Is your major is math take this professor. Test is hard, practice test google for answers.
He is extemely tough. However, he is very fair and will help you if you ask for it. This is not a walk in the park class. You do have to study and be there. His homework is very different from his test. Knowing geometry for this class will help you, but it is not required.
Ganjizadeh, was an awsome teacher would recommend him to anyone that is wanting to suceed in math.
Great teacher! Brings ethusiasm everyday. He loves to teach and is extremely fair. He understands that math is a chalenging class for most students so he never makes you feel bad when your struggling to understand the material. Bottom line, if you are there and do the work his class is a good experience.
Took for cal III. One of the best profs I have ever had. Super helpful. The way he structures his grades will allow for errors. A bad grade on a test will not fail you. He teaches application, which suites me best. I would gladly take him again.
great teacher. can be hard to understand because he talks so fast. either than that he is great.
Professor is clear in his teaching, I've had a lot of math professors, but he goes out of his way to make sure you understand the material. Show up to class, pay attention, do homework, and you will pass. Funny guy too, if you are a math major, take him, you will thank yourself for doing so later, as his teachings are clear.
Seriously one of the worst math professors I've ever had. He uses powerpoints to teach, his over-abundant amount of homework have nothing to do with the tests. When he does write on the board it's extremely hard to understand his chicken scratch. He spends way too much time on the computer teaching software and how to use the calculator.
Prof Ganji Is An Amazing teacher!! i Highly Recommend Him, His Class Is Very Knowledgable, He Actually Takes Time To Get You To Understand He Moves at A Class Pace, Meaning He Make Sure Everyone Has The Material Before Moving On And if You Still Have Trouble He's Always Willing To Provide Help In His Office Whenever is Best For You!
Very Helpful Teacher, im Nt Very Good in Math Bt Taking His Class Made Me Understand Math More Then i Ever did in Hghschl As Long As You Do My MathLab & Take Notes,The Test Will Be A Breeze, This Is a Class That You Have To Attend And A Book Is Required But We Hardly Used it Because Any Questions Out The Book, He Wrote On The Board, Great Teacher!
Tests are very hard. Hard to pass yourself, if you show him you work hard he will pass you. I dropped b/c I didn't know that at the time.
I'm grateful to have had a teacher who is as knowledgeable about real world applications as this he is. He is tough, and expects you to do the homework before coming to class. He is also very fair, and if you can hang until the end of the coarse, he will reward you.
He is very good teacher. He is helpful and you can get an eassy A if you keep up with him in the class. If you need help just visit him at his office and he will make understand everything that you don't understood it. Take his class because he is the best teacher.
Mr. Ganji is a great professor! He gives out alot of quizzes, in the end of the semester he would let us take home the quiz. You have to do your homework before going to class so you can understand what he is talking about! He can cover the material pretty fast, but if you do not understand it, you can go to his office for help!
He is a very good professor. He knows his job very well and motivates the students throughout his class. Do not hesitate to take any math courses with him. unforgetable experieence!
This professor knows his stuff and know how to pass it in to others take his course you won't regret it he will help u when asked very friendly wonderful man! Take him!:)
Professor Ganji is one of the best professors I've ever had. He tends to move a bit fast, but doesn't mind re-explaining a concept. He gives out a lot of assignments, but it's good practice and provides cushion if you bomb an exam. You will learn to appreciate his unforgettable jokes when it comes to studying for exams. He grades very fairly!
Great Professor! One of the best ever for math. Super clear and knowledgeable. He doesn't like slackers or people who just show up and not pay attention. Took Cal III a year and a half ago with him and remembered I never reviewed him. Can't recommend him enough.
As a professor, as a leader, as a man, and as a friend, he is of the highest kind, quality, and order. I have yet to encounter a teacher who cares about the success of each student to this extent. Highly Rec. You will have to work hard, very hard. But you will be motivated to succeed and fulfill your highest potential. plus he is pretty hilarious!
A very knowledgeable teacher. Does a better job explaining things than most. He genuinely wants you to learn and goes out of his way to give you ample opportunities to do so. Because of this, he does assign a lot of homework. His tests are pretty serious, but his questions are never designed to trick you. Gives partial credit on missed problems.
He basically has 5 tests drops the lowest one and he copies most of the questions from the book. He gives mymathlab homework and does not have any quizzes. I personally would never taken him if i knew that i had to learn by myself because he doesnt go over homework until the last days so be ready to learn by yourself as he is not a good teacher
Dr. G. gave 50 question online quizzes every other week. Did not prepare for lecture and routinely made mistakes, while teaching . He worked to few examples during class because he insisted on doing extra stuff that is not on the district syllabus even though we did not have time for it. Does not curve or drop grades, horrible tests.
