Taking lab with her this summer. Nice lady with a very distinct personality. The lab is not easy but she tries to help. Her tests come directly from whats covered and wrote on the board so no surprises. I cant say she was extremely helpful this summer but she did hurt her leg the first day so she mostly sat and gave orders.

Ms.Evans is an awesome teacher! I had her for Micro lab & I loved it. She is extremely helpful, and you can tell that she not only wants you to succeed, but that she LOVES what she does. Oh and did I mention she is hilarious? LOVE love love her! Highly recommend. :-D

Mrs. Evans is a wonderful Professor. Hilarious, and explains material in layman's terms which makes it extremely easy to understand for us non-science majors. I looked forward to her class everyweek. Her microbiology lab was great, she made everything crystal clear and lets you use your notebook for tests. She wants students to pass and also has a good sense of humor. She picks on people from time to time but it's completely harmless. Good teacher, I am taking her again.

By far the BEST professor I have ever had! Everything she says is so simple to understand, there is no way you walk out of her class wondering what the hell was discussed. She makes the class fun w/ her loudness & humor. Offers extra credit, very fair on tests. Hard but AP isnt supposed to be easy. Taking her for 3 more classes!

Ms.evans is funny and fun but that does not compare to all the studying you will have to do. Yes it is college and a hard course but she pretty much gives all these slide and you have to know all of it gives you no clue as to what is on the test. She treats everyone as if they are going for nursing. If you need a an A do not take her!

I have never encountered a professor with such vibrant enthusiasm regarding the sciences as professor Evans. She's the ultimate motivator to all of her students. Boredom is an impossibility!! Although she may be challenging, it is only preparing students for the more difficult courses in the future... especially if pursuing health sciences!

The book is not used a lot but you should still get it, ALWAYS print out the slides so you can follow along as she lectures, she talks fast! Um, I can understand why everyone thinks she's so great. But to me, she was very condescending and humiliated me every chance she got. I GUESS she's better than the other Microbio professors, but it just felt like whenever you asked a "stupid question" she'd make fun of you or roll her eyes at you. (She has nice eyes though...) Oh and bonus points she gives out once in a while are great....

Regardless of what people are complaining about Mrs. Evens is the coolest teacher that I have ever come across. Yeah her class is hard but if you aren't lazy (like the complainers on here) then you can pass this class. She is there if you need her and will help you with any issue that you have. I recommend her to anyone.

Had prof. Evans for a&p, and she is by far the best teacher I have ever had. She has more energy for teaching then I could have imagined. Some people do not like her responses to stupid questions, but I think its great. It really makes you think critically. And if you do not like being made feel like you are dumb, then dont ask stupid questions.

Great teacher! Stays a little after class to answer questions or talk to students. Has quizzes every lab day, at the beginning of lab so dont be late, the quizz you will be doing that day are on the lab so read it before you come in. Test are EXACTLY like the reviews! Two short papers 150 words each are due in the class, they aren't hard.

Took Evans for A&P1 last semester. There aren't enough words to describe just how awesome her class and teaching ability were. Sorely missing her now that I am taking A&P2 with someone else who doesn't even come close. Go out of your way to take Evans no matter what the cost.

Prof. Evans is amazing!! I definately recommend her. I took her in a summer 6 week course and got an A, so anybody can do it! I had her for lecture only and we didn't use the textbook, she taught only off of powerpoints. Recording her is also very helpful. She tends to talk fast but she makes sure you get all the info you need to know for the test.

If you need to take a Microbiology class, TAKE HER!!! Even if you are not interested at the start of the class, you will be hooked and totally understanding Microbiology. Ms. Evans is an amazing teacher, and wants nothing but the best for each and every student.

I took her for lab and she is great . Attendance is required since is a lot of work to do in lab. You have a skill check, an unknow , two exams and notebook check which on the final you are able to use.TAKE HER IF YOU MICROBIOLOGY she is very attentive and loves her job.

Mrs. Evans is an amazing teacher! She clearly loves what she is teaching and that is shown and makes the class fun. You can't slack though and expect a good grade, by no means am I an A student but I received over a 100% in both MCB 1000 and 1000L. I have a BS from USF and she is the best teacher I have ever had!

Class is hard as heck but she makes it fun and bearable at 8 in the morning. It's hard to fall asleep in her class because she is so loud. Loved her stories they helped me remember lecture stuff for the test. She does not give reviews but she goes over the really important stuff a lot. She talks super fast (record the lecture). She uses PowerPoints(pay attention to the pictures).Make sure to write down everything she writes. She's super energetic and funny, you'll love her! Make sure to review several times the powerpoints and lab stuff. Not an easy A, requires a lot of memorization. Don't buy the book, it's not require.

All textbook use was on my own. She presented the material well, even when she didn't agree with it. Her upbeat attitude made it easier for me to pay attention. She's there all week. Professor Evans is a sassy lady. She rubs some people the wrong way but I loved her. She loves biology and wants you to love it as well. Many extra credit opportunities. Tests were a bit confusing but also include extra credit for little facts she throws out in class. Quiz every week that aren't too difficult. Class gets easier every week.

