One of the best professors I have seen at BCIT so far, which is saying a lot. P/T students were allowed to attend morning or evening class to fit their schedule, her notes were crystal clear, and if you did your homework you would notice the test and exam questions were very similar. WARNING: attend every class and stay until the last minute!

I had Myra for Business Statistics in the FMGT program. This class is a difficult one if you don't know what you're doing. True, Myra can be a ****. But she is truly a good teacher. Her notes are so clear it is impossible to not know what you are doing. Exams are similar to homework - no curve balls. She is the best instructor at BCIT.

Business Statistics is a difficult subject to learn, Myra Andrews helps to make this difficult material easier to understand. She is always there to help. As long as you do all of your homework you will pass the course. She is probably the best professor at BCIT.

You get what you put in with this class. Myra will give her all to help you but you have to show your efforts too. Her notes and exam prep were the best I've seen so far in 9 courses at BCIT. If you learn by doing examples then she is the best teacher. The HW comes with a very detailed answer key to help you learn

Myra is one of my favorite teachers in BCIT. She is really helpful and cares about her students. Be sure to go to each one of her lectures. Because her notes are the BEST. Her exams are not too hard. If you go through all the materials and do all the homework questions, you can easily get at least 80%

Probably one of the good teachers at BCIT! Her handouts/practice questions are exactly like the exam. If you need help she's always willing to help. She will call you out during lab IF you are being disruptive and loud but I loved that about her

She is one of the most caring instructors I've met at BCIT. You can tell that she really cares about her students and wants them to do well!

Great professor. Lectures are straight forward, she explains concepts very clearly and consisely, with lots of real world example and extrapolations. Very very accessible outside of class, gives time in class for homework. Homework isn't mandatory but you'd be a fool not to get the practice. Her quiz/midterm reviews include step by step instruction

If you're taking Stats, you already know what you're walking into. Myra's lectures are gold, she gives lots of resouces for review and time in class to work on assignments while she walks around making sure we're doing well. If you have to miss class, get notes!! As long as you put in the work (and somewhat like math) you'll be fine.

Absolutely the bomb. She's always there to help, but if you do something stupid she'll let you know it. Nothing is sugar-coated.

Very upfront and pushes you to do your best which shows how much she really cares about her students succeeding. Almost everything comes with detailed answer keys so you never get stuck at home wondering where you went wrong. She's always there for extra help. Overall if you put in the effort you will do great in her class.

Myra's homework is difficult, but it is the same level of difficultly as all of her exams. She has more than the required office hours and if you go to see her one on one she will not let go of the topic until she is convinced you understand what you are doing. I found Myra a great professor, there were no surprises when it came to quizzes and exams, she prepared you for what to expect. Lots of going through exercises, rather than reading from the text, which I find way more helpful. If she was teaching any of the future courses I need to take, I would pick her in a second!

Awesome, awesome, AWESOME stats instructor. It is by no means an easy course, and Myra's approach is very practical and hands-on. She goes through examples with you in class, provides great notes, and gives you time to do homework in class. If you're taking OMPT 1197, take it with Myra!

Very good teacher

Myra is awesome! Great sense of humour and gives you lots of time for homework in class. She explains things kind of quickly, but gives great notes so it's easy to teach yourself what you may have missed in class. The online homework application that she uses tells you if your answer is wrong & walks you through the right way to do it.

Skip and you won't really pass. There's quizzes every lab, but those are very helpful and she'll make you redo your work if something's missing. Really nice prof and very kind although when you ask her questions in the lab, she doesn't really answer your questions. Go to her office during her office hours! And she also doesn't memorize your names.

She is the best professor I would recommend. Gives a really good feedback and makes you believe you can do what you thought you couldn't. A little efforts are required from you to do the given homework if you really want to get good grades!

Her lectures might be a bit fast, but her easy exams make up for it. It is really surprising how easy her exams are, literally doing the review or practice exams guarantees an easy 'A' in her class.

