Becomes a better teacher as the semester moves along. Really cares for his students and wants you to succeed. Always there to help you as much as he can.
I'm bad at math and pre-cal was scary to me but prof. Sabha was really thorough with his explanations. He will stop the lecture to explain any of our questions and it helped a lot. He is available outside of class and will try his best to meet with you to help. Study and ask questions and study!! if you study, you'll be fine.
best professor, so nice and helpful. will answer any question you have and always answers emails quickly too
He is my favorite professor at Baruch
This is one of the best math professors in Baruch. He really cares about his students and takes the time to make sure that all of his students understand the topic. Study his review sheets and you will do great. I would highly recommend taking a class with him.
At first I didn't like him but after a few weeks I saw how much he cared about his students. He has several review sessions for every test, including the final. He also answers emails rather quickly and is knowledgable on the topics. I'd highly recommend taking his class.
I freaking love professor Sabha, he is very funny and very knowledgeable. He knows what he is doing and is always available outside of class, he's review sessions are very helpful and everyone passed the deapartmental final in his class so you know that's how much of a good professor he is. PLEASE TAKE HIS CLASS!!!
Prof. Sabha is easily the best math professor at Baruch. He is very helpful and offers extra credit. I honestly love the man. Do all your work and you will get an A
Math might not be your favorite subject, but with Professor Sabha as your teacher, you're good to go. Honestly made math easier, and he explains and writes EVERYTHING on the board.
Pre-Calc is a hard class by itself. Each new subject seems so hard, but then after each class you you you'll understand it better. He doesn't care about attendance but what makes you go to class is the fact that he's a good teacher and it's hard to learn the materials without his help.
Really good prof. I had a hard time in this class because it is overall very hard to learn but luckily he cares a lot to help his students and offers extra help as much as he can
Prof. Sabha is a Amazing Professor at Baruch I had a difficult time in this class because it is overall very hard to learn but luckily he cares a lot to help his students and offers extra help as much as he can but must really apply yourself for good grade
He is great. He is nice, funny, friendly, and helpful. He really puts work into his job and he cares. If you need help you will definitely help you. Even when he gives tests, he has comprehensive explanations for everything. he will give you practice tests with answers on them.
Literally the greatest of all time(GOAT)!!. Very caring and understanding and is one of the best math professors I ever had. Very easily accessible outside of class to offer some extra help. Easiest A you can possibly get in any Math class with this professor. Just come to class and pay attention.
He is good but he may be a little bit hard.
He is an amazing professor. You will pass this class if you come everyday and study everything he gives you then you will pass. He cares about his students, he's funny, and nice. There are 3 tests in this class and then the departmental final. Just show up, do the hw, and study for the exams.
Just take Professor Sabha, seriously! You will pass! Loved his class. He is very friendly, funny but most importantly he knows how to teach. He cares about his students and will help you in any way he can.
Professor Sabha is the best math teacher I've had in a while. He really cares about the students, and gives students partial credit on the three tests throughout the semester. I highly recommend him to anyone taking mth 2003
first calc class i've taken at baruch and i couldn't have been more happy to have him as my professor. his teaching is amazing and his tests are super easy as long as you study the review tests. definitely recommend
Great teacher, cares about his students. His tests are somewhat hard, but you'll pass if you take the time to study. Explains things very well and sticks to a plan well. Also offers extra credit every week, and will find ways to raise bad test grades. Take him.
Such a Great Professor .Transferred to Baruch this semester and took him for Pre calc He is the Best Professor Any one can ask for He is literally a GEM.
I was not able to pass math until I took this Professor for algebra this summer. He was the best math professor Ive ever had, and at Baruch college. I had an awesome experience with Professor Sabha. Hes the best!!
Dude knows what he is doing. Gives plenty of extra credit, helpful reviews before test and clearly and thoroughly explains course material. Hands down one of best professors Ive had in my college career. Definitely recommend.
Best math class Ive ever taken. Gives good notes. Online hw is harder than his exams. It takes a while to do it but its doable & he also gives a lot of extra credits. Holds review session the day before the exam and gives a 2 Qs quiz every Monday. Do his test review sheets bc most review questions are on his exams. Overall, its an easy course.
