Weird but easy

Easy but sometimes difficult to sit through class. Very helpful. Everyone in my class got an A!

Great Professor

I had her for Speech, where we had to change the syllabus because of a Rally we did opposing the budget cuts. She's very fair, definitly easy to talk to. She makes the class a type of community, and makes sure you are taken care of, MUST COME TO CLASS!

Ok, speech is a GE requirement and im so happy I got put in this class. She is a phenomonal woman and definitly and amazing teacher. Its an easy class and she turns the class into a type of enviroment where its comfortable to learn,i def recommend her.

Great teacher, easy, just know the format for each speech. She is a stickler for it. Other than that A+. In the beginning of the semester set good rep. for yourself, she will love you then.

She is by far the best professor I have had up until now. She is so helpful and builds a sense of confidence in you that you thought you didnt have. She grades her speehes easy as long as you have it in the right format. Put effort and respect for the class and you are golden.

She knows her subject m is really funny!Gives you that extra push to succeed.very motivational.Makes you think outside the box.. This professor loves teaching. She makes herself accesible to students through her personal experiences. She wants students to succeed at CSUN. Therefore, she can be demanding in terms of wanting students to do their best. Show up, do the work and don't make excuses. She hates them!

She is a very outgoing professor. The class consists of 4 writing assignments, 4 speeches, and a midterm. NO Final!! She grades your speeches really easy. Make sure to get on her good side by showing up to class. Take it to get an A.

This is the best teacher its definitely not a easy A but very possible. Make sure you prepare for all speeches and turn all work in on time. She really cares about making sure her students understand her lectures and get something from them.

Just take the class, show interest, even if she says that your work is all wrong, change few things and hand it in again...and by that she will know that ur trying ur best and she will give u an (A)...easy (A) if you do what she wants u to do........

She has split personalitie's especially by the end of semester she flips a switch. We called her "Manda House". Just nod ur head and agree with everything she says. I f u slip up and say something she doesnt like quickly take it back and pretend you had amnesia. She'll argue w/ u to the depths of the earth. However she was a very empowering teacher

Attendence is mandatory, do not be absent more than twice or she is unhappy, she is extremely opinionated do not disagree with her opinion unless you are ready for a debate. She is a nice and good hearted person so you have to respect her for that, she tries to inspire and uplift all her students. She does not hesitate to put you on blast either.

Monica Turner was energetic, fun and enthusiastic about her classes, but also strict about homework and attendance. She's a very cool lady, and a pretty easy grader, if you do the work.

This professor does favor kids. I gave her a good impression of myself. Once she likes you you will most likely get an A or B. She gives a mid-term but everyone fails it and she really doesn't use it. So basically be on her good side, she her you car about the subject. Go to an office hour just to show you care. Automatic A. She will help you gain confidence in your speaking and is very knowledgeable and experienced. Her method of teaching the speech class is the most effective and she helps many students come out of their shell.

EXTREMELY understanding!! Just a great person in general. Took her in the summer. I hated speech and her class helped me become confident and to open up, even though we only had to do one speech. Which is also the great part, she allows the students to provide alternate ideas for the syllabus.

Definitely helped me break out of my shell, and what I love is even though it's a classroom setting, she doesn't lecture. It's a conversation. You have to try pretty hard to NOT get an A in that class.

She is a great professor who tries to be understanding. Her lectures are long, and she encourages participation. Class discussions happen quite often and asks for your opinion but does shoot you down if you don't agree with her or if she doesn't agree with you. She truly tries and gets disappointed and really upset if you don't do your work.

Professor Turner is one of those professors that really cares for her students and will help you whenever you need the help. Please avoid what I did, finish her class strong. I got lazy in the end and didnt put in the details she really looks for in her final project. Every detail counts.

PROFESSOR TURNER is an excellent professor. she taught me how to think critically and understand what is going on around us. participate, attend, do homework, take care of your research and you will pass with a good grade. she emphasizes on letting students apply better research methodology and get better research quality and findings.

Easy A if you show up, do all your work, occasionally talk to her, etc. Essentially if she sees you're making an effort. She's a bit eccenctric and dramatic but she knows how to talk to students. She takes pride in her students' success, and she knows how to makes you feel proud of your accomplishments.

Professor Turner is really an amazing professor this was my very first public speaking class and it was amazing . By the end of the semester you leave way more confident than when you entered. I highly recommend her!!

Professor Turner is so hilarious and caring! She makes the class comfortable for 4 weeks before you can start speeches and she's a fair grader when she grades your speeches. You have a midterm you must study for, 15 chapters to read but really easy BUT the midterm is just 10% of grade. Gives extra credit and cares for her students. Would take again

This is one of my favorite classes I've taken so far. The class requires speeches so it can be scary for some, but she really helps get rid of that nervousness. I enjoyed the class because the professor was funny and pushed me to become more confident in my public speaking. The class requires that you give speeches throughout the semester so it can be intimidating for some students but the professor encourages everyone to not become nervous. She is very supportive of her students. Makes you feel respected and heard. She does expect you to work hard though! We were originally assigned a big group project, but COVID cut us off from accomplishing that. She's very nice and accessible outside of class.

I was extremely nervous to take a speech class but by the end of our class everyone was pretty comfortable with giving speeches because of how much Professor Turner pushed us to grow. She makes the class a judge-free zone and genuinely wants to help everyone have the best grade possible. If you are taking speech, I highly recommend!

Shes a fantastic teacher that makes you think. Lecture is mostly discussion about things going on in todays world. Not a lot of assignments but she does teach you a new concept and as long as you try you will get your grade to past.

You have to read the book (please read the book...I didnt). Shes a really good teacher may talk fast, very passionate. This class really opened my mind on how messed up our country is, please take this class with actual interests.

I had her for AFRS 100 EOP last semester. She was pretty strict, but she is caring. The books for the class are helpful for the research paper. Don't come to class? You won't pass. You have to participate in class. She will take away points if you don't participate in the discussion in class. Overall, I like her. Just make sure you participate!
