Lectures are recorded and posted in canvas.
Horrible Teacher. Doing the homework is optional but I did every homework assignment and even asked for a bit of extra help. I barely passed his class. He is extremely difficult and his lectures are hard to follow compared to the textbook. The internet will teach you more.
The whole class is literally only 3 tests and a final, and one of the tests is dropped. The homework is all optional and he communicates things pretty clearly. You don't need to show up to the zoom calls after the first two so I just studied the concepts the night before and did the tests. You have 3 days to turn in the test. Think about that.
even tho attendance was mandatory i didnt attend a single one because he doesnt check it. Didnt do any homework, or anything. The only thing that goes towards your grade are the tests. His lectures are BORING and he has a heavy accent. I took him during covid online so maybe this doesnt accurately reflect his actual teaching.
I just finished taking his Math 31 online classes. During the class, he is mostly giving examples and doesn't use the textbook that much. If you want to get a good grade, go over the textbook by yourself before the class, do all the homework he assigned you. In this case, you will definitely do well in tests.
He is a nice person and I can see that he ultimately wishes well for students. However, his lectures are too long and very difficult to stay awake to. We are assigned homework from the textbook, but we don't need to turn it in. It's for reference for the exams and tests. Most of the reading had to be done on my own, because of the bad lectures.
He is an excellent teacher, motivates his class and answers emails when there are questions. consistency is mandatory and I think that's what helps us ask questions, the teacher explains his class well, even prepares us for the exam.I recommend you take his class but you must take notes, this will help you the exam.
3 tests (he drops the lowest one),1 midterm,1 final, doesn't check homework. lectures are in depth, he went at a really good pace as well. Overall a super nice teacher and I wish I would have gotten to know him in proper settings. He responds to emails pretty quickly and over this fall quarter he was super considerate and understanding with covid.
Good teacher, answers emails quickly. Just show up and study and you will be fine. Drops the lowest test grade at the end of the semester and will round your midterm grade up to what you get on the final.
If you do the homework and have a final presentation you will pass the class. The only reason I got a B was that I didn't do homework.
Mo is an amazing human and really knows his stuff. If you show up for the lectures and do the homework the exams are easy. He will take the time to ensure you understand the concepts he is teaching before moving on. I would take any class he teaches and also gladly have a beer with him.
Grade is based on two tests(There are three but the lowest test grade is dropped), a midterm and final. He can be a little difficult to understand at times and I definitely recommend you watch some youtube videos to supplement the lectures, but he gives you plenty of time to take tests(They're take home). Examples he gives in class represent tests
What an amazing teacher. He teaches everything so well. The tests are a bit harder than I thought, but that didn't stop me from aceing the class. He gives you plenty of time, too.
The tests reflect the homework questions and things in class that are taught. Homework isn't graded but it will help a lot if you do it! Mo is very lenient when it comes to grading and also is open to any discussions. The way he teaches is more expressed in the scenarios he uses as examples and then translates that into the what will be learned.
He is caring and wants his students to succeed. You will take an interest in math from his lectures. In my future math classes, I really really want to study with him.
Mo really cares about his students and really does want to see every student succeed. That being said, the grade is solely dependent on tests, which are relatively easy. Pay attention in class and follow his methods. Most of the problems on his tests are the same difficulty, if not easier, than the examples that he shows in class. :)
His tests aren't terribly hard and if you reference his notes when you study then you will probably do well. The homework is a little useless sometimes because it covers simple problems in comparison to the more complex problems on the exam. If you show that you're committed to learning then he will help you do well. Super nice teacher.
Mo is a great teacher. His hand was injured, but still wrote examples on the board every lecture. Grading is super easy. 3 tests, midterm, final. Lowest test is dropped. Mo doesn't care about algebraic mistakes as long as they arent too major. there is a lot of homework, but it isn't graded. Tests based on homework. class length is a bit too long
Class lecture notes are generally concise and goes over a good number of examples (notes are sent to you before lecture). Just make sure to do the hw assignments (not graded but helps you practice concepts) and study for exams. There were 3 tests, one midterm and one final exam - level of difficulty doesn't go beyond what is given in hw.
Direct and cares the growth of the students. He sends out classnotes so we can follow along. 3 test, 1 midterm,1 final, drops the lowest test (and sends out practice tests). His hand was hurt but still wrote on board to help the students. If you have a question, ask. He is humble in his teaching and will not embarass you. Recommended.
