This is the worst professor I have ever had. She is not a very good teacher and is not specific. She can be lenient with home works and grading but the tests are nothing like the home works so that can be difficult. She does not give feedback on projects and rarely responds to emails. Moral of the story: Do not take this professor if possible.

Her teaching style is a mess. She's very nice and personable, but when it comes down to knowing the information, you just end up being lost. This is a class you will have to teach yourself.

Avoid this professor at all costs. Her teaching style is very disorganized and you find yourself confused 5 minutes into the lecture. You basically have to teach yourself the class using the math software ALEKS. She did not provide constructive feedback for any of the tests or projects despite being a tough grader. Choose someone else.

This teacher is roughhhhhhh. she is so sweet but just so unorganized. had to pay so much money cause she told us to get this textbook that didn't have an access code. I only passed because of math help/tutoring. pretty sure half the class failed tho

This lady was really sweet but really bad at teaching. Everything from the lectures to the group projects are very vague with instructions. She doesn't really answer emails and will randomly call on you during class and make you work out an entire problem in front of the whole class until you get it right. I would NOT take her class...

Genuinely the worst professor I have had. Does not explain material, expects every student to have memorized the syllabus, and takes weeks to explain 1 section of 1 topic. Also incredibly condescending and loves to single students out. Unless you want high anxiety, do not take this class.

does not provide rubrics for any large assignments, does not reply to emails, does not let you choose groups. please avoid this teacher if possible! she is nice but also belittles students, and is a very harsh grader on assignments, wanting the most specific answers and taking off far too many points for being slightly off. not sympathetic at all.

Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this lady. She is an awful teacher. Disorganized. No rubrics for any project. She has assigned group members but doesn't tell you who they are. SPSS is awful. Insanely hard tests. And she is a tough grader.

While I found her to be caring and flexible with deadlines, the teaching style was not for me. I am a hardworking student and found I had to basically teach myself this course.Going to lectures only made me more confused on the content. At the end of the course I found that I barely came out with any knowledge of statistics. Doable but not 1 choice

AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS. Hardly knows what she is doing when it comes to giving assignments and she is generally unorganized. She is really confusing when she tries to answer questions about assignments. When it is time to give answers in class she will walk to the back of the class and pick on random people.

Statistics itself isn't that hard and neither is her class but she overcomplicates things. She's a very sweet lady but doesn't know how to teach. I had to teach myself the entire course, she is very hard to follow and will call out random students in the middle of class to answer and will make you feel bad if you get it wrong.

I am currently a student in Math 220 and I dread going to class everyday. She calls on students and gets angry when people do not understand what she is asking when she doesn't know how to teach. Confused how she got a degree in the first place. She even yells at the students who are doing well in the class. DOES NOT put grades in ever. Good luck

Please do not take this Mozhdeh, from the bottom of my heart. Just don't. This teacher is difficult to deal with, doesn't teach well at all and grades based on how much she likes the person. She will call on you in class, so beware of that, & when I didn't know the answer and she called on me I often felt stupid/embarrased.

Shes so rude to students during lectures. She actively tries to make people look like they don't pay attention or aren't trying hard enough in front of the class even when they clearly are. She's largely unorganized and doesn't respond well in emails, she is available during zoom office hours outside of class but that's about it + hw can take hours

if you can avoid her I would. she singles out students in class after giving a poor lecture that is hard to follow. she doesn't respond to emails and will not put in grades until the end of the semester. save your time and money and find someone else.

Do not take this professor PLEASE. Her explanations are confusing and I often feel she explains concepts backwards or in an order that does not make sense. She singles out students she doesn't like and gets overly frustrated when we don't know the answer. she never puts grades in Canvas and she grades on how much she likes you.

Avoid this professor at all costs. I saw all the bad rates on here and didn't listen. This class took up a majority of my time. Lectures made the content more confusing, and I would spend hours on the weekly homework. I was constantly confused. As soon as I thought I understood a concept it seemed like she would go back and contradict it.

Mozhdeh is one of the worst professors I've ever had. She's rude and makes you feel so embarrassed when she calls on you and you don't know the answer. The material itself isn't difficult, but the course is just you teaching yourself. I never actually learned anything from her just from the textbook on Aleks. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS

makes you do your homework and notes by the textbook, but then goes completely off script and barely uses the textbook in class. horrible communicator

I've taken stats before and this class was very difficult for me. I've tried to email her and contact her on canvas and there was no responses at all. Her lectures are very hard to follow and extremely boring. Also during our exam she gave us the wrong one and we had to restart after 30 minutes in. do not recommend her class.

Lectures are all over the place and extremely hard to follow. She barely explains assignments, projects, and material for tests. You can tell she is passionate about teaching statistics but her approach is awful and very confusing. Avoid.

(MATH105) Mohzdeh is easily one of the worst professors I've taken at this school. Lectures are unproductive/confusing. She's never in a good mood and borderline picks on students at times. Textbook is required but can be found online, don't buy. Literally 80% of your grade rests on insanely hard midterms. If you're looking for a basic gen ed, run

Horrible professor. I had her for Math 229, and I took AP stats in highschool so this class should've honestly been a review. Her lectures are very confusing in terms of ordering of topics. Some lectures you will have 3 pages of notes and others you might be so confused you have no notes. The structure of class is horrible. DON'T TAKE!!! AVOID HER!

