This guy is great, had him for Stats 1 and 2, and has a great personality. He is a very funny guy. He may be small but he packs a lot of punch.
awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful awful and AWFUL

He's a nice guy and if you go to class you should do well. Sometimes he's hard to understand and he can be very unclear about what he wants from you. But if you sit in the front row you should do well.
He's very hard to understand due to his choppy accent....he hates calcultors...imagine doing STATS II without a calc....hard grader...
The worst teacher i have ever had in this University. Never there for extra help and all his students are frustrated because he just doesnt care.
WHY does he make us type everything??!! his accent is hard to understand, pretty much gives nightly assignments, which sucks, but could be worse i guess
accent is hard to understand at first, nice guy, nitely assignments which can get annoying (especially since u have to type EVERYTHING). material can get tricky but if you go to class and make an effort to understand everything you'll probably be ok.
Very good professor..knows his stuff but expects a lot. He is tough but if you need help he is willing to help you. Was more of a mentor to me even though I didn't do so well in his class
nice guy, homework every night, class goes really fast, so you have to go every day. Good teacher makes things understandable.
Prof. Habibullah is a great guy. If you go to class every day and do the homework you will be fine. His accent takes a bit of time to get used to. And if you need any help he is always willing to assist you.
Mo is a decent guy...His class is pretty easy if you dont miss a single class the entire semester. Beware of the final!
take good notes because he lets you make a formula sheet (you'll need it). he's willing to help you, but you have to go to every class and do your homework because it's very hard material to teach to yourself or even get taught by a classmate.
Worst teacher ever
Likes to go off the subject, and makes things pretty boring
Great professor! Nice guy!
terrible
Tough accent, easy class. If you do well in the class you're exempt from the final (if you want). Pretty good teacher considering the subject.
we had a love hate relationship, but in the end i learned a lot and made out with a decent grade. statistics is not fun, but he made it a bit less painful
Very individualized class. Visit him early to get known. Not a good teacher at all (sometimes he would just talk about random stuff). Go to every class, study for the exams during the year, do all homework, skip out on the final.
DONT TAKE CLASS WITH HIM!
Awful teacher. If you get one bad grade, he chastizes you the rest of the semester saying that you will continue to fail because you are a bad student. The only reason I ended up with a B was because I taught myself from the book and ignored him b/c he even confuses himself half the time.
His accent is often hard to understand. He is not helpful and confuses himself a lot. The class itself is easy, if you study the book and take good notes its not too bad. I ended up with an A by doing that. Going to all or most classes is a good idea too.
accent is often hard to understand...speaks softly so sit close to the front. 85+ on the 5 tests he gives = not having to take the final! great teacher if you are willing to try
he sucks. he isn't helpful and is very hard to understand. avoid him at all costs.
Nice guy...good teacher if youre willing to put in the work. Can be tough to understand but completing homework and studying on your own will get you an A no problem. Must show up to class as well.
If math is not your strong subject and you do poorly on the first test, he deems you a failure for the entire semester and won't even attempt to help you understand concepts. Sometimes confuses himself while working on the board. Hard to understand because of his accent.
He speaks too fast and his accent makes him difficult to understand. when he "teaches" he just does the problem and you better understand it... do NOT talk in class and do your homework, he collects it "randomly". Class is okay if you have already taken statistics. Very difficult to reach/talk to during office hours so study hard!
The professor himself isn't a bad person but his teaching style is hard to follow and his accent and fast speech makes him hard to understand sometimes. The tests aren't too bad if you study and are based on the homework and class problems. The class is pretty boring and he collects homework randomly even if he says he wont collect it, he might.