This dude focuses on getting you ready for the final. His test are harder than the final to prepare you. Online hw is really time consuming, but all math classes do it. Lots of EC. Weekly quizzes. Always available via email. Really nice dude.
Amazing teacher! He teaches the material well and makes it easy to understand. Very accessible outside of class with very fast response time to specific questions. He's easily the best math teacher I've ever had and I'd highly recommend him!
Decent Professor, goes into detail about material by using lots of examples. He is a little awkward so sometimes class feels awkward, says things he probably shouldn't say in class haha. If you learn by practicing example after example he is a great professor otherwise.
Hes the best professor you could ever take. Responds to emails quick. He actually cares about his students. Take him if you want to succeed.
I took this course in Spring 2020 which is the period that college campuses closed in the mid-semester due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But Prof. Sabha worked very hard to teach the students virtually. He replied to emails very quickly, worked with each students individually. Very friendly, knowledgable, caring if you are confused just ask questions!!
AMAZING PROFESSOR! (3exams) a lot of his exam q's come straight from his review sheets. Lots of quizzes and hw hes flexible about due dates. So easy to find outside the classroom in office hours and just overall great professor. Cons are his handwriting is terrible so it's a bit hard to copy notes if you don't ask. Would defintily take again!
Professor Sabha cares about his students and wants everyone to do well. He makes MTH2205 which is a particularly hard course very easy and will work with you so you can understand. Its 3 exams and as long as you do the review sheets, you would do great in his class
Direct and easy to understand lectures. Easy to communicate in person and email. The only three exams in his class aren't hard but if you study beforehand it's easy. 100% take again
Professor Sabha gives 20 mins after class to do his quizzes and scan all your work as to PDF to submit to him. If you're even one minute over the deadline, you lose credit even if Blackboard was lagging. He also doesn't want you using a calculator or else you instantly fail. He's constantly angry and complaining in class. Would never take again
He's a decent lecture professor however considering we are all going through a pandemic, he's not exactly understanding about it. He tired giving quizzes at 9 P.M because we all "should be home" which is a bit much and he also takes points off for every minute that its late which is not fair since sometimes blackboard lags. Also very disorganized.
Helpful and understands the struggle of the current situation of the pandemic! Always give an extension to any HW assignment that I was not able to complete fully. Usually answers email quickly and gives a helpful feedback. Would take him again if given the chance!
I took MTH 2205 last year with a horrible professor and I ended up taking Sabha last semester. Even though he didn't make the course easy and plus transitioned in the middle of the pandemic he was still effective as ever. I could've gotten higher but I blame it on myself and taking math online. Overall great professor, speak up and you wil be heard
So hard to understand and his tests are impossible
Great at what he does. He's a challenge for sure but he made me understand the background behind the topics that were covered in class. Consistently emails us for any reminders. Would take him again if given a chance!
His exams are very hard and he only curves them if the class average is below 70. He has review sessions for the exams, he records them unless he catches someone cheating, then he decides the whole class should be punished and doesnt record it so if you miss it you have to study on your own. Hes super cool but is a tough grader.
He's an amazing professor. He teaches the subject matter in a clean methodical way. It's a math class, so you need to attend class (or watch the zoom recordings) or else you'll miss a lot. Just attend class, pay attention, take notes, do the homework, and you'll be good to go! Also, he was extremely willing to help outside of class time!
Nice guy, his exams are way harder than the standards which is good for preparing for the final. His feedback sucks tho so if you get a question wrong, he will be like "wrong", no explanation also. His hand writing is really bad too so be careful when taking notes. Gives review sheets and review sessions for exams. Good choice just a little tough.
Definitely the best math professor I’ve had. Not only is his pace and teaching style very easy to follow along with, but he is a very cool guy. He goes at a reasonable pace with recorded lessons and is very straightforward with the material. I wish all math teachers were like him and if you ever have the chance to take his class, do so. ~A.X
Amazing professor! The class is challenging, but he prepares you very well for the final. A lot of homework, but it helps you retain the info. There are weekly quizzes and 3 tests, excluding the final. If u dont take notes or dont show up u WILL fail. Study all your notes. Review sheets and review sessions given before each test. He wants u to pass
I could fail this class and still take him again. Has a dark sense of humor and is flexible with homework if you ask for extensions. He truly wants you to pass so if you have any questions (no matter how dumb they seem), he's happy to answer them for you. Also weekly quizzes but they actually help you retain information more. Take him if you can!
