She's very straightforward and if you just atleast put effort to read the book/material you'll get an A in the class.

She's a hard teacher! But if your serious about it and really want to learn, then she's the one for you. IF your just taking this to meet a science req, don’t dare take her.

A tough grader, but absolutely fair. If you take her online class she may appear to be horrible, but in person she's very friendly and helpful. She's definitely one of my favorite professors!

She's easy to get along with, easy extra credit, tells interesting/funny stories about her life and experiences, quizzes/tests deal with a lot of vocabulary, and study guides for the test are easy to follow. If you're super interested in different cultures, take her. If not, then take someone else!

I took anthropology 115 as an online class. The web that was used for this course was very easy to use. Dr. Bellas answered all questions within a reasonable amount of time via e-mail. This was a fairly easy class, I managed to get an A without any effort.

I took 115 with her online. The class was not that difficult. I managed to get an A on all the exams and essays. All it requires is that you read the textbook. I would definately take Dr. Bellas if you're taking Physical Anth.

I took WMST in anthropology with Bellas. I didnt know what I had got into until I was already seated in the class, LOL! There were lots of pretty chics in the class so thats a auto A+, anyway Bellas is very clear and easy, she explains very well and will reason with late assignments. Very good teacher :) WARNING: GUYS WILL GET STOMPED IN THIS CLASS

Dr. Bellas is really cool! Her test are not hard but make sure to take good notes, & study the vocab. I got an A w/ the help of xtra credit & doing the required (around 4-5 easy) assignments . I took her Arch. class which is her specialty but her Anth. is much more fun 2 take. U must B a real'tard if u can't pass her class w/ @ least a C!!!

I think it was a fun class, she is a good teacher but sometimes her lectures were hard to follow. She made it fun and interesting though.

One of the best faculty at Cerritos. She's animated and will make you interested in learning strange things about our biological heritage. Don't call chimpanzees monkeys because they're apes! Lots of options for extra credit, but if you just pay attention you should manage a solid B.

Funny and clear. She like Taco Bell, and studies ancient comic books from Oaxaca. She a freakin' PhD! That's pretty damn awesome.

Dr. B is GREAT!! I learned a LOT. She makes sure you learn the subject, this makes the class challenging, but worthwhile. Ready to offer help and support. Even with a full load I managed a good A. Take her any time.

Oh man I dont like Anthro! lol but her class was easy enough to pass without any effort ;). I will never forget the joke she made in class. Her last name is Bellas but she said that sometimes people call her Bell Ass lol ;)

Dr. Bellas is one of the coolest professors at cerritos college. She gets you interested in anthropology even if you hate it. she's funny and easy to pass. HINT( STUDY YOUR VOCABULARY AND YOU'LL PASS)

Overrated. Very nice, yes, but she hardly encourages participation, which I think was lacking in the class. She also gives these lame essay questions, 2 pages long, definitely not needed. She's crazy about the vocab, and will confuse you by not adding all of the words, TRICKY. But she's good, I am not going to deny that. She knows her ****.

Dr. Bellas is one of the coolest teachers at Cerritos. Her lectures are easy to follow but her exams are abit difficult. all i have to say is make sure you study the Vocab. there is alot of them!! I had Dr. Bellas last semester for Physical Anthropolgy...I believe it was Anthropology 115. Anyhow, she was the coolest teacher ever! She makes learning fun and interesting. She's very helpful too. I enjoyed her so much that I'm taking her Cultural Anth. class this semester. She's pretty good!

She's a funny professor and keeps you interested in the subject. However, you have to take a ton of notes and she goes fairly quickly so be prepared to bring a laptop or recorder. She also assigns a lot of writing assignments (about 20),the quizzes are hard and you have to answer an essay question on the difficult exams.

This class was easy! She grades on a curb which is always good b/c hardly anyone studies so it*s easy to get an A. She has vocab quizzes which help your grade. Extra credit & one test is dropped. This class was pretty simple and straightforward.

Ridiculous amount of work load!!! Be prepared to answer all 80 multiple choice questions,and a word matching section (very time consuming when your required to write an essay). Excellent teacher! Gives the clearest and most straight-forward lecture I've ever seen. She will answer everyone's questions and stays after class to do so if needed. She doesn't give a big load of work, it's all doable. She's laid-back, funny, and enthusiastic. Take her for all your Anth classes!

She is wonderful, last Summer I took Anth 100 and this Summer I took her Anth 115, On-line course, very clear on her assignments, keeps you updated on your grade, one test score is dropped, very organized this is what I like most! I would highly recommend taking any of her courses, she is just such an awesome teacher.

This professor is awesome!!! She is very nice, approachable, and entertaining. She is very clear during lecture and makes the subject exciting. She gives out study guides before exams which are incredibly helpful, so be sure to study them. It is an easy class if you do all the work and take notes. She will drop your lowest quiz score. I took Dr. B for Physical and Cultural Anthro and she is he best! SHe actually makes going to class enjoyable, her lectures are awesome, and you actually come out of the class learning! TAKE GOOD NOTES, Dont miss class, adn you should be fine!

This was an online class and I highly recommend. The exams were hard so you have to really know the material. The good things is that you can get a maximum of 25 extra credits. Also she grades all exams to the curve wich was definitely needed for our class. Don't worry as long as you do all the discussion assignments you'll do fine.

Best Professor I've ever had at Cerritos College! Time flies in her class because everything she has to say is interesting! She's knows her stuff! Making flashcards for the vocabulary quiz's help A LOT, plus it counts for extra credit, why not do it! :) I'd take her again for another course.

