Dr. Meyers did amazing for it only being her first semester teaching. Minimal work outside of class, with weekly quizzes on prep and class material, and her tests arent that difficult if you understand her lectures. Shes one of the only professors Ive had who talks about real world issues and how biology applies to those real world issues.
Dr. Meyer's is a great professor! The test are slightly difficult, but if you take notes from her powerpoints it isn't that bad. There are weekly quizzes which have no limit of attempts and "reflections" both of which are simple and easy 100's. Attendance isn't mandatory because she'll post the lecture recording online but I recommend going anyway!
She is the best professor I have ever had. Theres no final exam, there is a final project though. She is so nice and caring, and her expectations are clearly outlined. Tests were online and she is accessible outside of class. Words cant describe how much I loved this class and professor.
Meyers isn't particularly a bad professor however I would not take her class again. I wouldn't recommend her for neurodivergent people as I have found it hard to learn from the way she teaches. Class is only lectures and not interactive, she also is not lenient whatsoever with grading or late work. The material covered was not hard but boring
Dr. Meyers is definitely one of my favorite professors. You can literally feel her passion toward lectures. Biology is not my major nor my favorite subject, but I really enjoyed her class! She gave us an extra credit opportunity as well.
I really loved this class! Though the tests were online and open note, they could still be very tricky at times. She has lots of easy assignments that boost your grade such as weekly quizzes with unlimited attempts, weekly reflections, and showing up to class.
Great teacher and great class! She gives a lot of quizzes and reflections so make sure to get 100s on everything you can so you have room for mistakes during the tests! The test are difficult but open note so make sure to study even though its open note. Participate in class, pay attention during lectures, get 100s on every small thing!
Professor Meyers did help expand my knowledge of biology but she is a very tough grader. The last grade for the class is a group project worth around 20% of your grade and we followed the instructions to a T and still made a low B. Also her class is fast and very lecture heavy. I made a high B but I wouldnt take it again.
Professor Meyers is great! She is very organized and if you go to lectures, you should be fine. Quizzes had unlimited attempts. Some tests were a bit too long given the time allowed, but they were all online. Final group project was fairly easy and there was no final
Dr. Meyers teaches like she’s a middle school teacher. There are lots of worksheets and her lectures aren’t structured in a way that actually helps you learn the content. Tough grader it’s ridiculous. She treats us like kids but tests us super difficultly.
Honestly, Dr. Meyers was awesome. When she says to focus on key ideas for tests LISTEN TO HER!!! It becomes clear what she expects you to know after the first exam, if you pay attention it is a breeze. Group project instead of final & a lot of cushion for your grade w/weekly reflection, quiz, and an extra credit at the end of the semester.
not sure if it's the course or professor but this class felt like a high school class. extremely easy content and lectures were ok. professor meyers likes to talk A LOT. Easy to pass but beware she's a tough grader and is weirdly super strict on deadlines. she will NOT hesitate to lower your grade
I thought Dr. Meyers was an amazing professor and very organized. All of the assignments are done online. There's a reflection and quiz with unlimited tries every week. Also, 4 exams that are open note. Attendance is required but she's very considerate during this time with COVID. If you at least try to participate using TopHat, you'll be fine.
Professor Meyers made the lectures easy to follow and understand. She gives you access to the free textbook but you don't have to read it. She grades hard on the assignments so make sure you do everything right. The exams are specific but as long as you pay attention you'll be good.
This was Dr. Meyers's first time teaching 1108, and I think she did a great job. The class was fairly easy, especially for a condensed summer class. The tests were very straightforward and most of the questions came directly from her lecture. I enjoyed this class and Dr. Meyers's teaching.
Easy content. However, if you have outside circumstances that could impact your grade, you're out of luck. She doesn't care. The most unreasonable professor I've had at UGA. She preaches health/positivity, yet will tank your grade over little mistakes or illness. Attendance is also ridiculous, I have in the 70's for very few missed classes.
