Extremely unclear on his policies, and contradicts himself when asked about them. Lectures directly from the book's examples, and does not leave time for additional questions in class. You'd be better off just buying the book and reading it on your own.
very boring class,he's so unclear but easy, verything from the book, the book sucks, but u have to do the homework to understand the material and take the test, test pretty hard - have to think carefully, can have the sample test to practice, have to be in class for quizzes (some not known before class)
Math is hard, this professor is not. His syllabus clearly outlines the semester, students that didn't read it end up surprised but that's their problem. He's very helpful if you take the time to ask him for help, he keeps office hours every day. He's a facinating guy, I'm glad I took his class.
THIS TEACHER IS GREAT. SOME GUYS ARE RATING HIM VERY POORLY BUT THAT'S BECAUSE HE'S A NEW TEACHER AND THEY LIKE TO PICK AT HIM. HE GOOD. TAKE HIM. YOU WON'T REGREAT IT. HE GIVES YOU REVIEW EXERCISES SO YOU CAN GO HOME AND STUDY FOR THE EXAMS. THAT WAS VERY HELPFUL. YOU COULD TAKE MARINO...HE BAD, ME
Very easy on grading. His lecture is kinda boring becuase math is boring. He announce the sections that will be quiz on.
He explains things very well, and lets you know exactly what is going to be on the test...just don't let your cell phone ring, or he will kick you out!
MATH NAZI!!! this guy repeats everything...so boring but explains well. hates admiting hes wrong. on occasion he assigns people to seats. do your hmwrk and you should be fine.
Don't take this professor. He's unclear and contradictory. Extremely Boring!
hate him with a passion..made me want to drop out of school completely! reads directly from the book and doesn't answer any questions...kicks people out of his class for no reason and just smiles the whole time. quite possibly the worst teacher ever!
He is very good. he teaches somehow that you get the concept very well. He likes to challenge his students and help them to use thier brain, instead of just giving you the answers, which is really helpful and important in math classes. In otherwords he helps his student to believe in their abilities
he's a good nice friendy proff. but he is really boring, you should take this class if you can handle boredum b/c he teaches atraight from the book
Lectures very boring, Test, quizes...easy. He is also an easy grader. Very nice to talk to

Very good, explains everything in simple terms, and helpful. Just follow his directions and you will do well in this class. He is clear in his expectations. although a beginning math class, many people need this information to get by in life, so take his lectures with a grain of salt, it is in your interest to learn this stuff.
AWFUL TEACHER!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Hard accent too...tries to teach the class as if it were foreign...had a lot of foriegn focus.. Perhaps just a new teacher. GW has a bad math dept anyway.........
easy grading. do the work and hang in there. Slack off and you're done
He's a very nice professor! He does teach straight from the book. If you do all your class work, he will be very easy going with your final grade!
I think he's a smart teacher, but don't take his summer class. He lectures too fast and doesn't take the time to answer questions... he just changes the subject to avoid the question. His examples are great, but again, he goes too fast and you forget everything by the next day. If you don't do homework, just drop the class.
Okay let me tell you one thing, Never take a Math class in the summer its just to freakin hard. He's an alright teacher but everything goes by too fast.Sometimes you just lose interest. He's quizes are hard but tests are easy. Also TURN OFF YOUR CELLPHONES. I dont get what part of that ppl dont understand.
Jamaloodeen is A really great math teacher. He really knows his stuff. It is a little hard to take a math class in the summer, but if people would just go home and do the homework and apply everything he teaches, then there shouldnt be a problem at all. His quizes are simple if you just know your stuff. He generally puts one question on them.
First of all, he sounds like Stewie from Family Guy. So it's a little hard to take him serious. He really doesn't explain very well how to do the math problems, you are basicly teaching yourself from the book. Calculus is a hard subject anyway, and it's even harder when you have him as your teacher.
he is one of the worst teachers i've ever had. calculus is not easy but he acts as though you should already know how to do it. he talks very fast, and does not explain things clearly.
