The teacher was really cool. We would have amazing discussions about random topics. Doesn't teach much from the book though. Tests were multiple choice and a little hard.
Interesting class it is always nice to have a teacher from the family. Cares about what he does. Over all a good teacher. Take notes mult choice tests.
Mylo is a cool teacher. He is very open minded about many subjects that concern his classes. I learned much about psychology and even though he gives tests, they are not that hard. I got a b on the class.
Great discussions about random topics. Is a cool guy. Doesn't lecture from the book. Talks of nothing but himself. Test questions come from the book not his lectures. 2 homework assignments and one oral project. If your're interested in psych. & want to learn about the topic; recommend someone else.

He is a really down to earth guy. People get discouraged by his syllabus, but the class turns out to be really easy. All he has you do is the two assignments and the oral and I did them all the day before and got an A. The tests are based on the book. I read the chapter reviews only and did well. Final grade was an A and it was easy!
Class is easy if you show up and read the book. Mylo is fun, very smart, and open-minded and cosmopolitan. I got a B when I thought I got a D.

awful teacher
He's very knowledgeable on the subject of Psychology. He can twist and turn you to prove a point but that encourages critical thinking. He's been through a lot in life judging from his previous experiences which makes him very down to earth. He is helpful to students especially those who come from different ethnicities. He's an excellent teacher!

He knows a lot about psychology but only seems to dwell on sexuality. A majority of the papers I wrote dwelt on this subject and he said he might use some of them in the book he was writing at the time. It was easy to pass the class but I found him distateful as a person, more concerned with his own opinionated exploits than teaching psych 101.
this guy is horrible! his lectures=bad!! one can only wonder what the subject of at least one lecture will be. bizarre assignments. i don't recommend him for psych majors.. or anybody who wants to learn anything from this course. at least you learn that he's a bad teacher!

this class was an offensive waste of time. his lectures revolve around nothing meaningful to the subject of psychology. he doesn't answer your questions appropriately. get ready to learn how to sit comfortably in your chair because it's a long while until you learn something.
He was very helpful and nice teacher. The story he shared with us was so interesting. As long as you show up every classes, and turn in two papers, and give a good oral presentation, you'll get an A!
Talks a lot about himself only because he is proud of who he is.His test are really hard, but don't be discouraged because he curves it and the work is really easy. He grades really easy.I thought I was going fail, but ended up with a "b" although I failed both midterm and final.

Very interesting person, but he is a pretty good teacher...you will actually understand stuff although at times he shares his opinions too much. Easy class, just read the book and you will do fine.
The concepts you learn in this class, you'll find yourself incorporating into your every day life. Even though the teacher got carried away half the time, it was okay because it was interesting and in some weird way relevant to the topic at hand. Definitely an interesting, fun class!

It's a really fun class, two papers 1 oral. Read the book on your own time and you'll pass the tests. Milo makes it a fun and safe environment for one to express themselves..and is interested in students point of view. Great discussions. Not a difficult A.

A very interesting Prof, although I should say, he talks a lot, and always go off topic. He is also an open minded person, but be careful not to disagree with him regarding "gender", it doesn't matter if you're homo-,metro-, or heterosexual.
I think that Prof. Egipciaco is a very interesting person. He can talk really well about a topic, but when he gets dristracted he can talk about something completely different for a long period of time.I would recommend his class..it is very easy, all you had to do for psych 1 is 2 tests, 1 essay and a oral presentation..very easy class....
Prof. Mylo is approachable and definitely interesting, but I have to say that sometimes discussions can get a little carried away. Overall, easy A, I guess.
Professor Egipciaco is a good teacher. He is very funny and he can sometimes talk a lot but if you really pay attention he knows what he is saying and it has to do with Human Psychology... he is overall easy and fun...
Mylo is a wonderful teacher. He is very knowledgable about his class, he works hard to interact with his students, and enjoys the subject he teaches. I learn so much every class I attend. He is funny and adds humor to what he teaches. If I had to take him again I would. He's absolutely adorable too! Love you Mylo! little lu
Professor Egipciaco is an interesting teacher. I'm not really into Psychology, but he slowly draws me into it. He's a fun-loving, approachable, not to mention extraordinary teacher. I recommend this class. Really.
he's open minded in an extremely closed minded way. he, of course goes off topic. he likes to talk about himself, but the class encourages it, so be prepared for some brown-nosers. if you disagree with him, don't say anything, he'll make you out to be **** or **** or something.
I took professor Egipciaco during Fall 08 not being sure about how i felt about psychology, but i grew to love and now I'm majoring in psych. The person below me is wrong because Egipciaco is absolutely open minded, kind, funny and really cares for you to do well. He had the best, most laid back class i've ever taken and i strongly recomend him!
This class was unbelievably fun! I learned so much about new kinds of things and this class was most definitely not a class for tories/conservatives lol because they aren't capable of opening up to new ideas.
This teacher is completely useless. i hate his guts. he pretends to be open minded but he's sooo openly close minded.. He blabs on and on about stupid stuff. I really think he should open his eyes. And he should try to be more open minded. idk what the people under me are saying. Believe me he's not worth taking
The discussions in class often have little to do with the chapter but you learn a lot about people and their experiences. Read the textbook and take notes in class. Prof is very interactive with students. He's strongly opinionated but "agrees to disagree". Tests are easy. He always answers your questions. Come to class and you'll get an A. Very fun
he's pretty chill, i mean, he get's way off topic and talks about almost nothing relevant towards what we need to learn for psychology. the midterm came out of nowhere. even though he gave us a syllabus with all the dates of when what paper is due and so on, he did not review for the mid-term at all. he gave us key terms of what is on the mid-term.
The whole point of this class is talking about our own experiences and I think its a good way to evaluate real life.He is very relax and cool and have stress-free class.

