very knowledgeable and excellent prof
fun guy, easy A! no need to go to these classes, so laidback. read the text & its a sure A. nice guy, the lectures are all about his personal stories. easy to skip, barely any work. he has lots of funny stories to tell, very fair and accomodating.
this guy is DA BEST!!!!
I like his hair!
Extremely knowledgeable, wonderful teacher and person
Knows material and relates it through use of personal stories. Very approachable. Murray, is there anyone you don't know?
Amazin prof.....gotta take logic with him
really easy going and knows his stuff
My Absolute Favorite Prof. I didn't find him all that easy, though.
I think he's a pretty fun guy

Hilarious stories during lectures...material straight out of the text.
genuinely nice person and extremely helpful, even if it's not for his class. he has a great intellect and he's a pleasure to have as a professor, even if he comes off a little flaky!
He is a real logic teacher. He know how to use logic to deal with his course and students. he is great good teacher.
He's a great, intelligent man. And being younger he's really able to connect with the students. He da man!
Great prof! We love you, man!
wow, great prof! I can't say enough about him. If you ever get the chance to talk to him, ask him about oxford or when he met bob dylan, this kids got stories.
He's got to be the best teacher at UNB. We love you Dr.Littlejohn!
Excellent professor cares about students ,amazing at his job.Good times

Wonder Professor!!
he has to get rid of multiple choice exams. come on murray you're at university now - what's next drawing lines to match the correct answer? and get rid of that silly beret - you're not in paris mofo!!
Oh, Littlejohn! He's a really great prof but he's kinda crazy! If you dont mind half your lecture being spent on the Dub-ya/Tu-pac/his days as a 'gangsta' in the south end, then you're set! He's really good at explaining logic and his tests are easy!
What a funny guy!! He'll tell you all about TuPac and his take on Bennifer AND stick some logic in there too! Multiple choice wouldn't be my first pick but they're even ok.
A master lecturer, a great speaker with a humourous side. Overall, a guy who really knows how to teach.
he's the****.this course is easy but definetly not boring by a longshot.lectures are always interesting and what's better than tupac and martin luther king lectures.like really.
he seems to be nice, but class is boring..
Professor Littlejohn is wondefully eccentric. My interest in taking his Logic class was sparked by the numerous ravings of fellow students. I look forward to participating in his future classes :)
He is the easiest teacher i have ever had but kind of dull every class meeting was spent going over what was covered in the previous class. this guy knows what he is talking just can't manage his time
He is terrible!!!!!!
I loved him. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had.

Before I started this class, I was unsure of whether or not I would enjoy it, basically because I was not interested in Philosophy. WELL... as it turns out, I proved myself wrong, this class was very enjoyable and changed my persepective on philosophy. He is a good professor, down to earth and easy to understand.
Keeps the class interesting but hard concepts to understand...great prof though
spends a lot of time reviewing previous class, time mangement not his strong suit. Lectures are tedious at times because he will go off on a rant. Multiple choice exams are a good way to get good marks - simply memorize the terms and meanings.
Most unorganized man I have ever seen in my life, you'll be lucky if he ever gets to class before you or you actually have your tests on the dates that they are scheduled. 1 midterm 40% Final worth 60%!! CRAZYNESS. I have had him for many classes and it's always the same old****, more involved with Canadian Politics than our university!!
He's everyones hero! I can't believe anyone gave him less than a 4.9!!
nice guy, but organized he is not. loves to tell stories from his life to make the text more relateable. do NOT get him talking about Bob Dylan...holy sh-t. he's obsessed. reasonable and flexible about assignments & exams. a little vague in his test wording. CUTE in a geeky kind of way. lectures are entertaining & worth attending. i love his hat!

I was very disapointed with this teacher - classes start about 15 minutes late everyday, he talks about his personal life too much, and I learned very little. If you have any interest in learning dont take this class, if you want an easy mark, this is the guy for you.
Awesome professor, very entertaining and earnest in his lectures. I loved him :D
Interesting class at times, unfortunatley Littlejohn showed up a minimum of 15 minutes late every day! Disorganized and often not on topic. Overall marks were based on just a midterm and an exam.
