Dr. Wolf is awesome, her American Music History class is one of the best I've taken here. Nothing was really too difficult, the class is fairly relaxed. There's a major paper, response papers, and the midterm/final. Overall, just pay attention and participate and you'll do fine!

Dr. Wolf clearly knows what she's teaching about, which is always refreshing. This class is a bit lecture heavy, so go to class!! A couple response papers throughout the semester. Be ready to write in this class! Each exam is an ID section (24%) and one of two possible exam prompts given prior to exam date (74% of exam). Study up and work hard!

She was great! I took this class online over the summer. It was A LOT of work and a lot of reading but manageable for a summer class. She is very diligent and straight forward. She always answered questions I emailed to her with in a reasonable time. Just do all the work and read what you are supposed to and you will do fine!

Dr. Wolf was an interesting professor; the way she teaches her class is unlike any other class I have ever had. She divided the history into pop culture units: baseball, movies, television, and hip hop. It was a cool way to learn history! The tests are writing based. There are quite a few writing assignments. The TA's are the ones grading though.

Your grade really depends on your TA. Her lectures are not boring but I did not care for the pop culture point of view of her lectures and her powerpoints were not very helpful because there was not much on them. There are a good bit of assignments so your grade can be buffered a bit if you fail one. The midterm and final are essay driven.

7 units throughout the semester. Each unit usually has 2-3 quizzes, a discussion and a random assignment or two. One big paper which isnt too bad if you pace yourself. Midterm and final are multiple choice and a paper for each, really doable but gets a little tedious. Easy if you just stay on top of everything. TA grades most assignments

I loved Professor Wolf. I had her for Hist 2112H which is all role-play games- no tests, essays, final, or homework EXCEPT when preparing for the games. These games normally entail a few papers. This class is low-stress and an easy A as long as you stay motivated and participate during games! Prof. Wolf cares about you and will answer any question!

I took this class online and it was the easiest thing in the world. She posted reviews for all quizzes and tests with terms you needed to know. You can look up any answer in the textbook for the tests and quizzes. Even though they are timed, you have plenty of time. My TA was also really chill.

Such a great class! All lectures were uploaded online at the beginning of the semester, you can work on your own pace for the most part, and there is not much work. There were 6 units, and you could start on the unit work the day before it was due and finish without issue.

HIST2112 is a huge class. 5 TAs split up the group of about 300 students and basically control their groups experience. Dr. Wolf is very knowledgeable and her (online) lectures were quite detailed but also quite boring. There are a lot of busy work assignments, but it does help your grade to have so many assignments overall.

There are alot of bad reviews for Dr. Wolf, so being one of the few professors that teach history, I put this class off for my very last semester. I was shocked. The class is very straightforward. Do the readings (take notes), take the quizzes ahead of time (open note, so are exams), and read the syllabus. Easiest class of my 4 years at UGA.

I am not typically one for history due to my memory, but I thought Dr. Wolf was an amazing professor. Her online HIST2112 class is very clear-cut and straightforward, with lists of assignments to be completed (along with their deadlines) clearly stated. Additionally, I personally found her lectures to be very interesting and thought-provoking.

Dr. Wolf's class was an easy A. She provided us with lots of material to read, and if you do the reading you learn and do well. She allowed us to have open note exams, so it is possible to do well without trying. It is really easy to put in minimal effort and do well in her class. It helps that she is kind and relatable.

I've never heard people complain about such an easy class. She literally gives us the prompts that she uses on the exam which is more than many other professors do. The annotations due every week and the in class assignments are EASY. People who complain about the "workload" or the exams have a rude awakening coming later in college.

Great professor, but definitely meet with the TA's as overall her tests (which are essays) are difficult. If you take the feedback from the TAs into account it will SIGNIFICANTLY improve your grade on the second test and the final.

Overall, I have enjoyed Dr. Wolf's courses. She is very kind and easy to talk to. She really knows a lot about history. In her courses, you will be writing many papers, so be prepared. However, her courses are very engaging and interesting. She is pretty laid-back as well.

Professor Wolf has a lot of homework assignments. Depending on your TA, your participation grade is determined. Overall, the test do not have a clear grading rubric and the terms and prompts are given before. The lectures can be boring depending on the topic and are where most of the information is found.

Dr. Wolf is such a cool professor. Her class is taught in the form of a game, where you are assigned a character for a certain unit and write your speeches and papers from that character's POV. You give about 3-5 speeches a semester and take questions from the rest of the class after. She was very lenient with grading, but participation does matter

You have to comment on the textbook before each class but the annotations can be as simple as you want them to do, the TAs do not care that much. Grading depends on your TA but she practically gives you the exam beforehand anyways so it's kinda hard to do bad. I would definitely recommend her to get an easy A for a pre-req.

HIST2112E over the summer (I did the 4 week one). Very fast paced and lots of studying, but everything was straightforward, organized, and interesting! I don't like history but enjoyed this class! Several quizzes, 5-6 writings (they were so easy), midterm, and final. If you want to get the credit out of the way, take this class with Dr. Wolf!

