Very unclear at explaining the content and dose not understand the questions you ask him . Macro is suppose to be easier then Micro but with him i am having a very hard time believing this. Very dry and long lectures
He doesn't clarify what he is looking for when grading tests and assignments. A lot of the focus in class that he spends time teaching won't even be included in any of your exams or tests. Don't bother asking for help as he brushes off any questions you may have. I strongly recommend avoiding his class and joining another class if optional.
Muhammad is a very knowledgeable teacher however this does not translate into his teaching as he doesn't answer questions or provide any help whatsoever. The other issue is that he doesn't hand out any assignment outlines or even clarify what he is looking for when marking assignments. I would strongly recommend switching out of his class.
Muhammad if you have him for ECON 305, get ready to ready and teach your self quite a bit. His test are too short and easy compared to the final and most of the in class material is not on the test. He is not a teacher I'd recommend.
If you can save your self and find a different professor.
You have to teach yourself in this class, his lectures are boring and dry students end up leaving the class confused and not sure what was taught. Test are not the same as what he teaches.
Muhammad I feel dose not know the material he is teaching , he gets easily confused and many students leave the class confused on what they were taught also he dose not cover 70% of the material given in the online homework so you have to sit there trying to figure it out cus he is unsure of the material himself , I would not suggest him
He's knowledgeable about the course but you won't learn anything from him because he expects you to pick up the material just by sitting in his class. Attendance is pointless as he reads off the slides he posts online. Use the text and learn the material yourself as his class has no value. Save yourself if you can and swap out for another prof.
Worst teacher ever
Just reads off the powerpoint for an hour and that is it. Doesn't ask if anyone has any questions, to be honest if you have him you will have to teach your self all of the material.
If you have him do your self a favor and get out of his class immediately.
Highly recommend dropping his class if you have if. Just reads off slides and doesn't ask if anyone understands, by far the worst teacher at Sait.
Just doesn't teach he stands up at the front reading his slides like I can do that at home what's the point of him even being there.
Rude to students doesn't like when people ask questions just a bad teacher.
Muhammad has good intention and is a good man but when it comes to teaching he is not clear with his lectures many times i have sat there trying to figure out what he is saying , his tests are horrible and he grades his short answers poorly I would honestly suggest investing your time and money into another prof
Tries to be a good teacher but doesn't succeeded, if you can switch out of his class.
Switch out if you can!!!!! He seems nice, but is rude and condescending. His tests and assignments are written in broken English, takes twice as long to do because you have to decipher what its asking. Relies on D2L and the textbook website for assignments, and doesn't know how to answer the questions himself, always refers you to another student.
Muhammad means well but his method of teaching is questionable. The semester started off with 35 students, but eventually went down to 10. Lucky for me, this provided our small group with a lot of one on one attention when it came to understanding the material. He likes group work, and does an online "pop" quiz every class.
I made the mistake of staying in his class after readin all these reviews thinking "hey maybe he changed". Yeah, don't think like this. Muhammed is as bad as it gets. He even has these inclass pop quizzes almost every class that add up to 5% of your mark in the end. He is unorganized and never updates his d2l. Absolutely the worst prof I've had.
He's a nice person but not a good teacher. His lectures are unorganized and graphs are hard to understand. He gives fair marks though. He's not that bad.
He actually cares about his students unlike other profs. Available for extra help. So far the best prof I have had at SAIT. Will definitely take more courses with him.
He is a pretty nice guy and takes care of his students. Sometimes his teaching is a little confusing but he grades pretty easily. Tests are easy if you do some studying. Also every class he does a little test with 5 questions but only need to get 3/5 for 100% and only worth 5% of your mark. Fun class.
Lectures are good but best when combined with some self study a fair amount of marks are dependent on being in class
Worst decision to stay in his class. If you can switch out do it!! His lectures are confusing and he's hard to understand. Not to mention if you ask a question he answers by asking you a question, then doesn't answer your original question.
He is a nice person, jokes all the time, and always comes up with weird stories that tie in with whatever he's teaching. However, this class is a bit hard to understand and the way he explains some concepts can get very confusing. I found reading the text book more useful sometimes than attending his class.
Amazing Professor at SAIT one of my personal favourite would definitely recommend taking him for Economics.
