Never returns the tests. Don't be fooled by his retake test speeches, he averages both tests together. He teaches like it is a high School class (juvenile). He is very un organized. He will not fail you though. lowest grade is C.
He is a very helpful lab professor. My past lab professors expected us students to KNOW the lab like we were born as scientists or something. Ishak is also very generous when it comes to grading.
He give a lecture before lad and you really cn not understand his english if you knew his launage then you can pass the class if not your in it to fail. Can be helpful and PAin in the a--. I guess between him and Dr. Wolfe i would pick him. At least you'll have a chance of passing with him.
If all you want to do it pass - he'll be fine. If you actually need to understand the material, forget it. He NEVER returns labs and when the class is over, most of the book was skipped. If you take him for Chem 1, you have to take him for Chem 2 to pass. A nice guy but terrible teacher!
I Could Barely understand what he was saying
I think he is the best professor. The way he teaches is very clear, and everybody can understand. The grading system is very good, everybody gets an A in his class, the lowest avarage is c in his class.
the worst teacher by far, u couldnt understand him, he was so disorganized, lost two of my tests, did not seem to car, and what he teaches or tries to teach makes no sense to the test. id never take him every again and i definately recommend not taking him for any subject.
by far worst teacher i have ever had. he is a nice guy, but you cant understand him. if you want an easy A in chem this is your class. just write down what he puts on the board. i learned more in chem 1025 then in with him because he teaches like its a high school class. i am premed and i have to know this stuff...so i had to teach myself
YOU CAN NOT UNDERSTAND HIM. HIS ENGLISH IS TERRIBLE, DONT TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO LEARN CHEMISTRY! HE IS COMPLETELY CONFUSING, HE YELLS AT YOU IF YOU HAVE A DRINK IN CLASS...VERY ANNOYING, THE ONLY GOOD THING IS HE IS FAIRLY EASY, IF YOU CAN UNDERSTAND HIM
Very nice and helpfull, the tests are very esay. the greate professor that i ever had. I recommand everyone to take his class for chemisty, you will get a good grade. I passed chem 1045 with an "A". great professor
He is mucho difficult to understanding what he is saying! He need to take an english course for foreign instuctors. I had no clue what was going on in the class and neither did any one else.
Dr. Ishak is the best teacher for the lab, but I do not recommend you to take him for lecture because of you are going to have a hrad time understanding him. Nice, fun and comprehensive.Rumors say he has a book in his backpack that has all the questions he puts on tests. Good luck and enjoy his lab!!!
Mr. Ishak is a great professor. I recommond everybody to his class, he is very clear and helpful, I got an A in Chem 2 which is very hard. great professor.
mean teacher. He gets mad if u ask him a question. he is really easy, but good luck undrestanding him. his english is horrible. He never gives your work back. if you have no other choice, i recomend you go ask any questions you have to Dr Rubini. hE WILL GLADLY HELP YOU EVEN IF YOU NEVER HAD HIM
I had Dr. Ishak for Chm Lab and found him to be very nice. True, his English is difficult to understand at times, but if you ask respectfully, he will be more than happy to repeat what he said or come help you personally. Very knowledgable and helpful lab instructor.
do not take him for chem lab! u cannot understand anything he ever says! he doesn't give u your work back so good luck for the exam. labs are hard to understand b/c they are not explained to the fullest AND u cant understand him!
Very strong accent! Don't take for lab
He is really a good guy and willing to help you understand. Not as good as Wolfe as far as preparing you for the next level, but overall a good prof. Practice and you will do fine. Great for the lab.
Easy professor! Attendance is a plus! He curves alot, so he makes D grades to be A or B grades. Don't take him if you really need to know Chemistry (if you pre-med student). Easy to pass! Final test was very easy!
Friendly & helpful. Can be difficult to understand his accent. Instructions aren't always clear, but he will clarify if you ask. Overall a good lab instructor.
If you want to have A grade and nothing in your head - this is your professor :)
take him if u have no interest in learning chm. but if you want an easy A he is definatley your guy. be very nice to him, it will pay off in the end. difficult to understand.
his tests accurately reflect the work in class
Incredible Teacher. Must take for Chemistry!
