Very funny teacher, always has funny stories. You have to call or email him if you are going to miss class otherwise you get deducted participation marks. Extremely picky with marking & is a hard marker. But other than that he's a good guy!

He's got a good sense of humour. Don't get in his bad books though..

He makes this course very interesting. You can tell a lot of work go into his lectures.

Great instructor - he actually cares about students. But if you don't want to learn anything and just take his class for the credit - you're better off to take the course with an instructor who doesn't care (and there are a lot of them). Murray isn't one of those and he'll mark hard because he wants you to learn something in his course.

This is going to be one of the best instructors you're going to meet. He treats it serious to benefit you in order to prepare you for your career. Listen to what he has to say and follow his guildlines as they are there for you. If you show respect, you will get respect in return. Class act and not many like him...cheers!

If you want a good grade you have to work for it, however I probably learned the most in his course than in any other. Everything you learn is either relevant now in your daily life or in your future business career.

The BEST professor I have come across!! He lays out the instructions and all you have to do is follow them. If you are a good student, it really does pay off to have him as a prof cause you actually learn a lot of the practical stuff. He does have a professional style of teaching so make sure you notify him if you will miss class b4 class time :)

Murray is an excellent instructor. Brings a wealth of relevant industry experience into the classroom. His classes aren't easy, but Murray is more than willing to go the extra mile to see that students succeed. Murray encourages class participation and keeps things light by adding a joke here and there.

Fantastic Teacher. really cares about his students. Has the you get out of it what you put into it mentality which really helps you strive to get good grade. Lays out his rules at the beginning of the year, and if you respect those rules you will gain his respect. Fantastic prof!

An excellent instuctor! He relates course material to real life examples to engage students and help them to remember what they've learned. Murray strives to give students practical learning experiences that will help them beyond the classroom and more importantly, in the real world.

Murray is a great teacher. I had him for both Comm-1000 and Comm-2000. I also have him next year for a few office management classes. He is firm but fair and he always keeps his classes interesting with his "joke of the week". As long as you follow his outlines and put in your effort you will get a good mark in his class.

Had Murray for communication 1. Was not a course that was a walk in the park, but Murray kept it interesting and very insightful. Had a great time in his class!

Murray is a good teacher overall. He's an excellent speaker. Lots of energy, very engaging, and is frickin hilarious. Nobody sleeps in his class. But the academic factor is a bit low. I had him for COMM 1 so not exactly rocket science for some people. Presentations were tough, but I would mark harder on the smart people and challenge them more.

Murray treats his students as they will be treated in the business environment. He demands quality work and attention to detail regarding assignments and grades fairly. I enjoyed his classes and learned a lot about professionalism and accountability. I highly recommend this instructor at RRC.

Nice and very helpful

Murray is wonderful! He was always full of energy even in the early mornings. There were lots of assignments, but he made it easy with crystal clear instructions, and feedback was very useful. He encouraged us a lot, and personally made me fear public speaking a lot less, and I gained leadership skills from group projects. Friendly, helpful, fun.

Murray is something else! I have never seen a teacher so well structured. He starts the week off with a funny joke or video. Be warned if you don't like profanity, his material is full of it. He makes very clear assignments, due dates, and grading rubrics for everything. No excuse to miss deadlines, as he posts most online. Highly recommended.

Probably one of the best teachers. Very clear with directions and prepares you for the real world after school. If you need help he is willing to explain. No tests, but lots of projects and large assignments (group and individual). At times can seem a little harsh when people don' pay attention or ask 'stupid' questions. Makes lectures interesting.

Murray was an excellent instructor. He is willing to give you feed back and if you are struggling he will help you achieve what you need to in order to succeed. Be aware that he will not make it easy but he is fair. All in all a really good experience.

Mr. Moman is a great professor, probably one of the best at RRC. He gives excellent feedback and his class is very dynamic. But do not get his name wrong, or he will give a 50% penalty in your assignment.

Murray was one of my favorite teachers in my rrc days. Almost every class he taught he tried his best to make it as entertaining as possible. When he gives you a grade he makes sure to tell you in detail what you did right and what you did wrong. Hes someone who actually cares about his students and you could tell he loves his job.

Quite frankly he is not very reasonable. There is little forgiveness and makes it very clear that he is the boss of the classroom. The material is covered in class and posted on learn but if you miss a day and have a question, the response is often "Just check learn". I don't think I would take a class with him again because its just too stressful.

Murray is everything that a real professor should be. When he gives the criteria for an assignment and how it will be marked, he will follow that criteria to the t.. When he has explaining to do, he tells it the way it is. Others say he marks hard, but I'd say he marks realistically; the way it should be. You can always reach him for questions.

Murray doesn't give marks away; you have got to earn it. He endorses punctuality, so, show up on time or the door will be locked. His PowerPoint slides are not last minute; they are creative, informative, and consistent. He gives each student an opportunity to participate in class.

He is extremely passionate about what he teaches. He doesn't do "straight from the book" lectures, instead he tailors his class for real world situations and prepares you to succeed. Don't expect to get a good grade if you don't show up to class or hand in something for the sake of handing it in. He looks for commitment, passion and personality.

For someone like me, Murray is an amazing teacher! He has the whole term planned out, so you know all your deadlines right away. AMAZING ORGANIZATION! Gives clear directions for assignments, follow them and you are golden. Work hard and watch those review videos for Easter Eggs (bonus marks). If he's teaching a class, I will choose him over others.

Murray is the most organized teacher I've ever had. His communication is amazing! Weekly emails will help keep you on track and prepared for the upcoming classes. You need good time management to pass this class, no tolerance for tardiness. He is a tough grader but always gets marks back to you quickly with feedback before the next assignment.

Absolutely fantastic. Other ratings say he is a strict marker, but he really isn't if you follow directions. Ask for clarification if you're confused. He has no tolerance for late submissions and will deduct heavily. He DOES give you all your due dates at the start of term, and reminds you about them. No reason to be late. 1000% would take again!

Murray was one of my favourite instructors. He makes you feel included and knows how to keep you engaged in his lectures. In my opinion, he is not a tough grader at all, just read the outline and you will be fine! He also lets you know your deadlines ahead of time so you can manage your schedule accordingly!
