Monica is a very good professor and though she's funny I felt that a lot of her jokes were inappropriate for a class. But, I still think she was a very awesome person.

Extremely entertaining professor. Her lectures are better than Robin Williams stand-up comedy. Her raunchy language and jokes give off a rather liberated vibe in the class. She makes it a point to make her classes lower level classes extremely easy as not to bog students down with homework.

I'm taking her Greek Mythology course right now and I would say that she is quite good at what she does. She meshes pop-culture with the Ancient Greek Gods/Godesses to create an intriguing, if at sometimes a little crude, class. A great class to take as a freshman due to the great light atmosphere and comparably low amount of study time.

Monica is awesome...this class is definitely not made for people who are either religious and easily offended...Being a senior, this is top five of the best classes I have ever taken. People who criticize her are ridiculous because she puts herself out there for us.

Monica is the most enjoyable professor I have ever had. She added a great twist to Greek mythology and really made the experience memorable. I would recommend her to everyone. Attending her lecture was a something I looked forward to. I still tell people about her great sense of humor and I remember Greek mythology all the more for it.

I took both her Greek Myth and Big Screen Rome classes. Greek Myth first, which was awesome and I was as enthusiastic about her as everyone else. But in the Rome class someone pissed her off by complaining that the mid-term was essay, so she made the final an un-passable fill in the blank test. Pretty much everyone walked away with a C.

Although this is probably one of the easiest classes at UNM, this is by far the most interesting course I have ever taken. She is aware of her audience so she does not bore you at all, she is hilarious! Attendance is not mandatory, but I always look forward to going to her class. And she also has the best shoes, hands down!

Professor Monica Cyrino is a remarkable professor and woman with a dynamite sense of humor. Seriously though her class in Big Screen Rome was a joy to be in and it's one of the highlights of my college career.

THE BOMB!!!! Cyrino ROCKS my world!!! If I could take every subject with her as the instructor, I would have my doctorate already...not because she is easy, but because she inspires me. I have taken 3 already and every time I'm devastated when the semester ends. She is brilliant beyond belief, but she doesn't talk down to her students.

While this class is a good one to take if you want an easy A, I would not recommend it for anyone who really wants to learn lots (or really anything) about greek mythology. The class is more about crass jokes and references to pop culture.

I have to come back to comment on Monica. Took her 5 years ago, and she was the BEST professor I've had in college. I WANTED to go to class. She is funny, smart, and makes learning fun. You HAVE to take Monica throughout your college agenda. It helped me calm down from my other classes (chemistry), and overall the best professor at UNM hands down

I just took greek mythology with Monica, the best class at UNM! she's so entertaining and makes everything funny and interesting. If you want a leisure class, its an easy A and alot of fun

I toook Greek Mythology with her and the class was very simple, enough that I didn't have to be there. Consists of 2 25 ? exams, and 20 easy 10-problem quizes. NO FINAL. When I was there, however, she is a vibrant, comical, and sexual character that has style, and speaks clearly. Stays to what is said in the book, and is truly a great professor.

Monica is definitely a SUPER easy professor. I showed up to this class MAYBE five times, and passed it with an A+. From what I DID see, she lectures about the material directly from the book, and answers questions from the quizzes as she goes. If you want an easy A, sign up for this class with this prof next semester.

This particular class involved watching an episode of HBO's Rome on Tuesday and then a very entertaining lecture on Thursday about the episode. She's so fun and laid back. So nice to have a fun class to take your mind off all the hard classes. Tests are open book, it's easy to find the right information. I will definitely take more of her classes

It is impossible to complain about Monica Cyrino. In fact, not liking her is outlawed under the Geneva Convention. She is funny, adorable, and easy-going. She is the bee's knees. 1010 would recommend, would take again.

300 level course but should be more like a 101 level or easier! All you do is watch really cool Roman movies with very few lectures. You grade is comprised of only 2 tests. Both open book and open note. You can't fail this class. Monica is hilarious but crass. Take this class to fill your upper humanities credit!

Only grades in this class is two exams. Every class you watch an episode of Rome and do lecture. All exam are open book and note. She is funny and gives extra credit depending on how the Rams are doing! Love her. An easy upper division humanities requirement.

Monica is truly one of the funniest, most-laid back, yet knowledgeable professors ever. Both of her Classical Tradition courses are very straightforward with just two exams on the media she presents but she's not trying to trick you with the questions. She made the study of Rome through media maybe the most enjoyable subject I've had in school.

Extremely funny. Very few lectures, but they're funny and interesting. The movies are mostly pretty good. The book she wrote for the class has a ton of really interesting social and historical commentary as well as cool information about the movie-making process for all of the films. The reading is not required, but it is really well written.

Easily the easiest class I have taken at UNM. You have to watch some videos in the class and the exam is open book, which means you are looking at the easiest ever exam. There are only 2 exams in the whole semester and they are multiple choice and completely online. Just take this ridiculously class as it's easy 3 credits.
