This teacher really isnt as bad as everyone says - If you just pay attention and do homework/study you can get an A+ like i did (Unless your dumb, like most of the people in my class were!)

If you have a decent math foundation, you will be able to get through the class. Lots of people had a hard time with her teaching style, but it's not too bad. She can be a ****, but this happens when people **** and cry to her.

SHe has an accent so it can be hard to understand sometimes, but trust me it works to your advantage. She prints our every lecture and has notes ready for you every class. She gives you plenty of time, she doesnt check homework. You can not show up to her class and as long as you study ull pass with an A. her quizes are easy and so are her test

Lectures were clear but you needed to be in class everyday to understand. Very willing to tutor. If you study and do the homework, which is not required, you can get a good grade. Besides, she gives plenty of extra credit to boost grade and lets you drop some quizes and a test. I got an A and so did a few others who put in the time and effort.

Took her for pre-cal. Easy class, easy lectures. Tests are easy, just go over inclass notes which she prints out for you. Can be a bit sarcastic sometimes and likes to make fun of dumb people. So....if your dumb just dont open your mouth. Very good examples and very clear about everything. Spoon feeds all the info step by step.

I almost didnt take her because of the reviews on this site. I got stuck with her and I COULDNT be HAPPIER. She is a wonderful professor, clear and fair. Her tests are ridiculously straight forward and she is one of the most understanding professors ever. She is super willing to help you understand and takes time to make her class easy to ace.

I think shes really nice, and she does a handout for every lecture that she puts up on blackboard. The tests are a little tricky but a lot of the times she'll use the same examples from the notes! ^__^

Monique is probably one of the better Calculus II teachers at the university. She is one of those professors who wants to see you succeed in her class. She passes out typed notes for each section. I thought she was a really good teacher and presented the material effectively. Very willing to meet with you after class for additional help.

no, you can't "just show up"! Very good professor, flexible with quizzes, moves prior scheduled tests around physics ones (very helpful!), teaches methods with the consideration of how they'll be used (i.e. on physics tests). Would take a class with again no question. Do your work and you'll do great, just as is on her syllabus.

HW & attendance aren’t mandatory and she drops your lowest test and quiz grade. If you ask her for help on the quizzes she drops helpful hints until you get the problem right. you should go to class because if you do then you dont have to worry about studying, its very straight forward she's very nice and is you dont get something she wont move on to the next section till most of the class gets it

Pretty easy, drops two outta 4 tests!. Tests and quizzes straightforward and fairly easy, no mandatory hw/attendance.

Loves Athletes. Has a french accent but is kind of pretty. Attendance is not mandatory but she gives you practice problems to do in class that are exactly like questions she asked on the test. Athletes don't show up for test yet they still pass. Good teacher.

She's awesome! She gives out printed notes from Blackboard that give perfect examples of what are on her exams, and she even drops one of them at the end. She doesn't ask for hw to be collected, but trust me, just do it-if you do, you'll fly through her exams and quizzes, and you can ask her questions in class on it.

Great professor!!!! She is very fair and very helpful. Cal can be very difficult but she explains it well. The tests can be a bit tricky but if you go to class, do the homework, and ask questions, you'll be fine.

I took this class to finish my math requirement for the Comm school n I'm so glad I got her. She realizes most ppl in the class hate math n she makes it easy and painless. Gives EC. Drops multiple quizzes and a test. She loves athletes. Take her class if you want an easy A. Go to class though cause she gives test problems as "examples"

Rosenberg is a decent teacher but the real good lies in the course design itself. Homework problems are input into a website which tells you if they are wrong and lets you correct them...good for actually knowing whether you're doing something right or wrong. A digital textbook can be used as well. Very good if you've taken Calculus in high school.

She was my favorite professor during the semester I had her. In fact, I chose her for a second semester. She does have an accent so that may be hard to follow at times. Just pay attention and ask questions whenever you need to. The work is not hard, just busywork so you practice and are prepared for the final exam.

Prof. Rosenberg is awesome. She's one of the best teachers I've ever had. You will, however, have to work. If you don't want to work, you won't do well; but it won't be her fault. She's a sweet woman who is always very helpful... If you feel like learning, take her. If you want to coast, take someone else. And her French accent rocks!

Mrs. Rosenberg's class is a tough one, however she does take the time to work with you personally in her office hours. They aren't always helpful, but at least it shows that you care and then apparently she may throw you a bone here or there. This class is significantly easier if you have taken BC, but if you haven't...Brace yourself.

I enjoyed this class a lot more than math classes I've taken in the past. I'm a science major, so I'm decent at math but not a whiz. I found the Professor and the material to be very fair.

I've had this professor for 2 semesters, and although she goes quickly through her lectures, her tests are easy if you do all the homework. Also, she's more than happy to explain to you difficult concepts during office hours. For those who have her for Calc I, you do not need to have taken calc in the past, but pre-calc is strongly recommended.

I actually enjoyed her class. She goes a little fast at times but is very helpful if you go to her office hours. She tries to answer questions you might have in class quickly so we don't lose class time but she still tries. Her tests are basically what she tells you to review and a lot of the in class examples we do, so pay attention to those.

I liked Mrs. Rosenberg. She wasn't the most amazing teacher i've ever had but she was definitely not a bad teacher. She definitely knew how to engage with her students when teaching. Her homework is long and hard but her tests are easy so be smart with your hw drops. If you can do the hw you can definitely take her tests.

