Dr. Ishak is very easy. He tries to make Physics less boring and easier for students. If you have to take Mechanics, take it with him! Highly recommended!
Boushaki is such a great professor, helpful, knowledgeable and funny too! He worked all the problems (or very similar problems) that were on the test in class and gave generous curves when the class average wasn't very good.
Strongly Recommended. Ishak is the best physics professor you can get at UTD. He is very approachable and has a passion for his field that is hard to come by. His class is very manageable and he has rational expectations of his students. He even makes physics fun with jokes and demonstrations. Take him if you can!
One of the best physics professors I've ever had, He is a such nice guy also. He trys to make the class easy, he himself hates teachers who purposely makes physics hard. If you have to take physics, you'd be foolish to take anyone else.
very helpful and easy teacher
Ishak is so chill that I honestly wish I could just hang out with him. Very passionate, understanding, and helpful. Take him if you want to enjoy physics.
BEST PHYSICS TEACHER. I dislike physcis, but he is so clear and patient that it's the student's fault if they didn't succeed in the course. He makes everything interesting, and he is sooo funny. I wish he taught Physics 2. WITHOUT DOUBT RECOMMMEND HIM.
It is clear that he's spent a lot of time figuring out how to present the material in a coherent and palatable manner. He does much more than merely regurgitate information, he cultivates curiosity and encourages critical thought, and always fully explains himself and student's questions. The homework is hard but the tests are much easier.
Dr. Ishak is a great professor, I thoroughly enjoyed his lectures. He is very student oriented and willing to help whenever needed. I recommend anyone to take him for mechanics.
One of the best professors period. He is hellbent on making students understand the material. Lectures are extremely clear. He has an accent but Is easily understood. Really nice guy and cares about your success.
I do not like physics and I was so afraid of this course, but Dr. Mustapha changed my views. He is a very respected, caring man and a very passionate physicist. His questions are not that difficult and he's generous with grades. I wish he would teach physics 2326 :( I highly recommend him
Probably the best Physics teacher there is. Highly recommend him.
Very devoted to teaching the best class he can. HW is fair and tests are doable. 10/10 best class I've had at UTD. A must take.
This was a professor who clearly loves the subject and made sure he did everything he could to pass the class if they earned it. This included exam curves and extra credit. He is a hilarious guy with enthusiasm after you get past the accent.
Dr. Ishak is a professor who enjoys the subject matter of the class and it showed throughout. Physics Mechanics may seem difficult, as it combines calculus with one of the most intricate sciences in physics. However, Dr. Ishak managed to make the class easy, whether it be through his examples, detailed lectures, or his availability out of class.
I highly recommending taking Dr. Ishak. He makes the material easy to understand. The homework is straightforward and he does a lot of examples in class. His exams are doable and strongly based off the homework, plus there might be curves.
I would HIGHLY recommend taking his class any day. Man's very passionate about Physics and genuinely wants his students to pass his class. Makes effort to meet with students and help them with physic concepts that they can't quite grasp; overall fantastic man. He makes exams easy, he hands out extra credit. Does have pop quizzes as attendance.
Dr. Ishak is one of the best professors I have ever taken. He is extremely passionate and helpful to his students. He also focuses on the fundamentals and ensures all of his students grasp the concept. Additionally, he is also very accessible and helpful. He encourages students to visit him in office hours and helps during extraneous circumstances.
Awesome professor, cracks jokes but knows how to stay on topic. Great slides. Easy conceptual quizzes based on PowerPoints. Fair curves.
A dedicated professor who has a passion in physics and knows what he is talking about. One of the nicest professors you will ever get. Tests are not that bad, straight from the homework, and one project that is amazingly fun! He grades fairly, easily, really easy to do well in class. He makes the class hilarious by telling jokes to not bore anyone!
Professor Ishak is one of the best at UTD. Do NOT take advantage of his kindness, appreciate what you have. He is very thorough when lecturing and truly engages his students, which is very hard with a subject like Physics. He cares about your grades and will make sure you get the grade you deserve. If you get this Prof consider yourself blessed.
The best professor I've ever had. His lectures are informative and tests are straightforward and easy. He quickly responds to emails and is genuinely dedicated to his students' success.