Honestly, this class isn't bad at all. If you keep up with the perusall, which is based on readings and short annotations, and go to class, it's easy to get an A. The exam is given to you in advance with well enough time to study.

It's definitely not as bad as people are making it sound. It's a lecture heavy class because it is history but overall I think it is fine. The homework is just readings but you only need to submit a few annotations for it. Tests are hard but she gives plenty of study material

As long as you keep up with perusall, which is used for readings and annotations, and participate minimally in class, you'll be fine. The stud guides are basically the test, so that's also pretty simple.

Easy content, she lectures a lot and some people think it's boring but I honestly got a lot from her lectures. Attendance is "mandatory" but only because she occasionally will give out in class assignments and you can only miss 3 without loosing some points, but after a while these stop. Exams are super easy if you just put in a bit of effort

She lectures a lot and makes you take paper notes, but she's very engaged in the course and is nice and open to feedback. Homework is graded on completion and not correctness and there are in-class assignments, so if you stay engaged then you'll do well. Study guides are just like exams. Also meet with your TA, it helps in writing the final essay!

Aka Mary Wolf btw! Took her 1945-Present class & liked it a lot bc it was a smaller class where we could split the readings equally/learn from each other. We also played 2 React to the Past games which I thought I would hate, but it was actually chill bc we had no tests. If u hate reading & writing, don't take. Dr. Wolf is awesome tho!

Montgomery Wolf is a very lecture-heavy professor where attendance is optional but there are lecture activities that are graded. All of the assignments are graded by TAs that you are assigned to which makes it a little subjective. If you listen in class and take notes as well as study the study guides before exams you will be fine.

My main complaint is that she takes awhile to grade. That said, I thought her class was really interesting and I actually really loved the RTTP games (my class played two) that we did. Really easy class overall, almost no reading compared to other history classes, a few essays, and the only test we had for a grade was a final exam. Fun class

There are daily homework assignments, but not difficult and make up most of your grade. There are 3 major writing assignments in total, where grading depended on the TA. But TAs are very helpful during office hours. Its tedious to study for the exams because she gives a list of 70 terms, but only asks about 3. Great Lecturer and so nice!

This was my fav class of the semester. Lots of reading but that's history so it is expected. Your grade relies heavily on who your TA is. Yet I had the harshest grading TA and slimly made it out with an A+. Dr.Wolf's lectures are very interesting and she starts every class with a song. Do all of the extra credit possible so you get A+ and not A.

Chill professor. Classes were lecture heavy, but PowerPoints are posted after class. One chapter is assigned before each class for homework, very doable if you split it up. Easy class for someone who has taken APUSH in HS. Only consisted of 2 exams, both given very detailed and helpful study guides, and one paper, which was very spread out.

Dr. Wolf's lectures were very easy to follow. You will be asked to handwrite notes instead of type them, but I found this helped me more than when I type my notes in other classes. Honestly just show up, listen, and take notes. You'll be fine. The exams are written responses so get ready to write.

I really enjoyed Dr.Wolf's class. I found it much easier than APUSH and her study guides prepare you for exactly what to expect on the exam. Do your work and study and you should get an easy A.

Fun class-roleplay heavy, but in a fun way and not a "wtf?" way. Class focuses on counterculture and watergate through two "Reacting to the Past" games, which span across about 6-8 class sessions each. Its important you are in class, but shes cool as long as you email and dont make it a habit. Overall, engaging and fun and quirky, lovely professor.

This class is lecture-heavy but Professor Wolf explains topics clearly and provides powerpoints after class. Attendance is not mandatory but there are random in-class assignments. The exams consist of an essay and 2 short answers about terms. However, she provides a helpful study guide a week before. Enjoyed her lectures but lots of test-prep!

Dr. Wolfe has great lectures and its easy to stay engaged in her class, however there is lots of but its not hard you can complete it late and still get full credit. Attendance isn't mandatory but random classes she will give assignments in groups for a grade so you definitely don't want to miss the opportunity for an A. Would take this class again

I love Dr. Wolf! She gives a study guide before every exam that basically gives you the answers. The TAs are a bit tough on grading but overall it was a great class. The only thing is her lectures are fast and you have to pay attention for which her PPTs don't include all the info you need, but she doesn't allow you to use your laptop to take notes

She's a really huge fan of the format of this course (2112H) and it shows. Assignments are a bit tough time-wise, but she does her best to listen to the students and figure out what works best. You as a student have a pretty large hand in how this class goes.

Class format was React to the Past, which she clearly loves to teach. My first History class at UGA, and I found it easy to keep up with the minimal readings. 4 or 5 papers and an in class blue-book final. Quirky, fun, passionate! Really enjoyed this class.

At first, I was skeptical of the React to the Past format of the class, but after going through it, I've come to realize how helpful it was in improving my speaking skills, getting to know my classmates, and truly understanding and acting out history rather than merely observing it. And Dr. Wolf was very passionate, caring, and insightful!

Attendance is mandatory, and there's homework almost every day. However, the homework isn't very hard, it's just reading and making annotations. I didn't find this class very hard, especially if you took APUSH in high school! For the tests, she sends out exact study guides of what will be on the test. There are some pretty big papers, though!
