I took her class a few years ago. She has provided me with a strong base to develop my foreign language skills. Her outstanding method of teaching allows for the student to easily follow her through the course material. Mrs. Ecsedy not only a remarkable professor but, is sincerely concerned with her students.

Professor Monika Ecsedy Nagy is the absolute best. She teaches her students from the perspective of learning sentences. It is like working backwards to get back to Spanish words and their various forms. You will pass Spanish one if you take her. Trust Me. She loves all of her students. God speed!!!!!

Professor Nagy creates an atmosphere of community in her class. Everyone helps everyone else succeed but this does not mean you can slack off and hope to do well. Several 2-3 page essays in Spanish are assigned, but if you work from day one to learn they become simple tasks. If I needed to take a language class I would Take her in a heartbeat.

I was nervous before taking this class but soon realized that Professor Nagy cares about her students. A foreign language is not easy but the professor is always there to help. Professor Nagy cares about her students. Spanish 2 is hard but she helps you to understand so that you will do well on your tests and online homework. Using the Cornell notes helps with learning Spanish. I would recommend this professor because she wants you to learn and understand Spanish. She will even help after class.

I took SPN1 online and didn't like it, so I took SPN2 on campus. What a difference. Prof. Nagy really cares that her students are learning the material. It's a lot of work, but she makes it fun and is very clear about her grading criteria. I would definitely recommend her class!

I took her class in the spring and I also took her Spanish 1 class a year ago and shes been an amazing teacher both times. She answers everyones questions and teaches us the language we would use everyday. The class is also easy, you just have to study for your tests and copy everything from the board.

Prof. Nagy is a great professor. She teaches in a way that makes Spanish very easy to understand. That being said, do your best to not miss a class. A lot is covered per class period and it can be a little difficult to catch up once you've missed one. There are a few tests, two compositions for the midterm and final, and an oral final at the end.

SPN 1121 was a fun and enjoyable class. It would appear difficult, but the professor is understanding, nice, and gives us an enjoyable experience. The class participations were a great way to learn. It helps out. When we have to submit sentences and essays, she gives us helpful feedback so we can learn from our mistakes. The class is worth it.

Great Professor. The class will not be hard IF you follow her rubrics do the VHL thats assigned every Sunday and attend her zoom sessions(optional) She do test reviews on zoom VERY helpful. Mid term and final was not hard at all because I participated and worked on both throughout the semester I received an A on both. I was nervous for no reason.

While attendance is not mandatory, Prof. Nagy has Zoom meetings twice weekly. These Zoom meetings are extremely helpful with understanding the content and concepts, which could otherwise be challenging to understand If you were to try to go it alone.

I took her for elementary spanish 1 as well. She has Zoom meetings every Tuesdays and Thursdays, they are not mandatory, but a necessity in order to pass the class.

Shes real gem; she actually cares about her students and wants the best for them. Professor Nagy is available outside of class if you her help with the grammar you have to learn. The pace starts to move fast after week so try not to skip on any of the lectures.

Great professor. Prepares you for any assignments through weekly meetings. Nothing will be a surprise as long as you do all the work she assigns and attend the weekly meetings. The classes are not mandatory but they are a clear path to an A. I was only able to logon Tuesday's and missed almost all the Thrusday's due to work, but was able to get an A. Do not think that the classes don't matter. The 4 students that never logged on all failed. Also, do not fall behing on the book work. It also is super easy.

I struggle a lot with learning online, but professor Nagy went out of her way to stop me from giving up and I passed with a B! She gave great zoom lectures and made sure we understood the material. She will give you as much help as you need and long as you are putting your best effort into the work. She wants you to learn and helps everyone.

Professor Monika Nagy is an excellent Spanish teacher; she loves her students, but you do have to study. Follow the test preps on canvas, it is similar to the test. Go to zoom to understand the material; classes are held Tues & Thurs nights. She has tutors to review hm-wk & you can practice w/classmates. It's not easy but she helps you understand.

I took Spanish 1 online with Professor Nagy and did well in her class. I definitely recommend attending her Zoom meetings, which are optional, but very helpful. I took her Elementary Spanish I class fall of 2020 & absolutely loved it! I am taking her class again for Elementary Spanish II. VHL is used for homework & she has zoom meetings twice a week for lectures and if you have questions. She is extremely sweet & will help you if you need it. Oral and written final. Prof Nagy is so willing to work with all of her students, she takes time for specific students that need help and also provides zoom lectures to review for the homework and exams. The class is not an easy A but with Prof Nagy she will help you and gives great feedback so you can reach that A.

Prof Nagy is awesome! I had another teacher for Spanish 1 that had 5 times more assignments, I'm so glad I took Nagy for Spanish 2. In zoom class she teaches you everything. Homework in VHL, 5 tests, midterm, final, and culture essay in English. Midterm&final are written and oral. She's really accessible & cares about all her students, take her!

Any second language class is hard to learn. However, if you attend classes, follow the material she provides, study, do all the homework and tests, you can earn a really good grade. She actually cares about her students and tries hard to make sure that everyone understands everything in order to do well and succeed.

Professor Nagy is very caring. She makes herself available to answer all questions whether in class or outside of class. She encourages and motivates giving tips on how to study so we can get the best out of our study time. She is specific in her teaching necessary points are highlighted in her instruction which really helps when studying.