Muhammad is really helpful. He does his best to help his students. He is an easy marker. He helps us with the assignments. He is polite and friendly. Highly recommended.
Muhammad is AWESOME! He explains things in detail and making sure you understand it. He's also a generous mark giver. Quizzes are not hard as long as you attend the class regularly and be a participant in class. Big thumb up for him!
Highly recommand
One of the best teachers I've ever had, really nice, he provide easy examples to understand the topic, gives fair grades.... and his quizzes are not hard.
He knows whats up, highly reccomend
Best econ teacher. He is very knowledgeable about econ and a very nice guy. He even helped me out of the class and spared time to help me. He came to help me even in the morning at 7 o clock before the class starts. I wish him a lot of success in his life.
He is good but not Excellent
The BEST econ teacher at SAIT. if you get an opportunity to take his class, DO IT.
Compare to any other professors in my life, I can confidently say that Dr. Muhammad is the best Economics instructor ever. His Lecture is fairly clear and straightforward. You will be only tested for what you learned in class. He cares every student and approachable. Don't complain because of bad grades here when you didn't put adequate effort.
The best teacher of ALL TIME, extremely knowledgeable. Very willing to help students in need. He can use the least time explaining the hardest concept and you can still understand fully.
Muhammad is a great teacher who cares about the success of his students. He appreciates students who ask questions about the course material, and ensures that every student that has a question is answered.
Worst teacher at SAIT, stay away from getting him as an instructor at all costs.
Mr mudasser is a good man by virtue and character, but he lacks excitement and the drive to teach. His tone of voice is very mono-tone and his teaching habits consist of reading off slides. If you need a nice nap during school, just walk into his class.
You need to attend every class and be ready to take notes. Lots of info coming your way and you need to study 1- 2 hours a week. then no problem Passing. SG
This guy has personality! Yes very dependent on the power point, and a little fast-paced at times. If you go to class with the attitude that you want to learn, & you want to work for it, he will help you succeed. He is a straight-shooter. If you are struggling ASK HIM FOR HELP! Marks back ASAP on test & assignments with feedback. He cares.
He's a really good teacher and great marker. He's always ready to answer the quastions and emails. he marks the assignments and tests really quickly.
Mo was awesome. He is able to read the mood of his class and quickly switches gears to keep students engaged. Some days we just had to power through the info but other times he was good about allowing us to end a few minutes early. Would not have aced this class if it wasn't for him. Ask LOTS of questions. He will answer ALL. And DON'T skip class.
Mr Mudasser is a hilarious and is always open for discussion in and out of class. Better to participate and he will reward you
Very fun and nice person Amazing teacher I have never seen any professor like him. Professional and Knowledgable
Understand materials well. Explain all the materials well, precise and very detailed.
Great professor, explain materials well, and accurate and very detailed.
very good teacher
This professor gave me a lot of motivation to get work done out of class and kept the lectures entertaining even though the subject material was rather boring. would take this prof again if i have the chance.
Muhammad Mudasser is an excellent teacher , lectures are fun, short and to the point specific in giving things in detail he is very lenient in marking, and helps out the student, excellent teacher I might say
Muhammed is a very entertaining and charismatic instructor. Macro can be daunting and he does his best to try to keep the class fun while covering all the material. The mini quizzes at the beginning of each class help you stay on track for the semester. I enjoyed his class as much as someone could enjoy macroeconomics.
If you understand his humour then you will enjoy his class. He is very straight forward and mark fairly. He is good at explaining topics by graphs, or working out harder topics step by step. Go to class as his lectures are helpful, he is good at showing what is important for the tests.
You just have to stay on top of things on your own.
He's really funny and really provides good information about his slides. Makes ECON fun and enjoyable. I recommend taking ECON with Muhammad
One the best instructors I had the chance to learn from at Sait. I had him for an evening class which is a time when I would be very sleepy and tired but he made the class interesting and entertaining He hands out mind maps before each chapter which helped me a lot, now I use mind maps for all my other courses. Too bad can't go to class due toCOVID
Macro an interesting subject that can be largely learnt through real world examples but Muhummad lacks in it. He is good at making simple to complex. Uses long method to derive problem to show-off his algebraic skills. The joke is his poor jokes. If you dont understand some chapters ? don't worry! just refer tube videos, they are far more better.