It was a pleasure and privilege to have been in her class. She is very passionate about Science, and does a great job sparking interest in her students. The material in the lab is not very easy, but she takes the time to ensure her students are well-prepared for exams. I wish I could have her again. I strongly recommend her if you have the chance.

Finally, a teacher who loves to teach and is passionate about what she teaches. She is inspirational and cares about her students. She challenges students to think beyond just the typical tests questions and rather makes you apply what you have learned in class. Yes, studying is a must for her tests, it's called college. GREAT teacher, you just need to stay focused and pay attention. You really need to study if you want to succeed. If you record her lectures, and start studying ahead of time for her tests there is absolutely no reason for you to fail. You don't need the book for lecture, with her PowerPoint notes you'll be fine. Definitely take her for anatomy .

I am international student and Anatomy is so hard for me, but she is amazing. I love her; she teach perfect, specially the muscle and nerve part of lecture . Also, she is wonderful in lab ; When I don't understand she repeat and explain again for me She is very understanding .

The course can be rigorous because it is a SCIENCE course but if you try you can bet on an A. She is also more than willing to help you understand concepts - should you have difficulty. Made my A but I had to study my butt off for every single test. Her test are hard she presents the lecture well. I enjoyed all her stories but the tests are really hard. You have to study a lot to do well. Our class ended up having 9 people with As and I am glad I am one of them. Now I can breathe a little before I take her next semester for A&P 2

She is a good teacher, but can be extremely sarcastic and condescending. Seems to be a theme with feedback for her. She makes the gobs of material easier to tackle, but will absolutely make fun of you in front of the entire class. She pretty much thinks all questions are stupid. Probably not the best professor if you have thin skin.

I love her quick wit. Just don't ask dumb questions though. She will make you realize it was a dumb question. She answered all my questions every class. It is probably best to go see her in person if you have a stupid question. She is really funny and I wish I could take her for more classes. She is one of the best I have had at HCC.

She is good. You have to do the work to know and understand the required information but she is "there for you". The test are comprehensive so get with a study group you will need it. No study guide so pay close attention to the lecture and study WHATEVER she writes on the board. STUDY STUDY STUDY for the test and you will be fine.

Few teachers at HCC will care about the student's overall success as much as Prof Evans will. The class notes are condensed in Power Point Lectures which YOU MUST go over carefully to get an A in her classes. Prof Evans gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. You would be making a mistake by not taking her.

All I can say is wow. Professor Evans is hands down my favorite professor I've had at HCC. She is very very goofy and will really wake you up with her laughs and cute little snorts. She's Funny, smart, Straight to the point, no sugar coating and expects you to know your stuff so don't ask questions that she's already answered for you in the syllabus or on the board.(JUST READ ITS SIMPLE) It is helpful to read the lab exercise prior to attending the class. Prof Evans is great. She laughs at her own jokes and is such a happy person. I took her for Bio lab and honestly wish I could have taken her for the lecture, too. She gives one ten-question quiz every week but covers ALL of the material the week before and the quizzes are easy if you just review a few times before the quiz. Mostly memorizing.

Professor Evans is the most amazing teacher that I have ever had. If I had to say there was one definitive thing that separates her from other highly rated A&P professors(because I've taken two others as well), it is that when you walk away from her class, you will have done more than just memorize the material. She makes you want to learn more.

Dude just don't ask any questions, she will make you look dumb like real dumb. Don't even try to be cute because you will end up looking DUMB. I was never a victim but from what I have seen its not a risk you want to take. Other than that she's a good professor and straight forward. Tells you what you need to know, so study well.

She gives good info about the test in class so I wouldn't skip a class. She is really into science and makes it funny, but you really need to study for the exam b/c its a lot of info.

She was hands down the BEST professor I've ever had at HCC. Very enthusiastic, funny, and full of knowledge. Anatomy 2 is a hard class, but with some studying (listening to her recorded lectures) the class is very do-able.

Professor Evans has set the bar high for all other instructors. She can be sassy and hilarious yet is extremely professional in all the ways that matter. Most of all she respects and cares about ALL of her students, even those who struggle. Her high moral character, intelligence and passion for the subject matter is truly unmatched by others.

Study the powerpoints she gives you and you will make an A. You can not simply memorize for this class though, you must apply and understand the key concepts as a whole in order to make an A on the exams.

AMAZING teacher and keeps you interested. You have to STUDY, STUDY, STUDY to pass her class. AP is not an easy class but Prof. Evans helps make it interesting. You can pass this class as long you study outside of the class daily. Few extra credits given so take advantage.

I took Mrs. Evans for anatomy 1 with a lab. The material itself is really really hard, but she is great teacher! She lets you record her lectures which is the biggest help, in my opinion.. I recommend not taking notes in class, and instead go home and re listen to the lecture and then take notes. She is very sarcastic and but is totally worth it!

If you study, you will do just fine. Professor Evans is loud and animated but she is a great teacher. I recommend printing out her slides and highlighting important information so you can pay full attention during the lectures.

