The man is awesome about working with you outside the class. The test are hard, as in there are no numbers. If you understand the concepts you will do just fine

He works very hard, always in office. Keep me thinking and learning physics. Very clear in the subject. I love this guy. I wish I could have taken my earlier physics lectures from him. I will continue his during in his lectures whether it required or not as credits. Discussion with him is fun.

After taking Physics 160 with Dr Sanders I thought Dr. Sanders is the best teacher of physics but then I took PS 250 with Dr. Omer he is the best. He makes interesting jokes but you need to be smart to understand them. He is very hardworking teacher and very smart. No other teacher in ERAU can do thing better then Omer. Keep him here at ERAU.

This guy was seriously my favorite professor for this semester. The information he teaches is hard and its a lot to take in but he makes it fun and entertaining. His teaching style is something you might not be used to but he teaches it very well. Go to class, seriously go. If you don't you won't do well on his tests.

Professor Farooq has an AMAZING teaching style. My only problem was the fact that his tests are really tough. He has very high expectations for his students. You can't just show up and take good notes and expect to get an A. You really will need to work diligently for his class. But his hard tests really prepare you for the hellish final exam.

Farooq really cares about his students; he would probably be willing to drive to your apartment/dorm and teach you himself if you asked. The tests are extremely hard, and there is a lot of homework.

Dr. Farooq is the best physics professor at Embry-Riddle hands down. Many students whine and complain that his tests are to hard but if you put the work in, they are manageable. Prof Farooq is a great physics teacher. I went into his class knowing ZERO physics & came out with an A. You have to work for your grade, but he's always available whenever possible to help you (weekends, holidays, late hours). Omer teaches a difficult and sometimes boring class but he does his best to make it fun and personable. The problems he assigns for homework are also done in class and then later he modifies and puts some of them on his tests. He purposely makes his tests hard so the final seems like it's nothing. Farooq is a great professor! I personally struggle with physics, and he was always very willing to help and answer my questions at any time of day (even by text message). His lectures are both entertaining and instructive, which is rare to find in professors. Highly recommended, just be sure to ask lots of questions to clarify understanding.

I came in after failing Physics previously, and I can say that he is first professor to support and believe in me so genuinely. He is very easy to reach and will mold his office hours to help you. Homework and SI are very close to the test so just stay on top of it and try to understand, and you'll be fine.

Prof Omer is a really great person. He genuinely cares about his work and is enthusiastic about Physics to say the least. He is incredibly knowledgable about the subject and gives entertaining lectures. Be warned, his exams are VERY hard. Many students went into the final with low grades, but the final is typically easier and helps save your grade.

Dr. Farooq is a very good professor. His chalkwork on the board is great and keep the class engaged. He is helpful during his office hours. WARNING: He is extremely shady at the end of the semester. Put the final exam grade in at 2:45PM and grades were due at 5PM. He left his office at 4PM so that no one could speak to him about their grades.

This is the most challenging course I ever had to take but I enjoyed it. This course is not for everyone, it is a PhD oriented class. Great lectures

Great teacher, expects a lot from his students. Tests are hard, you NEED to study, no matter how good you think you are. Most of my class complained about him but he was fair and tried to help. He even changed his office hours to be more convienient for us. Notes were clear if you paid attention to what he was saying and didn't just copy the board.

Each homework problem can be lengthy. Dr. Farooq will make sure that you understand the contents of the class. Before and after every lecture he holds a quick Q&A with students. He doesn't exactly care if you have the exact answer, only if you understand how to get there. He will show every equation and where he got the equation from.

Dr. Farooq was awesome. He helped students to adapt to D online system quickly due to corona shut down. online work was reasonable, available through portals like zoom and teams. All sessions were recorded and available for later viewing. His pre-made videos helped a lot for revisiting D contents. I absolutely enjoyed this course & highly recommend

Always happy but his course is challenging. He is a theoretical physicist and he will make you do integrals and vector calculus. Do not take him if you want an easy A. The best.

One of the best professors in the Physical Sciences department. Want you to work and give HW that is challenging but always available to help. So many times I have office hrs with him at 11:00 pm. We are filing a petition that we want to take Quantum from him next semester. If you have him you are lucky.

Be prepared for some heavy math and he will fly through complicated derivations like they are nothing, it is definitely hard to keep up sometimes. That being said, Dr. Farooq is one of the best professors I've had, very willing to help and incredibly intelligent, you'll learn a lot if you pay enough attention.