This guy is hilarious!Makes chem easy,I actually get my entire chemistry book. 4 Tests are either exact study guide 1,2,or completely random 3,4. he grades them wrong (double check!)but he curves some.No HW. Since final and retake replace 2 tests, i could get anywhere from A-D, scary. ill either hate him or love him when grades post!hes a Martian.
He soo nice. He have white heart. I like him alot. i wish he teach everything. I like his teach style and bersonality. he good guy with alot of good charecter and the holy zeal! :)
Professor Ishak is the coolest! He went through the exp. before class and was very clear on what to do. He was always willing to answer questions. He is a very funny guy. He understands your situations and is willing to work things out. Take him! But if you have a hard time understanding accents, then this will be a problem.
if you need to learn chem, do not take him..easy A though
Great Professor. Such a sweetheart!! I've never tooken a chemistry lab before and he's just plain amazing. If Chemistry isnt your thing TAKE HIM!!!! TRUST
Please do not take this teacher pick anyone but him! I have been an "A" student for four terms now. And withdrew from his class because I was on my way to failing. He is a horrible teacher. He makes you copy examples from the book for all of your notes. Then when you try to do the homework you are completely lost! Better off teaching yourself!!
Excellent Professor!! One of the best I have every taken and I have over 120 credits. If you show up to class, listen, take good notes and study 'some' you will make an A if not a B. This is chemistry afterall so you must keep up. His lectures are WELL organized. He is very funny and reinforces the classes abilities through positive motivation.
Very nice guy, hard to understand. He never is wrong. Long test.
This guy is a nightmare. Not study guide, and very poorly test review. Goog luck.
Easy-easy he curves the test. Take this guy for any chemistry class that he teachs. You will not regret it. A lot of opportunity for boost your grade.
"EASY? YOU GET IT? YES OR NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
AWESOME!!!! He teaches all of the course concepts in a practical way. The textbook is rarely used. Best Chem professor....period! I'll be taking him for every class I can.
I don't understand how people can see this course as hard. If you are decent with math take him. The tests come straight from his notes. Majority of the people in my class have A's. So far I have taken 3 tests. The lowest I have gotten on a test was 103%. SUPER EASY!
PICK ANOTHER CHEM TEACHER! I can get past the accent but his teaching methods are awful. No real review for tests, awful note organization, and no use of the book. He should not be a teacher!!!!!!
Professor Moheb is a great teacher! His accent is strong but you quickly adjust. He is very funny and nice. He will repeat himself as many times as you need to help you understand the material. He assigns hw but it's not very hard you can always get it done quickly. Great professor! will miss him.
Dr. Ishak is a great teacher. He tries to make sure every student understands the material before they leave the class and will talk until he's blue in the face making sure of it. Anyone who claims his class is hard should honestly try vocational school because college isn't for everyone.
I thought professor Ishak was a great teacher. He explained things multiple times so that everyone understood the material. He would also stay after class for the people that needed help. I would recommend him for a chemistry teacher.
He is very funny. You have to speak up in his class if you don't understand. He won't really give review and the test won't look like his "review". Very easy and will work with you as long as you put in effort. Don't buy the textbook. He makes copies. Just do the hw and you will be fine. Taking him again. :)
Dr. Ishak is fabulous! Yes, he has an accent but he’s absolutely understandable. He says things like “Nooo, why are you sorry for asking a question? I want you to know this. I’ll go over it again.” He doesn’t use the text since he explains things plainly-no extra text fluff. But when you review your text you'll say “Yep, I know this.” LOVE HIM!

Take notes and take your own notes for lab and lecture. Do the homework. Ask questions/Speak up. Attend class. Review notes, hw and text for tests. Is very strict with time. Respect him and he will return it 10-fold. I hated chemistry and now feel more comfortable thanks to Dr. Ishak(Isaac) and his style as teacher and human being.
Dr. Ishak is one of the most well-educated people I've ever met: has studied Chem all over world...and summarizes best methods. His tests are very hard; I failed 1st test in my LIFE in this course--but he curves. Got A for semester. DO H/W, Study, attend class. Tests:Focus on completing, don't spend too long on any ?s. 1 Hour STRICT time limit.
