Absolutely horrid teacher. He doesn't teach the material properly and doesn't convey his expectations correctly either.
He is a new professor, doesn't know how to teach engineering, and doesn't understands some concepts of Physics himself. Not an easy A class, unless you put the effort into doing homework and working well on the group project assigned.
He is a very smart and knowledgeable man, however due to him being new to America and English, understanding him is difficult. If you have prior knowledge on the subject before taking his class, you will be fine as his homework and textbook heavy lectures walk you through the materiel. However by no means is his class easy, the material is tough.
Hes a good professor that is knowledgeable about the subject but sometimes is difficult To understand due to language barriers. His lecture PowerPoints are clear and reflect on what will be on the test. This class is not an easy A but if you work hard and show up to class it will be.
Really great engineering professor, he is smart and knowledgeable, very helpful and response very quickly to the email. He gave a great lecture. He does 2 / 3 problems solving each class but you must do similar, work hard and do HW, dynamics is not an easy A. challenging and very fair grader. I highly recommend Prof. Belghith.
His lectures are very interesting, and he is always accessible outside of class. The class might be a little challenging for those who have not taken Physics I, as he covers many of the materials covered in Physics I. I highly recommend taking this class while taking Physics I, then the tests would be much easier for you.
Great slides lectures and challenging practices, participation matters with 10 extra points in following exam . All his exams are open notes and he posted all lectures / problems solution in blackboard. Very helpful, he pushed me to work hard and exceed my skills getting an A. Take him, he is the best in NOVA.
Professor Belghith lectures along with a power point. He is smart and capable, but occasionally will make a mistake. He will work out problems on the board and draws his diagrams accurately and neatly. He gives extra credit if a brave student volunteers to do problems on the board from the homework. Homework is assigned from the textbook.
He is a smart and knowledgeable professor and really takes the time to make sure students who put in effort succeed. Take him if you want to learn and excel in engineering.
Great professor who invests time and effort into your success if you are willing to work hard.
Prof. Belghith was a great teacher, and very clearly a seasoned Engineer. His diagrams and explanations are always clear, and he was always willing to answer questions. However, English isn't his first language, so you might get confused by how he says things sometimes. If you put effort into this class, you will do well.
Prof. Belghith is a great teacher. Honestly if you want to learn and you are willing to work, take him. His lectures are on PPT and he works out all problems on the board. Challenging with extra point.
Prof Belghith is a great teacher, above all he likes to see his students succeed. Understanding is the most important thing for his class prove you know the concepts and he'll help you as much as he can. He's also very passionate and knowledgeable about his field. I plan on taking prof Belghith as often as possible.
Great professor, love what hes doing, inspirational and always accessible.
Prof Belghith is the best, smart, knowledgeable and fair grader. I really love being in his class. Take him if you wanna succeed in engineering.
Professor Belghith is my favorit reacher. This class is my third one with him, and it's always a pleasure. I love his teaching style. Amazing lecture. He works out problems and show each single detail on the board. He makes the material very easy to understand. If you show up in class and do your homework, you should be fine.
Great professor and great lecture, explain well and he goes over every single details.
Great professor, smart, explain well and work out a lot of practices in class. Be ready to work hard it is not an easy class.
AWESOME PROFESSOR
He is a very easy professor, easy A+, he really cares the students learning about Engineering instead of grades. Take him if you get the chance, learn a lot about Engineering in his class.
Awsome professor, His lectures are clear. Work out a few practices and answers all questions until you understand. Makes a complex engineering concept seem so easy. He cares about you and your GPA. He is absolutly the best. Take him if you are looking to learn the material and exceed in engineering.
Smart professor
Great and knowledgeable professor. Clear lectures and he goes over every single details when solving problems. Generous grader and always accessible. I will take him Often if I could.
Makes Statics easy to understand. It's not an easy material but he explains and push you until you understand. He gives extra credit on class participation and exams. Accessible and answer emails very quickly. Honestly, he is the best in lectures, practices and grades.