Mr. Mo cares about student learning. He: explains various examples step-by-step; reminds us of math properties applied to calculus problems; clears doubts anytime during lectures; quickly responds to emailed questions with detailed calculations; sends practice tests; provides important formulas on exams. Doing the HW is very helpful. Recommended!!!
Those who are tech savvy, stay VERY FAR AWAY from this guy. He hates tech to the point where he doesn't even have a Canvas page, so getting in contact with other students for study groups is made a chore. Almost everything you ask him for or get out of him is in person, which is significantly harder than just using Canvas.
Genuinely a great professor.
Amazing, detailed lectures. Shows step by step for EVERYTHING, EVERYTIME. Will stop and explain something if u are confused, and makes sure everyone is on page. Will reiterate basic stuff alot so they r engrained into your brain. Tests are RLY EASY, you just HV to do the homework bc it's literally the same. He j wants u to succeed. Very funny too
Grades come from 3 exams (lowest score dropped), a midterm, and the final (do better on the final than the midterm and midterm grade becomes final grade). The exams are really easy! He bases it off of the homework (which is optional) and allows students to use a cheat sheet. His lectures are very example focused. Sweet guy!
Genuinely a great professor. He doesn't cut corners, explains every step of each problem and will go out of his way to answer students questions. No surprises on exams, we spent 2 classes reviewing concepts that would be on the midterm. Don't take him for granted, rarely will you find professors who put in as much effort into teaching as he does.
Mohamad Rezvani is one of the best professor. He explain the concepts clearly and then also discuss the problem in the class with respect to those concepts. He provide a great review of the basic concepts and also provide review for the mid term and finals. His exam are very well designed and he will clearly explain what will be coming in the exam.
Im personally not the best at math, but Mr Mo is one of the best professors at De Anza. Unfortunately I had to withdraw because I was getting cooked (i had like a 60%). He's better than Bourgoub and is WAY better than Guerrero. Overall, I'd give Mo a 7.9 out of 10. He likes to teach, but the content is pretty challenging to grasp. Thanks Mo!
He is such a cool Professor. Expertise in engineering but great in math lecturing. Lenient grader with a ton of extra credit (can be earned during exams). Quizzes and exams are easy. Inspirational in math applications in terms of engineering. Very caring guy, respect every student. TAKE HIS MATH 1A.
Really cool and chill professor. Lectures are really sought through and explains clearly. Knows what he is talking about and shows shortcuts on many techniques. Helps out as much as he can and wants you to pass. Makes the learning process really easy. Makes tests accustomed to while class struggles. Overall really good
Professor Mo is a dedicated teacher who wants students to succeed. While he can be direct at times, his lectures are thorough, and he provides great support through practice tests and detailed feedback. Using unstuckstudy ai and the provided class notes helped me stay on track and do well.
Easy A. His English is sometimes hard to understand, though.
Great professor, definitely take his class he will help you understand the subject incredibly well, he a relatively easy grader and an amazing teacher and lecturer.
Amazing professor! Very patient and his lectures are very useful for the exams.
An amazing professor. Dr. Mo's lectures consist of world/life examples making the learning more enjoyable. He continually encourages students to ask when struggling/need help! Hw is not graded! 3 hr lecture & no breaks! Problems for tests/Midterm/Final are found in the HW/lecture, so you can't get distracted. 3 Tests 1 Midterm (12q) & 1 Final (15q)
Elaborate ratings Difficulty: "Easy" - Example problems in lectures gives steps needed to do homework. Caring: Eager to help students fully understand concepts. Lots Of Homework: Yet, prepares students to see problems written differently. Graded By Few Things: Homework is "graded" by showing understanding to do similar homework problems on tests.
RUN IF UR BAD AT MATH!!! his lectures consisted of only writing on the whiteboard and i struggled writing notes down on time before he erased it. ASSIGNS SOO MUCH HW & he doesnt even post solutions to all of the problems so u cant even know if ur doing it right. i went to his office hours but could only get 10 minutes max with him one on one.
Took in-person F'23. Very good lectures based directly on the textbook, clear and with good examples. A decent bit of homework, but all of it was helpful for the exams. Exams are based off lectures and homework questions, with no trick questions at all (so if you studied you got a good grade).