He has such a lack of consistent flow and the only material he throughly covers, is the topic of himself. Avoid at all costs. If you want to learn something, take someone else.
Prepare to learn a lot about the professor and not so much about the workings of psychology. Very close-minded in matters of sexuality - if you challenge him he will humiliate you. Very very easy A. One oral presentation, one final, one mid-term. A couple papers that are hardly even graded.
talks wayyy to much about himself in lectures. very nice guy though. didn't lecutre to the book at all, if you wanna do good on the tests you must read the book yourself rather than just listen to lectures. two essays which are pretty easy, one is a ten minute presentation.
Talks about himself a lot. He will hate you if you disagree with him. Easy A. He doesn't like homophobics and Christians. Don't disagree with him! I had him over the summer. You don't need to read the book. His final is take home and is really easy. There's a big extra credit opportunity. REALLY EASY. I recommend him.

Really cares about his subject, and obviously has a lot of knowledge to impart. He even managed to get some of the more apathetic and shyer students to contribute to class discussions, which were great. My only criticism is that he should have added not-from-the-textbook information to his lectures. Easy A if you're conscientious.
He's a cool and modern teacher. His lectures are interesting though he tends to go on a tangent sometimes. His assignments are fun or at least a little out of the box. Overall, I enjoyed the class.
You haven't met someone who is in love with themself until you have met Mylo Egipciaco! Talk about mucho creido! If you are an LGBT individual, take him, he will pass you just for having something in common with him. I can't say I disliked his class, I just disliked the fact that he would choose favorites. Overall easy class.
Not the easiest introductory psych class. He will make you work hard for the "A". I put a lot of effort in, and committed myself, and pulled off the "A". Be prepared to work.
Egipciaco is a good professor, and will indeed help you. This class is easy but you have to work for an A. He doesn't lecture much, but when he lectures; it's interesting. Also read the book, it will help on tests. His coursework puts an emphasis on Human Sexuality; grades are dependent on one paper, presentation, and two tests.
The only thing this professor really lectures on is LGBT rights. He does not teach very much from the book and the midterm and final are both directly from the book. Also, he lowers your grade if you don't show. Be prepared to teach yourself and you should be fine.
He is great, one of the best teacher at school and very exciting. If you want to get a good great, you have to read a book, but as a teacher he is wonderful.
all he does is lecture about lgbt people/rights. the tests are strictly from the book which he never lectures about. class has a huge emphasis on human sexuality. he is a good guy, just not a great professor. two tests, one oral presentation, and one paper. if you want to take psychology without doing much, take him.
If you're looking for a general overview of Psych, you won't get it here. You will feel as if you are taking a concentrated course in LGBT/Gender studies. Lectures are centered around homophobia and gender roles, no matter what the topic. Although it is an easy course. Exams questions come from textbook.
All he talks about is gay rights and lgbt and makes literally every class about that and rants on about his own life no one cares about. Makes you write a paper on your own sexuality and projects around lgbt. Super annoying and his voice is so boring. You learn nothing in his class. Don't recommend at all. Expensive book you don't even use.
Honestly I did not learn ANYTHING. All he talked about was about gay rights and how he is gay. I have nothing against the LGBT community, and I am also gay, but that is all he talked about. I did read on here that he did that but i thought i could handle it butI was wrong. I passed with an A tho.
Took him three semesters back and got an A. He was a good professor, big on LGBT rights. Kind of socially awkward but very intelligent. Weird thing though, a few days ago I received an email for him and he was asking for money because he was stuck in another country and lost his wallet and needed money. That was kinda freaky...

