all i have to say is AWFUL-- too much chem for an intro nutrition class

he sux!! it'z the worst class and borin pointless to even go to the lectures cuz ull end up fallin asleep..

HORRIBLE!! If you dont have to take it, pleaaase dont! I had to unfortunately, and it is the mst boring class in the world. You actually experience physical pain just sitting through the lecture. DONT TAKE IT! It would be interesting if HE didnt teach it.

This class isn't hard if you do the readings and go to review sessions. If you do all yoru assignments it boosts your grade significantly. The best part is you don't have to go to class. His lectures are pointless, boring, and he is very hard to understand.

He is the worse teacher I have ever had. He doesnt seem to care that no one has any idea what hes saying. He doesnt teach at all; he puts slides up, reads them and thats all. Dont take this class unless you must. Im sure hes the worse prof at the university

He is terrible. His class is definitely the worst class at UMASS. Don't take it if you don't have to!!!

I thought that the class seemed interesting but it has been HELL. His tests are IMPOSSIBLE, even after you study for weeks. DO NOT TAKE IT!

He treats first year students like graduates.

had him a couple years ago. not only are his tests ridiculous to study for (you need to figure out the different combinatinons or fatty acids with hydrogen. can't understand a word from him or the TA's. the class size is too big to ask questions and you really don't get much out of it.

One word: REGRET! Do not take this class. It's hell, and not needed.. unless it's with a differnt professor. DON'T TAKE!!!!

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CLASS AT UMASS IN THE HISTORY OF THIS UNIVERSITY. NEVER TAKE THIS CLASS ESP. WITH THIS PROFESSOR. Lectures consist of boring slide shows and the exams consist of material from other planets. BOTTOM LINE: DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DONT TAKE IT!

HELL ON EARTH

Very unclear, TA's suck ass, and the class it probably the most difficult course I've taken at UMass.

oh my god i wish i NEVER signed up for this class! i was doing it to get a gen ed out of the way BIG MISTAKE. He is a HORRIBLE teacher, i have never had to fight sooo hard to keep my eyes open in my life. he sucks big time. exams are so so so SO hard. SAVE YOURSELF do NOT take his class. its awful!!

I've taken 110 credits at UMass and this class is the absolute worst I've ever had. Professor Atallah fails to teach at all, shows no interest in his students, is computer illiterate, and prides himself on being impossible. Students don't deserve such mediocrity in college.

This guy is a nightmare. Impossible to get an A --only gives them if you know more than he does about something. Completely disorganized and unhelpful to students. Does not seem to like women students --mysogenistic to say the least. Avoid at all costs --not worth it. Have a 3.96 GPA --got a C.

SOM major and this is the hardest class I have taken at UMass! Do NOT be fooled and take this course!

Don't take this class. I signed up for it because I thought it was an easy A and it fit in my schedule and it turned out to be one of the most boring, poorly taught, and as a result hardest classes at Umass. T/a's dont really know what they are doing and the lectures are USELESS

This guy is a horrible teacher. Doesn't know how to teach, doesnt know how to write exams and doesnt know how to help his students. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL... do yourself a favor and DONT TAKE!

this guy has so many technical difficulties during class it takes away from his 50 minute lecture from hell. its so bad you have no idea about actual nutrition and foods but you learn about the chemical makeup of everything. its probably the hardest and least useful class im taking but i have to take it because im a nursing major.

terrible class and terrible professor

he really is a nice guy, but the technical difficulties he has w/ the microphone and computer are hilarious, the lectures are ridiculously too detailed you have noooo idea what hes talking about. He has a crazy accent. The tests are soooo hard. Not worth it! Don't take it! It sounds easy but its all really hard bio stuff.

This is the hadest class I've ever taken. he will give you a review sheet and then put something completely dfferent on the test. if you have to take this class do NOT take it with him, worst teacher EVER!!

This class sucks, really, really bad. You can barely understand what he says and he will jus annoy you by talking. You will hate his tests, as they are much harder than you will think and will involve a large amount of guess work. Do not take this class unless you absolutely have to for your major!

Mandatory Attendance, but you would learn more by reading your book and skipping class. Exams have almost nothing to do with any review he gives out, so be prepared to contact the supernatural world if you want more than the 490 member class average of a D

worst class i ever took.

Quite possibly the worst class I've taken. It's hard...I ended up getting an A BUT that's after teaching myself EVERYTHING...I literally had to study my butt off because this prof will teach you close to nothing. He doesn't know how to teach or help his students and he made the class VERY boring (and I LIKE nutrition)!!

OK...this class was by far one of the hardest classes i have taken...his TA's ARE SOOOOOO BAD...HE DOESN'T REALLY tell u what to study in each chapter u teach yourself(everything)...if u have to take it get someone to study with cause it will eat u alive if u don't know everything...take his online tests he takes a couple and puts them on the test

Awful, if you can get out of this class i'm begging you to do so, if you need it for your major than try and bare it. There is absolutely no need to go to class, he teaches nothing at all. The TA's can be really helpful. Read the book, take the quizzes and practice exams online he takes those and uses them as tests. Good luck

Take this class if you want to die

Its an interesting subject but the teacher bascially just read off from the sildes which doesn help in a class of 500 students, i so will not recommend this class. it made you hate this sub and if you dont get the material you'll end up failing.

I am graduating next semester and I took this class my first semester as Umass. It was the single hardest class that I have taken at Umass as far as content goes. I managed to pull an A but it was after pulling all nighters for every test. Dont take this unless you have to or you really care about the chemistry of nutrition. Read the book!

Not a fun class. I would not reccommend it unless you have to take it or you're really interested in the chemistry of nutrition. The lectures are really boring!!!!

This class requires a lot of text book studying. The professor reads straight from the powerpoint slides every day and manages to put me to sleep most of the time. I found myself studying for majority of the week before the test and dont usually get satisfying results. I would not recommend this to anyone who wanted to take this class for enjoyment

By far one of the worst classes I have taken at Umass. I was very interested in the subject matter before having a class taught by this man. He is one of the worst professors at Umass.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU CAN HELP IT!!! NOT WORTH IT AT ALLLL!!! ruined my GPA, stressed me out more than any other class, and the info isn't even interesting! don't do it!

Worst class I have ever taken. Extremely boring, you will not learn anything, goes off on tangents all the time. Has absolutely no interest in teaching you, when he starts up his projector it says there are 1400 unread e-mails. Even if you think you are interested in nutrition do not take this class.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! it is the worst class ever.. he's very boring and puts you to sleep. the tests are very unclear. he does NOT drop your lowest grade, you use PRS daily. oh and the TA's are just as bad.. trust me, dont do it!!