Great teacher. Absolutely wants you to learn. He repeats and repeats. He ll give you breaks in between, which is very helpful. Before every test he lets you go get something to eat. He will always encourage and inspire you to do your best throughout the class.
Such a caring teacher... One of the best out there! Apply yourself and you will excel with his help!!
Dr. Ishak made Chemistry make sense to me! He repeated multiple times to ensure understanding. If you put in the effort by coming to class, taking notes, doing the homework and studying you will reap an A grade! Yes he does have some quirky mannerisms but they just make him who he is. A professor that wants you to succeed!
The lab section was not hard but it wasn't easy either. Mainly due to confusion about what he wanted done. Frustrating when you wanted to know how to do right when you got things wrong and he just told you not to worry. Do your best and regardless of results short of blowing up the lab you will get an A.
Dr. Ishak was amazing. Very encouraging. He knows his accent is thick, he addressed it the first day, but he also made it very clear that if you don't understand him, then let him know, and he will reword it. He was very very helpful and clear about his expectancies. Be on time. Show up for class. Participate. And show some respect.
This guy is a joke. No idea how I got A's because I was lost the entire time. I learned everything from tutors off campus. Worst professor I've had at HCC.
This is a great teacher! He is very helpful and doesnt use the text book much, but does use powerpoint. He will provide you with everything you need to pass. Curves test grades. One of the nicest and most helpful teachers I have had!!!
Took Ishak for the lecture and lab he can be confusing at times but is very helpful. Don't by the book and don't drop his class because your grade is probably better than you think. He is very nice and wants everyone to succeed. Take him. He knows his stuff.
Great professor! He is more than willing to help you and will make you understand everything. I was worried about taking chemistry but ended up doing really well in this class. He is funny and keeps the class entertaining most of the time. Definitely recommend!
I was worried about Chemistry at first but let me tell you he made this class a joke. He is hard to understand with his accent but he makes sure he repeats himself more than once to make sure everyone understands. We didn't use the textbook at all and all test material comes straight from notes. Would recommend to anyone!Excellent teacher
Worst teacher I have ever had. So hard to understand and does not explain lectures thoroughly at ALL. So far this whole semester my whole class, including me have been so confused. Only gives one hour exams no exception, tells us we need the book when we actually havent opened it once. Tests are so confusing. DO NOT take him.
An awesome professor who takes his time with all of his students even those who don't learn as quickly
Amazing professor. Started off semester by saying we all have the brains of Einstein. Lectures are clear and concise, explains everything 3-4 times because of his accent. Test are always multiple choice and are easy, he will also make random questions on the test extra credit points. During entire semester I never got a test grade lower than a 100%
This professor is just amazing he can teach Chemistry blindfolded! Super easy no lab reports, no lab exams, just one final at the end which was very easy!!!! You don't need the book he provides everything and tells you exactly what to study for so you can get an A in his class. Attendance is important. He truly cares about his students. Great prof
He makes sure you know your stuff. Has a great grading curve.
I have NEVER taken any sort of chemistry, even in high school. I barely knew what an atom was before this class. Prof Issac is awesome. The tests ARE STRAIGHT FROM THE NOTES. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. if you do, buy an old version for 20 bucks just to review. Accent takes some getting used to, but he really is great and helpful. I got an A, easily.
Mr. ISHAK!!!!!!!!!!!!! he's the best for starting you off with chemistry!! he's pretty simple when it comes to explaining things, and his jokes are corny, but they remind me of my dad's jokes so I tend to laugh. all you really have to get over is his accent which really isn't that bad after the second day. if you get a B you need a different major.
this is the best professor at HCC for intro to chem. it's a hard class and he's def there to help you. he is willing to stay before and after class to make sure you understand thoroughly. i suck in chemistry but he helped me get an A. attendance is mandatory. don't need lecture book but you need the lab book. overall amazing prof. i recommend.
Very heavy accent and hard to understand at first but he makes it easy to understand the material.
He is the best professor ever!!!
Professor Issac has a very heavy accent you will get used to it after the 2nd day. He tries to be as crystal clear as he can, as long as you do your homework and study for tests you will pass with flying colors. He has his stories and jokes sometimes he's so funny.
best ever
Sure he has an accent, but he's seen the world and knows the best way to teach any topic. He mentioned how his daughter has his heart in her pocket and it was adorable. Really does a great job at actually teaching and is concerned about student input. Definitely helped me prepare for my TEAS. Don't buy the book, definitely show up to class.