This was the worst professor I have ever had. Doesnt do problems in class but writes pages and pages of pointless vocab from the book. Doesnt show up for extra help and gives quizzes every week which are 6 pages long. If you know anything. Dont take HIM
He's not terrible if you keep up with the reading. He works very hard to make sure that you know how to do the problems by going over them in class but towards the end of the semester doesn't go over everything and then tests you on it. He's a nice guy who really cares about teaching
Treat him with respect, participate in class, and you will get a good grade...I got a A-, didnt learn much, but he is interesting and quite funny at the same time, very hard understanding him, but he is a good man and looking for you to succeed.
Pretty good teacher if you pay attention in class and after awhile you will get the gist of things and it will suddenly just click. Homework is easy and the final project is pretty much a joke. Sometimes he is hard to understand but again, you get used to it.
He is difficult to understand, but you get used to it. He goes through the material very fast, so you must stay on top of everything, or else you will fall behind. Tests are hard, final project wasn't too bad, he also drops the lowest test grade. Gives pop quizzes. Overall he wasn't too bad, but try to take someone else if you can.
one of the worst teachers i have ever had. not only is he difficult to understand but he is a jerk. he doesnt listen to you at all when you need to talk to him and on top of that he has pointless quizes every class. It would be an easy class but because he is such a bad teacher I got a C. my suggestion is avoid his class at all cost!!
Quite possibly the worst teacher I've had here so far, aside from Professor Ramras. He can't speak proper English. He can't write in proper English. He's rude. He lost quite a few people's quizzes over the course of the semester, and he can't teach. I got an A in the class just because I could teach myself. Going to the class was worthless, though.
I had him for Business Stats. IF you don't have to take him, meaning no one assigned you to HELL before you die, don't take him. He is the worst teacher. You can't understand him, he's inconsistant and he answers his phone during class. He may in fact really be kind of nice, but his teaching skills are horrible.
Class is cake if you do homework. Teacher is hard to understand, but the material isnt very difficult... can use calculator to do everything for you on tests
He is not as bad as you all make him out to be. Yes, he is foreign, but he actually cares if you do well. The only reason you will not do well in this class is if you do not put the effort into it.
Awful professor. Stands about 4 foot 6" hardly speaks english and is impossible to reason with. The material wasn't that hard but he made it impossible to do well.
I would have had an A in this class easy but he screwed me on a midterm, gave me a 60 because I used an incorrect answer from part a throughout the entire problem for two problems. I comfronted him and he said "If I had graded this test you would have recieved all the points abnd gotten a 90, but a TA graded it so I won't give you them" what an ass
How dare all of you say these things about Habibullah! This man is a wonderful person and a very good stats teacher. Very knowledgable and has a funny way of connecting the class to the real world. He relly does care about how you do and is fair with the assignments. He's always asking how he can help you. Take him, you'll love him.
By far one of the best professors I've had at Northeastern. I really dont understand how anyone could say anything bad about this man. He really cares how you do and always asks if theres anything he can do to help. Always puts his students first. Highly Recommended!
I couldn't agree any LESS with the previous comments. Professor Habibbulah is one of the nicest, most helpful professors I have ever met. He spells out exactly how to do each problem on the tests and his grading system is extremely fair. DO NOT listen to the other comments and TAKE this professor. You will not regret taking Professor Habibbulah!
He is very unclear when explaining information, but you really get the hang of it when he gives an example. he's always willing to help. hmwk is easy and quizzes and test are fair. he doesnt take attendance but he knows when you're not there. it's a must that you attend this class to learn though. pay attention and you'll do fine
Really cool guy! Teaches the subject really well but really important to go to class!
Easiest class at northeastern. Habibullah has the best unintentional comedy I've ever heard. the class is boring but its worth it to go just to hear some of the things he says
LOVED Habibullah! Seriously might be the most genuine and nice person I have ever met. He has nothing but sincere intentions and wants his students to understand the material, and take away some "life lessons" from the class (haha). After he provides examples, the material is easy and tests, quizzes are a piece of cake! Recommend him highly!
Habibs may just be my favorite person ever. He cares so much about stat and more about everyone and everything else. I love him. He is hilarious. Take his class. I swear. It's awesome.