Good teacher, but does have a thick accent that can be hard to understand. Knowledgeable on the subject, but lectures can be lengthy and monotonous. Tests are moderately hard, and overall the class is quite enjoyable for beginners in engineering. He is also a semi-tough grader on group projects, so beware of that and take any criticism literally.
Very good professor, experienced, well mastered his subject. The group project is very interesting. I learned a lot in his class about engineering.
Professor Belghith is a good teacher, knowledgeable and smart. Participation matter in class with extra point. Take him if youre willing to work and wanna succeed in engineering.
He is knowledgeable and skilled professor. What I like the most in his class is when he explains and shows you where and when you could apply each concept by given a real life engineering references and going over every single details. caring and accessible outside the class.
Great teacher, amazing lecture in the beginning and then solving challenging problems. 4 not cumulative exams and HW. Extra points if you participate in class, extra problem in the exams. Take him if you would like to succeed in engineering .
Amazing teacher, hell do his best to help you felling confortable with the material.
Great teacher, smart and knowledgeable, Spend time to explain every single details. I learned a lot in his statics class, I will take his dynamics and materials classes as well.
Best Professor I have ever had, great at explaining and always wants his students to do well and pass. Highly recommend taking him as a professor.
He is a super nice professor. I thought I was going to get a B in the class, but he ended up giving me an A on the final project (which is a big part of the grade) and I ended the class with an A. There is a midterm and a final exam, but he grades them really generously if you show effort. I recommend him since he cares so much about engineering
Very great teacher, dynamics is not easy but he explains so well until it becomes easy to understand. He uploads all slides and HW solutions after each class. Caring, generous and accessible outside the class . Take him if you have the chance.
Best engineering teacher I have ever had. I learned a lot in his class. Explains very well, does a lot of practices and go over every single details. Fair grader, caring and accessible outside the class. I highly recommend Dr. Belghith, take him he is the best.
I have not yet seen a teacher who masters his subject as Dr. Belghith. He knows what he is doing and he transmitted well to his students. It's true that he has a French accent, but he explains so well and will answer all questions until you feel comfortable with the materials. I learned a lot in his dynamics class. Caring and generous grader.
I was a student of Dr. Belghith, I took all my engineering classes with him at Nova Loudoun campus. Since that fall I have been transferred to VT mechanical eng major. I wanted to thank him for the quality of teaching and the good foundation I had in dynamics and materials. This allowed me now to understand very easily the courses at VT. Thanks :-)
Dr Belghith is a nice and caring professor. Knowledgeable and professional. I think more professors could learn from the way he teaches classes, the way lecture is set up, you get a lot of challenging practices and not just lecture with easy application. You get 4 not cumulative exams built fairly with usually 1 extra problem.
I would say, he is friendly, fair and very professional. Genuinely cares about students understanding the concepts he teaches. The class is almost 3 hours long, but he kept up almost the same energy during the entirety of it. He pushed for the class to be interactive and calls on people when they seem to get distracted asking them to stay with him.
Great and caring professor. He wants you to pass and do well. Math may be hard, but he lets you use notes on tests. Biggest thing is trying and the semester project. Start the project asap is my recommendatio. Nothing negative about him except that he has a thick accent. If you show up and just try, he will give you an A. I 100% recommend take him
Professor Belghith is amazing. He's really knowledgable person. He's welling to help all the time. Grades aren't the most important thing, what you understand and your hard work is always counted. Even if you bring a homework late he would still give you credit because he values his students and their work. I will take all my eng. classes with him.
AMAZING PROFESSOR! TAKE HIM WHENEVER YOU CAN! Very fair exams based on homework questions mostly, very generous while grading them. I learned so much from this professor and his energy is amazing. We always had great conversations regarding both school and life.
He is one of the best professors at NOVA. His lectures are kind of boring but he is a really funny person. Also, he accepts all late works. There are two exams that you need to study for them.
Great teacher. Will take again. Highly uuuuhhhh recommend lol (take it and you'll get it)
Professor Belgith is AMAZING. Homework after lecture, two exams. Exams are fairly easy. He cares about his students and welling to help all the time. He likes to see his students successful. He doesn't care about grading as long you show your effort, amazing teacher, will always take him again Always talk to him he will help. His lectures are clear
Professor Belghith is the best professor Ive ever had! I took him in EGR 240,EGR 245. He cares a lot about his students and wants them to succeed.
