Doesn't teach, just reads his powerpoint slides! You'll have to teach yourself

Just reads slides. Not recommended.

So far, his class is the worst. It is boring and not clear,bad notes and lectures. I don't like his class.

He is alright. He seemed like a nice guy, but he gets very annoyed if students ask questions. His lectures are really slow, and ppl always talk. He does some exercises in class, which is good. I don't recommend him, i found he was a hard grader.

Big piece of advice, don't get up in the middle of class cuz he's gonna say something. If you have to piss you better either have a camel's bladder and hold it in, or bring an empty Tim Horton's cup in class.

Let me put it this way. This guy is perfect if you like to waste your time in class, try and follow a class from the textbook, follow three different sets of notes...or all of the above. $258/credit hard at work...

ah man, just read the damn book, he's a nice guy, but he really really can't teach for his life, he's ok at everything else, but I heard being good teaching was pretty important, not going after him personally, only professionally.

OMG!!! i have never in my 19 yrs of life been so bored from a person he is sooo boring you cant even imagine. A minute in his clas is like an hour. as for his teaching he isnt that good coz he explains in a wierd way that comlicates the problems even more. If you are thinking of taking him make sure that you have enough patience to stay with him.

Avoid him at anyprice.I don t know how a faculty like JMSB keep someone like him teach. He is so boring and unclear and stubborn when you go and see him to revise your exam back

This teacher is not a good teacher.If you like C's take him . He is not helpfull at all does not explain clearly,does not want to help students. He is lazy. Avoid at all costs unless you want to study 10 hours a week

Knows his subject. Not a good teacher by any stretch. He's a dinosaur. Very slow; pauses between words. Takes hours to write on the board. Takes overheads down too quickly. Tough marker. Boring. My suggestion is to get problem and solution sets and work at it yourself with the book. Avoid registering for his class. Sit in on Tony Mancini's class.

Avoid at all costs! NO textbook use, only slides and examples from his site kemani.net. Sporadically explained examples on board. Things that would have taken 3 minutes to explain in class, and saved you a lot of hassle, aren't! 2 questions on the final were like nothing we've done before so you automatically can hope for 70%. 43% of class failed.

Awful teacher. I got an A- in his class but worked my ass off for it. He is terrible and not understanding. Avoid at all costs.

Horrible, I sometimes wonder why he still teaches. You can't just depend on what he teaches in class to ace the midterm and final. You'll never need the book. Do the practice problems he hands out and you'll do fine.

I've had this guy twice now, once for stats, and now for POM. What I've learned is that should you have him, you should NEVER go to class. Go to SOS tutoring with Marco and you'll learn what you need to in two days. You want Tony Mancini for POM and stats if available. Kermani's a dinosaur: old, slow, apathetic, mind-numbingly boring... Avoid.

Sincerely, one of the most boring teachers I've ever had. If probably knows what he says, but definitely doesn't know how to teach it. His class sheets don't match his powerpoint slides. Hard to follow. After 3 classes, there were about 20 people in the room... Take someone else.

He seems like a nice person, trying to help. Post some helpful stuff on firstclass. Unfortunately pretty useless teacher. There is no point going to class, except the class before the middterm and final when he can give some hints for the exams. Overall the course is pretty easy, so you can easily get prepared for the exams on your own.

Honestly the most useless teacher. He does not teach. Hardly any student went to class since you have to teach everything to yourself anyways. The tutors at SOS tutoring are a million times better.

He is a nice person with a sound knowledge but not a good teacher. There is not fun in class i really bored during lectures and he never post material he used on First Class.

One word "horrible!!!" And forget getting him to answer an e-mail it took 3 moths for me to finally be able to review my final!! Worse teacher ever

You have to teach yourself or take SOS... he is not helpful at all ... his age is slowing him down but you can get an A if you practice

Avoid if possible. He does not explain the course very well, hard to follow. If you take it, be sure to be good at learning the material by your own !!

hi there, he is nice person but not a good teacher for this class, so what you can do in order to have decent grade in comm 225 is just avoid him. Good luck

I almost feel bad because he is such a nice guy, but he is a horrible professor. This class is difficult to teach to a large group of students, but it doesn't help that he still uses a projector from the middle ages, and you can't understand his writing. If you're stuck with him just attend class anyways, but basically teach yourself.

Reads the PowerPoint slides without any extra info. He does maybe 1-2 practice problems per class but he does them by hand and is writing is eligible. COMM215 is a hard enough class but having him as a professor makes it harder. He seems nice and means well but he should not be teaching. Take another teacher if possible.

He is a nice guy, but not a good professor. He only reads the powerpoints, and doesn't explain the material. He is old and his teaching methods are not up to date. Many people in class were often lost because he didn't follow the order of the slides. Avoid him if possible, or get ready to learn everything on your own!