I did not enjoy this professor at all. She could not teach us well and usually did not give any meaningful instruction. I never left class saying I knew what we were talking about. Everyone failed the final.

By far the worst professor I've had so far. Lectures are unorganized. Textbook was only "good" for R stuff. Group projects were assigned last minute and worth a lot of your grade. TOUGH grader with unclear instructions/rubric. This class is similar to AP Stat (content wise) but she made it extremely difficult for no reason. Only take her if needed.

Do not take this class. Took 3 months to grade first mid term so no one was aware of real grade and what was needed for finals until that week. Reteaches the same material over and over. Will change syllabus in the middle of semester to reflect what she wants to see out of grades(changing weights or assignments). Will call you out.

She will repeatedly assign work that she has not taught and is not included in the textbook, she will assign a group project, and then in a lecture 4 days prior to the due date completely change the structure and what is required to submit. She takes points off of tests for not showing work on questions where there is no work to show. DO NOT TAKE.

CONS: If you are reading this, avoid Mozhdeh at ALL COSTS. Her lectures provide 0 insight into upcoming material and she is terrible at describing the criteria she wants for all assignments. Assigned quizzes and exams have intentionally misleading questions. Lectures are never based on what you will be tested on. PRO: Her class ends.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. While clearly very knowledgable & smart, she is an utterly terrible professor & has no business teaching at a uni (or anywhere). Lectures are scattered/confusing & often have nothing to do with anything. Deadlines constantly change, she picks out students and harasses them for wrong answers when nobody understands the material.

This professor is terrible her lectures are impossible to follow and she often forgets what we are doing. She comes to class unprepared and while she cares about her students all of her work is incredibly difficult and has unclear requirements. She never includes a rubric and I could talk for hours about how painful her class is. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!

I did not even take this teacher, 3 of my friends have her though, and ive genuinely seen them tweaking, and every awful review on here is only because they do not have a way to say worse. Grading makes no sense, grades based on "improvement" and the final is "conceptual". AVOID

She is very misleading and disorganized. I'm not sure if she even knows what she is saying sometimes. She makes no sense and class averages were never passing. To do well, you need to participate, go to class, and GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS. Make your presence known and make her feel smart so she'll curve your final grade by a lot. Terrible experience.

worst professor i ever had at jmu, should be fired. went to HOD- they were not helpful. future students if u take her, go to the DEAN not the head of department EARLY in the semester. i am a smart student yet the only way to pass/excel is to often go to her office hours and participate and suck up to her. WORST professor I've ever had DO NOT TAKE. I should have listened to the reviews and stayed far away from her class please don't make the same mistake. Changes entire rubric last minute on projects. Exam reviews are no help because she doesn't go over anything that's going to be on the exam.

This is bar far my worst professor. She spends the entire lecture talking about one example and doesn't clearly tell you how to do things. Luckily, I took AP Stat in high school because if I hadn't I would not have passed.

Please do NOT take Dr. Forghani. I had the choice between taking her class or an 8 am and every day I wish I took that 8 am. I would drop the class, but I need it for my major. She will cold call on people/you. She doesn't really respond to emails. She's a slow grader. This class should only be taken as an absolute last resort.

This is by far the absolute worst teacher i've ever had in my whole life and I would not wish her upon anyone. She didn't submit my whole class's attendance for 8 weeks and financial aid almost withdrew everyone from the class. She has also refused to answer some students questions and mocked them as well. She is the worst professor I have ever had. She is hard to understand and gives instruction unclearly. I have to watch Kahn Academy after every class to understand what she is trying to say. She is very petty and does not care about the students. For the amount of money I pay to go to JMU I should not have to teach myself everything we test on.

I have never met someone more dislikable than this professor. She was so disorganized in every class and came in late all the time. Graded only off 1 final and 2 midterms, but all were under 10 questions. She was rude to everyone. (She screamed in my face when I asked her a question.) Avoid her at all costs. Genuienly the worst teacher at JMU

She is terrible at teaching stats and goes off on side tangents the whole time. She will cover the same material for multiple weeks on end and the quiz you on something she hasn't talked about. Coding is a huge part of this class and she never goes over it so you have to just look at code and try and figure it out on your own.

I had to take Math 229 as a substitute for Math 318 and her section was the only one available and long story short, this class should be a breeze. Due to her incompetency to teach, failure to communicate criteria on assignments, and posting assignments due the next day, it is impossible to meet her halfway. Do not take her unless you have to.

WOW DO NOT TAKE CLASS WITH FORGHANIARANI! She is by far the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. She will explain how to do problems incorrectly. She is extremely hard to understand. Her tests are in person camera on lockdown browser. Would give negative rating if I could. So overall save yourself and do not take this class!

Unclear rubrics/ lots of material expected of you on projects that you were not made aware of. Doesn't seem to know her own material, I asked for help with writing a command in R and had to go to another professor after Dr. Forghaniarani was incapable of writing a line of code that was not full of errors.

Strong accent makes it hard to understand the terms she's uses.

She honestly barely teaches then calls on you and expects you to know the answer in the middle of class. Loves picking on her students and is honestly super mean, just not a good professor overall. I don't know how she has a job.
