Very nice teacher and easy to pass. She goes over everything well and reads interesting stories.

She's very nice but demanding and NOT easy AT ALL! Very few students can get A in her class. Think twice before you enrol in her class. Good luck!

She is the best teacher in ccsf. Her lecture has lots of fun and intereting. I have learned a lot from her class. I wish I can take her Eng 96 and Eng 1A. However, my scheduel doesn't fix. I feel really sad........Overall, She is a great teacher~

Ms. Bosson is a straight forward teacher. She lets you know exactly what is expected. As long as you keep up with readings and assignments the class will be easy. Ms. Bosson covers a wide range of topics and issues. She will also give you a chance to rewrite essays.

She was great. She's funny and interesting, and doesn't grade too bad on essays. This class does require thinking, just keep up with the reading assignments, there are a lot. She's very nice to students and is willing to help wherever she can, and she's sympathetic too. You should do fine.

Bosson is great. Very clear, interesting reading and lectures. She is very engaging...the type of english professor you hope to have.

This is why I enjoy English classes! Bosson is humorous and ardent about teaching and the material. Facilitated great class discussions; we could speak our mind about topics important to us. Few arguments occurred because course material expanded our ideas on individual opinion. She is sympathetic to the student lifestyle; always willing to help.

Monica is a great teacher. She is smart and enthusiastic. She also chooses great pieces for class discussion. Her class is hard work and she does expect a lot, but it is the highest level of English class at CCSF so I don't feel that it's an unreasonable expectation. I highly recommend her!

Tried her best to get this early AM class's attention and critical thinking skills engaged, but there was an unfortunate predominance of apathetic students. Her choice of texts and assignments were stellar & thought-provoking: the student body was not. She never gave up hope on this group of dullards, though, so I gotta hand it to her for that.

She is very funny, helpful, and friendly although her grading system is super tough !!! I think only a very few people get A in essays. Most people(about 90% of the class) get C in essays !!!

She is a wonderful Professor. I recommend her to anyone who wants to learn and still have fun in class. Especially, if you are a shy person, she makes you comfortable to speak and ask. You will come out hopping that there are more professors like her. My friend in her 1A class shares the same opinion with me. Liberal Professor, I love her!

Some ppl are bashing her but she is actually a really great teacher. She likes it when people participate and not be so quiet or shy. She tries to get everyone involved. She is funny and very smart as well. Sometimes she might slack in which your essay and hw is pushed back but I can't see why ppl complain about this, it only benefits us.

Excellent teacher! She really forces you to expand and enjoy the process. Seems to truly enjoy her job and care about the effect she has! Although, I would say this is an easy class, I would say she does what she can to make it very duable.

When I registered for this class I was scared because of what all these other people said. But after taking this class I think Bosson is great! She has a lot of enthusiasm which makes the class a lot more fun! The class has quite a few essays and journals that determines our grade.

FUN! I think she makes students enjoy her class as much as she does. She is really lay back, she understands life problems. We weren't really able keep to the schedule so at the end of the semester it was hard because we had a lot to finish. She's passionate about English so she's into it and encourages interaction. You need to participate in order to do well. Yes she missed classes and leans hard to the left, but in my opinion, she's fair.

I think monica is a great teacher! she's funny and interesting! I loved going to her class. The downside is that you get your papers really late. She gave lots of reading assignments but didn't really quiz the class which was nice. She always pointed out interesting points of the stories we read. I recommend her.

first of all this comment below mines is saying that only the dumb students like her?? but i think she is a likable teacher. ALSO, of course she won't really teach you much because she is 1A teach so she expects you to know grammer, punctuation, etc. i enjoyed her class a lot!

Prof. Bosson is an extremely passionate and caring instructor. The combination of eclectic reading and quality instruction was great. Regarding the ?OMG? review a few below, thinking you are intelligent in her class is pretty funny, as you misspelled criticizing and can?t use apostrophes correctly. LOL ADVANCED COMPOSITION FAIL.

Very interesting instructor and a nice person. Just sometimes she may turn down efforts of students that are not enough for her. But overall, she's good and helpful and her tasks are simple to follow. She's more recommended than many other English professors at CCSF.

I enjoyed having her as a teacher. There were some complaints in class about her not returning homework on time, but overall I enjoyed her teaching style. The homework load isn't bad. The work is manageable. I never felt overwhelmed.

Bosson is fun and the class is relaxed but she is not an easy grader. Short quizzes after each reading. She's flexible, but you should keep up with material. Returns work kinda late, but gives LOTS of feedback. I liked her class.

Ms. Bosson is very lively during her lectures, but we always go off tangents during discussions in class and we never finish them. She grades essays really hard. The only way pass this class with an A is to teach yourself and have her be the judge because her standards are pretty high. High-caliber teacher

Great teacher. Keep up with the reading and you'll do fine. I liked the books that she selected so much that I did some further reading on my own about the Victorian era (her favorite) and we had a lot to talk about after class (not a suck up, just genuinely interested) I always felt respected and her. Grading was fair. I love English class!!