Pretty horrendous teacher I gotta say. I took him last semester and he was probably the worst teacher I've ever had. As a psych major, he gave me a terrible introduction to the field. He only talks about lgbt stuff and he singles out students for no reason. 1 speech, a mid term, 1 pop quiz, 1 extra credit group oral, and a final. Stay away please.
If you can do NOT take this teacher. Does not set clear rules and guidelines for assignments. He doesn't teach and makes you work with a group. He also does not give lectures or notes instead he gives a paper with words you must research with your group and figure out for yourself. I am an A student and I did not understand this class what so ever
This professor seems very confusing at first. He determines your overall grade in the class based on your top 3 grades. The midterm was taken as group, and the final was take home. We had 1 individual oral presentation (7-10 minutes) which everyone basically got an A on. Also, we had a paper which he didn't explain too well. This class is easy.

He is nice but I did not learn anything. All he talks about is LGBT and he gives you a bunch of LGBT articles to read. Talks about them the day after but nothing about critical thinking. Just do the midterm, oral presentation, and final and you'll get an A. Only buy the book at the end of the year for the psych questions to get a quick refund.

He is the most easiest professor I have ever taken. I am not in Psychology major, so it doesn't bother if he likes to talk about politic, human thoughts and LGBT. As well as it is easy A, I don't care! You can freely pick any topics for your presentation as well. Take this class if you don't want to study much.
I didn't really learn anything from this class. He mostly talked for an hour about LGBT mostly. Did some group work which was easy. Had to come up with 2 things from each chapter and hand it in at the end of the semester. A final at the end which I did with some friends together. The final and the 2 things for each chapter is all you need to pass.
There are group discussions on the previous reading every day which will really help you out. He emails you the first 3 ch. of the TB. He honestly makes psychology fun and enjoyable. He likes to know about your story which is cool if you like sharing your experiences, he makes it comfortable. He also grades on a test, midterm, a final, and an oral.
I took this class during the summer. his class was very easy as long as you do the assignments and put some time into it. his class was very clear. the assignments were due at the end of the week.
This Professor has been nothing but an understanding individual. he will email you the CPT 3 you need if you cannot afford the custom made book for his class. he emails promptly, grades instantly. Class expectations and assignments are clear. Read, do your assignments and you will PASS with an A. Great guy and progressive in his teachings.
This is not a critical thinking class. Lectures consist of him mumbling about current events. Doesnt reference book at all, test is based on the book. Not able to give clear instructions/grading even if asked to elaborate. He talks in circles endlessly. Do not take this class if youre a psych major. You wont learn anything except for his life.
Do not take!!!!! HE IS SO BORING. STARTS THE CLASS LATE. So many people drop out on the first days. Will go on and on about never ending topics. I did not learn anything. Doesnt use canvas so you are very unaware of your grade unless you ask.
Worst class in history. Has nothing to do with psychology except for terms and reading you get from the book that you have to read on your own at home. His lectures are long and boring.. he has no visual representation or class engagements on actual psych its only current events or lgbt and he treats all classes like his sexualities class

Having to switch to online due to COVID-19 he was very caring and understanding and still passed the class
The assignments are pretty easy, but he will still be understanding and postpone due dates. Provides solid information about the subject at hand and will allow you to retry quizzes for a better score. Definitely recommend this teacher for a nice chill experience.

Three discussions and three quizzes every week, no final. You can't rush through the work; they're locked until the due week. He offers two textbook choices for the class, DO NOT assume you need both; the free online version is all you need to pass. Manage your time well, and the workload won't be strenuous.

Doesn't care about students or their success. Doesn't teach any of the concepts to you. Rather, he sits in his chair while everyone gets into groups and tries to teach it to each other. Only subject he seems to care about is Gender and Sexuality. No powerpoints, no opportunity to take notes, disorganized syllabus. Learned nothing about psych.
unorganized. lectures don't make sense. his syllabus was a mess. not prepared at all and randomly did a quiz and just said the questions out loud and had us write the answer we thought. was not clear with the due dates. I honestly didn't learn anything and he talks about a lot of things that had nothing to do with the class.
Class be 3 hours long first of all and second he assigns an oral presentation sign up on the first day but we haven't even learned anything yet which was so dumb. Mostly just sits on the desk with no slides or anything he was so unprepared.
Easy class but you will not learn anything. We would sit in groups and be assigned random small topics from the textbook to read from and spend the rest of class with each group saying what they read about. It is an easy final and midterm if you read the textbook.
Just assigns textbook readings and easy quizzes, don't fall behind on work and you'll be fine. Make sure if you do fall behind to email immediately because he wont accept older late work. If you decide to do the research paper he assigns for extra credit it is not worth it tbh since it only gives you 20 points which is just 2 assignments