Prof. Belghith is great! His lectures are good, and he is always ready to answer questions. He grades generously, especially if he knows you are trying. Always ask questions--in class and by email. Tests are based on class examples and homework. Most importantly, he WANTS STUDENTS TO SUCCEED and will work with you to help you do it!!
3 exams and 9 HWs. Each HW assignment takes less than 2 hours. 10 points of EC on each exam. Dr. Belghith teaches in an engaging manner and makes you feel comfortable in class. The exams aren't necessarily easy, but there are no surprises. I did a 7 week course with him and it was still very manageable.
EGR 121 is such a fun introduction to engineering! There is some mathematical maturity involved but you learn a lot and the professor's passion always shines through.
He's a great professor, very nice and respectful to his students. The material is a bit hard though so make sure if you're gonna take this class to be comfortable in math especially calc 1 & 2 since the class is basically all math. Start your group projects asap and don't wait till the last day since it cramps up on you. I would def recommend him!
His lectures are good, he goes over practice problems in class so you can do some of the problems that will be on the homework for that week and see if you messed them up. Group project and 2 tests make up 75% of the grade, so make sure to put effort into those.
Professor Belghith is a professor I would consider taking again. He is punctual and responds to emails promptly. He strives for student participation so dont expect to not pay attention in lecture. The exams are a majority of your grade. He will call them easy but they arent as easy as he says. He is a generous grader though and grades quickly.
Amazing professor. I took him for Solid Mechanics. He makes sure the student has a clear understanding of the content and takes his time. Truly a great depiction of a passionate professor. There should be more professors like him.
The class taught by Professor Belghith was dominate by a group project. It was an extremely difficult project, but it was also the perfect introduction to Engineering.
Teaches by reading off of slideshows. Lectures are content-heavy and without breaks. Homework is graded for completion. Midterm and final are the majority of grade. Easy grader. Not extremely helpful when it came to directing students for the term project. Enthusiastic. Has an accent, but has good articulation. Clearly cares for his students.
Dr Belghith is an amazing professor. Makes material easy to understand. Caring and accessible.
Take him!!!! Honestly best professor at NOVA, he's really nice, and caring. If you understand the homework and lecture you will get an A. He cared for his students and checked up on them and made sure the understood everything.
Only grades are chapter homework's, two tests, and a semester long project. Tests were open note and pay attention to his lectures because they do help. The project isn't that bad just don't do it last minute like others because it never works out like that. Offers extra credit on everything as long as he sees you put effort into it. Very cool guy.
He teaches straight off the PowerPoints, and homework is assigned every week. Only two exams worth 50% of the whole grade. One semester long group project, which can be fun if you have the right groupmates. Gives extra credit when effort is shown. Overall a great engineering professor.
He is a fantastic professor that truly cares about his students. Semester long group project can be fun with the right teammates. Notes are clear and to the point, but don't lack any vital information. Lectures are comprehensive and engaging. Wonderful professor and a fantastic person.
Lectures are an amazing introduction to important math and physics concepts and Dr. Belghith was able to explain these concepts extremely well. Weekly hw is about 4 questions or so about material covered in class. Exams are a reasonable expectation of what you should know. You'll be good if u understand the hw. Group project due at end of semester.
He's the goat, take him.
He's an amazing teacher and gives two exams worth 50%, one project worth 25%, and the homework is worth 25%. The class was entertaining. The project will be difficult with bad group mates. He's a very nice professor, but I wish the project had a rubric to go with it.
Not a fan. Did not answer emails. Exams are 100% harder than any example problem. Did not enjoy his class.
I enjoyed taking EGR121 with Dr. Belghith. He was very caring and understanding. However, I recommend you take the in-person class to get the full experience. It's easier to communicate with classmates in person for the group project. Submit stuff on time so you get good feedback. He is not a tough grader. 1 hw per week, ask for office hours
Amazing professor. Explain material very well and easy to reach out. Caring and respected.