I highly recomend her. She is one of the best teachers that I have ever had. I took her for both Eng 93 and 1A and am planning to take her class again for 1C. She has a great teaching style.

Monica is a pretty easy-going teacher. She's pretty hilarious, too. Just do the essays, ALL of them. We had 2 peer-essay workshops that she said counted for part of the essay grade. For sure, ask her for help if you need it.

REALLY GREAT TEACHER

very engaging "in-the-text" professor. humorous at t III es and can't really draw. she is know as the "MLA princess" she might seem very chill but when it comes to essays, she grades extremity Strict and Hard. you have been warned, take her if you think you can handle 6 essays (2 in class, 3 outside the class and 9-12 page research paper).

great teacher! this class you have to do your work, you have to apply yourself. no slacking! she is a fun and an enthusiastic professor! take her if you're in for the challenge.

Ms. Bosson was my first English teacher at CCSF and I really enjoyed her class. She's not a tough teacher, she's funny and if you do your work and come to class you'll get a good grade. She has a kind heart and works with students I suggest her class to anyone looking!! YOU ROCK MS. BOSSON!!

Professor Bosson is a best English 93 teacher. I took her class at Fall of 2014. She encourage the students to do their best. She is funny, but never get off topic. I will take her 1A in the future.

I really like the way she teaches. She occasionally adds humor to her lectures and touches upon interesting topics. You have to apply yourself if you want a good grade. Overall, I would definitely recommend her.

I've never felt comfortable about my writing until i took her class. The classes seemed easy if you did your readings. Shes there for her students and accommodating. Definitely will take her class again!

Professor Bosson is an all around great person. Her class is very easy, as long as you pay attention to the assignment sheet and the discussions. She is a bit of a tough grader, only because she's the "MLA Queen." Not much home work, but a lot of discussion and in class reading. I highly recommend her class, your grammar skill will increase.

She might not use class time very efficiently, but she is helpful, and does go over most of the readings in detail. She grades a little tough, but her expectations for each essay are clear. Go to her for help on essays, she will give you actual help to improve your essays. Participation is also important, overall a very nice and helpful teacher.

She is an interesting, humorous and inspirational teacher. A clear, understanding Homework assignment sheet is given to students. Although she is a tough grader, you really learn a lot after taking her class. I am enjoy taking her class when she discuss the detail of reading. I would take her class again!

Professor Bosson is hands down the best English Instructor Ive ever had. I've never felt so engage in the readings before. Everything she picks for you to read has direct correlation with the essay prompts. She makes the class super interesting and is a very fair grader. Thx for everything professor Bosson!!

As someone who doesn't care much for English classes, Ms. Bosson was a breath of fresh air. She keeps the subject interesting and gets the whole class involved in what can turn into hilarious but educational conversations. Her expectations seemed pretty clear to me, but I do know others that had a more difficult time getting a good grade.

Professor Bosson is really one of a kind. Admittedly, I absolutely abhor English Comp. classes and structural essays, but she made coming to class and not dropping, worth it. I saw her during her office hours, and sometimes just flew in randomly in state of desperation- and she never chased me away. A very sincere human that I recommend highly! :)

She tells you exactly what she expects from you for each assignment. Keep up with reading and don't procrastinate and you'll be fine.

I'm an international student, so I always feel stressed about English classes. However, I am so glad I took her class this Spring. Her 1C class focuses on bias in writing . She respects everyone, and class is not heavy at all. If you do all readings and do what she asks you to do, you will pass with A. I really enjoyed taking your class, thank you!

Ms Bosson is one of the kindest teachers I have ever had, and one of my favorites. I took her 1A and plan to take her 1C next semester. She gives a good amount of reading but its fairly easy, a couple pop quizzes, and 3 big papers. Show up, participate, and you will do great. -Dylan S.

She is a really nice and funny Professor. Classes are fun and relaxed. She is really understanding. You can tell that she tries to make classes and homework as manageable as possible.

She is a great professor, gives good lectures, and the materials we read are very interesting. However, she is in paperland and is very intimidated by technology. She hands out a lot of paper and is resistant to uploading instructions and assignments on canvas. Terrible grading; I still don't know what my grade is and our class has ended (N/A onl)

Professor Bosson is an engaging instructor who makes the class fun and manageable. While grading can be strict, attending lectures and using resources like unstuck study for study prep go a long way. Recommended for students willing to put in the work.

Professor Bosson makes an effort to memorize your name. She doesn't assign much work, but be prepared to get called on and discuss the readings in class (like most English classes). Her class structure isn't the most organized, but I didn't mind it. If you are looking for a chill and engaging professor who likes to tell stories, take her!