Meyers is so sweet. 10% participation, 40% exams. Tests are kinda hard but they're only 10% of your grade each and they're open note. Weekly reflections and quizzes. Sort of feels like an elementary school class but she's great. Opportunity for extra credit to add around 1.5-2% to final grade.
She's very passionate & organized. Way too much busy work though. There's no final (a final project instead), but there's an additional test in her class compared to my others during the regular semester, so it's not a benefit or anything. No late work accepted, so don't bother trying. Attendance is too strict. Good extra credit opportunities tho!
Very easy class but a decent amount of busy work. If you try you should get an A- no problem.
She has good intentions when teaching but she treats the class like they are 3rd graders. Very easy class, easy tests, insane amount of work for a low level bio class.
Tests were open note and the final was a project with a random group (so hopefully you get a good group). Attendance was mandatory but the lectures were easy and interesting. Would recommend.
Dr. Meyers is such a caring professor. Her exams are the lecture slides and outside reading verbatim. She gives a few bigger assignments that are not stressful and a final group video project. She is an angel on Earth and offers plenty of help for anyone that needs it. She also chooses relevant and interesting material to cover.
Tophat used to take attendance and earn participation points. 4 units, with 1 assignment, 1 test, and a few quizzes each. Assignments can be turned in late for partial credit, but quizzes (due before class) cannot. The tests can be kinda confusing, but they're open note. No final exam. There is a final group project and groups are randomly assigned
She's an amazing lecturer who really cares about her students and made Biology feel easy. Tests are open notes, so if you pay attention, this class should be an easy A. If you need a Bio credit I can't recommend this class enough.
I have enjoyed this class! There are normally 2-3 assignments a week that are easy. The tests are open notes, but make sure to study some beforehand. The only thing I don't really like about this class is how the final project is a group project. Relying on a group for such a big grade, isn't great, especially if you are stuck with a bad one.
This class was very easy and as long as you complete the weekly quizzes and discussion posts, you'll pass. The tests are difficult but if you prepare you'll be ok.
Her lectures are easy to understand, and she teaches with great passion. She talks about wellness and human rights during lecture which makes her seem kind, however be warned when talking to her personally because she is snarky and doesn't care about your personal circumstances or life despite the amount of work she gives for such a basic class.
Meyers was good. I personally did not like her teaching style because it seemed extra and excessive. I would recommend because she is very easy for bio 1104. We had a quiz and reflection weekly, but the quiz was open note and done outside of class. The reflections are 200 words (easy). Tests are open note too.
This class is so much excessive busy work. All of the busy work is easy, but it just becomes a lot at once. Tests can be confusing but are luckily open note. Overall, you can definitely get an A in this course, but it is just a pain with the busy work. Also, a huge portion of your grade is a group project, and your group is assigned.
Morgan Meyers is a good professor but lectures are boring. Class is easy but there is a lot of unnecessary assignments and busy work. There are weekly quizzes and reflections. Tests are open note but the questions are way more in depth than what we learned in class so beware.
This class is mainly busy work. Dr. Meyers does a good job keeping her lectures applicable and interesting, but this class overall is pretty boring. There are weekly quizzes and reflections, assignments throughout the semester, a final group project, and 4 unit exams. If you are non-STEM and need a life science, I recommend this class.
Such a chill class. Dr. Meyers is very organized and clear with directions. Assignments aren't difficult but help your grade a lot. Exams are online and open note. Attendance is graded based on TopHat attendance based on your location. Lectures are not very engaging but very informative and easy to follow. Honestly can't say many bad things.
This was the first run of 2104H and prof did pretty well. Some of the lectures were boring/overwhelming but she was always there for questions in and out of the class. Some days were lectures and others were for case studies. Homework/Participation/Classwork are 50% altogether and (open-note) tests are 50%. Take her if you aren't a bio major.