GREAT professor! I learned so much from her class and she's really hilarious. she shows alot of quick documentaries on what we were learning. you must do all the work and attend all the class meetings, take notes and study vocab. believe me her class is completely worth taking :]

she is amazing! very funny and interseting class to take. learn alot, but must attend every class. test consist of 50 multiple choice and short essay, but if you study, it is easy!! ohh and make sure you study your vocabulary!!! those test make up a majority of your grade! =]

Took online class. Very easy, just to each and every task and you will get an A. Test can be hard online but just studying very hard. Only 4 test for semester and will drop the lowest score.

Dr. Bellas is hilarious. She has the coolest personality. Even after she gives you a really hard quiz, you can't help but love her. I took her 115 lab class and the first 12 weeks were really easy. The last 6 weeks get pretty hard b/c of the quizzes she gives. However, I still received an A with pretty minimal effort. Take her.

Awesome teacher...there is a lot of work to do like the mini papers on the different cases from the annual book..but even then the stories r interesting. She shows interest in her students. Totally recommend her.

Dr. Bellas was probably one of the best teachers on campus for me. I enjoyed her 100 class so much I decided to sign up for 205 as well. Her lectures are pretty straight forward and there's really no reason why someone can't get an A in her class. I recommend her for sure. You'll learn so much more about Anthro than you ever cared to learn about.

She's made the subject so interesting and relevant I'm ready to change my major! Great teacher who knows her stuff and wants you to do well. You'll have a much broader point of view if you take this class and will learn a lot with this professor.

Simply amazing. Her lectures are as informative as they are entertaining. Very structured, you know your grade at all times and she gives a generous amount of extra credit opportunities. There are plenty of extra credit opportunities. She made the class really interesting. Quizzes are all vocabulary. She also gives the essay questions (4 on the study guide, 3 on the exam, do 2 to be safe) in advance along with a list of topics.

Ive taken her 3 semesters for 3 different Anthro courses and everytime, no matter the subject of anthropology, is always very intresting and easy to understand. She makes you feel very comfortable and i HIGHLY recommend taking her for any anthro course requirement. SHE IS THE BEST

Good teacher. Her class is pretty easy and straightforward. There are extra credit opportunities for each exam. Show up everyday, take notes, and study for quiz and exams and you will be fine. I don't understand how people failed. You have to not try at all to fail honestly. She makes the subject matter interesting which is a plus.

Attendance is important, you can miss info or video clips that might be on the exams or quizzes. Take notes, study vocab, read the chapters, do the articles. She gives many ec opportunities and drops your lowest quiz score. I HIGHLY recommend taking her class because she makes the subject easy to understand.

Easy Class, informative, you will actually learn something REALLY SIMPLE and straightforward but you still need to put in work.

Her lectures are very organized and the structure is clearly articulated. Her extensive experience in the field allows her lectures to be supplemented by wonderful photos and real-life examples. This was my first time having her class and it was pretty enjoyable. The exams are written and are simple to do. Missing one class is a hindrance. Need notes for the correct theory. Reading homework is crucial for the lecture notes. Class is only once a week. Life stories that helps makes lecture much clearer. Bi- weekly assignment are journals.

Dr. Bellas was a great clear professor! This was my first online class and I highly recommend this class and the professor. This course mainly consist of watching videos you don't even really have to purchase the book I found the entire pdf online! If you don't pass AT LEAST with a B then your putting no effort on your end.

Professor Bellas is on point. There isnt much fluff with this class; pretty straight to the point. She follows her syllabus to a T and gives clear expectations of what she expects from her students. (I did not buy the book and have been getting A's on everything by taking notes from her PPs and doing the extra learning links). Well worth my time

Good Professor. Book not needed. If you do want the pdf it is online for free. Curves grade. No homework. Just go off the study guide and you will be fine. Also study vocab. Lectures are not boring. Honestly, one of the coolest professors I've taken. She offers extra credit before each exam and has a very specific and clear syllabus which she likes to follow. Her lectures are amazing, she shares a lot about her own life/experiences. You can easily pass this class as long as you make sure to takes notes during lectures and overall, study.

It is imperative to ask questions in order to make more sense of the lecture. Doing this before exam day prevents the wast of any time trying to remember what the core message was from the the lecture.

Very easy class to pass as long as you do the work. Assigns all to a group so the workload is super easy as long as EVERYONE does their part. She responds to email almost immediately & is very approachable. She sounds tougher than she is. She wants you to succeed so she will work with you if you speak up. Definitely recommend taking this class!

Great online course. Highly recommend this professor and course. The assignments are straight forward. Drops lowest test scores. Offers E/C. You learn a lot from the reading and easily applicable to the tests. Small group projects are a walk in the park.

I loved Dr. Bellas class, she is hilarious and her lectures even better. She was always available and very helpful. She is caring of everyones grade and curves EXAMS you guys.. as well as offer extra credit for exams, there is no way you cannot pass.

She's the best professor I've had and I would definitely take her class again! My car was broken into within the last few weeks of school and my textbook got stolen and when I told her, she didn't't have another textbook to let me borrow but she took the time out of her day to make me copies of the last few chapters of the book for me. Dr. Bellas is funny and nice. Be ready to take very good notes. No PowerPoints. just need to be in class and take good notes or read. Quizzes may cover reading that is assigned by may not yet be covered in lecture but you are responsible for knowing it. For exams, lectures are caught up. Lots of extra credit available. This class is really hard but professor Bellas makes it possible for you to pass. 4 exams and the lowest is dropped, group work and many activities. The videos we had to watch were interesting. This is is possible to get an A or B as long as your read and do all your work you will be fine.