Dr. J. is a great teacher. I've never had a teacher who had more passion (especially for math). Clearly one of the best math teachers if not the best teacher I've ever had. Do the homework, don't be afraid to ask questions, and don't worry if you don't do well on the first test. It gets easier toward the end.
OMG really great teacher. He is really easy, i took him in the summer and i didnt do really well on his tests and quizes, but I still got a "B" in his class(i could have gotten an A):( he gives u many opportunities to bring up ur grade. Anyways take him, hes final was sooooooo easy it wasnt even on the whole book.
He is not a really friendly teacher, but his tests and quiz are very easy, take him if you are not major in math and just wanna get a good grade.
you need a lot of patience to take this guy for statistics. i had him the first year he taught at gwc and he was horrible.
Somehow I got an A, and I am a horrible math student! Very annoying teacher, you basically teach him because he always asks ,"correct, uh huh?" he gives you the answers and then asks if you are correct. WIERD GUY!
Talks really fast and at spikey volume(shouts and whispers). Takes the time to help if you ask during break or after class. Unclear during majority of the lecture, though. Basically learn-out-of-the-book type class. All assignments are pre-planned. Do it or you'll get lost quick-like. Not recommended if you hate learning directly from the book.
I agree with the previous person. You are going to be learning from the book because he doesn't exactly teach you how to do the homework problems. He talks really fast and has an accent. If you are good at math then take him, but if math isn't a strong subject for you then avoid at all cost!
Although he teaches at a JC, taking his class feels like your at a university. He is brilliant and the best teacher I have had in any subject, ever. I am so glad I've had a chance to learn from him. If you honestly want to learn the material, he is your best bet. Because of Dr. J I've decided to major math.
He's alright. The guy below took it with him got an A and still complains. Ha! Ha! Feel sorry for all those fellows who have to take it online now. You could've taken it with him or you can now take it online. I would have settled for him. He's not all bad/
He have a good way of teaching but it's kind of hard to follow on the topic of what he talking about lol.
If you are not a mathematics major do not take him. He says he can help you but only during his 1hr a week office hours. If you take him good luck because you will need it.
I dont know what this guy is doing in college. He is an idiot and mean guy. He cant even answer the questions of students and when doing the homework, he always got the wrong answer according to the textbook answers. Never take this class I strongly recommend you.
he might counfuse you sometimes jumping and digressing on subjects, but he gives adequate and precise explanation of the material. the key is: ---- DO YOUR HOMEWORK ----- that's what i learned from him in order to succed in math. PRACTICE, PRACTICE AND MORE PRACTICE... IT'S TRUE.
Weird guy; obviously a mathematician! Overall a good teacher despite an awful book. Tests and quizzes easier than most of the homework (I thought so). Not much partial credit, so check your work! Goes off an tangents that don't make sense sometimes. Gives extra credit exam and drops quizzes. Not an easy A, but an easy pass at the very least.
Dr. "J" is a funny little man, and a great mathetician. He does demand a lot of his students, but he is a fair grader, and he doesn't test you on anything that he hasn't taught. My advice for success in his class: GO TO LECTURE and DO THE HOMEWORK. I am totally bummed that I can't take him again next semester.
He really knows mathematics, and gives clear examples to the class on the best ways in which to learn mathematics. He will stay after class with you, is reasonable about makeup tests, will answers any question you have both in and out of class, and has a sense of humor. He is a doctor, very personable, and does not have an accent to confuse you.
bad teacher!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly, he is not as bad as people say. He is simple and test only on what he has taught in class. Just review the materials alittle bit. (like u should) I am really bad at math and I still managed to ace his tests. Put in a little effort and do not complain and go to the dean about ur grades if you don't study or pay attention...after all its your own responsiblity and willingness to learn.
I took him in the summer. If you learn to use the TI83 calculator in his class you should be ok. The class was fast but he was fair and he helped a lot.