I thought she was a chill professor. Her lectures were really interesting, and she is very knowledgeable about the subjects she teaches. There is a bit of busy work, but it is all super easy and helps boost your grade. Tests are open notes and online, and the final exam is a group project. Overall, it is an easy class and not very stressful.
The class is an easy A, but it was so boring that I wanted to cry. There was a lot of busy work, but all of the tests were online.
Do not take Dr. Meyers. She seems very sweet but she's not lenient at all. She spends way too much time going over the content for the class and it feels too slow. You assume that the exams will be easy based on how simplified all her notes and her way of teaching is. Her tests do a terrible job of reflecting what you learn in class.
Dr. Meyers is an amazing professor always extremely prepared for class, gives extra credit opportunities, and is overall very good at explaining the material. She can sometimes move a little slowly and her exams can kinda be a little wordy. This makes the exams a little harder than you would expect. Overall she's great.
Dr. Meyers is a good professor but for a lower-level biology class for non-stem majors, the workload was not what I expected. You are offered a cheat sheet on exams which helps but without this, I would not be doing well. Her lectures are long and she will use every second of every class. Overall she is not awful but not great either.
Her instruction and the content she teaches is pretty straightforward. If you come to class and pay attention you'll be just fine.
Dr. Meyers was great. The lectures were exactly what was on the tests and you are allowed a half sheet of notes for each test. There are weekly quizzes (unlimited attempts) and reflections that help boost your grade, as well as some extra credit opportunities. She takes attendance through TopHat and her tests have been changed to in-person.
Dr. Meyers is very caring and makes bio concepts really easy to understand. As long as you keep up with the work, you'll be fine.
DO NOT TAKE HER. you have to come to every class and then the test doesn't even correlate to the material. she is a huge time waster and the worst professor I have ever had.
Based on the previous ratings, she changed the layout of her class, and it is extremely difficult. I spent hours studying for her tests, and did not do as well on them as I had hoped. I feel like her exams do not line up with her lectures. Also, her grading criteria has not been clear, and as a result, my grade has suffered. Don't take her.
She was ok. She treats the class like we are little kids and some of the things we learned in class were not in the test at all. She gives you half a sheet to use on test and is not helpful like 60% of the time during the test. She does give out lots of extra credit and helps boost grade. Gives assigned groups for final project.
Her lectures are slow but comprehensive, and she posts both the slides and video recordings of the class. She allows a half sheet of notes for tests, but the tests are moderately difficult. There are only a few time-consuming assignments, but make sure you remember all of the due dates.
Dr. Meyers was a great professor! She grades easily and is super passionate about what she teaches. Attendance is mandatory and lectures can sometimes be a little lengthy and boring, but it's worth it for the easy A. For tests, she gives a cheat sheet you can bring on exam day. Other assignments are easy, just make sure to keep up with deadlines.
Mandatory attendance via TopHat with embedded questions for completion. Gives half sheet of paper for tests, but if not for this, I would not have done well. Lecture heavy and very unclear what will be on tests (when you ask, she says look at lecture goals). Final project was very tedious. Weekly unlimited quizzes on elc. Kinda passive aggressive.
Meyers is an organized individual with your whole course planned for the whole semester. However, she is sometimes passive-aggressive towards students with her responses. Long-winded lectures. The tests are no longer taken at home you have to come in person, but you get a cheat sheet. Tests are worded weirdly sometimes too. Overall, shes ok.
I loved Dr. Meyers! She knew her content well and all of the assignments were easy. There are only 4 exams and a final project video, but all of it was doable. The last exam was questionable considering the class average was in the 70's... but other than that she grades work fairly. The content is super easy since it's over stuff I already know.