This online class was not a walk in the park, you really need to study and make sure you're keeping up with the concepts! Its all on mymathlab, and he gives you deadlines to meet. Usually a week to do 4 -5 sections of homework and then a test following. Although, I would not recommend taking calculus online if you're an engineering major.
Professor Ganjizadeh was amazing. He will work with you as long as you are upfront and honest. His emails to the class made me think he wouldn't truly be helpful, but he worked with me when my laptop bit the dust and encouraged me.
Hands down, the nicest and most helpful professor I've been able to take. Concepts, concepts, concepts. If you listen to the man, study on your own time, and understand the concepts of the topic, you will walk out with an amazing future for further math classes. If you're major is big on Math, do yourself a favor for the long run and take him.
I took him because he was the only teacher who had calculus 2. To be honest it was the hardest semester I have ever had. But I truly understand all concepts I learned from the class. If you want to LEARN, take him; and if you just want to pass a class with good grade and don't care about what understanding concepts, please choose someone else.
The hardest class I've ever taken. Very smart professor, fair yet firm, but man the class is tough. Tremendous amounts of homework. Fast-paced and expects you to know everything coming in. I would not recommend to anyone with anything less than a strong work ethic and excellent Calculus I skills, otherwise this class will destroy you.
WARNING DONT TAKE! His class is 3x harder then other calc 2 classes in the tccd system. Cant follow all his shortcuts & explains nothing. His class will consume about 9 credits of equivalent time. Ridiculous amount of hw. Expects u to use Maple with no help. Doesn't reuse tests. No equation sheets. Awful class. Take Brignac or make bad choices.
He is very helpful. I took this class followed by the Aleks program but he was always helping you and the way he explained math with examples made it so much easier to remember! I was not good at math but i feel so much more confident on the subject! Oh and he is funny!
Professor Ganji is the best out there. He's hilarious, brilliant, conceptual in his teaching style, yet he will make you apply what you learned. Believe me, this is the funnest part! He hands out tests every chapter, and the final at the end is comprehensive but online and open-book. Work hard during the semester and the final will be easy.
Good professor, explains each subject conceptually before getting into the math, but his class is way too difficult, I passed Calculus II with an A and barely passed his Cal III class with a C- just to give some perspective. Beginning of every class you have a quiz over the material you just covered and homework over every subject due every week.
Real good professor, explains every subject of the course thoroughly and explains the concepts well, but his class is very work intensive so you earn every point of your grade. Quizzes every class over the material you just covered so you have one day to learn the material, a lot of HW, but I feel I learned a lot more cause of how hard it was.
Took Prof. Ganjizadeh's online summer 5 week course and it was a breeze! He let everyone start the course early to help take off some of the heavy weight before the content became more difficult. I am terrible at math, but the course material was very helpful and straightforward. He does NOT give tests through ProctorU... all through my math lab.
TAKE HIM TAKE HIM TAKE HIM I don't really like math and he explained everything great and if you still didn't get it he doesn't care if the entire class gets it, he will help you understand then move on with everyone as a whole. Homework online, worksheets with examples of the lesson in class, and if you do the homework you'll pass the test!
He is THE COOLEST lecturer ever and this is unsolicited feedback. He allows you to do quizzes in pairs just to make sure you understand. You'd rather ask him than cheat in an exam. You can't go 30 minutes without laughing. There is a good chance that he will know your name. He marks really fast. He is very caring generous and fair with his marking.
This professor is hilarious, and attending class is actually fun. Beyond being funny, this class was TERRIBLE. Zero structure when teaching (never knew what you were actually doing). Constant mistakes that cause you to learn something incorrectly. Ridiculously difficult take home quizzes every class, plus TONS of hw. Only two tests, both VERY HARD.
Make it so hard for no reason.
Cal III is a terribly hard class but i doubt there's a more caring cal 3 professor at UTA. he does great explaining for deeper understanding when he's not making mistakes. sometimes he'll go too fast. But no other professor will prepare you for an exam like him. He will give GOOD hints that follow through but you can bet its gonna be hard.
Does not respond to emails in a timely manner, this is especially important when taking online classes but he failed at this. I was on my own the entire time. There is ALOT of HW! I spent so many hours doing HW just for this class. RIDIC. Only good thing was he lets you finish the class early but didn't really help since he doesn't respond timely.
I took MATH1314 with this professor online for Spring 2018. He emailed the class to say that he expected to see weekly progress, otherwise marked absent and 3 absences led to a drop. Only 6 homework assignments and 3 tests, plus final exam. Skipping final exam means at best a D grade. Sent email reminders out about due dates for homework and exams.
He is a very laid back Professor, do the work and you will pass. There are 4 homework assignment, 3 quizzes and 1 final. He gives you a whole month to do the Homework and it is through mymathlab. He takes attendance based on if you worked that week.
He is one of the best instructors. This class is not hard if you really study. He wants students to learn, and he helps as much as he can. I recommend his class for everyone who really wants to learn.