Amazing professor! Do hw, participate in class ask questions when you don't understand and show up or you will be lost. Truly great man. Accent is not bad lol
4 lec exams and final is optional. Lab midterm and final exam. Dr. Ishak will break down the most difficult information for his students. He loves students paying attention and will make sure of that. As long as you take down the notes he provides, be on time, and do your homework you will get an A.
He's really the best teacher to start you off in chemistry. I'm in chem 2 now and really wish I would have know that he taught all of the classes bc I def would have taken him. He explains everything so clearly even with his accent. The tests seem hard but most of the questions are secretly extra credit so they don't hurt you!!
He'S so far the best Chemistry teacher that I ever had! He is funny and you can tell that he knows what he's talking about. I wish I can have him again as a professor in the near future. I really love this class and I will def recommend him to any students I know.
Genuinely seems to care about students and chemistry. Slightly thick accent, but very knowledgeable with information-packed lectures.
Kind and cares a lot about his students. Other than that he has an accent which can make him hard to understand sometimes, he's conscious of this and will often repeat himself or ask if you understand. That being said intro to chem is a boring class and he tries to make it more bearable. If you don't come to class don't expect an A.
He really cares, he really wants you to do well. Be sure to come to every class, that credit adds up and it's difficult to get notes well from the lectures if you aren't there to write them down your own way that you understand. He does have an accent, but it was not difficult to understand, and he would often repeat himself just in case.
He is a very good professor. Attendance and doing the homework is absolutely necessary; both get factored into your grade. He does give a couple extra credit questions on tests. He has an accent but his English is very good; pay attention to everything he says and take good notes. He seems like he cares; DON'T come late, play on phone, goof off.
He gives you every opportunity to pass this class. 4 exams throughout the term, non cumulative of all material. Extra credit questions within the exams. Attendance counts. Make sure to completely understand the material when going into the exam, and you'll do great. I never used the textbook once, he goes through all material in the lectures.
LOVE THIS PROFESSOR!!! Do not underestimate Professor Isaac's teaching style, you will learn. Do not miss class, do the homework and take notes and you will pass his tests. He really cares and wants his students to succeed. You will not regret taking his class. .
If you don't get the material to do the homework, the academic success center is VERY helpful. He does have an accent but you can still understand him. Show up 5 mins early to lect and lab. He takes attendance every day. And use the restroom before class begins.
Great professor! He really wants students to understand chemistry. His lectures are pretty straightforward and he does give some homework. Attendance is very important for both lecture and lab. Do not buy the textbook you wont use it. 4 exams and one cumulative optional exam.
Every student has Einsreins brain, so take his class and get your A+! Einseint do not need textbooks, so dont purchase the textbook.
Has an accent but not an issue. When asked a question, starts with'its my pleasure'. He is there for you and wants you to succeed. Sat. class gave 1hr break. Dont be late for lab! (lecture is ok) Made chemistry super easy. Won't let you take notes while he teaches so you grasp everything then would let you copy his notes. Only buy lab book.
He doesn't move on until everyone is on the same page. I've recommended him to some people and they've done fine. I passed with over 100%. Some people didn't like him since his homework assignments didn't exactly mirror his exams, but i felt like they did to me. Just do the homework and reread the notes. AND SHOW UP TO CLASS
He is an amazing teacher, just follow the way he has you do it and trust the process, you will learn! He is very accommodating to his students and will ask what the majority prefer when it comes to testing time and stuff like that....
He is a really great teacher! There were a lot of students that were accident prone so he ended up just demonstrating a lot of the labs if they had to do with any dangerous chemicals or fire.
prof issac is pretty bad at teaching, he seems confused a lot of the time and takes forever to get through simple things.
Dr. Isaac was confusing, his canvas page for the class was completely empty so it's hard to keep track of assignments, he would also confuse the assignment due dates. This is on top of the fact that his lectures are difficult to understand due to his english, I would reccomend taking a different professor if you want good fundamentals in Chem.