Okay- tests are online with half a sheet of notes but are in-person during regular class time. Lots of busy work assignments that pad your grade if you don't do well on the tests. Lecture heavy and boring class. Can also be a little passive aggressive at times and even though there was no final we still had to attend during finals time slot.
dr. morgan was a good professor. her lectures could be very boring and her prep reading was overwhelming, but the material itself was fairly easy to comprehend and the tests weren't too hard
i loved dr meyers, she did her best to make a boring class interesting. take her if you can. got an A. tests are kind of hard but you get a half sheet of notes- draw diagrams on them, that helped me. and actually study! projects are not bad, assignments are incredibly easy. i actually learned a lot. if taking lab, take sofia varriano, she rocks!
Dr. Meyers was a solid teacher. She really knows her stuff and can make the hard concepts seem easy. Final project was with a group but was graded really leniently.
I found the lectures a bit boring and difficult to follow. I don't think I was the only one though, as class averages on tests were typically pretty low, ranging from a low C to B. This wasn't a very difficult class however, it just requires a bit of extra work, and Professor Meyers is easily accessible.
She is such a sweetie. Explains things well, but her lectures are long. She has extra credit, and her tests are not hard at all if you study.
This class was incredibly easy, especially if you've taken bio before. The professor is great. Cares about us, flexible, a good lecturer. If I didn't know everything already, the class would be super interesting. If you get a bad group, switch as fast as you can, she is flexible about groups but won't really enforce attendance or participation.
Dr. Meyes was an okay lecturer. There are many assignments that are done in class and outside of class too. The material is easy to learn and the exams are not bad at all. You get a cheat sheet to use on exams. Group project, which she assigns the groups, is your "final exam" and is a big chunk of your grade, so hopefully your group is nice.
Not bad at all for a biology class. I was nervous going in because of reviews, but if you study the slides and write on your cheat sheet all the learning objectives for each chapter you will do fine on the exams. Grades easily on assignments and group project is your final exam. She is also willing to help outside of class!
Super easy class. We were allowed half a page of notes on the tests and if you can write small and copy down the slides you'll do fine. I never really had to study. No final, just a group project that was very easy and we were given class time to complete.
You will be assigned a group to sit with the rest of the year to do discussions with, and then complete the final project with. Meyers is a nice person and can be reached out to outside of class easily, but her lectures can drag on. The tests are "open note" if you write down all of your notes on the orange sheet of paper she gives you.
Meyers is not a bad professor by any means, but there was just not absolutely amazing that stood out to me. You get assigned a group that you have to do work with for the rest of the semester. Her lectures can also drag on a lot. You can use a half sheet of paper that you can use as a "cheat sheet" for tests so definitely take advantage of that.
Meyers is super knowledgeable and gears this class to give non-bio majors actually important information! Her lectures are genuinely a slog sadly, and sometimes it feels like we got too focused on arbitrary learning goals or concepts than the actual material itself! Shes pretty receptive and sweet regardless, but tests are in person and lockdown!
She is a very nice professor but her class made me feel like I was not in college. We spent a lot of time learning stuff that was common sense and her lectures got pretty boring after a while. Also your grade is pretty dependent on your group projects, and I personally got stuck with a terrible group which sucks. Tests aren't too hard though.
Easy course, but this is class is where enthusiasm goes to die. Class consists of only lectures that are boring after a while and attendance is mandatory. Test weren't really hard, and I averaged a 90 on exams with only studying a few hours before the test. Make sure you study the learning goals listed on lecture slides before exams.
This class is by no means difficult, but the lectures are so boring and void of anything thought provoking- it is genuinely a pain to come to class. She teaches to a room full of children and assumes absolutely no background knowledge, which can be good for some. Tests are super easy and all MC, but she grades tough for the scope of the class.
The lectures are long and incredibly dull. Tests were moved to in-person, lockdown browser. U are graded on group projects throughout the semester, so pray you are assigned a good group. For a non-bio major class, this is graded ridiculously hard. Make sure to study the lecture goals at the beginning of the slides, and you will do fine on the tests
Do not take her. She seems like shes a great presenter and seems like she gives off great information. However, none of what she ever talks about is on her exams. She's a heavy grader and and theres little to no room for error.