His midterm questions are unrelated to what we learned in class. He had typos on the correct answers on the multiple choice ( instead of - making the correct answer incorrect) and does not want to address it to the students, leaving a midterm question without a correct answer. Which is very irresponsible, we paid for this class. and more.
Absolutely horrible, would never touch his classes ever again. Antagonistic approach to students, utterly unhelpful and convoluted teaching style. Going on YouTube for Econ explanations is much more efficient than listening to him. He will fight you, punish the class and be utterly useless. Doesn't even make his own tests.
Muhammed is a decent prof but he'd sometimes mark your answers wrong even though it's right, you'll have to call him out on it. Considering how dry the topics within BFIN333 are, he makes up for it with his humor. For the course itself however, you pretty much have to regurgitate the information within the free textbook included in the course.
Horrible. He started the class of far too easy. Then, to compensate, he started curving people down. He stopped responding to emails. The students protested, and yet he didn't address any of those concerns. The midterm was hard. 3 minutes a question. The final was even harder. 80 questions, 4 hours. Don't ever take a class with him. What a joke
I didn't like the experience.
Great professor. There is a lot of textbook related quizzes which can majorly hurt your grade if you don't do them. Tests are only difficult you don't show up or take notes. I really enjoyed his lectures because he always laid things out practically with good demonstrations.
He said and I quote failing students are my job security
I have never ever hated a prof so much, if you see him in your list for futurre classes i advise to change it asap no matter what, he makes you feel like crap, and expects you to answer things like we should know it spot on no mistakes. He has said and i quote " we need to separate the good best students and the bad students'. and so much more.
Not horrible but not great either. I find SAIT tends to spoon feeds its students and expect to be hand held through concepts and told exactly what will be on exams. I found actually reading the textbook and doing problems before class helped with his lectures and exams. He could come across as condescending but he doesn't deserve the bad rep he has
Here's everything you need to know: if you're online, he has two loud parrots. He has small pop quizzes beginning of every class, you can't be late at all for them. Easy grader, boosted two of our tests significantly. He jokes about people failing so if that's offensive, don't take him. Lectures were decent. Try to get Imitiaz Askari or Roger Duck
Dr. Mudasser is funny and makes corny jokes sometimes. But I hated that he said failing students are his job security. Instead of saying that he should actually reach out to those students and provide feedback on his tests! which he does not leaving us clueless and explains concepts in a much harder way than they actually are. Hated the experience.
Thankfully I stayed on his good side, however I wasn't impressed when certain students got confused or a question wrong. Rather than sit down and help them, he would give a quick-snarky comment or sometimes be offensive to the individual. Ex: "Is the fake test for marks at all", "Do you know the meaning of fake? Please search it up and tell me".
Good luck
Honestly, he is the worst professor I have ever had. If you prefer to teach yourself the material and feel horrible if you make a mistake or are confused by the content, then take his class. He belittles students and makes them feel awful when they make a mistake or dont understand. He does nothing to help his students. So terrible.
Mudasser is one of the best Macroeconomics teachers. His style of teaching is different from a lot of teachers. His quizzes are tough but the Assignments and lectures make up for it. His classes are very engaging, he is hilarious, he answers questions when asked, and he makes sure you understand the concept before moving to the next.
Just avoid this professor future students. Its the best for you guys. If you choose him, you gotta get ready for the short quiz every time before the class starts. Plus a stupid presentation to do literally at the end of the semester. No time to study for the final.
He make jokes that can be rude. He's really fast with lectures with online short quizzes before every class. Lectures, quizzes, and exams are heavy. Missing a lecture means missing a lot. But: His teaching style matched my learning style. He answered questions as much as he can. Taking notes helped me a lot. BTW ECON305 has some algebra / calculus.
This instructor does not take care and consideration for students who may be struggling with the concepts or material. Asking for help, will waste your breath. Instructor makes rude, and bordering on offensive comments, in front of the whole class. If you can take a different section of the course, I suggest you please do. Run, don't walk.
He can be very inconsiderate to students when they dont understand something or have a question. We once had a test and my classmate computer was having issues and he was practically just yelling at the the majority of the time. It is quite hard to understand the way he teaches as he tends to go off of slides a lot.
He is an extremely hard grader and very rude towards students in the way he responds and doesn't provide support. Would not recommend his class as he doesn't do anything a professor should.