If you think Physics is going to be hard, I recommend this professor. Professor Boushaki has a passion in Physics and you can tell through his depth in lectures. It makes Physics so much easier to understand. Tests are not bad if you know the homework. Very Hilarious, easy grader who wants you to pass, curves exams, easy conceptual quizzes. Awesome
This man is the best. I don't like physics but I enjoyed his lectures. The exams are soo easy, just make sure you understand the concepts. I loved this class so much, Dr. Ishak cares about his students and if you show interest in the class he will try to remember your name. The exams are 3 questions, you pick 2. Do the homework and you'll pass
He makes physics nonthreatening, which he makes clear at the beginning of class. Actually made me enjoy physics (to my great surprise). To prepare for tests, just make sure that you understand the mastering physics problems, and you should get an A on them. He makes lecture engaging, not to mention he is hilarious. Would recommend him 10000 times.
Best physics teacher out there. Makes physics easy to learn. If he is an option definitely take him.
I've always been horrible at Physics, and looking back at this class, I sincerely wish he would teach Physics 2326 too. His class is not too difficult, because he makes you enjoy and understand the concepts of physics CLEARLY. The problems he does in class are similar to the ones on the exam, but with different numbers. He sets you up for success
Probably my favorite professor here! He's hilarious in lectures and his exams are easy so long as you can do the example problems in class and the homework problems. Definitely take him if you can!
Go to class cuz the multiple-choice qn in the exam comes straight from class discussion. No calculation for multiple-choice qn. It's usually a yes or no question, and a Max of 5 qn. Literally he gives the answer in class after he tells us to discuss it with our neighbor. which can increase your exam grade by like 20 points. Exam is so easy!
Dr. Ishak is great. There were 3 exams, and they were pretty spread out, and none of the questions are very tough. A lot of people don't come to class and still get good grades, but it's pretty fun to hear him talk about physics. The homework is online, and it will be your best friend when studying for exams!
I barely put any work into this class besides the week before a test. Really nice guy. Lectures weren't terrible, but I really do not like Physics. Probably one of the easiest physics professors at UTD, so take him if you need the credit.
Easy class, great professor.
I thought I was gonna fail physics. But he saved my life. He teaches soooo good. His lectures are very interesting. No attendance. Exams are okay if you understand the lectures and the homeworks. You need to study but if you study enough you should be able to do good. 11/10 Recommend. Really fun and engaging class. I learned alot.
This class is insanely easy - the tests are extremely straight forward and the problems are usually all problems done in class / super basic. Personally, I didnt really enjoy his lectures - hes a great guy and all but his lectures are scattered. I mainly just taught myself and got an EASY A. He is incredibly sweet and makes the class easy!
Best professor I've had at UTD. He made me understand physics better than any other professor. The recitations also helped a lot because they gave you the extra practice that you needed. If you payed attention in his class, you'll be sure to do great. Although physics can be boring, he makes sure to add jokes to make it bearable.
If you can take him your semester will be blessed.
The professor is a really nice guy. He teaches the material in a way that makes it interesting, and he clearly loves what he teaches. On the exams, he lets you choose which two out of three problems you want to solve. Our section also had a recitation session in which attendance was recorded, but the problems presented at recitation were helpful.
He's the best Just take it trust
Everything is excellent with this professor but the only problem he has is preparation. He had so many technology problems at the beginning of almost every class and ended up wasting 10 min. Doesn't finish the lecture on time due to that, but just watching recording is fine. Test is easy if you actually study and pay attention to what he says.
Dr. Ishak is an amazing professor. He is an angel of physics sent from heaven. He literally made me love physics and I recommend his class 100%. Even though I checked that textbook is used, he only refers to the textbook sometimes for questions to solve. P.S: I never took physics in high school.
TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! There are 3 exams, a small physics project, and weekly homework assignments. His lectures are straight to the point, and he explains concepts very clearly. Physics was never a favorite of mine, but he made it enjoyable! In both his online sessions, he made sure to give plenty of examples, which made exams easy and doable.