Idk how I feel about him overall, he was nice and has humor. Maybe it was just me but I didn't really learn much in this class. He doesn't curve at all. This class is hard and he has quizzes every week. He's a good option to take but you have to really work to get a good grade in this class, don't expect an easy A or B.
Good at explaining concepts and occasionally cracked jokes. Get ready for a fast-paced class and take plenty of notes. Challenging and enjoyable class because practice questions made by him were more difficult but you'll gain a better understanding. He gave extra credits in multiple ways, practice previous departmental exams and it should be fine.
Never take him he is so strict on work on test and quizzes. Gives points off for bad work on multiple choice but doesnt give points for showing work
Exams and quizzes are rigorous. Office hours are short and there is not much time to cover material since students are retaking quizzes and exams.
The course itself is challenging and you would need to put in the work to receive a good grade. However he made things simpler to understand and reliefs the tension in the air by making jokes time to time. He is accessible after class, whether it's right after class or Zoom in the middle of the night haha. I would take him again if given the chance
His lectures and tests were rigorous but he was always good at explaining. Studying outside of class is necessary, attend every class or you'll be behind. His tests were hard but they made the final extremely easy. If you show up and try your best you will do good in the class.
The class can be difficult at times. He makes the tests difficult but this really prepares you for the finals. He is super accessible outside of class and really puts in a ton of effort to help you do well. Easily the nicest and most caring professor I've had so far. I would definitely recommend but it's no easy A if that's what you're looking for.
The best Pre-Calc professor in Baruch. Pre-Calc is a very hard class at Baruch and Professor Sabha wants you to genuinely pass. Just make sure you attend his review sessions and study his lectures daily. Attendance is mandatory
Prof Sabha is not a bad professor by any means. He is humorous and will go over a topic you don't comprehend if you ask him to. However I disliked his grading style. If you don't solve the problem his way, even if your answer is correct he will deduct 80% of the credit for that question. He does not curve his exams (which are over 80% of ur grade)
By far one of the best math professors at Baruch. He will help you understand any topic and his exams truly prepare you for the final.
He's kind, humorous and easily accessible outside of lectures. However, his handwriting is hard to understand and it's to the point where people constantly have to ask what's hes writing. He also talks fast and quietly.
One of the best professors I had at Baruch. He made the material easier to understand compared to the professor I had last semester He's always available through email and wants everyone to understand the materials as best as possible. Don't be afraid to participate in class, no matter what the question is
She is amazing. I almost cried when I found out I wouldn't be able to retake her class for other math. Truly the sweetest funniest professor. Her silly examples make learning easy. She also records and posts her lectures so I never feel behind in class. I hope God / Allah blesses her eternally. Truly a Gem.
- couldn't hear anything he says - has trouble answering questions - poor handwriting
2 question quizzes every monday but just study and review sheets are online. Handwriting is a bit hard to read but just ask him what he wrote and he will tell you. 3 tests counted as low, middle, and highest. He does review sessions sometimes before exams but just ask questions if lost. Overall, he's very funny and gives partial credit on exams!
While his handwriting isn't exactly the best, he explains the material well. Always answers questions and always gives a review session (in class and on Zoom) for upcoming exams. The environment of the class is friendly and always makes jokes to ease up the tension. Overall I find him great in teaching and would recommend him!
Take him if you can! The exams are based on the review sheet. If you study his review, you'll pass the class. But he won't drop the lowest test, so keep that in mind.
Professor Sabha is the real deal. A year ago I was barely surviving precalc and now I'm passing thanks to him. His exams are tough but they prep you well. He actually cares. If you show up, take notes, and try, he has your back. You will work hard but you will learn for real. One of the best professors I have had.