I was lucky to switch to Dr. Muhammad's class at the beginning of this semester. In his class, I could easily understand the boring theory of economics and find economics very interesting. The professor hopes that we can understand what is happening in the real world through the study of this course.
He is awesome,
Hello future semester's econ class! You will be shown the instructor's reviews by him probably the first couple of weeks, so I will provide you with an insightful review from a student that has a 3.94 gpa. I recommend you strongly to drop the class. The instructor does not follow the slides - creates his own steps that are very confusing. (part 1)
On top of creating his own steps that are overly confusing, when you ask him a question he laughs and asks questions back, which makes it even more confusing. Many times he has put students on the spot and laughed at them for simply not understanding what he is teaching. Makes very inappropriate comments, like "you have a very nice voice" (part 2)
If you email this instructor, he will take a long time to reply and then mention certain things said in the email in front of the class. IF YOU ARE ABLE TO, DROP HIS CLASS. It is simply not worth it. You will have to teach yourself everything, and will be made to look stupid if you ask questions. Also the presentation is a waste of time. (part 3)
I would not recommend him for economics or any other classes he teaches, he goes fast in the class, the material will not make sense to you plus there are not any study guides or many assignments to bump up your marks, He can be rude or make fun of you when asked a question or any help guidance, try to avoid taking classes with him.
He is a great and hilarious professor. It's just completely different from what those comments say. Believe me, if you skip this course, you are just skipping a great professor and a better way to study economics.
Awesome professor! He made macroeconomics very enjoyable to learn. I personally hate economics but going to his class was a lot of fun so I strongly recommend this prof. He is great at answering any questions you have and breaks down the topics in a way you will remember!
I really enjoyed his class. He can come across a little too strong but always respectful. He always attempts to make his class funny and enjoyable while relaying it to real life events that are easy to explain to students. I would take his class again as I had a lot of fun.
Muhammad is a good professor. I was at first hesitant to take his class because of the bad rating here, but I didn't have a choice last semester, other classes were already full. I am grateful that I didn't drop his class because he explains the course well and very considerate as well.
I really enjoyed his class. He explains concepts very well and has a great sense of humor. Econ for me is a tricky subject in itself so reading ahead of class will greatly help. He is very patient with students' questions and not strict at all with attendance.
My favorite professor of the semester. Intelligent guy, very knowledgeable and passionate about Economics. Quite skilled at lecturing, makes it as interesting as possible by relating the subject to personal anecdotes. Attendance is not "mandatory" but there is a 5 question quiz everyday at the beginning of class. Would take a class with him again.
Lots of reading material, loads of work. But he leaves you alone, he is not always in your face. Follow deadlines and you will be fine. I choose him for Microeconomics, and had a great experience so choose him again for Macroeconomics.
Excellent professor.
Not sure how Dr. Mudasser has a 3.0 rating, he is an amazing professor. Clear about his expectations, which are very reasonable. Incorporates group work into the course more effectively than other professors at SAIT by giving students designated class time for it. If you show up to lectures and pay attention, the homework and tests will be easy.
He can answer the students' email quickly and effectively.
I have taken two of his classes. The first time was extremely frustrating, as the way he would talk to students would be very demeaning. However, the second time I took a class from him, I found that he gotten better at speaking to students. He always taught the material well, but seeing the change was wonderful.
He took over after Cam, he is a good professor, sometimes it's hard to understand but at the end he genuinely cares for his students. Great prof.
I thought this class would be great, but the instructor jumps all over the place, makes his own confusing steps, and makes awkward, demeaning jokes toward female students. He's hard to follow, and nothing makes sense unless you reread the textbook he never mentions. I don't think I've ever been this frustrated, and I wish I could switch. Run.
I've never written a review on Rate My Prof but Muhammad has made me do it for the very first time. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. No study guides you will need to teach yourself outside of class and he makes you feel stupid for answering something slightly wrong. I'm averaging an A in every one of my classes except for his Life is miserable with this prof
SAVE YOURSELF, do NOT take this professor. Nothing he teaches in class is on the tests, and the exams are brutally impossible. It's like a total trap, you study one thing and get tested on something completely different. Frustrating, stressful, and a total waste of time. Avoid at all costs.