Definitely one of the best professor I've ever had. Accidently sat in on the wrong class the first day, decided to stay and I'm so glad I did. He is very clear on what he wants you to know for tests and everything he talks about relates to the materials. EVEN when he is talking about random personal or political topics.
Amazing professor in general. He is very well spoke and teaches with the mind set of the real world. Every class is a new experience, and you learn something about yourself little by little. You will never be bored with this class, take my word on it.
Nice, very interesting and open to discussion. Funny, always makes class enjoyable. ANY one at any level can learn from this course, and any course from Littlejohn. Gives great real world examples. However does shows up late,5-15mins for 50 min long classes and then drags into the break forcing you to be late or leave early. Can get cranky on tests
Interesting lectures but he is late every day.
Easiest courses in the world. If you want peace and relaxation, take this man. If you want to learn, take everyone else.
Take his course for the mark, but don't expect to learn too much from him. Also, he has a tendency to be late and digressing for most of the class which you pay $40/hour for.
He knows Nothing about his course
Awful professor...
Based off of his lecture and half the time he spent filling us in on what we learned in the previous class so we never learned anything new. The mid-term is worth 40% and the final is worth 60% of our final grade and he stopped doing power points so we had nothing to study for the final exam. Worst part is i didn't learned a thing = waste of $. FML
Extremely intelligent professor, wide area of expertise. Sometimes he forgets his students aren't so well-read as him. Quite engaging discussions in many classes (depending on the rest of your class). He is strict about his intellectual property and electronic use in class. Overall a good teacher
Friendly and funny. A truly dedicated professor with an authentic and genuine interest in truth and humanity. Absolutely no regrets about this prof.
Very Intelligent Prof, one of the few left who actually can "teach". If you're a student who just memorizes the textbook, may not be your "thing". If you're a student with an open mind, can relate to "real life" experiences and would like to become a better Human being... MLJ can teach you. Don't just "listen" to what he says, "Hear" him.
Interesting class, don't take if you're going for straight A's. Easy to get a C, but you have to go to class.
Eccentric Prof you will love him or hate him. Do not use electronics in his class or talk he will lose his mind. Classes are entertaining but he is very opinionated, however he welcomes others opinions provided they do not try to take over the class. Tests are easy.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. He's ALWAYS late by 10-15 minutes and is a complete tool. Lectures are inconsistent and hardly ever relate to the syllabus. Hes rude and has HUGE ego, acts like he invented air. I spent 700$, to listen to him boast himself and talk about politicians. Literally take ANY OTHER course except his, huge waste of my tuition. frig
His lectures are the most interesting part of my day. I think mr lil john is a great prof!
He gets off subject then speeds through the rest of the lecture to finish it. But everything is in the book he goes over. Hard to get in touch with him.
Overall good teacher. Can be confrontational with student at times. For example, if two students are speaking, he has at times interrupted the conversation, and has gone as far as to accuse students in front of class of things that are not the case (paranoid, agitated and angered by anyone speaking who is not him). Raises grades on tests.. AWESOME.
Murray seemed to spend infinitely more time fabricating stories apparently intended to convince students of his grandeur than actually teaching. His lectures were sometimes enjoyable, but almost always off-topic.
Murray Littlejohn is one of the funniest profs I've had. He is my favourite prof I've had in my 2 years at UNBSJ. He's a real gem and I actually look forward to the classes I have with him!
Awesome
While he may be a bit eccentric, he's incredibly passionate about the material. His lectures are always interesting, and he makes philosophy easy to understand. He might think a bit too highly of himself, but he's a great prof. He's 200% better if you like classic rock, as well.
Absolutely love Professor Littlejohn's class. Inspiring professor. He is passionate about his classes. I would highly recommend him and will take another class of his. He is one of my favorite professors. He wants you to pass and if you need help he will help you.
Interesting lectures, gets your mind enlightened. Was great being his student.
A few years ago, I liked his teaching style more, but he's kind of outgrown me. He always goes past the time the class is supposed to end, which is not fun.