The only reason I passed his pre-calculus course is because I taught it to myself. The course schedule is very tight, and he has a hard time explaining concepts. He also told us that it's his first time teaching MTH 2001 so please keep that in mind.
Hands down one of the best professors I ever had at Baruch! While difficult, his teaching style helped me (and others) to pass the final! Would take this professor again for some other math class
You won't learn or understand anything from his lectures. You're better with a professor with more experience teaching this particular course.
Professor Sabha did a solid job teaching the material. I failed the course last semester due to a strict professor. However Professor Sabha always replies back to email and does a zoom session right before an exam As long as you do the review sheets and take good notes, then it's nearly impossible to fail the class with him!
This guy really comes through. Always open to reviewing material if you ask, quick with email replies, and super understanding with makeups and extensions. If your class is lucky enough, he might bless you guys with a surprise at the end of the semester 👀. Real one.
You can tell he doesn't have much experience teaching MTH 2001 specifically. He's hilarious, but whenever a student asks a question, he struggles to provide clear and understandable answers. It felt like one of those classes where you don't even feel bad for being confused because everyone else is too.
Professor was concise and clear to the point. While the class itself was somewhat difficult, he prepared us for the final. Pay attention to his notes and go over his study guides and you cannot go wrong
Class was a chill environment and you never feel dumb asking a question. He's available outside of class and always replies back to emails He presented the material in such a way that made things much easier to understand even towards the end The professor does his part to spread his knowledge and as long you put the work into it you'll be good
If you're very independent, and want to teach yourself, this course is for you.
I have always struggled in math, but this professor was amazing. It was easy to pass, as long as you try, ask questions, and listen. You have weekly quizzes in the beginning of class (easy and he's a lenient grader. Make sure to show him that you try.
I'm surprised by the low ratings. He's one of the best professors at Baruch. Funny, energetic, caring and always available. He cares about the class deeply and wants you to do the best. Someone said prepare to teach yourself, like lol, obv you gotta put in the work yourself and practice. It's math. 🤣+ Bonus at the end that improved my grade 👀
Due to his speedy lectures, the class had a low average for the 3rd Exam and he had to give us 6 points back.
Studying on your own is crucial to pass in any college course. However, it's equally important that the professor effectively teaches the material during lectures. In this class, the lectures were all over the place, and most students ended up confused rather than informed. As a result, we had to rely heavily on self-teaching just to keep up.
Hands down, one of the best professors I've had for math. He is very clear and breaks down every problem as simple as possible for anyone to understand. Sabha's teaching methods and love for the students really makes one appreciate all the extra work he puts into the class.
He was honestly one of the best math teachers I ever had. He is very clear and concise. If you have trouble just email him!! He is very helpful, and is always there for his students. He wants to see you succeed.
Very good professor. He's very clear about what he teaches, he's very detailed and answers any question from start to finish. He is not strict but you have to keep up with homework and deadlines. He has a sense of humor, so he is very understanding. Overall great professor.
Professor that has dark humor. He does a good job in teaching the course, however he teaches very fast. There are quizzes every week so be sure to study. There are 3 exams and a final. In the end of the course, he gave a lot of extra credit to help boost student's grades. Overall, he was a very good professor just pay attention and study!
By far one of the worst lectures. His handwriting is hard to follow and I couldn't hear him. Every time a student raised their hand to ask a question, another student would raise their hand to ask the same exact question because he fails to explain concepts clearly and concisely.
He is among the best professor you'll find in the math department. Gives really good feedback as well as being really accessible outside class. When is time for finals or any exam given in class tutoring is offered. He does write a lot on the board as well as sending lots of emails but overall his great (laugh at his jokes).
Ah man what a guy! hes one of a kind, he puts a lot of effort to explain with most simplicity and is SUPER CLEAR! Most teachers just give you the work and expect you to figure it out but he walks you through it and makes sure you understand. take him u wont regret it!
He's an amazing professor, and he will accommodate extending hw assignments if you email him. Definitely show up to class if you want to get a good grade for your exams. He is a fast writer in class but just let him know to slow down and it'll be fine. And I love how he always keeps the class updated with what's coming up by emailing us every week!