I took this class for interssession. It was 4 weeks and it was very quick. He was very clear and helpful and was happy to help. Take him and if you do your work you should be alrightt
The book is bad. He gave out lecture notes and he used powerpoint lectures that he also sumarized and gave. His exams are from the homework. I got an A and Im not a math whiz
very good professor. It was 4 weeks intersession class. Very quick and lots of students drop. He gives test like the homework and like the example and exercise in the book. No lab in interession but long class from 9 to nearly 4 in the afternoon every day.
very motivated
dude..dr. j's cool. his accent isn't that bad, straight up! try teaching different types of math classes (maybe bad day or what not) and getting everything right. he's not God, he's dr. j..that's it. just relax and laugh a little because dr. j is a funny man, who uses "ah ha, i sense a little dissension in the ranks."....yes or no? ha..ha..get it?
He's a funny guy..that's for sure. The only difficult thing for me is that i learned math differently in high school then how he teaches. Besides that, he's very helpful.
Dr. J is the man!
Great professor! He is extremely helpful and is willing to help anyone that is in need of help.
Worst teacher I have ever had.
His teaching methods are horrible. He is very intelligent and knows his stuff, however, he fails to give that knowledge in an efficient way. Overall his personality is funny but strange. Often one thinks he is preaching rather than teaching...
I made a B in Dr. J's class, after not making a B in math since freshman year of high school. If you pay attention, he's a good professor. If not, you'll fail. Accent isn't horrible, would recommend.
Great teacher! I didn't do anything beyond the assigned work (one assignment a week) to prep for the tests and got an A. He is able to teach the material in a clear and understandable way... show up to class and pay attention is all that's required.
Best teacher ever!! theres no way you will fall asleep in his class! very motivated and helpful. Just pay attention and theres no way you end up failing his class!
A cool guy, but difficult to follow. the only reason I got an A is because i was fresh out of high school a rememeber most of the stuff. Attendance is mandatory and you must pay attention
Very cool and laid back teacher. Has a passion for math. Lecture basically consists of doing problems. Sometimes have daily quizzes. Has online assignments every one to two weeks. Gives out review guide which is literally EXACTLY like the exam. Like this teacher, would take him again. Only need course compass. Rest of class is mediocre in grades.
He is a great professor, listens to the students when in need for extra points on the tests. He gets a bit too excited with the teaching though, which can often be strange for a math class, but over all, great great great professor. I learned a lot in his class.
Decent teacher. very boring, but aren't all math teacher boring? Very helpful overall... attendance is mandatory... i wouldn't take him again though..
He explains things pretty well for you to understand.
I took his class during the summer and got a B, but I could have gotten an A if I tried. He explains the subject matter fully, and if you're having trouble, you can ask him. His lectures are well prepared, concise, and usually error free. If you have questions then he is helpful. If you are serious with your work then he is a good professor.
Dr. J is a very exciting teacher. No need to buy a text book, he gives great a great lecture and notes. Take full advantage of practice tests and homework.
Dr. J is awesome. He is very good at getting the material across to students. He doesn't take attendance; however, if you don't go to class it is very likely that you will fail. He doesn't require a textbook, but you do need mathlab. Homework and paying attention in class are the main things you have to do to pass this class!
Dr. J is a wonderful professor. Enough said.
Horrible Professor! He would avoid answering questions and he doesn't treat students the way they should be treated. We pay him to be our teacher and he isn't helping at all! If you want to get an A don't take him!
Dr. J is a great math teacher. He teaches concepts with simplicity and clarity. I usually fear math but his teaching technique helped calm all my fears and I passed college algebra. Class attendance is a must - as he always might have surprise quizzes.
he is a nice guy, but a horrible teacher. doesnt speak clearly because of accent. speaks in mumbles or shouting, and when he is in between, you still can't understand him. by the time he is through talking i am more confused than when he started. nice guy, fair grading, but all in all, he is awkward, unclear, and not interactive at all.
