AVOID TAKING HIM. His teaching style brings me back to middle school. He would randomly call on students in the front of the class to solve questions they didn't know how to answer. I've concluded that he gets turned on when students are struggling and left helpless. Every night I would go to bed crying knowing that I had to see his face again.
This was one of the toughest courses I have taken. The professor's lecture style is simply calling randomly on students to work out problems on the board. His lectures never made any sense and the tests were difficult.
Professor Awais did a good job of engaging students during a 3-hour, evening lecture. He states exactly what is on the exam, and homework is very similar to the exam. Class is pretty easy if you do the homework and attend the recitations. He provided a lot of chances for extra credit as well. Overall, I would have him as a professor again.
He is a good professor, he genuinely cares about his students and wants you to do good. He does call on you but he helps you throughout the exercises and helps you understand how to get to the answer. The homework is just like the exam and if you go to recitation you'll do good. He makes a 3 hour lecture go by pretty fast, I have no complaints.
One of the best professors someone could ever have. I recommend taking with Prof. Awais all you need to to is to understand at class and ask if you didn't get something he is really helpful. Take with HIIIIIIIIIIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a 3 hour lecture at night and he was always full of energy. He called us up to the board to practice on examples that came in the exam so working on them was super helpful. The exams were heavy but during class he would give us hints as to which questions were going to be in them. I would recommend taking him because I really learned a lot.
Professor Awais is a remarkable teacher and genuinely cares about his students succeeding. I thoroughly enjoyed taking ACCT203 with him and appreciated the lectures and delivery style. I highly recommend choosing Professor Awais for your ACCT203 and any other Accounting classes offered that he is teaching.
Updated with correct difficulty level. Professor Awais is a remarkable teacher and genuinely cares about his students succeeding. I thoroughly enjoyed taking ACCT203 with him and appreciated the lectures and delivery style. I highly recommend choosing Professor Awais for your ACCT203 and any other Accounting classes offered that he is teaching
Professor Awais was a great lecturer and inspiring for any young accountants out there. I remember my last class for the semester I asked him if he taught anything else because I loved him as a professor that much. Would definitely take again.
It's not that the material is hard to learn, there is just lots to cover in a short amount of time. Don't blame the professor but instead ask questions. He is one of the most responsive professors you will meet. He genuinely cares if his students pass or fail his class.
He has an an old-school teaching style that calls students up and keeps everyone engaged. Doing many different things during class made learning accounting a little easier for a pretty hard class. The lectures were good, and the recitations were very helpful. It's also really helpful with extra credit if you put in the time.
NO electronics in class unless for notes or a quick check lots of extra credit gives you a lot of information about the tests and does his damn near best to make sure you are prepared for the test as long as you do the assignments and pay attention in class, its very hard to fail also of all the professor, he has the highest grade average
Professor Awais is an amazing professor who is very down-to-earth and wants everyone to succeed. Attendance isn't mandatory but it is highly recommended. Class is easy if you do the homework and pay attention.
Great professor and eager to help out students. Would recommend taking.
Very helpful teacher who gives a lot of feedback and extra support when needed.
explains topics in depth during lectures
Very good at teaching
Professor Awais is a really good professor in my opinion. Some might not like his teaching style because he likes to call on students to solve questions and give answers but it really helps with learning the material better. He's really easy going and cares about his students.
Great professor 100% would recommend.
I LOVE THIS MAN MEOW, He is very caring and funny. Literally just pay attention in class and take notes and you're good. He gives extra credit randomly something, so lock in highkey. He is like a student, and easy to talk to. You go to the board at times, but it helps a lot.
If you take Professor Awais class, in the beginning he may seem strict but it's for good reasons. He takes the time to breakdown what you are learning. I like his teaching style and how he uses class participation to help with repetitions for example he will have the class repeat what he says or have a student write an entry on the board.
He's a great accounting professor and gives real world examples to how subjects and concepts are applied to the accounting industry today. He simplifies complex concepts so that they're easy to understand. Wants everyone to have a basic understanding of the course material. Extremely friendly and approachable. Helpful and insightful for questions.