I have taken 7 classes with Professor Littlejohn. He is the best teacher Ive had in my 33 years on this planet and is quite possibly the most brilliant human Ive ever met. He has opened my mind, helped shape my character and Im forever grateful for his teachings.
Really strange guy but is passionate and makes the work easy
Professor Littlejohn has taught me to expand my thinking beyond my own self imposed limitations. He is brilliant and his interests are expansive. I knew I would take another class of his when in the first class he played Bruce's Springsteen's "Tougher than the Rest" video and did an entire lecture on the song.
Gives too many examples, and over-explains things. That's good if you're confused, but if you understand the concept after he explains it initially, it's exhausting to listen to him. He's very full of himself and believes he's better than others because he's "enlightened". His lectures either put me to sleep or frustrate me because of the reptition
Dr. Littlejohn is a decent prof, he didn't have many live sessions, which I disliked. He seems to care about students and their well-being and is empathetic to them. He relies a lot on class interaction in the lives, which is difficult to achieve during online school. As long as you revise for your test and complete the assignments, you'll get an A
Professor Littlejohn is actually one of the funniest professors I have ever met. He never fails to surprise me and I never know what he is going to say next. It is true, he is very eccentric, but it makes for an experience like no other.
Littlejohn is a sweet person, but he is very easily distracted. I did feel lost, when trying to contact this prof I got no responses or sparing ones. Our D2L page was not set up for the first day of classes nor was the syllabus. Those were not set up until like a month and a half in. The course had a 40% participation; little opportunity to talk
Murray Littlejohn is the most unorganized professor I have ever had. He doesn't have a scheduled plan, and his syllabus is all over the place and rushed. His class is so boring because he talks about him, his book, and anything but the course. I had asked him during class a question about our reflections, and he was very rude. Avoid him if possible
Very unorganized. It is currently April and there is not one single mark put in so I have no idea where I stand in this course. Very boring lectures consisting of rambling. No syllabus is posted, and D2l was not set up until a very long time into the semester. Wants paper written on every film, we watch in class but does not state what to write on.
He was very unorganized and unprepared to teach this course. The D2L shell has little to no instruction provided for the course. He does not grade your work as the course goes on so you will not know how you are doing in the course until it is over. He can be hard to reach by email. He can be very understanding of students' personal situations.
You can tell he is very interested in his field of study but he is so unorganized it is anxiety inducing. The semester is over and our class is only aware of 20% of our marks, and the D2L page closed so we wont know the actual breakdown of our final mark when it comes out unless we contact him which can be very difficult.
Nice guy, but unfortunately not a good professor. I feel bad but I wish I had been aware that there is no syllabus to be found, we are directed to write papers with no other info than that. He never graded anything this semester so you have no idea how you are doing in the course. He is passionate but that is it. He is very hard to reach.
He bought our class pizza, he is a very good guy and knows whats he talking about and all the quizes are online and super easy!! very nice guy i appreciate him alot.
Literally the most fun I've ever had in a class. He bought us a pizza today
He is funny but he never stays on topic. His classes are doable as long as you try but long lectures with him are sort of painful.
(PHIL2006) Lots of writing assignments in his class that he never marked until a week after the exam, didn't get my final mark until 2 weeks into 2nd term. The class was so easy that I guessed for the midterms and didn't take a single note in the class. He also rambles a lot and reads off small font size, large blocks of text.
I think there's confusion among many of the people rating Littlejohn. His classes are not just about his ability to teach but your ability to interact with material. It is as much a space for students to speak as it is him. It's not just regurgitating material. His classes are a nice respite from most class formats. Some will like it some won't.
First day of class he sent everyone to the wrong lecture room. He talked about random stories like him being bullied in school and his girlfriend getting STDs. Based the whole class around politics and how great "Trump" is and little of it had to do with philosophy. I got better philosophical insights from the turkey sandwich I ate this morning.
This was my first class with Professor Littlejohn and it was a lot of fun. He's just as eccentric and funny as people say. He has a habit of getting off-topic but his 1053 class is 3 hours so it's fine in the long run. He does discuss politics often and is centre-right leaning, and he is not shy about it so if that may upset you hit skip.