Awesome :) I took his Spring 8 weeks class. I was very nervous about my online class but I made A . Just follow his instructions , watch the videos and do your all homework . Practice more and more Easy A. He response the emails if you need any help. No proctored exams. He is the best..
Took his online 8 week course and I shouldn't have. Learning algebra online after being out of school for a long time was a mistake on my part. This professor is average. Not sure how much he cares about his students, probably minimally, based on his e-mails. He did not proctor any tests, but they were still brutal.
He is an amazing and best math instructor at TCC. His lectures are amazing, and each and every assignments in his class are important and very helpful. Cal 3 is not easy, but the way he teaches it, makes it easy to understand. He always try to keep everyone on track. He helps as much as he can. He is accessible outside class. Recommended!
Professor Ganji took on this class last minute, it had to be taught online during the Maymester with the Covid-19 crisis, and I am so GLAD he did! You can tell he has not just knowledge of math but a passion for it! I am not a strong math person, I got a C barely in College Algebra, but I got a B in this class due to his effort and hard work!
This professor was amazing! My first time ever taking a summer course and I was a little bit scared because it was Math but he made it manageable. I would recommend him to other friends
My experience was pretty terrible. I took a 5 weeks course because another post said it was a breeze and I've taken several 5 weeks courses before. IT WAS NOT A BREEZE. He expected us to start a month before the class, hardly communicated, and was very terse when he did. I basically taught myself all the material and the test were brutal.
Due to everything being online some classes have become harder to teach. So I was afraid how this class would go but taking it with Prof Ganjizadeh he made it a breeze. If a student did understand something he would post a video that he makes about it. That helped a lot because there are some Prof who don't care and I've had that before; not fun.
I have nothing good to say about this professor!!! DO NOT TAKE HIM! HE LITERALLY DOES NOT CARE FOR HIS STUDENTS!!!!
This class was awful to take. The tests were hard and were NOT multiple choice, except for 1 of them. There were 6 homework assignments which were easy, and there were 4 tests (including the final). No extra credit. You really have to study hard especially if you want to pass and make a good grade.
What he teaches doesn't apply to the hw and tests. And the way he teaches is highly confusing. Class is basically self taught. Don't take! Unless you can teach yourself.
Basically self taught with the online resources. That being said he is available to help through an app and is very willing to do so. The math website used for the class has a lot of resources that are helpful but if math isn't your strong suit be ready to work for your grade.
One of the most passionate math teachers I've ever had the pleasure to be a student under. I will say that you have to work hard for your grade but hes gives you all the resources you need to do really good. There are 6 total homework assignments on Pearson and the tests are identical to the questions on homework making them really easy.
The worst professor I have had at this school so far. He did not follow his own syllabus. He decided to use edfinity for hw instead of canvas. Then the tests did not even match what we were practicing on edfinity. And were excessively hard and would take 3+ hours for less than 10 qs. His lectures all over the place, makes constant mistakes, yells
You should definitely do the work he assigns before class and really pay attention to his lectures also don't forget to utilize office hours. He's a pretty funny guy and pretty cool to talk to.
One of the hardest and most difficult teachers i have ever took. His homework's and tests are not the same, they are difficult and confusing. This class is mostly self-taught and I would not wish this class upon my worst enemy. His teaching style is very unique but its not for most people.
I'm not good at math as reflected by my grade. If you just keep up with your work, and teach yourself about the problems faced in the homework, you should be fine. The homework is practically a completion grade, but the tests are pretty hard. I barely passed.
The most passionate math teacher that I've ever seen. Works hard for every lecture. There is absolutely no way to fail this class unless you are lazy. His tests are similar to homework questions. If you pay attention during class, do the homework, and understand the homework you'll be fine. You are lucky if he is teaching the class you need.
Ganji assigns homework on pearson, which are completely identical to the tests except the final. To get an A, do the homework and make sure you know how to solve them because the tests are just the same questions but with different numbers. His lectures were hard to follow, but you don't really need to pay atttention to it. Just focus on the HW.
Was hard to understand and keep up with. Is very strict with cellphone rules and forces you to participate. His teaching style was very sloppy and just not fun or comfortable to attend. He was also very overwhelming with the work you have to do. I put in effort but it really wasn't worth it in the end.
His lectures sometimes will not make sense due to his accent or because they are so long and windy that you forget what you were originally learning about. If you have to take his class, go to lectures, take the name of each topic he talks about, and watch and review it at home. Tests are a bit hard for him too.
He would discuss topics that did not apply to what we were learning. Expected you to come up with and do your own problems to study for the test because the ones in the homework were too "easy". Also at times would shout at students for looking at their phones and threaten to call campus police to take their phones.