Two people below me got Habibullah perfect. Stats is soooo easy and he keeps it that way. He's never clear about anything he wants but that's because it's all so easy. Mandatory attendance in order to learn the subject. Easy quizzes and tests. Ended term with a 101/100. Going to class is worth it just to see his clothes and hear his stories.
Hated this class. He was certainly a nice guy, but I did not respond well to his teaching style... ended up teaching the whole class to myself. He definitely knows stats in-and-out, but he has a heavy accent and is a little weird sometimes. I think I would have done better with another teacher.
Habibullah is a very good teacher. He is a bit hard to understand at times, but his intentions are very good. He knows the material very well. If you apply yourself, ask questions, and pay attention you will do well in this class. Not an easy-A, but not an automatic fail either. He's an overall very good teacher.
He is a little confusing at times but he wants nothing more than for you to succeed in his class. He is always willing and able to help you. If you pay attention and do the practice problems the tests are very easy. If you don't participate or do the problems the class can be very difficult. Overall, he was a very good professor and very funny.
He may be my favorite teacher. He's so helpful and really wants you to succeed. If you go to class and listen, its an easy A. His tests are very easy!!
He spends more time telling us why we should come to class than giving examples and teaching. He's difficult to understand and is NOT helpful when you ask a question, although he tries to be. I have to teach the class to myself. DON'T take him. There HAVE to be better Stats teachers at Northeasern.
My favorite teacher at Northeastern! He is extremely helpful and wants his students to do well, he always uses examples and answers any questions. If you go to class and do the practice problems, you will have no trouble with the exams. I ended the class with an A and would recommend him to anyone. Take his class if you can!
He wants to help but he makes no sense. I'm lucky I knew the topic so I didn't have to put too much effort in it. Try to avoid and get a professor that you can actually learn from.
He never teach us about minitab, but he give a lot of homework that has to do with minitab. It takes more than 2 days to finish his homework, becuase i have no idea with how to use minitab!
I iwill start with the most important peice of advice - Stay away ! He does not post revision guides or coherent answers to the problems he gives you. He does not like using technology so be prepared to take lots of notes and attend every class. If you don't you will be lost.
Habibullah was def one of my favorite professors at NU. At first you may not like him but give him some time, hes really chill and is pretty much cool with anything. I ended class with an A-. Pay attention and go to class every day or you will be left behind.
Since I already took the class I did not find it difficult. If you took AP Stats in HS, this class is easier. For those who didn't take it in HS, all you have to do is show up to every class. Miss a class and you fall behind drastically. Overall he is a good teacher with good intentions and I recommend him.
Best professor I have had at NEU. Very helpful and supportive. He really wants you to do well. Very strict when it comes to attendance, which is a good thing since it is hard to miss a class without falling behind drastically. Very funny and clear teaching style.
Stay away from this professor; unclear, lack of technology usage, doesn't post grades to keep you updated on how you're doing, gets mad at you for missing his class.
He really means well, and tries hard, and everyone gets a good grade in the end if they keep with it and come to class (cannot be stressed enough...COME TO CLASS). If you attend and submit the homework (even if it's all wrong), you will get a good grade. Nice guy, but it will take you half the semester to get used to his accent/grammar issues.
If you try you will get a good grade. He is really helpful and want you to do well
Attendance is the most important. He hates it when you miss and on top of that, he covers 1 to 2 chapters per class so you will fall behind drastically. He is very busy with his research and does not have time to deal with small issues. Go to the TA for questions and such. He loves what he does and if you do your part, he will help you in the end.
He sucks. You cannot understand a word he says. His Powerpoints are 90+ slides and his way of teaching is pulling them up in class and reading every third line. DO NOT TAKE HIM you will regret it. If you are forced to take him buy the textbook because you will need to teach yourself everything.