Dr. J was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. At the beginning of the semester he was happy and easy, then he started to change. He called a student unprofessional for not stapling a test review (on the same review he posted a answer key that was over 50% incorrect). He picked on a student who asked questions. Avoid if possible.
Dr. J is a hard professor. Honestly, I went into his class as a slacker, but I came out as a hardworker. His toughness yet positive attitude set me straight. Because of him, I'll be the first black male in my family to graduate and go on to get a graduate degree. I needed a hard teacher to get through my hard head, lol. I respect him A LOT!
Goes through material fast; half explains it. Just solves problems on board. Tests/quizzes are hard. Does give warning about quizzes. HW extensive; especially if you dont know material. Is very animated-shouts. Not very helpful. Didn't learn a thing. Must show up for class. Book not used in class. Need $100 calc to do well on hw/tests or u won't.
Not a great communicator. Needs to learn how to actually communicate with some of these people. Somewhat nice but a bit arrogant to those who question him. Mixed feelings on him. Not quite sure waht to think.
I don't know why people complain about him. He helped me get through the class.
Dr. J is one of the most enthusiastic professors that I have ever had. He is loud though, so make sure you are prepared for that! His tests were average difficulty, but if you prepare using the material he provides then you will be set. I enjoyed his course and I would take him again for another math course if I had the chance.
He's awesome. All you have to do is ask for help!
If you have any other option, please do not take this course. This professor was little to no help. He has a very condescending attitude, and is not very friendly. If your good at math and don't care about personality then go for it. But,if you want to succeed, go with a professor who is willing to help you.
I am currently in Dr. J's Precalc class and he is absolutely amazing. He is enthusiastic and extremely willing to meet and help with anything. I absolutely LOVE him and I wish other professors were half as entertaining as he is. I would love to take additional math classes with him. He is a genius and should be applauded for the "show" he puts on!
Dr. J was an amazing math professor, and I am terrible at math. He is very willing to help and he makes sure everyone is involved during classes. He learned everyone's name and would call on them to get them involved, annoying but helpful. He has a mild accent, but I had not trouble understanding him. Take him! He's amazing!
Dr. J said his summer classes are more fun. He is enthusiastic about teaching and tries to make the class fun. Calc 2 is REALLY hard (for me at least) and his tests aren't that easy. However, he is lenient on grading and allows you to make up points. He also drops homeworks, quizzes and tests. Remember, it's math, so make sure you study everyday.
He was so energetic! He has the coolest analogies in order to help you understand the subject matter. I took him over the summer and although I was take Organic Chemistry and Biology I still managed to do pretty well in his class. The test are reasonable if you do your homework you should be fine.
Easy A, although you probably won't learn much, if anything. Tests came directly from lecture, and are poorly written. Curved the class a lot as well as dropped 3 lowest grades. He isn't that knowledgeable and sucks at explaining things. No help at all outside of class.
Look, the guy is nice, and funny at times. But his teaching skills are terrible, he'll just solve some equations, point at the board a lot, say "exactly" and expect you to get it right off the bat. He also has an accent, and while I didn't mind it, it could get in your way. Good guy, terrible teacher.
Probably the worst math professor at GGC. He doesn't use the book and misses key components that are necessary to solve the problems. You will learn absolutely nothing during his lecture and leave his class extremely confused.
Calc 2 is a difficult subject, but this professor is by far the most energetic and passionate teachers at GGC. He makes really great analogies that anyone can easily remember. I highly recommend for anyone to take him.
At the beginning of each class Professor Jamaloodeen would give us quizzes, that felt more like exams. When I asked for help in his class, I was given eye rolls and a rude response. If you have any other option, do not take this Professor's course. He is very condescending and rude, and he will not make any effort to help you pass the class. Beware
Didn't use the best examples. Lectures weren't organized very well. Gave quizzes that weren't fair representations of his lectures. Gives study guides that look extremely close to the exams. Not saying he's a bad professor, he just didn't suit what I was looking for in a math professor
I got an A but I had to work hard for it. Awesome professor. If you do all the exercises from the papers he post, then you are ready to score an A too. Everything he puts on the "boards", everything you put on your notebook. Notes are very important. If you are a math major then you must take this class!! Good luck!
