He is hands down the best professor i have ever worked with and i would recommend him to anyone!!!

Mr. Barshooi is an excellent teacher! He has a great, sensible method of teaching. I love his class and plan to stick with him from Algebra through Calc II. He always engages the class and ensures that each student understands the concept. He loves when students ask questions, and especially loves when other students can answer those questions.

Mr. Barshooi is the fourth math teacher that I've taken classes with at CPCC, and he is by far the best teacher of them all! He's great at taking crazy complex concepts and breaking them down into simple terms that are easier for regular people to understand. I've taken Calc 1 & 2 with him now. Hopefully I can take Cal 3 & Diff EQ with him too.

He's very straightforward; if you do your work + your homework, you should be fine. His tests are not the easiest nor the toughest, however, he won't bring anything from outside the material he teaches. I believe that his strongest point is how dedicated he is to help his students and motivate them. And he is the nicest professor I've seen.

Professor Barshooi, whether most students like it or not, his style is preparing them for the University level more than they realize. The work is on you, and he creates an interactive atmosphere in which the knowledge is not spoon fed. He could not set students up for success any more than he does. He is the most available teacher at CPCC as well.

Barshooi is a very nice guy. Math is not an easy subject but he tries everything that's possible to make us understand. When it comes to testing he gives practice problems and review before our test, however, he won't bring anything from outside the material he teaches. we only use the E-book, hardcover is optional!!!!!

Assigns harder questions from the book but you know what to expect for the test as the test questions come from the homework. If you study and know the homework you will do well. He will bend over backwards to help you.

His tests are straight from the homework and the material he teaches in class. Taking calc 2 means you already realize you're not in high school anymore. The teacher can only do so much, the rest is on you. However, he ensures you get all the help you need and you can always find him is his office.

He gives test reviews and has office hours. He makes It feel like your with family during class and office hours. Recommended heavily.

Morteza made it clear from day one that he wanted everyone in the class to pass. He made it very clear what was going to be on each test, I always knew what I needed to study. The lectures were not the greatest but the homework website (WebAssgin) made studying a breeze. He is a very lenient grader and does not stress the small stuff.

I have Mr. Barshooi for three consecutive semesters. He is awesome. He won't trick you on exams; He won't step you down if you want to achieve a better grade, and he will help you instead. I took this class after transferring between schools and I hadn't taken calc 1 for 3 years. I was very intimated at first but Barshooi inspired me into not giving up on it. You need to ask him questions when you don't understand and he will really take the time to help you get it.

He teaches differently from other professors such as allowing students to go up to the board and work on problems and if we don't understand then he jumps in. We learn together as a class. He's very professional with good humour and he loves his Panera Bread.

I would personally encourage you to take Mr, Barshooi's class because his way of organizing the date of the assignments such as web assign, signature assignment and testes are flexible and he cares a lot about the student to learn . He also many times reminded us ahead of time our assignments and testes and his teaching is awesome.

Hes one of the best math teachers Ive had at CPCC. If you really want to pass this class you have to be in class all the time and pay attention. We used an online textbook that came with Aleks, overall hes funny and an amazing professor. I recommend everyone to take this class with him.

I have taken Morteza Barshooi sir class which was pretty much online due to covid and was pretty apprehensive to take trig online but thank god I took it. There are no labs in this class and tests are very easy which are based upon test reviews. There are no extra assignments. If you dont take his class you will regret it. If you want AorB take it

Teacher Barshooi (what he likes to be called) is one of the best math professors I had, especially for higher maths. I had him for hybrid course for differential equation. His tests are basically the same questions as the webassign hw, which they all have explanations for. So as long as you do your homework, you'll definitely pass.

He is very forward on the first day and explains exactly how it will be. Some people who find his class hard simply did not listen. I'm not very good at math but he helped me in my Triginometery hybrid class where only two of us showed up so it was like a private tutor. He cares for his students and will help if you ask.

Barshooi really takes his time to be thorough in his online lectures and break down each problem. He's really good at explaining where the textbook doesn't. Class is centered around asking questions and solving problems on the board with peers, and Barshooi will step in where needed. Stay on top of your work and ask good questions to pass.

We were given the WebAssign work and lecture videos and notes and were able to learn everything and his tests come directly from the WebAssign. I love his open floor and student directed class. I took a blended course so all his lecture materials were online. So the only thing to do in class is practice and get clarity on any confusing topics. Just walk up to the board and you have a whole team to help you through it. During class the students demonstrate problems on the board instead of having a lecture. Come to office hours and he will give you more partial credit on wrong test questions. There are four timed open book at home tests that are straight out of the HW questions. I enjoyed taking MAT 272 with him but be prepared to learn the material on your own.

Professor Barshooi was a great professor. Trig was not an easy class, however hard work and dedication is what earned me a final grade of an A in the class. The instructions are clear for each assignment. He also offers web ex meetings which I would join to ask questions and receive help on difficult assignments. All in all good class!

I was very impressed with him and I would take his class again in a heartbeat. He offers AMPLE time outside of class to help any and all of his students!

Dr. Barshooi is the nicest and most inspirational professor I've had! He has tremendous experience teaching and will always spark up a conversation with literally anyone! He grades fairly and has clear expectations of what he expects from his students. If you get a chance, go to his office hours—he'll make your experience worthwhile.

Mr Barshooi is an incredibly nice teacher, like the other reviews say. The only issue is that I never feel like I get anything out of the lectures, as not much time is spent actually teaching. If you want to do well however, Mr Barshooi makes himself super available to helping you, and office hours are very convenient even if you dont need help.

Amazing experience with Mr. Barshooi. Still in his class now (I have a 99), his first time teaching differential equations over the summer, and I've known what I am doing throughout the entire class, and that's while working & taking 2 other summer courses! Very caring, do your homework, and you'll get the grade. Participate! Amazing professor.

Very motivational and perhaps the nicest teacher I have ever had. He pushes you to understand the ideas. They really do care about you doing your homework, not to get a grade, but for you to understand the learning and develop your thinking. He emphasizes the importance of homework since it is the most effective way to master the concept.

Try to take him in person if you can, otherwise you'll miss out on his personality. Make sure you participate in class and attend office hours. If he thinks you're not understanding something, he'll make sure you learn it. Unlike many professors I've had, you can tell he loves his students.

Professor Barshooi is one of the best professors I've ever had. He brought amazing energy to every differential equations class and made learning easy and fun. He truly cares about every student, adapts lessons to our needs, and supports us whenever we need help. A life-changing teacher—I'd take his class again in a heartbeat.