SHE IS AMAZING!!! She is the best bio teacher I have ever encountered. I highly recommend taking her over the summer. If you understand the learning objectives you will be fine. Also, she records her lectures and uploads her slides and easily accessible. It is so helpful to utilize her office hours.
I had to end up dropping this class because of the work load/ tests. She uses Mcgraw Hill, and the amount of work she expects you to complete is insane. She acts as if we don't have other classes. Highly do NOT recommend her.
Talks all of class. Homework is NOT what she talks about in class :) Uses McGraw Hill (red flag). Have to write reflections before and after EACH unit (am i 5 and is this an english class?) Group work is heavy--if you get a bad group good luck. She treats non-bio major students like they are in in elementary school. online tests w lockdown browser
She talks like a kindergarten teacher but is so condescending. I cannot stand her.
One of the most painful classes I have ever taken. I like biology and science but she made the subject so hard to listen to and enjoy or even learn. And she teaches like she's talking to kids.
It sucks that she is the only professor who currently teaches this course. The assignments are easy, but the amount of work is crazy and unnecessary. The class felt like an elementary school class but with a ton of work. She should honestly teach kindergarten, there is nothing professor-like about her.
yall she makes interesting topics like climate change and mass extinction brain-numbingly BORING. i didn't even know it that was possible. the entire class is based off middle-school level busywork and she treats us like we are children. even with all that said, exams were harder than expected. if at all possible, DO NOT take her.
by all means PLEASE do yourself a favor and take a different class. It is a shame she is the only professor for bio1104. She uses mcgraw hill and has a reflection after each unit. The work load in this class is truly unbearable, I had to drop this class simply because I couldn't keep up. Her tests are online but uses a lockdown browser/in person
This class is frustrating. The McGraw-Hill assignments don't align with lectures, and the workload is intense, especially at the end of the semester with multiple projects and reflections due at once. Communication and feedback on tests are limited. Consider other options if possible.
There are so many assignments that are just a waste of time. Lectures all class, just reiterating what is on the powerpoint slides. Attitude.
Simply put a terrible professor, none of the material you learn in class or homework will align with the exams. You have to study the topics outside of the material provided and use the material as a MAYBE guideline for the topics you will need to research on your own. Obviously the lectures are dull, you can see that from other reviews.
It's a shame that she's a sweet person. Her tests are not quite related to what we talk about in class. Talking to classmates, average was about a low B high C range, which is low for an easy science. She talks to us so condescendingly.
Exams were harder than lecture content. Lectures were boring and she lectures at us like we're children
I don't recommend taking Morgan Meyers. She teaches like a elementary school teacher and the lectures in class barely grasp the difficulty of the tests. She separates the class into groups and you may be lucky with a good group or unlucky with a bad group. She also makes up ridiculous stuff about climate change powering women's rights.
She doesn't drop your lowest exam grade, which is disappointing considering a good amount of exam questions are related to topics that were either 1) not explained fully or 2) not mentioned on the homework. She is nice, but that does not hold much weight when your grade is being negatively impacted by course faults that could be amended.
The information given on the lecture slides is nothing like the exam. She teaches like you are in elementary school and she LOVES group work so if you get a bad group you are COOKED. There is also a ton of homework for no reason. This is by far the worst class I've ever taken I would steer clear from this class
she just low key isn't a good teacher. I studied so much from the McGraw hill and PowerPoints and still somehow did bad on the tests. She sucks at communication so good luck with that. I went to class and didn't do good on her tests. Not a fan
Her tests don't line up with the homework we do on McGraw Hill or even the stuff we talk about in class. Booooooo
Dr. Meyer's class was something I looked forward to every week. She connected the class topics to real-life scenarios and showed interesting videos at the end of class if we finished the lectures early. Grade is based on before-class connect assignments and 4 Exams, all of which you are allowed a notecard of notes for.