He is not an easy A, you have to work for it but if you try there's is no way not to get an A. Defianetly would recommend him, he knows what he is teaching!
Calc 2 sucks. Dr. J makes it bearable, witty, but very fair in his grading and expectations of the student. He is like that crazy smart math teacher from the movies, who should be doing some other job than trying to explain things to kids who don't really want to understand the material. Anyways, clear criteria for tests and tests are 90%
Dr J. is one of the most enthusiastic professors I've met. He's very funny and very interactive with his students. BUT be warned he doesn't give any formula sheets. His stance on that - you will be forced to learn and understand the material more without any formula sheets (I agree with that logic). He also gives life advice which is interesting.
This is a really, really hard class because of how fast paced Dr. J is, but if you work really hard (hours outside of class), you'll pass.
Don't take this class unless you wanna fail. He did a horrible job teaching and would go too fast for you to catch up. Quizzes every other day!!!
dr. J is one of the coolest professors ive ever had. i got an A+ in his mini mester course of calc 2. He wants to see you succeed. show that you think the class is cool (because it is) He is even willing to help you when you are no longer in his class.
I am a transient student , and Dr. J is the best math professor I had in the past three/four years. He is very enthusiastic about his job, and there are ton of example problems to do after class. If you think this class is bad, for those students who are gonna transfer out of GGC,I will say you haven't seen "worst" yet. Dr. J is the best!
First, I want to say Go Dawgs! Dr. J is a strict grader. He has a good sense of humor, but be prepared to work your a -$$ off to get a good grade in his class. Quizzes every class and you can go to his office hours if you get stuck like me.
Dr. J is easily the best math teacher I have ever had. I hadn't taken calc 1 since high school and took calc 2 with him as a junior in college. He makes a very difficult subject easily understandable to all. He is a tough grader but you put in the time and effort you should be well prepared for his tests and quizzes if you take good notes!
Please be aware! If you want to fail, take him. He deducts points for the most minute things. He definitely wants you to fail, I'm convinced his sole purpose is to help you fail his class. Please be sure you are a math wiz if you want to take his class. As for the rest of us who are actually trying to learn math, he doesn't have time for us.
This was my 5th semester in college with a 4.0, and this is the first class I've ever dropped. He came across as very rude and disrespectful. He said several times that the textbook was unnecessary and then criticized me for not reading ahead. I never knew what he wanted, and thank goodness I will never have to try to figure him out again.
HONEST REVIEW: First of all, Dr. J is a good professor to some people, but not including myself. Here's why. Everyone is different in their math skills and comprehension . As for me, I lacked a lot of the fundamentals of Algebra. If you don't have that at least, it WILL be hard to pass the class. Learned the hard way. I wouldn't recommend him.
Dr. Mohammed is the greatest professor to bless Religious Studies SD sta. He is an unbiased master of the three Abrahamic texts and knows how to explain the chronological link between them to show how much there is in common, as well as disproving attempts to misinform the public. Class usually got intense and you really never knew what to expect.
Dr. Muhamad Jamal 3 exams, all open book. This class is all done on Excel. He has patience with people who are new to Excel. You do problems in class and solutions are posted online. Exams are JUST like practice probs. Its open book, so use it! You will need to purchase My stat lab and It lab, both $75 bucks. You NEED LAPTOP for class. Take him,
Dr. K actually cares about your grades (well in my case he does) but I just HATE the Aleks online learning system. It's extremely difficult and frustrating. Also, be sure to study for the final because it covers EVERY single lesson and is worth more than half of your final grade.