Habibs is the man. Very funny, but unintentionally so it's even funnier. Be prepared to have his beliefs and opinions thrust upon you via his unbelievable stories. At first, hard to understand but you get used to it. He means well and wants all students to get a good grade. Must attend class because he moves at a quick pace.
Funny guy, slight accent. Attendance is crucial. Don't talk in class, or you'll be picked on often. Otherwise, he covers the material in detail and does questions repetitively so you'll know how to do them. 2 midterms and a final. Make sure to take notes and do the HW, because they'll be on the exam. Pay attention and you'll get an A.
He is such a nice professor, but he suck at teaching. His notes are all over the place and they lack structure, so it becomes confusing. DO NOT MISS CLASS. He doesn't care much about attendance, but you'll fall behind and won't be able to catch up. Super hard exam: I had an A in the class before the final, and failed my final, so ended with a B+...
worst professor I have ever had in my life. change quick!
Extremely friendly and caring person. Not so good at teaching. Attendance is crucial. Do HW and read book then you'll be fine!
He is the funniest professor i ever had, It's easy to get good grade in his class, just don't screw up quizs and exams, which i think is extremly easy, you will be good
Interesting to read all the ratings. Took this class 15+ years ago and one I recall vividly and applied in my work-life for years and years after graduation. Appreciate the extra hours I spent with Prof. Habibullah to nail my understanding of the subject matter.
He is a good professor and willing to help. The exams are not hard and the notes are clear for me to use. You will get used to his accent finally.
Extremely unclear and all over the place. He jumps around sections and it's impossible to follow his notes. He's extremely unhelpful and makes you feel stupid for asking questions. Doesn't follow the syllabus and gives unnecessary additional work that he says he'll grade but never collects. One of the worst classes I've had to take.
He cannot be understood. He encourages you to go to extra help, but then there's a line out the door and he ends his office hours before you have a change to speak with him. He told my class that women do not belong in the corporate world... He means well, but he is not afraid to express his beliefs.
Really hard to follow. Says he will provide a formula sheet for exams or you can make your own. MAKE YOUR OWN- his has a few random ones, some not even relevant to the exam. He's really nice but he makes the class way harder than it needs to be. Don't even bother trying to get into his office hours
Took Business Statistics with him during Summer 1. Funny guy, pretty easy material. Do your homework and practice problems and the quizzesexams are no problem. And this is coming from someone that almost flunked AP Statistics in high school!!
He's a good guy. Likes to help students and it's a relatively easy A.
Habibullah is a great professor! If u do the daily homework and show up to every class, you'd get an A! Don't hesitate to go to his office hours because that's what helped the most!!
Really boring class but nice man. Not very clear luckily had taken stats before otherwise would have been lost. Pretty horrible tests, if you got a portion of it wrong it was hard to do well.
Doesn't always give the clearest explanations but sincerely wants you to do well. If you do the homework and show up for class, you will get an A. Tests are very straightforward. He will do whatever he can to help students who make an effort and is very accessible outside of class. Wonderful man who loves teaching.
I loved having Habibullah my freshman year. He's so nice, funny, smart, and helpful. He's always there to help, and he's willing to spend extra time on a topic to ensure everyone understands it. Makes the material pretty easy to comprehend. Tests are easy if you do the homework and listen in class. Overall, great professor, and I recommend him.
Prof. Habibullah is always available outside of class and the quizzes are specific to the material studied in class and on the homework. The final was very unfair but everyone's grade is scaled at the end.
He is the worst teacher I have ever encountered. Text book is a required purchase, but it is useless as everything in it is apparently wrong. He is almost impossible to understand and neglects to actually teach the material he expects you to learn. He is aggravated by questions for clarification and annoyed by students' confusion.
He is one of the nicest, most caring people I have encountered on campus. Always available to help outside of class if you talk to him. Really doesn't like when students don't come to class and I have found that the ones that don't, don't do as well as he covers everything you need in class. Assessments identical to homework and in-class work.