Great professor, encourages you to learn by engaging the class through writing on the board and having open discussions. He made 3 hour lectures entertaining. Additionally, he responds to emails relatively fast, and slowed down the class if necessary, to ensure we understood the lessons. Attendance is not mandatory but it's better to go.
My accounting professor is excellent. They provide clear and concise instructions, making complex concepts easy to understand. Lectures are well-organized, and they always encourage questions to ensure students grasp the material. Offering additional help outside of class when needed. The class is engaging, and I feel well-supported in my learning.
Profesor Muhammad is a good professor, he is very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject, delivering content in a clear and engaging manner. He fosters a supportive learning environment and encourages questions.
honestly a great professor, the class is hard but he teaches the concepts well. we dont practice much on the questions itself except with the homework but the exam is very similar to the hws so if you can do the hws well youll do good on the exam.try to understand the concepts then go over slides and notes and hw at home, i found thats best for me.
Very well educated in his field and is very passionate about accounting, gives good lectures and keeps it 100.
If you've got a sense of humor at 9:57 pm when class is being dragged on for no reason you'll love this guy
Pretty sassy but a good professor that if you come to him he will help you but sometimes will be complicated about things.
His class is great to take. He has a very good knowledge of what accounting is and makes the class not as boring as accounting can be percived to be. He gives a lot of chances for extra credit. Lectures are great and digestible.
Best professor for Accounting 203, lot of opportunities for extra credit. Teaching style is great, prof goes over a lot of examples during class to explain concepts better.
Prof. Awais gives many opportunities for extra credit. Homework and practice exam questions are literally on the exams.
Overall a great professor. Wants you to understand and do well. Course material can be rigorous and a lot, but he takes time to explain things. Goes over exam questions and homework questions in class which helps a lot! Explains course content well and engages the class often.
Real good dude...
Class is somewhat hard and a lot to study for but he gives a lot of chances for extra credit and cares about people passing
Great teacher. There is a lot of course work but the teacher does his best to help students to motivate students to complete it and learn the material.
Very funny guy and cares a lot about his students. Very passionate about teaching and genuinely wants his students to succeed. Gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and very understanding. Attendance isn't mandatory but it is VERY recommended since he does go over a lot.
I liked this professor a lot! Tough on doing homework and studying but to be fair he had some good points. Be prepared for him to not play around and you need to pay attention 100% of the time cuz he will cold call you . He's pretty forward but once you get used to him he can be pretty entertaining.
I liked the professor, but the course has lots of material to cover so need to read over and practice material from the lecture to do good on the exams.
He's cool and funny, i like how he teaches and explains the material, he's very patient unless you're not putting work in.
If you like a long explanation and maybe getting to the point at 9 pm for a simple topic, he is your guy.
Class is was taught pretty well, but there was a lot of things we had to review each class. Other than the lecture heavy material, it was okay.
Professor Awais is a great professor and cares about his students' learning. He listens to what students are having trouble with, and regularly asks if there's anything they'd like to learn more about or have clarified. He's always willing to explain further and is also flexible with homework deadlines, and he truly wants everyone to succeed.
Hes a great professor whos passionate about teaching. Accounting is a boring subject but he actually makes it a little fun at least. hes funny and explains the concepts very well. would 100% take him again. bummer he doesnt teach acct 303
He was an overall good professor. There was homework every week. And he broke down concepts to be able to understand better although there where times where he dragged class. He gives feedback and extra credit when you participate in class. Overall, if you study well and go over slides, and exam practice questions you will do good in the course.
I liked this professor a lot! Tough on doing homework and studying but to be fair he had some good points. Be prepared for him to not play around and you need to pay attention 100% of the time cuz he will cold call you (that means you cant be on your phone at all!!). He's pretty forward but once you get used to him he can be pretty entertaining.
He's overall a good professor, but it is imperative that you show up to class. I took him as the three hour lecture but he didn't make the class unenjoyable even though it's super long. He's willing to work with you if you have to miss class, but you also have to try your best for him to be willing to make that effort. Best of luck!
this guy was AWESOME! 10/10 for accounting 203
GO TO LECTURES. Does NOT accept late work. Sarcastic humor sometimes I can't tell if he's being serious. He hates when people take notes on their laptop so good luck with that. Great personality but teaching style isnt for everyone. He does give exam questions tho.