Had her opmt1110 a long time ago. She made great lecture notes and lab exercises. Explain every question on the note and will help all of your questions if you ask. But still, you don't do lab exercise, you get a low grade. JUST TAKE HER CLASS AND GO TO CLASS AND DO LAB EXERCISE. EZ A

The BEST teacher. Really wants you to do well and provides excellent feedback. I previously took this class with another teacher and received 30%, thanks to Myra i was able to get a grade in the 70's. Highly recommend taking a class with her if you get the chance! Do the weekly homework before quizzes and you'll do well.

TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!! Lectures are extremely straight forward but she moves fast so make sure you are paying attention. Her exams are EXACTLY like the practice questions, so as long as you do them, the exams will be a breeze. Truly cares for her students and will go above and beyond to get them to pass. Could not recommend her enough.

What a gem of an instructor. Cares about the well being of her students. She will put so much of her own time into helping her students understand the lecture material. I was scared to take this class cas math was never my strong suit. But I had a final grade of 96% and I actually felt confident. M has wkly lectures and next class has quiz on that material. Closed book but she helps u and if you make a mistake, u can correct it before handing in. Good way to not fall behind. The free txtbk helped w harder material

It is one of the best math classes I have ever taken. There is a quiz every lab but the Lab instructor or Myra will help you and make sure you get that 100%. Material is straightforward and she gives you practice tests with very similar questions to the midterms and finals. She is super helpful and her TA Daraghma is amazing! Take her class!!!

Best teacher at BCIT. Quizzes every lab, but she will help you through them to make sure you get 100%. Even lets you come at office hours to do a quiz if you missed the class. She posts all lecture videos, notes, and worksheets on learning hub. Easy A just by going to all labs and doing the lab exercises on learning hub.

I like the teaching of Andrew Mayra, She records lectures, and while teaching she gives real-life examples which helps in understanding the concept. Moreover, extra questions and lab exercises provided by her are great ways to practice and evaluate yourself.

Do not listen to the person who rated her 1 star. Whoever gave that review is incompetent, because Myra is a great instructor. If you listen carefully, you will do beyond well in her courses. Probably the best instructor I have had so far.

Myra Andrews is a professor I've grown to respect during my 7 week intense course with her. She is an incredibly dedicated professor who is willing to help out if you're willing to put in the work. She helped me outside of school hours and even at night to answer any the questions I had. She's an amazing professor and I would work with her again.

Myra really cares about her students so much so she will stay after hours in order to make sure they understand the math. I also like that she actually taught the course like it was meant to be taught with the calculator. Another thing I appreciated was the in-depth explanation for everything. TAKE HER COURSE SHES GREAT!!!!

Myra is the GOAT! She is literally best instructor in BCIT! I'm usually bad at Math but for some reason I became good at Math bc of her. If u do ur lab hw and re-watch her lectures if u don't understand, you will leave with an A in the class. No wonder why a lot of students get an A in her class. She teaches u math techniques that are so helpful!

DON'T TRY TO CHEAT. SHE WILL CATCH YOU. MYRA DON'T MISS. The good news is she tries so hard to ensure that every student can pass with flying colours so you won't need to cheat. It is fully possible to pass Business Math with 100% grade with only a reasonable amount of work.

Ensure you create a good bond with her as she is knowledgable about many things about your degree or diploma. She gives homework, and provides step by step solutions to ensure you are learning properly unlike other professors.

It's rare that you find an instructor who truly cares about their students and the subject. Myra is both passionate about her students and all things statistics, which makes it easy to learn from her. She helps her students succeed and is always available in her office for extra help. I would re-take this course just to learn from her again.

I recommend you take her class, if you have a strong sense of algebra, you will do great. She was right about how hard these courses are. be aware if you don't have the math skills, you will not pass.

If you want to study math Myra is the only prf who can teach you,bcz calculator is hard to use but if she teaches nd u practice it will be on your trips, feeling sad for those who fail in her class bcz they don't want to study. I didn't get seat in one course bcz it was full she emailed someone to help me and I got seat in 5 mins, no one cares this much for their students but she do.she tries her best to pass everyone, but don't cheat she is very smart at catching i love her class examples.