Hate his class! do not communicate with students at all! WORST TEACHER EVER!
If you are considering taking Prof. Habibullah for stats; DO NOT DO IT! If you are stuck with him; do everything in your power to switch out of his class. I guarantee you that you will learn nothing in this class unless you're the type of person who likes to mindlessly memorize things and even then you will learn nothing and probably wont do well.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS - He really likes to talk about himself more than anything course related. I once timed how long he spent telling personal anecdotes and he took 40 minutes of class time talking about how great he was. I went in during office hours and he pointed me towards his TA who wasn't helpful either.
Easy Grader. Explains well.
Prof Habibullah is an amazing teacher- everything he says is so easy to understand, and his explanations on the chalk board are all very clear and visual. Can be seen in office hours where he can help you one-on-one, has an interest in all his students and wants you to do well. Tests are not hard at all (took IB Standard Math), and makes math fun.
WORST STATISTICS PROFESSOR! AVOID AT ALL COST, HE DOES NOT WANT YOU TO SUCCEED MAKES EVERYTHING LOOK HARDER THAN IT IS. HE LIKES TO LOOK SMARTER THAN HE IS, MAYBE THAT WHY HE WANTS STUDENT TO FAIL, AND IF YOU ASK HE WILL MAKE YOU FEEL TERRIBLE. HE IS VERY RUDE WITH STUDENTS!
just dont take his class
Mohamed gives me mixed feelings. I think that he knows what he is talking about but he fails to transmit the information clearly to his students. He is well-qualified to be a teacher but he sometimes lacks the judgement to see that the whole class has no idea what he is saying. I love him, though. The way that you love a penguin at the Bronx Zoo.
Worst professor ever. Do not take his class. He only likes you if you're smart, doesn't matter if you go to hours. Content of the class is already hard and this guy has no clue how to teach it. Workload is easy however, but hes so bad at actually teaching youll probably bomb the quizzes and tests. Doesn't curve even if the average is a 70
Nice guy, but impossible to reach outside of class. Hasn't responded to any emails all semester and his expectations are hard to understand. He likes to randomly assign things in the last 10 seconds of class and if you miss what he says, there's no chance you're getting an email response. The few emails he sends to the whole class make no sense.
Its hard to dislike Mohamed because hes not a bad person, but is probably the worse teacher Ive ever had. Impossible to get in touch with via email, everyone has to work 10 times harder to understand his lectures and hw assignments. He has trouble communicating clearly with students so a lot of his work falls on the TA. I dont recommend.
Please literally try to avoid this teacher. He's a good man, but doesn't know how to use zoom, doesn't know how to use online homework's, sometimes very hard to reach. You will be spending half your time on this class, its extremely frustrating avoid him.
If you complete the homeworks then youll do great on the quizzes, they are just the homework problems with different numbers.
AVOID AT ALL COST, even if it means taking the class at a different time. Almost impressive how bad he was with tech. He has you submit homeworks through email instead of canvas and often wont find them and give you zeros. Impossible to get in touch with through email. very unclear about when assignments are due.
DO NOT TAKE HIM. Avoid taking this professor at all costs since you won't be able to understand anything in class because he is very unclear, he gives homeworks on 2 different platforms one is aleks and the other one is canvas. You have to study everything on your own. If you are taking this class get ready to study everything on your own.
The professor wasted class time and failed to actually teach the material. I had to self teach myself all the material in this class and it was basically asynchronous. All the work is done on ALEKS and the professor fails to grade manually, leaving it to ALEKS which offers no partial credit which is ridiculous for a math class. He offers no support
prof habibullah taught his classes online, which didn't really make sense considering he doesn't know how to use zoom. the homework is handwritten and submitted by email (?) to the TA. he also rarely responds to any emails. he is knowledgeable about statistics, but he can't communicate effectively with students. easy A, you won't retain much info.