Currently have him for EGR 121, amazing professor, inspires you to do engineering. Teaches well and keeps workload very manageable. 11/10
Amazing professor, easy to reach out and responds to email very quick. Best engineering professor I have ever had. I got him in EGR121 and 240 too, always pleasure to be in his class, explain well, make the material affordable and always willing to help.
He is nice guy, but he doesn't provide feedback, his grading is unfair, not good at teaching. He is ok professor but look for better if you can.
Professor Belghith is amazing, caring and always accessible. Respond email very quick even the weekend. Amazing lectures. Fair exams. Generous grader and gives extra credits if you show effort.
Professor Belghith is the best professor I've had—caring, dedicated, and committed to his students' success. He explains concepts clearly and offers plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Highly recommended!
Professor Belghith was a great professor and one of the best I've had at NOVA. He gives great feedback, is fair with grading, and offers many opportunities for extra credit. He also accepts late assignments if you show effort and dedication to his course. He answers e-mails very quickly, even on weekends. Overall, I would highly recommend his class
Professor Belghith was great and made a class with a lot of difficult concepts make sense. He was always willing to offer help and give useful feedback. I had a health scare and had to turn in an assignment late. After explaining what happened, he was very understanding. I would definitely recommend Prof. Belghith for engineering courses.
Professor Belghith was a wonderful professor, he was very interactive and you could tell he loves his job and cares for his students success. His class is great to learn what field you want to go as an engineer. He doesn't judge anyone on where there knowledge is at and is willing to teach you the correct materials.
I loved Dr Belghith lecture. We learned about essential topics needed for future courses. I feel prepared to take my higher level math, physics, and engineering courses. I think he did a great job of engaging the class and setting us up for success.
Professor Belghith was clear about the 3 exams and the homework was a fair preparation for what you would see on the exams. He was an effective teacher and I was able to learn the material well. I love the structure of the course and the practice that we did in class to be prepared for exams. He's very accessible and approachable.
It was my third class with professor Belghith, he is such a great professor and I highly recommend taking this class with him. I liked learning how materials handle forces and applying it to real-world structures. I also loved the structure of the course and the practice that we did in class to be prepared for exams.
He is a nice professor, but he does not know how to teach. The course curriculum does not teach anything helpful for the project. The exams are open-book, so everyone should be able to pass. You need to design your project using CAD, but they never teach you how to use it. There are two exams, and the second one was hard
HE ROCKS 👍🏻.
Amazing professor and amazing lecture. highly recommend. I learned a lot and the team project was a great experience.
Professor Belghith is very knowledgeable and skilled, makes materials very affordable. Accessible and responds to emails very quickly. Passionate about teaching and always ensures his students fully understand the concepts. He is supportive and encourages questions. His dedication to his students' success truly sets him apart. Highly recommended!
He is a very kind and caring professor. There only 2 exams, the 2nd one is harder than the 1st. But both exams are open book, so it should be easy. He could have explained the project more in my opinion but overall he is way better compared to other professors. Take his class without any hesitation, he also gives extra credit on tests.
I am currently taking his in person EGR245, he's amazing. He takes the time to explain the concepts and answers every single question with patience. He solves all practice problems on the board and goes over every single details, making the material and even challenging problems easy to understand. He's the best engineering professor I've ever had!
He gives extra credit on almost everything and doesn't take himself too seriously. He makes lectures interesting and has the engineering experience to back up the material with real life experience. The big thing to manage during the semester is the group project, but as long as you're consistent with planning you'll be fine!
Super nice guy. Rubric on the final project was a little unclear.
As long as you do assigned work and put effort in, you will receive an A.
Cool guy, I am enjoying his class, explain very well and gives a lot of extra credit if you participate in class.
Amazing lecture. Prof. Belghith explains very clearly and makes the class enjoyable and engaging. He is helpful and supportive. Great professor!
Expect to work hard if you want an A, but he teaches everything you need to know and is very clear about what is on the tests. If you take this course as a once a week, you need to put in time to understand the homework outside of course hours. He is an excellent professor and I would retake as much as I could with him.