Very fair, she moves fast during class but gives relevant test review problems and grades partial credit generously on exams. Very nice person, do the WebAssign homework and practice the review problems and you'll do fine. Getting an A or B in MTH 151 with her is very doable. She has a generous amount of office hours too.

Prof. Rosenberg is really good to take if you are already familiar with the course material (i.e. you already took calc in high school) because she moves quickly. Tests were very easy and the homework is all done online.

Tests are easy. Homework can be a bit excessive. Above average at instruction and generous with extra credit.

Webassign takes a lot of time, but you will miss it when you take calc ii without it. It prepares you well for the tests, and you should go over the problems before the tests. Her lectures are good, she goes over examples most of the time, which works for me. Make sure to attend lectures.

Rosenberg structures the class for students to do well. MTH151 for engineering students was a great class. There is extra credit for every HW assignment and the tests are straightforward. She keeps a daily sign-in sheet to learn everyone's name but does not tabulate attendance. Labs are very annoying, but most students do very well int he class.

Theres a good amount of homework but it prepares you so much for the tests and quizzes, especially since the hw itself is harder. Plus a lot of the examples she does in class are the same problems you get on the quizzes and tests so she really does try to help and prepare you, just pay attention and do the hw.

Gives you extra credit on every homework assignment if you do it 2 days in advance. She is not great at explaining things in class unless you really follow along and ask questions. I think her tests are very fair, and if you ask her questions about grading she will usually give you points back.

I had Prof. Rosenberg for Mth151 & MTH162. The content is tough and she teaches fast, but that's only because she has to. The way she presents the material is a bit confusing at times, but I know she definitely cares about her students. Take advantage of her office hours! She's very accessible and it helps a lot. She made me coffee when I went :)

Im sure Rosenberg can be intimidating but she is the best calc teacher I've ever had. She really cares, is accessible, and explained the topic in a way that my whole class understood. Like any calc class, you won't understand unless you actually do the homework but that's not her fault

Takes off credit on quizzes and tests for the tiniest mistakes. Ive never had a professor that gives you so little credit for correct answer and marks so low for wrong answers. Would not recommend taking at all. Nice lady but bad teacher

Rosenberg gives you everything you need to know in class. She graded tough in the beginning of the semester but lightened up as the class went on. She gave extra credit for the final review hw and 5 extra points just for coming to class one day. Calc is a hard subject but she explained it in a really clear cut way and only tested on what she taught

Professor gets a bad rep but I found her to be great! She might go a little fast during class, but shes extremely accessible outside of class. Quizzes and exams are fair; no surprises. If you study from the class notes she gives, youll be more than fine. There is a lot of WebAssign homework, but its manageable. Lots of extra credit opportunities

Not as bad as people make her seem. If you put in the work and study hard you will be fine. Better to go in with some background in Calc, made the class easier for me.

I recommend her. Unfortunately all professor in the math department are tough graders but she wants you to succeed. You take about 10 quizzes but she only keeps 5 and theres usually extra credit. She is also very organized, she is not the best explainer and she does get a little impatient but she's not that bad tbh considering the other profs.

Rosenberg is a great calc 1 prof! She's actually pretty chill and very accessible. Everything that was on the exams she went over in class. Lots of homework but it's manageable. Hw questions are harder than test questions IMO. She takes attendance and sometimes gives extra credit for showing up. Do her exam reviews, they help a lot!

151 isn't very challenging. Prof Rosenberg has a conventional approach to teaching. She is chill as long as you aren't disrespectful. Way too much homework IMO (but it does help with practice and her reviews are goated). She will make fun of you if you do ask questions but she lowkey appreciates it and will help if you ask.

She is a good math prof, esp compared to others. She teaches well, j pay attention and take good notes. attendance is graded, but not that much. do hw it def counts and adds up, but it also rlly helps to get concepts down. she will help and if u fall behind get tutoring bc concepts compound together and you can quickly fall behind. I didn't think she was bad. She explained concepts clearly in my opinion. If you are able to do the study guide, the exams are based on those questions.

VERY tough grader. If you can get past that, she gives great lectures that are well structured. If you ever miss a class, its easy to follow her posted notes and catch up. Very kind as a person and will remove lowest quiz grades at the end of the semester. Again, she does expect pin-point precision so do be wary.

Attendance is not mandatory, but she will definitely be more understanding if you show up to class and ask questions. Tough grader, but overall good professor.

She's a great professor, don't let the bad reviews fool you. Her lectures are well structured and as long as you do the work you will have no problems in her class. People are just lazy and always want the easy way out, that's why her rating is not that good because she actually makes you work hard and learn the material.

Everyone who rated her THAT low is either not good at math or lazy. She was such a funny, caring, and knowledgeable professor! The only thing I do have to say is that she is a super tough grader. She will give partial points... occasionally. But please, don't let these reviews scare you! She is not bad, definitely take her if you can :)

Professor Rosenberg is an extremely knowledgeable, caring, and hilarious teacher. Many bad reviews are solely because this class requires a lot of effort, but she is always willing to support you. I recommend going to her office hours for help and showing up to every class. She drops the lowest test grade and only kept 5/8 quiz grades, which helps!