How this guy has a 3.5 is beyond me. I studied my anus off and I still never felt like I would do well in this class from the beginning. First day - "Textbook, MML is useless/I don't want to fail you." Takes off points on the tests for things he didn't even give us instructions to do. Only have 4-5 tests and a few quizzes. He doesn't grade homework
Material isn't too hard, it's the way he grades the tests and quizzes. He takes points off for stuff like not explaining your answers when he doesn't even tell you which questions require an explanation. He teaches as if we know this stuff already or we're mind readers. He's apparently never wrong, and if you thinks so, he'll say talk to the dean.
Yup test heavy. Homework optional. Doesn't grade.
He knows math. Don't know what the guy's below me are complaining about. Test instructions "This exam consists of 8 questions, each worth 6 points, for a total of 48 points. All work must be shown. Answers without proper justification will be given little or no credit. Unless stated otherwise, all answers must be exact ..."
Exams are super hard! lectures are poor, I dont even think he understands the material.
Do not take his class, unless you want to waste both money and time.
Good luck
Few teachers can keep me awake in an 8AM math class, but Dr. J is one of them. Especially if he walks in with coffee, you need to sit down, shut up, and pay attention or it'll fly right over your head. On tests, show all work for full credit, and read each question carefully. He is difficult but he is fair, and don't be afraid to ask him for help.
Dr. J!!! He's a cool dude! The subject is hard! You MUST pay attention and STUDY in order to do well in this course. He is very enthusiastic about teaching. He does sometimes get tripped up over his own slides, but he is very knowledgeable in the subject. Don't hesitate to ask questions. He'll make you look stupid but you'll learn from it for sure!
I absolutely LOVE Dr. J. Math has never been a strong subject for me but he taught in a way that actually made perfect sense. He didn't just give us the quadratic formula and tell us to just plug and chug. He showed us HOW it was derived and WHY it's important. His class truly changed my perspective on math. & He will meet outside of class to help!
Dr. J is an AMAZING prof! He grades fairly, his teaching tactics are easy to grasp, & he will answer all questions. Please take these negative reviews with a grain of salt & don't be afraid to enroll in his course. I am flourishing under his instruction! However, if you don't want to learn & expect shortcuts, enroll in someone else's course.
CALC2 is not an easy subject, but VERY POSSIBLE. Dr. J was able to simplify the information and make it so exciting! He's very animated, and can be very tough on you- You will have to memorize all formulas, methods, rules etc. You are expected to remember all math previous from the class, tests are only 5-10 questions long (free response). MML big
Dr. J has his own teaching style that can be a little overwhelming at first. He is very energetic and bold when teaching and if you ask a question he will most likely embarrass you in front of the class but you will learn from it. He is very smart and teaches you the reasoning behind the math but doesn't do tons of examples in class.
He is an intelligent man but teaching isnt the job for him. Your grade is basically calculated over three tests. Dont do well on one of them and you are done for the whole semester. Had to withdraw. I wouldnt recommend at all.
he was a good professor. he made learning fun by being funny, he made precal easy to understand, and would answer your questions as best as he could. he has a heavy accent but you just have to really be listening to make out what he's saying, and if you don't he also works out the math as simply as possible. great professor.
You WILL need to learn the material outside of his class. Anytime anyone would have a question, he would just quickly make fun of them and carry on with his confusing lecture without answering anything. Then he'd proceed to give you a HW assignment matched with a quiz for the following class period on what he 'thinks' he taught you. Very lively tho
AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID. he's awful. he didnt even teach cuz he cant. just had pre recorded lectures that explained almost nothing and if you wanted to go in depth (which you need to because his homework difficulty does not match his lectures), you definitely need to do outside research. have a question? prepared to be told "it's common sense"
Dr J did not acclimate to online teaching well. I have gotten an A in every single one of my classes except once before. This will be my second B. He is very unclear as to what the material is that you will be graded on, it is almost as if he just does not care about his students. Do not take him if you care about your GPA, cause he doesn't care
The professor is very vague with everything. His grading is not very clear and he take off points for things that are correct with little to no explanations on why its wrong. You ask about it? His reply is its found in the question. There is also a lack of communication during scheduled BB meetings.