Dr. Ishak has a real passion for teaching and even if you're not much into physics, he'll make the course enjoyable through his sheer passion. The course itself is very easy as long as you show up to his exam reviews and do the homework.
Made a refreshingly lenient and simple physics class. by far the most understanding math or science course I have ever taken. HIGHLY recommended.
An amazing professor that actually cares about his students and the subject. Sometimes his lectures can be a little disorganized, but you'll walk away actually understanding the concepts. Easy A if you actually pay attention and do the homework. No surprises on the exams.
Really cares for his students. Weekly Mastering Physics online hw (30%), 3 noncumulative, multiple-choice w bonus Qs exams (20% each), mini project (8%), attendance (2%). Hw problems are challenging but overprep you for the easy exams. Pay attention to in-class and recitation problems. Minor but lecture problems sometimes get disorganized.
Professor Ishak is a great lecturer, clearly cares about his students, and is generous with grading and test difficulty. He is able to achieve the balance of ensuring that his students truly learn the material while still keeping the class fairly easy (as long as students put in at least some effort).
Professor Ishak is one of the best professors at UTD. He genuinely cares about his students and responds to emails extremely fast. His tests are based on recitations and in-class examples, WebAssign is just for general practice. This class could be very hard, but this professor makes sure it's very understandable. 10/10 take him over anyone
This class was definitely one of my favorites that I have taken at UTD, mostly because Dr. Ishak's teaching was excellent. The material was explained clearly and he made sure we understood before moving on. He was clearly very knowledgeable in his field and excited to introduce us to it, which definitely made the class more enjoyable.
Best physics professor Ive ever had. The tests and assignments are easy to do and if you study, you will definitely do well. Hes very kind and helps you if you any questions and gives extra credit on exams as well.
Professor Ishak is a well-accomplished physicist and professor that cares about his students. He understands how it feels to be a student sitting in a physics class for the first time and he really focuses on teaching every student. Complete all your work, ask questions, and go to the recitation sessions for a solid understanding of physics & an A.
Dr. Ishak is a great professor. He really cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed. His lectures are excellent and helpful. However, if you haven't taken physics before in high school, this class itself is not easy. It requires lots of studying, but the professor gives all the right resources. I would take his classes again.
Best professor I've ever had. He makes his lectures really interesting and fun for students. He loves participation and really cares about all his students. If you do all the homework yourself and pay attention in class, you'll do good.
If you've never taken physics in HS, take Professor Ishak. His learning style is catered towards an audience that knows nothing about physics, and you truly learn physics through his enjoyable lectures and demonstrations. The class is an easy A with minimal effort, and you'll get an accessible professor who cares about his students as well.
Best choice for physics. Dr. Ishak is super caring and genuinely wants his students to do well and enjoy physics. Before exams, make sure to practice thoroughly and attend his review sessions.
He's a professor who is really passionate about teaching. His lesson is easy to understand and the homework is helpful for the test. The test was really easy; the questions covers the fundamental knowledge instead of using tricky and complex questions. The classroom is filled with almost 200 students, so it can be hard for him to help each student.
As someone who took physics in a previous year and dropped it early in the semester because I could not understand the material, Boushaki's teaching style has made physics much more interesting and simpler to understand for me. I would highly recommend taking this professor for first time mechanics students.
Dr. Ishak is the best professor for anyone that has to take this class. He genuinely cares that his students understand the material, and always says to ask questions and go to his office hours. He actually won the Regent's Outstanding Teaching Award the semester I took his class. HW requires thinking, but the tests are easy if you pay attention.
Take him, he's amazing. thats all you need to know
Probably my favorite, most caring professor at UTD. I don't think I need to say more since the rest of the reviews got it.
Attend the lectures, do the hw, and you can't get less than an A.
Very caring with sense of humor + lectures well and leaves good powerpoint slides. Do the homework and review the questions for the units covered in each test and you should be fine - exams aren't too hard
Dr. Ishak is one of the most genuine professors I have met. Course material is not difficult and he breaks the material down well. Tests are simple as long as you take notes during his lecture, watch his review videos, and do the homework. He wants everyone to pass. If you need to take mechanics, take it with him. Don't think twice.