She made class feel so long. Group final project that is easy and offers extra credit, but tests are hard and are nothing like what we go over in lectures. Does not respond to emails in a timely manner. Homework and textbook are on connect.
I would not recommend this class to anyone who is NOT a biology major. I have never met a more uptight Gen ed professor that is THAT strict about people going to class. The class is not fun and very painful to sit through, she puts on a show in class but does not actually care about you individually. HW does not correlate to exams at all!!
This class was insanely easy but lectures were long and boring. She lets you type notes and also lets you make a cheat sheet for every exam that she also allows you to type. I did take AP bio before this but the content seemed below the level of AP honestly. I had a good group so the final project took us about 2 hours total.
Meyers is a nice person in itself but this class was dreadful. lectures were so boring and sometimes felt unrelated to the tests on McGraw Hill. grades too strictly for a gen ed class imo and is patronizing. weekly connect prep assignments which weren't too bad, and note sheets for the tests. overall not the worst but would def not recommend
She is fine. Attendance matters and you really need to do all the homework. She posts all the slideshows she goes over in class so I honestly never paid attention and just did work for other classes. The cheat sheet on the exams is nice so take advantage of that
The class is easy but a bit boring. There are four exams (with a cheat sheet) and a group project that ends in a showcase. Assignments are frequent but simple. Attend class and complete all assignments and an A is easily obtainable. Dr. Meyers is nice, though her lectures can be dull.
Meyers is nice but her lectures are a bit boring. The class itself is pretty easy. There are four exams (you get a cheat sheet) and a group project that counts as your final. There are a lot of assignments but they are easy and quick. Just go to class and complete all the assignments and you'll most likely get an A.
There is a lot of homework in this course, but it is doable. The exams are hard but passable if you listen and take notes in class. Personally, I wouldn't take this course again because she's not the best teacher but it is doable.
I was told the class was easy, but Dr. Morgan was just one of the most passive-aggressive professors I had met. Given how boring the lectures were, there was no reason for the test to cover content that would not even be in the lectures. I am not usually as complaining when it comes to this, but you do have to put the work and time into this class.
I'm a 4th year & Dr. Meyers was probably one of the least enjoyable professors I have ever had. Many test questions are on obscure topics from the slides that have zero relevancy to the actual material. There's not really a full-proof way to study for them. She's passive aggressive, very judgmental, & a hard grader. Stay away if you can
Very boring and does not care about her students at all. Extremely particular about stuff. This class is more time-intensive than most 4000 level classes... She also would not round my 89.8 to a 90 so that I could get an A- instead of a B+. For a class that is not directly required by ANY major at the school, it was way too involved.
Not the best. I was able to get through the class due to her allowing a half-sheet filled front and back for every test. The test questions are very confusing and poorly formatted. I did enjoy her lectures and I found myself retaining the information. She is a little passive-aggressive, such as making comments about people packing up early.
the group project at the ends but she teaches like youre in kindergarten so its an easy a just boring
level 10 yapper but sweet. 4 exams, 4 assignment, 2 group projects, no final but final presentation instead. you can tell she loves her job, but tends to over explain things. very helpful and would recommend.
Dr.Meyers seems like a very nice person, and you can tell that she genuinely loves teaching biology. A Connect subscription ($40) is needed. The tests are representative of the slides, and she allows us to bring in a half sheet of paper with facts into exams. Assigns a whole lot of homework and reflections. Not the easiest class, but it wasn't hard.
I personally enjoyed Dr. Meyers class. Her lectures are long, and she tends to overexplain things unnecessarily, but she is very helpful and accessible outside of class. Tophat attendance with 10% allowed for absences, 4 extra credit opportunities throughout semester, final group project instead of exam, connect prep homework, but not too bad.