Mr. Ganjizadeh is a good guy. I took MATH 1324, which was easy breezy. The tests/quizzes are proctored, but he gives excellent study guides with answers that will prepare you for them just fine. You get multiple retakes on a lot of the quizzes. He appreciates recognition, so email him a thank you if you're into that and want brownie points.
Tough professor, his online homework's are nothing like exams; he will deduct points if you have more than three questions on a paper hw, which is crazy; his accent is sometimes difficult but it can work; he will call you out if you make mistakes on accident, Overall, avoid him if possible
he is a very very hard professer please do not take this teacher
The worst class I have ever taken. His amount of work is unreasonable considering you have one assignment with 50 questions PER DAY. On top of that you get unhelpful videos. You are basically on your own if you get this terrible professor.
If you take this professor beware of the loads of work and hard tests. Exams are not proctored
DO NOT take this professor for an online class at least. Worst college experience I've ever had. The entire first week of class (which was supposed to be review partially) the program he uses instead of actually teaching his class was completely non-functional, only for him to be indignant towards students. I would write more if I had the space.
Very unhelpful and indignant towards students, the least understanding professor I've ever had. The program he uses is not very helpful in teaching and had to pay out of pocket for it when it was supposed to have already come out my tuition. I've never had a problem with algebra before this class.
The website he uses for his course is alright by most means. Emails when an upcoming test is with reasonable time. However, there has been copies of said test which are graded with no notification. Doesn't respond to emails, when he does it's with a big delay. Been stressing about a test that showed up with no alert already marked late. No response
Professor Ganji's lectures was the best experiences I had the pleasure to attend. He makes learning math fun, and tries to find ways that math can be relatable in the real world. He offered extra credit as a means to try and get everyone to pass his class. If you are going to take college algebra please take his class!
Do not take his online class. He doesn't know how to work a computer. His Canvas page is insanely disorganized and has lessons that are not related to the homework. The first two or three units had no lessons. The website he uses is what you have to learn from, but it is not good at teaching. He also constantly changes due dates.
This professor has been the worst professor that I've ever taken. He's changed his syllabus more than once and he's given us quizzes out of no where without any warning. work is very un organized and his communication is bad . He yell to get u to understand things but it only makes it more confusing. I've had difficult classes and better teachers.
This professor is all over the place. jumps between problems. He would start class 5 mins before the actual time and kept us 2-3 mins after class officially ended. He was hard to approach. and when missed class due to a death in the family he responded to me with an email about the drop 6 rule. I do not recommend him.
His teaching style is difficult to follow. He makes up numbers as he goes and will go back and change them randomly to make sense of it when they don't add up. He also makes many mistake when teaching/ giving quizzes. He will say the wrong thing many times and confuse lots of students. He also gives tests out almost every class
When he go over lectures or a question he starts yapping and getting off topic on what he originally was talking about. He has a super strict cellphone policy as if we are not adults and is in high school, and he also will threaten to call the police on you if he sees you on your phone for any reason which is ABSURD!
be prepared to have so many lectures that don't make sense. multiple online assignments that don't line up with the lesson plan. he'll also threaten to call the police on you if he sees your phone.
Teaches in a way that will leave you confused. If you email him (especially when he asks you to email him) he won't respond and or will flat out ignore your email. Was advised to take this course due to it being easy. This course with this professor was anything but easy. Be ready to teach yourself.
This professor would refuse to relate the homework on ALEKS to work in the class, constantly hooped between problems and changed numbers throughout, and was constantly raising his voice for nothing more than emphasis. Would threaten to call the police if he saw your phone, and would not communicate. Does not care about his students. Do not take!
Please save yourself and don't take this class. His lectures make no sense and his homework is nothing similar to what he teaches in class. Also super strict on phones, he's even threatened to call the police if you have it out.
Do not take this class if this will be your first college math class. very hard to keep up with his lectures, and will still leave you confused when you ask for help. Also the homework system is very confusing as well.
DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!! When he talks about anything, he leaves you more confused. Don't bring your phone out because he will call the police and have them escort you out of class. In one of his lectures, he said that 5+3=2...... Because of the base number. I would never suggest him. If he is your last option, then wait and take math next semester.
If you know how to run please do!!
Moves too fast, as well as giving bad examples of things said in lectures
he doesn't teach. he encourages ai use instead of helping. he is very confusing when he give you help (he doesn't give clear instructions) he will go through the whole question and try teaching you a whole new way of doing the work instead of telling what you messed up on. which can be good in certain cases but not the way he does it.
Think twice before taking this class to save your self time and money. This proff. teaching style is confusing ,he always gets lost teaching a lesson. He forgets how to solve what he has on the board and is ALWAYS making mistakes that students have to often catch up, this causes confusion .Be ready to teach your self and to attend to MathLab after.
Run. He said he's not there to really teach you, he said he can just give the material and we learn it on our own. Super confusing and at the end of the semester about half of our class dropped it.