3 weeks into the class the professor drop me. He said I wasnt attending but that is untrue. I emailed him about the issue trying to get back in that class. He claims he doesnt think Ill be able to catch up. I didnt understand because its only been 3 weeks of school. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!!! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!!
Syed Jamal is one of the best math professors at Phonix. He helped me understand algorithms in discrete math very well.
Nice guy, but makes you feel stupid for asking questions. His exact response is typically, "were you even paying attention!!?" when you in fact were, he was just super scattered when trying to teach the concept. He also has 1 question quizzes, and 4 question tests. So it is really easy to make one bad grade and not be able to recover.
This professor is horrible. If you enjoy 1 question quizzes that are unannounced and 4 question test, this class is for you. If you miss one question on a test, that is 75%. He does preprepared PowerPoints that don't show step by step solutions. I wouldn't recommend taking this professor if you care about your GPA.
he's just lazy. 0/10 do not recommend
Not actually teaching the class seems to teach as if you already know the information. Not helpful when you ask questions. Just directs you to online work and doesn't explain anything.
30 percent of the total grade will be taken from 3 in class exams in which only 5-7 questions will be given. So if you get bad in them...suppose you get 3/5 questions right then also you'll only get 70 percent. And there are no extra credit or bonus points/ questions. He only increases 5 percent lmao. Lectures are mostly clases from the ppt.
WORST PROFESSOR EVER. my experience with this professor has been extremely disappointing. Throughout the course, I found the grading to be excessively harsh and inconsistent. I believe there is a significant need for improvement in both grading practices and teaching methods Feedback on assigments was often limited and unhelpful.
WORST PROFESSOR EVER. The professor isn't doing a good job of making the class interesting or helping students learn. The professor's attitude can be a problem. Not good at communicating with students.
If you are seeing this run away find some other prof but him. Your grades are definetly going to drop after taking his class. He doesn't care about anything and hardly 5 students attend his class.
Despite what people have to say about him he is actually a very good professor and he cares, as long as you take the time to do the work and show up to class you will be fine. Yes is test are only a few questions but if you understand the material or talk to him he will help you. He does make you work for a good grade but he is amazing.
Had to drop out of his class cause i couldn't understand anything. He reads from the prepared ppt in the class and expects us to understand what he is teaching.
Professor Jamaloodeen is amazing, his class is difficult and you need to put in the work to get results. But as long as he see's you doing you work he will help you out and explain anything you may need help in. He is always available for office hours and he will make sure you understand the topic.
Dr. J is silly and harsh sometimes, but honestly if you have trouble doing statistics do NOT take his class. Most of his lectures are online and when he teaches he doesn't makes sense sometimes.
I didn't like him at all. He posts a bunch of lectures and powerpoints that have nothing to do with the assignments. The work was easy only because its pretty much what u learned in high school. I basically did the work based off my high school knowledge. If you aren't good at math AT ALL pls do not take this class.
He was a normal professor, I wouldn't say he was memorable or anything but he isn't mean at all. The fact that I failed is completely my fault because I thought the class was super easy at first so I slacked off to work on other classes. Huge mistake. He gives you different ways to succeed like videos for every lesson and hw. Quiz every Friday tho.
Many times, when I would ask a question, he would make me feel stupid and yell. He made class time very unproductive. In addition, there were no opportunities to practice problems or with classmates. Also, I would constantly feel unprepared for the tests due to this, having to learn everything at home.
Be prepared for very difficult tests in Math 1401
Honestly wish I had dropped this class when I had the chance. In person quiz every week, no class time with peers to understand lecture, reads off of powerpoint, etc. Not a great class to take if you're not good at Math. Assignments and online quizes helped a little, but he meshes it all into one grade so it doesn't do much to your overall grade.
