I think that this class could have been a nightmare if it was not for my professor. Even during the epidemic that affected us all, he managed to reach out to me and work with me better than most teachers ever would. His use of funny metaphor also helps keep the class engaged.

Despite failing his class the first time, Professor Gungor worked with my throughout the same course in the summer, online, to assure that I passed. Often staying after class to answer my questions or having accessible office hours, he made sure he was available to help. Even when I fell behind, he made sure that I had the opportunity to pass.

The class I took with Murat was very hard for me, as I am horrible at programming. & with the current pandemic, my grade was awful. But it's not Murat's fault. He is a great teacher! He made use of his resources. You could meet with him outside of class basically anytime! My programmer friends said it was easy though. Good teacher to take online!

Professor Gungor is good at explaining core concepts in simple ways so that everyone can understand them. He also uses many examples of different complexity to teach new ideas and skills.

Murat was always very thorough in his explanation of every topic we went over in class and I almost always left class having a good understanding of what we just went over. As someone relatively new to this field, he made understanding everything very accessible.

The tests were surprisingly difficult, really challenging me to think long and hard about each problem, even when I had plenty of prior experience going into the subject.

Murat has a commitment to improving his courses. He frequently asks for feedback on assignments and exams and really takes it into account. Assignments can be tough but he's very reasonable and is always open to talk. You can tell that he really cares about the effort you put in and that you learn the content.

I had Murat during my second semester of my first year. It was a completely virtual class, but still enjoyable. He expects a lot out of his students, but is always happy to help and is a fair grader. He is very sweet and tells cheesy jokes to make class more fun.

He tried to mention every persons name and it definitely helped with motivate us in the virtual class (which you know is could be difficult sometime). Feedback was on time and helpful. Also would often give me 1 point of extra credit for good work on assignments. Assignments were 20 points, but that one point would often cancel out any mistakes I had made.

For the intro class I took, I think it moved a little fast for beginners, but my previous coding experience set me up for an easy experience. Overall, a great class and a great instructor who you can tell really cares!

He's explains things well and directly. The homework helped you learn the material without being too difficult. There were also a lot of extra credit opportunities in assignments. Things were graded fairly and in a timely manner. He does have an accent if you struggle with that, but I had little trouble in understanding him. Highly recommended.

I came into this class with a fragile foundation due to my previous professor and he worked overtime to get my coding skill to where it needed to be. He also restored my self-confidence in CS.

The professor is really nice and tries to make the lecture apply to your major. I would definitely ask questions because anything you think you know you don't know. Be prepare for test. You will want to study pointer, classes and dynamic allocation While in class and outside of class.

This professor makes learning both accessible and fair. In this class, not only does the professor show the steps you'll need to know for both building knowledge and the assignments to follow, but, in the case that you slip behind, for one reason or another, he'll help you right back up, given you have the desire to succeed.

Gungor is always very helpful in class. His lectures are very comprehensive regarding the subjects. Always remember to ask questions, he'll usually provide an example about the subject or concept that will help you understand it better. In addition to that, bonus questions are on pretty much every quiz/exam, so answering those will help you a lot.

I've had bad and good Comp Sci professors and Murat falls in the good category. Comp Sci basics can be dry and boring, but Murat's personality kept things lively and I was finding myself engaged easily. The assignments all have clear grading rubrics which makes all the work of the class a breeze because you know exactly what to do. Would take again

Murat is one of the nicest teachers I've had at this college, despite it being only my first year! Murat's classes are usually long lectures with some time to either get started or finish the homework. His classes are also fast-paced as we continue a new topic each week. Murat is a staple of the Computer Science department at Champlain. I've taken a few classes with him, and he is consistently knowledgeable, thorough, and cares a lot about his students. He is easygoing, lighthearted, and will always help if you reach out to him. Each class typically consists of half lecture, half labs.

He is an exceptionally personable man and a great teacher. He explains concepts thoroughly in a short period of time and gives us ample opportunity to work on and demo projects in class. Introduced the class as "the hardest programming class in the curriculum", but he did such a great job at explaining all the content that it never felt that way.

Extremely nice person. We'd have an assignment every week and occasionally some online unlimited retake quizzes. Good teacher, although not as good as I would have hoped. Terminology isn't covered as much as I had wished it would be. We have a lot of time to do work in class, but I would rather have him talk more during class so I could learn more.

Most of the time in class he gives lectures and does demonstrations of the topic that we are discussing that day. I found this to be helpful because I didn't have to copy what he was doing and could focus on the topic in class.

Murat is a fantastic professor. Workload is around what you'd expect. I didn't feel he was a tough grader, just make sure you write neat and clean code. Super duper ultra nice. I do wish he delved into specifics a bit more. There were a lot of intricacies I felt were skipped over that could have been covered if he didn't end the lectures early.

Mainly lecture-based class, but I felt like he explained the concepts really well. As long as your code is clean and you can explain the decisions that you made when writing it, you'll do fine in his class.

At my internship we are actually launching into UAT next week on the project I have been working on, so this class has been very applicable to my internship and has helped me greatly. I spent all of today running End-to-end manual test cases on the project, and I utilize strategies from class to write my unit tests and execute manual tests.

Professor Gungor is really good at making sure everyone gets feedback so they can improve their skills. He uses discussion posts for assignments so students can give others feedback, and he is responsive and helpful whenever students ask him questions.

A great professor who makes learning interesting and engaging and will make you laugh too. A very fair amount of course work with time in class to work and receive help. I found both his CSI-420 and CSI-340 classes to be some of the most useful and applicable from my higher education.

He is a very good teacher. He made this subject easy to understand when my last teacher couldn't. The only real issue is that he's not great at explaining when giving me assistance, and often gets sidetracked finding other problems in my code, rather than the parts that I'm worried about. However, that's a nitpick. He's a great professor.

Dr. Gungor is both a great CSI professor and a phenomenal human being. I had to retake this class after a rough last semester, and Dr. Gungor was extremely helpful. When he saw I was relying too much on AI to fill in my knowledge gaps with coding, instead of getting angry, he helped guide me to use other resources that helped me pass with an A.

Prof. Murat gave us some of the most helpful examples/metaphors I've ever received in a course. I'm certain I will visualizing linked lists as train cars in an action movie or private access specifiers as trash cans in the office of your dad who works for the FBI long into the future.

He is extremely understanding of the troubles a student might face, and gives out extensions and chances to join classes virtually. I also like the way his classes are structured.

Murat is one of the kindest professors I have ever met, he is very patient and understanding with students and all of his policies are in place to support students in the long-term. The textbook for his class is supplementary and not required to pass, but helpful to have. He also explains the content so well and is very willing to help students.