This Professor is ready and willing to help any student who participates in class. He offers extra credit when you speak in class and when you show up to the recitation later in the week. This is a late class, but the professor is very passionate about helping his students.
Great professor. His humor may stress you out though. He'll make a passing comment that if you do xy thing, he'll take 40 points off your grade. Otherwise, he's great!
He genuinely cares for his students success. Attendance is required and he enforces this through participation. his teaching style is very strict and straight forward. He keeps his 3 hour lectures engaging and truthful when grading. Textbook is recommended, but not mandatory and seen as a useful resource to learn on your own time. Good luck.
He is a good professor who gives out extra credit throughout the semester so make you sure you go to class for extra credit if you want. Attendance isn't mandatory but I highly recommend you go to class. The professor goes over questions that are on the exam which is good to practice from. Alot of homework. Attend the recitations they help alot.
Cares about his students, has a sense of humor, and social able. One homework assignment due every week and a total of three exams. Class wasn't too bad as long as you did homework and studied a bit. Would take again
This course is an easy A as long as you attend lectures and recitations and keep up with the reading outside of class. The professor is excellent. I highly recommend him. Attending class gives you a lot of extra credit, which can really boost your grade, and going to recitation also earns you extra points.
this class was pretty fun with amazing opportunities, the test aren't that hard.
He's very lively, sassy and sarcastic yet down to earth millennial, i think this is the best way to describe his personality. Which is good because it brings some life to the lectures. I had his class for three hours once a week on tuesdays and we always used the full amount of time and even stayed after class.
Great professor. He tells us to meet him at the board to wake us up and get us engaged and wake us up. He's humorous at times and serious at others. Has high expectations of the class's performance but he will work with you in office hours. Not bad.
Prof. Muhammad Awais is a great professor and makes classes engaging even when I took his 7:20pm - 10:00pm class. He made classes not as exhausting as other professors despite teaching a pretty boring subject. He's also got a great sense of humor and I would def take him again in the future.
Manipulation tactics and confusing lecture style. Most people in the class seem to be naive to his style of gaslighting and confusion as well as bizarre jokes. I felt secondhand embarrassment on his behalf. Blamed the whole class for failing the first exam.
First time taking accounting class and I do enjoy it, but I can't say I was motivated to study. I found the class ok, but it just felt like we were treated like 5th grader instead of University students. A bit odd, but it's just his way of teaching.
He is very straight forward and caring gives a lot of credits so be ready in class to answers the questions. Also pretty chill hella homework just make sure to finish on time NO LATE SUBMISSION.
Chill professor, lots of homework, NO LATE SUBMISSION,
Professor Awais goes into details during lectures and offers extra credit during lectures. Stay on top of your homework and do all the ungraded HW
I enjoyed this class and appreciated how the professor made the material engaging and easy to understand.
I really enjoyed this class and appreciated how the professor made the material engaging and easy to understand.
Provided good advice for your future in accounting field.
He knows how to explain the subject well, is understanding and caring if you reach out. Gives lots of extra credit opportunities. Gives a lot of resources to study from for exams. Overall, a good professor for a difficult course.
This is a good professor for a tough class, he does try to actively engage his students to help get the material through. Attending the recitation is a must in my personal experience, overall a good professor.
Attendance is mandatory, he offers a lot of extra credit and his lectures are entertaining!
Professor Awais is awesome! He makes lectures interesting and gives lots of extra credit opportunities!
Good teacher but a lot of homework and information
He's a passionate lecturer who tries to get his students to engage heavily. He does not have any favoritism and he is definitely very willing to help his students if you reach out. He is quirky and will make you touch the wall, come to the front of the class, etc which I despise. A good instructor teaching a difficult class.
He has group lectures that involve everybody in the class. He also has lots of opportunity for extra credit points by answering questions in class. There is a clear grading policy and he makes it clear what is important to know for tests and homework assignments.
Is very engaged with the class and shows effort and care.
He gives tons of extra credit and his homework and work is cut out and straight forward literally a carbon cut out class
Easy teacher to learn from I would say.
He gives a lot of extra credit, and is a great professor overall. He has great lectures, and goes over the topics in depth.