Makes tremendous effort to get the students to learn and understand the material. Has a policy of 'If you attend the lectures and do the homework, you're guaranteed at least a D'. Not an easy class to make an A in, however. Exams require in-depth understanding of material. Solely teaches with chalkboard. Attendance is not 'required', but is a must!

Classical mechanics is probably the most mathematically demanding class the physical science program will take (not counting your actual higher level math classes). But because of the way Farooq teaches the course, it is very easy to understand. If you complete the homework that he assigns legitimately, you will easily pass the class.

Stat mech is tough but he made it as understandable as possible. His lectures were great, but towards the end of the semester, he gave us time in class to do our homework, and did not lecture much. This was not the most beneficial, but when you ask for help, he makes sure that you can understand his answers. Large group project at the end (hard).

Dr. Farooqs class is tough. He loves to give pop quizzes, he loves asking students intense theory or proof questions on exams. However, you will learn so so much from him. He is a hilarious, caring and diligent lecturer. Sometime his lectures are a little scattered, but youll always learn something. If you have the change to take him, you should.

One of the best profs I've had here. His lectures are fun and easy to understand. He's clearly very knowledgeable and enjoys teaching. Bit of a harsh exam grader but the problems are always similar to homework or lecture, and he usually curves.

Dr. Farooq was a great professor for this class. Granted he hadn't taught it in 5 years and that was sometimes noticeable, but nonetheless he was great with the lectures and always made them engaging and encouraged everyone to do their best. This is mathematical class and there is no one better than Dr. Farooq to explain that in the best way. He will help you if you ask, he problems are demanding but fun. Dr. Farooq is the GOAT, genuinely the best physics professor you will take at Embry-Riddle if you have a genuine love for learning. This will be the hardest class you take, no doubt, so allocate your time correctly, but it is also the most you will learn at Riddle. With tons of HW (like hours on hours) and cumulative exams, hard work pays off.

Physics was hard for me but this professor makes it very easy to pick up. If you show up to class and do the practice problems with him, you will do fine. There are also SI meetings that clear up any questions you may have. He will say you need the book but you really dont. There are 2 midterms, a final exam, and 2 assignments after every chapter.

He is the best. I understand engineering in his class. Class discussions and lectures are very deep and real engineering. Not only plug and chug like most ERAU engineering students wants. That's why some students those are incapable of understanding and becoming engineers don't like him. I love this man.

I truly understood where each equation in the class comes from, and where to use them. Doesn't do example problems in class, but lectures are great and the tests are based off them. The hardest parts are the homeworks and there are only 4 of them. Grades on what you know, not how hard you worked or how much you studied.

AAAHHH. I love this guy, but Modern was so messy and gets confusing astronomically fast if you're not a physics nerd keeping up with literally everything. The topics are interesting but you have to teach yourself most of the stuff which is like..the same stuff Einstein was doing what- Half the class dropped, just saying. Rlly hard class Have fun!

He is excellent professor and care about students. He is smart and his lectures are the best. You cannot attend his lectures and not learn. He is funny and has lots of office hrs. This class was a great introduction to modern physics, and I really enjoyed it! He explains everything clearly easier to understand. The course can be challenging, but the professor provides plenty of resources and is always willing to help during office hours. He is Hilarous which make lectures engaging Highly recommend him!

Took Prof. Farooq over the summer, he was very sweet and respectful. I enjoyed how he continually equated physics to common sense and in turn we all learned a bit better! Communicate with and respect him and that respect will be returned. No obnoxious ego like most physics instructors and he's a really funny guy!

hands down one of the best professors I've had. His teaching style is clear, engaging, and incredibly effective. He encourages questions and creates an environment where it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them.lectures are well-structured,good diagrams examples, and interactive discussions, which really help solidify the material.

Dr. Farooq is the clearest explainer of physics I have ever taken, and he will make sure you do what it takes to understand the class. On top of that, he has an amazing sense of humor. Physics is hard, so there are going to be some bad ratings for any PS prof, but he is up there with the best PS150 profs here. (side note: I'm about 0.96 Farooq)

He is very well articulated polite funny and smart. Love taking his class. Unfortunately he does not teach phy2.

The best professor I had in college

He make learning fun. The first professor in erau that can teach me. Take his class he is smart and funny a rare combination. He recommend book but doesn't require you to buy but please buy if you can otherwise his lectures are very sufficient.

He care about his student but the subject he taught was difficult. He put 120% but the level of math required is too much. I recommend his class.

He is very organized. Does white board presentation very friendly and knowledgeable. I love his jokes and he thought both are long. I think this is first class in AE where I guess I am understanding. I hope to take masters classes with him too.