Absolutely phenomenal professor. Cares deeply about students, and his passion+enthusiasm towards physics rubs off on his students (at least those engaged with his lectures). Obviously an extremely intelligent individual, very funny, and also a total dad. Lots of homework if including prelabs+labs, but exams are extremely easy. Very easy A+.
One of the kindest professors I have ever taken. He makes it clear what will be on exams, and beyond that, he's genuinely such a down-to-earth, kind person and his enthusiasm for physics is so contagious. I have a weak physics background and he made it so everyone received the same amount of support and attention.
Professor Ishak is one of the best Professors!! He will make sure that we understand the lecture. He loves when students ask him questions. Homework and exams are straightforward if you attend his class. Overall one of the best Professors I have met.
greatest professor in the US.
Dr. Ishak was an amazing professor. Really cares about his students and exam expectations are very clear. In class reviews were helpful, attendance sometimes taken every week or so. Curves exams if average is low, final project work 8% of grade.
Dr. Ishak is easily the best Physics professor at UTD. The exams are easy if you study for them and there is a lot of curving. Make sure to do good on the homeworks (which have limited attempts per question). The lectures are extremely fun and there is a fun project at the end. If you study for the class, you will definitely pass.
Great prof! There are 3 exams that are not cumulative exams. If you go to his lectures and do the hws you should be fine to pass. You learn the most from the hw problems and the lecture practice problems. One homework per week so it's not too bad. He made this class easy and doable. Doesnt respond to emails so meet him at his office hours.
three curved exams total, and all were relatively easy in comparison to homework. test problems are extremely similar to questions worked out in class. 1 mastering physics assignment per week
If you did well in AP Physics 1, it's a free class. Barely any calculus is needed. I never used it in his class tbh. Pearson assignments are all easy, and the tests are even easier since he makes them easier than the Pearson. All tests were multiple choice of around 10-12 questions. Wish it was harder, but can't complain about the easy grades
Professor Ishak is incredible! His lectures are easy to understand, he encourages questions wholeheartedly, and genuinely wants you to enjoy and learn from his course. As long as you come to class and listen, the exams are very doable. No surprises. The exams are mostly based on what you solve in class and with the TA. Wholesome guy, really.
He is a great teacher who knows a lot about physics as a whole - tests were relatively easy if you followed the material.
Best professor I've every had in my life. Lectures were amazing and was the only course where I left each class actually knowing the content because he can explain everything so clearly. 10 question multiple choice tests, which is easy if you practice the in-class & recitation questions. Professor is also a genius astrophysicist (search him up).
This professor Is really easy. His lectures is really fun and he strives to make his student sucessful. Even though Exam are 60% of the grade, don't be afraid because they're all multiple choices and the questions are very easy and are almost exactly the same as the homework. His lecture for exam review lectures are crucial so don't skip those !!
Great Prof. Easy A. 3 tests, homework every week. 1 fun project in the end. Especially if you did AP Physics in HS, dont even think twice and take this prof. Even if you are new to physics, he'll break it down exceptionally and you'll easily get an A. This is the dude to take. Total dad vibes too, incredibly caring human being.
Even if you haven't taken a physics class before, he breaks everything down and makes the concepts easy to understand. Exams were easy and homework wasn't too bad. Definitely have if you have the chance!!!
idk why he's so highly rated. His lectures weren't great and he ranted a lot and blamed others for his mistakes
He barely has any grades in his class, so if you do bad on the test, you're done for.
Lectures were amazing, he breaks down difficult concepts and topics and makes them very understandable. You definitely have to do your part and study but the exams are very doable. I never got anything under a 100 on exams and only studied for a day before the exam.
A very understanding and caring professor. His grading percentages are very fair. Exams are doable if you study properly. Basically, redo the problem section and homework questions, and you should be good. If you show up to class and show true effort in class, he is willing to curve the final grade if asked.
An incredible professor who genuinely cares about his students. If you put the work in, there's a high chance you will get an A in the class.
Amazing professor, so passionate and knowledgeable. Really wants students to succeed in the class. Definitely the best teacher to take this class hands down. Review homeworks and class notes for test and youll be set.