The class was not hard at all if you studied, and so many extra credit opportunities. The professor has an amazing personality!!
Gives multiple extra credit opportunities. Get ready to be called out for a question mid lecture.
Great professor, made the lecture not just understandable but entertaining. I did not have to write much for notes and did really well in his class
He gives you everything you need to get a good grade. He is also surprisingly competitive with other acct 203 teachers for exam grade scores. Other than being a little overbearing he is pretty chill, just do the homework and you'll be fine.
Make sure that you are engaged. Homework is the same amount every week. Do a little bit everyday over the week and your grade should be great.
He is a good teacher for a difficult subject. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and encourages asking for help.
very out going, very passionate about his work. Also funny
Makes his lectures engaging and fun as well as gives a lot of extra credit opportunites but the recitations are more helpful in teaching in my opinion
If you rewire your mindset to see him as a diva, the class gets infinitely more fun. On the first day, he scared us all by saying how much work would be required for the class, but he relaxes as he gets further in. Attend the classes and recitations, do the readings, and you'll be good to go.
Funny and straight to the point.
Very Lecture Heavy but gives you all the resources to be exceptional
Come to class prepared. He calls people up to show what we've learned. It is not in a humiliating way, its to help guide us if there is anything gaps. He's a great professor! Do your homework, pay attention, and you'll pass with at least a B.
Decent amount of HW, 3 tests, final is non-comulative, caring professor but i would not take again.
The class is structured very heavily around McGraw Hill Connect online textbook. It's pretty easy if you take the time to actually take your time through the modules. He likes to pick on students during class to make sure they are paying attention. Attendance to class and recitation are required. If you are good at accounting this class is fine.
The professor is professional and teaches clearly, making complex material easy to understand.
dudes goated
Good professor, he will make sure that you put in effort, and I'm usually lazy, but i genuinely have to put in a little effort for this class, other than multiple homeworks every week just study or make sure you know your stuff before exams.
This professor uses scare tactics, he knows how to use fear to motivate students. Heavy on the foul language, but I think it's funny. Besides the tough attitude, I think (heavy emphasis on think) that he cares about his students passing the class.
Make sure you are paying attention in class because he will call on you to explain things. Homework is the same amount every week. Do a little bit everyday and you should be great.
Professor Awais is a very funny professor, and a very passionate lecturer. The class itself has a lot of homework, but it has check your work features, so that helps boost the grade of your work. He has very detailed lectures, with lots of examples. He responds quickly, and his grading criteria is clear. He gives lots of extra credit.
The professor communicates the material effectively and creates a clear, easy-to-follow learning experience.
Great professor! His classes are very easy to follow, and he explains everything clearly. You really shouldn't skip his lectures because you'll understand the material much better when you're there.
easy but hard class
He is an amazing teacher who cares about his students and wants to help them succeed. His lectures are extremely helpful, and I would recommend going to them as they will help you pass the class. The course work is decently a lot as you will have 3-4 assignments per week, but they aren't difficult.
I took this class only as a credit but he really wants us to invest as much to it as if we are majoring in acct... He's good but prepare yourself to randomly get picked on. He does expect us to have a very good idea of what we are learning in class so its good and bad but overall he's pretty good at teaching just not my style.
Honestly, he's a really great professor. He's just very direct. He offers a lot of extra credit, which is nice. You'll enjoy this class!
Assignments and video lectures are accessible online however If you want to excel in this class, make sure to attend every single in-person lecture as this helps deepen the understanding off topics and increases your chances of attaining a high grades on exams. Overall, good prof who cares about students properly understanding concepts.
dude rocks!
Get ready to stand up, he interacts a lot with students and uses scare tactics to prepare you for exams. It's very effective, and he provides a lot of extra credit opportunities. Overall, he's good at what he does.
Good class for credit, class is very engaging. He do select people come out to answer question, especially pick the one who don't talks a lot!!! but don't worry, he just make sure you learn. If you are the student doing things on time, easy A. Don't be scared to his humor lol. Have fun.
super clear at explaining everything also very cool guy very funny and keeps his students engaged. loved him as a professor.
Easy class as long as you attend class. Great professor, just take the class.
