At first I didn't see the relevance of school to everyday life, but she makes the connection between theory and reality really clear. Awesome prof! Looking back she's the best this whole year. Hard at first but now I see why.

People who give bad rating would have more credibility if they had the correct course number. It's SY *100*, not 101. Morgan has been super easy to talk to and really helpful to everyone I know.

If you are the kind of male who doesn't enjoy her class or lecture in the least, think of it this way: she's feeding and watering you so you can grow a brain. I'm a male and I have enjoyed having my mind expanded.

Great lecture, she's awesome. Tutorials depend on who you get. Guest lectures sometimes great, sometimes not.

Harder than you think. Don't be scared of the leather... she is *tough* but not mean. Young enough to still have a clue.

She is an awesome teacher and really clarifies what she is talking about, although she is really intimidating at first she is awesome when you have one on one time

Makes every class interesting and is able to create a comfortable environment for her students so they can interact with one another.

Lectures are fine, other than being too long and often extending past the alotted time. She doesn't care that people have class in jam packed buildings on the other end of campus (small as it may be)which often makes you late.

Prof Holmes is an excellent teacher. She's always got an intersting annecdote to back up her lessons, which are easy to follow along with. She is the one teacher that I've absolutly loved listening to in my first year at WLU.

Initially you'll think that she doesn't give a s***(she swears like a trucker..it's very funny)about anything, but the truth is, she cares a whole lot and especially her students!!

Yeah, it would be nice to always be fed by the prof. She is really knowledgeable, but it's good to have presentations for us to try to develop our own knowledge. Not her fault that some presenters are lazy and boring.

Morgan defies all expectations of the typical professor, except that she is well-versed in so many sectors. HOWEVER, I would strongly recommend that we take a second look at the random quote phenomenon and the marking system.

She is a really good prof. I didn't like the presentations, but her lectures are very interesting and she is willing to help if you need it.

Amazing professor, who challenges students to question and think beyond the norms that structure our lives. She encourages critical thinking more than regurgitation unlike some professors in the faculty. She is very well informed and we are lucky to have her in the Laurier community.

She is one one the most amazing professors I have ever had. She challenges us on a day to day basis and exeeds her expected role as a professor! Absolutely amazing!

As a course assistant I can absolutely say that she does NOT pad her ratings on this site. She's very helpful with people who want to think at university. She's really clear with difficult concepts. People who attend class remember stuff she lectured about years later.

seems intimidating, but I think she wants us to think that way. One of those people that use extreme statistics for shock value. Tests on textbook material, very easy. Assigns very little work. Easy to approach

Class would be better if groups were monitored more. Funny lectures. Tests were REALLY tough nad its weird not to know what's going to be on hte tests in advance.

Outstanding. She is absolutley brilliant. For people who are looking for more then just flying through university BUT actually learning, she is amazing.

As a professor, Dr. Holmes has a wonderful personality and she really makes the classes interesting - but it won't be to everyone's taste. She is a difficult marker and her instructions are sometimes unclear, so it's wise to ask a lot of questions. The lectures compliment the text, and I found they had nothing to do with the test and final exam.

Honestly, one of my favourite professors. Passionate about what she teaches and passionate about engaging students. If you attend class, ask questions and do the readings, there is no reason you can't get a great mark. Holmes is a more than fair marker especially when you show that you aren't afraid to question societal norms. I recommend her 100%.

By far, Morgan Holmes was my favourite professor this year. I took Sociology of Medicine with her, and by no means is she an easy marker, but it is possible to get an A, I did! My first A in University. You will be humbled by the extent of her knowledge. If you pay attention and participate in class, and take the class seriously, you will do great.

Professor Holmes is not only helpful but is truly passionate about what she is educating her students on. I must say that she is one of the most influential professors I have ever had. Not an easy marker, however, if you pay attention and attend her classes you will succeed. She is amazing.

Very passionate... Her lectures can be fun at times, she adds a lot of humor. Sure, she is a little different than most professors, but it makes for a more interesting class.

Extremely passionate. She'll bring up her rough childhood at least once per lecture, but it always had something to do with the lesson. I loved going to her class. She was intimidating, but she was helpful if you asked. Tests are hard, memorizing the lectures won't get you past a 60. Know the textbook cover to cover.