Dr. Meyers is kind and caring towards her students. She can tend to over-explain things, but that also means it's hard to be confused during her lectures. The tests are super fair with the material covered in class, and you can bring in a cheat-sheet. Connect Prep homework, tests, attendance, and unit assignments with a group project as a final.
She seems like a nice person but this class was very extra and annoying at times. She always talks until the last possible second. The assignment due dates can be weird and sometimes the instructions can be weirdly specific. Class is easy but can be very annoying.
The amount of work you have to do in the class is egregious. I'm talking multiple time consuming homework assignments EVERY WEEK along with weekly reflections, unit assignments, group projects, and in class worksheets/assignments. I spent more time on this class than any other class, and I'm not even a biology major!
I don't know if it was her decision to make 94 the cutoff for an A vs. A-, but that is the only issue I had with her. Lectures were long, but she kept them interesting. Attendance is mandatory. Assignments were a bit dull, but not an insane amount of work. The final was a randomly assigned group project.
I feel like going into Dr. Meyers class I was anxious due to her RMP reviews, but she really isn't bad. There is your usual MH work, and sometimes she may get off topic, but for the most part she was a well-rounded professor and her class was not too bad. Study the learning objectives and you'll be fine.
Tests were way too difficult for being a non-bio major. Also we can only miss twice? C'mon Im not a bio major. Easy respectively but so much course work. Once again, Im not a bio major so why is this class treated like that?? If you can find another professor, go with them. Only use Dr. Meyers as a last resort. this class will drive you insane.
way too much work for a non major class, busy work and then even more busy work.
This class has a heavy workload but is worth it in my opinion. Be careful with the group projects- my group member submitted the wrong assignment when another of us had already submitted the correct one, and we all got an F for that part of the project. Besides that, I love her! Her lectures are interesting and I've learned a lot!
I thought this class was very easy, but it's bc I've alr learned all the content. If you don't know these topics already I can understand how some units (reproduction specifically) can be difficult. There is MGH work & weekly reflections which can sometimes take a bit but they're pretty easy, albeit busy work. Group project is the worst part imo.
I lover her and she is great at explaining. Very organized, every unit has a calendar detailing homework and what will be covered in class. Lecture slides are gorgeous and beautiful. She is very nice!!
Dont listen to the bad reviews, she is not passive aggressive, and the work load is not that bad. She is actually really nice and always has a good, positive attitude. The lectures are rly easy to follow
The curriculum seems very easy, but the material on the tests is MUCH more difficult than what is discussed in the lectures. Tophat is used for attendance and participation and lectures are a little boring. Dr Meyers is approachable and nice, but the tests are just wayyyy harder than they need to be.
The class itself is relatively easy, however, Dr. Meyers is very annoying and will talk until the end of class every time. She is very sweet and means well, but it was honestly a pain to sit through her lectures. Also the homework load was excessive and was not helpful for the exams. Still, this class was not bad by any means.
if you wanna waste hours of your life listening to a whole lot of nothing this is the class for you. everything has a trigger warning or something where she goes on and on about how everyone thinks differently or whatever. its exhausting and we are forced to listen to it and write about our feelings. its half bio and half reflection on feelings
I loved Dr. Meyers. I never had to prepare much for the exams because we got a cheat sheet, not that the content was particularly difficult anyway. She's so sweet, and there's a lot of busy work, but I didn't mind because it helped my grade not rely on exams so much! Very good at explaining things as well. Not too hard of a class but she's actually so annoying soooo much busy work and random assignments all the time. Keeps us until last possible second every single class people walk out while she's still talking. Harsh grader. Not even a STEM major class... don't take her
She didn't round my 89.9 to an A- and instead I got a B+. The first 3 exams weren't too bad, but you definitely need to study the learning goals outside of class. The fourth exam was absolutely ridiculous and she loves McGraw hill.
Her class was not hard but she gave so much busy work. The tests were not hard either, especially since she lets you have a note card. Its not a hard class, just annoying and unnecessary