If it wasn't because she actually cares about our success as students, I don't think I wouldv'e passed this course. I went into this course mentally prepared to struggle, though the material was challenging Prof. Nagy went over EVERYTHING to ensure we understood. I wish we had more professors like her.

This is my second-semester taking Professor Nagy and she is AMAZING! Your grade is dependent on the tests but study and you will get an A. There is also weekly homework in VHL but is pretty simple, just set the time to do it. I have learned so much from this class and would take it again! RECOMMEND!!!

There are so many good things that I can Say about Prof. Nagy, but she is as genuine as they get. When you attend class she really make you feel how much she cares about each student. She once told us about how there are students that do not attend class and are failing. These are students that do not attend and she was visably hurt. She's awesome!

Professor Nagy was my favorite professor for the spring 2021 online term. If you pay attention and do the homework, you will pass. If you're trying to decide which Spanish professor to go with, choose her! She will accommodate and make the class as easy as possible.

I took elementary Spanish 1 with Professor Nagy during the summer semester. I started off the class only knowing "Hola" and "Adios." Now, I wrote 605 words for the written final that we took through honorlock. I am able to converse with other spanish speaking individuals and it feels amazing! Prof. Nagy is amazing! Module work, homework & especially office hours help. Time & practice is needed, but her techniques make learning easier, efficient & effective. At first I am afraid and worry for speaking and doing homework, but taking class with Nagy it seems easier than I thought. She guided me how to be succeed in the program. It was a part from SPN1120 for 1 year since COVID-19. At first I wasn't sure I can remember what I had learned. When I met prof Nagy, She comforts me and always help me or respond to me when I at need. She is very nice and will work with you in order to help you succeed. She helps us creating mind maps, which was very helpful. Must register Nagy.

Professor Nagy has a clever way to make her students navigate a mindmap which helped with creating more sentence structure. She also assigned a supportive group of classmate to assist you with any difficulties. I encourage anyone to take her class.

Very kind teacher. Her class was easy to manage and well laid out. Offered SO many tutoring sessions and extra help. Really, really liked how she quickly formed a WhatsApp group for all students taking the course so we could help each other and send notes!! Honorlock proctored tests are weighted heavily, but homework helps!

Prof Nagy uses Zoom for a weekly class meeting where she reviews what's needed for each chapter test. Her humor is a plus. She also has the class form a group chat on What's App so the students can ask each other questions. There are also extra credit opportunities. Spanish II is hard, but she tries to make it as easy as possible for the students.

Professor Nagy is so sweet and genuinely wants you to succeed. She ensures you are prepared for tests and exams. There is a midterm that requires you to write 300 words in Spanish and 600 words for the final exam as well as oral presentations. The VHL homework can be very time-consuming but does reinforce the concepts. She uses mind-maps & others.

It was a great course. A lot of work though. Homework every Sunday. You can always reach the teacher via the WhatsApp. She uses that app a lot.

One of my favorite professors at Valencia College! The class was straight forward & her grading structure was gracious. Only assignments in the class are VHL homework due every Sunday. 4 tests, 1 paper, 1 midterm, 1 final. She offers some extra credit assignments. She was a delight! If spanish is a subject you struggle in, take her! You will Pass!

Lots of VHL due every Sunday, (not too bad, just be prepared!) Other than that, there were four tests (she drops the lowest test grade), one midterm paper, and one final paper. You had to record yourself saying a minute of the midterm paper, and set up a meeting to talk to her about the final paper, which were both were really easy. Super nice prof

She teaches with European ways/techniques to help ppl actually GET the language instead of just memorizing for test and thats it. She teaches you to actually speak the language and for it to stick. Professor Nagy uses modern, science based teaching methods that really make learning a new language more accessible. The homework takes a really long time but you dont really need to do all of it to get an A in the class. 2 essays in Spanish but its really easy if you pay attention in class. Very good professor, less memorization and homework than other languages courses with more of a focus on learning useful vocabulary and grammar. Midterm and final could be challenging if you don't stay consistent with your learning.

Professor Nagy is incredible. Spanish is my third language and she made it so easy. With English I always learned the same unnecessary things which were a complete waste of my time. But professor Nagy teaches what you need to learn instead. I knew the basic of Spanish and now in four months I can actually have a conversation in Spanish, amazing!!!

The class is really good for an online class. She gives you all the tools you need to study for the exams and there is homework due every Sunday on VHL. Tests are difficult but doable, I would highly recommend using the free Valencia tutors for this class, especially the midterm and final. It saved my grade from a B to an A doing it for my final.

Def recommend Prof Nagy. You go through typical VHL and have tests after each lesson. She tells you what needs to be written in the test so read the rubrics! If you need help, I recommend getting on a zoom/whatsapp call with her, she is super sweet!

This is not an easy class but if you stay up on the HW and follow the rubrics for the test you will pass. She gives you detailed rubrics for every test so you can be successful!

Her instructions on tests were sometimes not clear. One of the assignments didnt have instructions and when I emailed her for clarification she would tell me to look at the sample which was confusing. her tests and assignments were pretty easy and I did learn some Spanish but I do think there's better profs. She does have a final and midterm.

Professor Nagy is one of the best profesors i have ever had. She teaches you a new way to learn! She teaches in an active learning style that always allows us to use the classroom more creatively. There is very little lecture because of this. Definetly be prepared to use a lot of concept maps and mind map but she will help you learn how to do them!

I enjoyed this professor and class. She made learning another language easy. Focus on lessons and how to study was incredibly helpful. Homework was continuous but not overwhelming.