She gives lots of extra credit opportunity which is also helpful being that your only grades received are test grades and 2 Gordon rule assignments.

Prof. Evans is very enthusiastic and engaging. Take detailed notes during lectures and start memorizing them RIGHT AWAY, and you'll do fine on the tests (the only thing that determines your grade). BSC 2010 is a Gordon Rule course by state mandate, and she gives two very easy writing assignments to cover that requirement.

Just yes! She is very clear on what you need to know to pass the class. She gives you ways to remember info. She's sassy but she cares! An 8 am class is no problem with her, she'll wake you right up. Her lectures are interesting and she is a wonderful and passionate teacher. I can't wait to take her in future classes! I highly recommend her class.

I found anatomy to be a really hard class for me specifically because its so much memorization. Mrs. Evans helped make this topic easy to understand but only graded tests and quizzes. YOU WILL HAVE TO STUDY A LOT! But her lectures ar very entertaining. I recommend recording them as a study method and so will the teacher.

Took Professor Evans for AP1 Lecture & lab. All he exams are written by her so study her slides. She tells you what You must know for exams. Very inspirational & hilarious. She makes you work for your grade. I would recommend her. She is totally the best. Even if you dont get an A, you leave her class with a lot of knowledge. Record lectures.

It's not that hard to get in A in 2085 if you put in extra effort and study but 2086 was almost impossible. I recorded and listened to her lectures almost everyday, studied and took practice tests and I still ended up with a high B. She's hard but her lectures are exciting and hilarious. She makes it exciting and fun to learn the material.

Man, I love Evans. I wish I could take her for all of my classes. Her lectures are great, she tells you whats going to be on the exams (she makes them herself). Youre going to have to put in work obviously, and she doesnt round up. But, in my opinion she helps make the copious amount of information retainable. Best science teacher, no regrets.

She is animated and emphasises what you need to know. You have to carry knowledge from one section to the next. Record her lectures, review notes, easy A. A's are earned not given.

Professor Evans is a truly great teacher. Her classes are HARD - not impossible - but hard. I'd still take her again over an "easy" teacher because she teaches you so you walk away actually having learned and been able to apply what you've learned. Don't take if you want an easy A. I had Professor Evans for Anatomy I and anatomy lab. She is hilarious, and entertaining during her lectures, you won't fall asleep. Be sure to keep up, you won't pass unless you pay attention and study hard. she doesn't play when it comes to work, grades fair.

For me to take one teacher for bio2, A&P 1,2, shes good. Only had B in A&p 2 lab. Very caring but you must read. Multiple choice exams with few short answers or true or false questions. Do yourself a favor by listening in class instead of looking for flaws in your teacher, youre not perfect either. I wish her the best in all her endeavors.

I learned so much in this class and she always answered my questions. She is a passionate teacher and you can tell that by the way she lectures. You don't need the book she gives you everything you need and she has recorded zoom lectures which are so helpful.

I took her for all my pre-reqs, was recommended to me I was warned about how she answers questions. She is sarcastic and I loved it. She doesn't mind answering questions but if they are dumb beware because she is witty and her facial expressions are priceless. She was always available to meet with her one on one. I took Professor Evans and she was an amazing teacher. A lot of people say she is a tough grader but I beg to differ. Professor Evans was my teacher about 5 years ago, but I still remember she was a great teacher. She had a very engaging way of teaching and used drawings to help you remember things. She always had a fun positive attitude, she is very expressive so that also made her lectures more interesting. She is a little strict. She also offered extra credit.

I honestly really enjoyed taking this class even though it was online. Her grades are very exam-heavy, which can seem intimidating at first; however, all of her exam questions are fair and she gives you 5 possible extra credit points for each exam. She repeats whatever is going to be on the exam multiple times so you can't miss the important topics

My favorite teacher at HCC. The best. Shes tough and caring. I read some comments on here and my favorite zoom was a Q&A when she read e-mails she received from students and she answered them. She was hilarious. Asks stupid questions get snarky answers. You better toughen up if you want to be a nurse.

You will regret not choosing her. 5 Exams-Each test has chances for extra credit. She gives 2 more chances for EC through donations. TAKE ADVANTAGE! The jokes she shares helps the information stick. Only the lazy students gave her a 5.0 and below. She's not an easy A for lazy students. That wouldn't be fair to the students that studied. Grade: 98%

Proffessor Evans is great. Anatomy is hard but you learn a lot and she is very encouraging. In lab you have to write in all your answers and you only get a few minutes to know everything but since our class was small she spent a lot of time with us one on one and stayed later if we needed her too.

This course was so hard for 1 credit but I got a B. Proffessor Evans is so helpful and she lets you record the lab which helps when you are studying. There is such so much to know and you have to write out all your answers for quizzes and tests. Get ready to do alot of work for 1 credit.

Best professor ever. Lectures are amazing, she is funny and it feels like you are in class. She grades really fast answers emails all times of the day or night and will schedule a private zoom in like 2 minutes if you ask her to. I would recommend her to anyone who really wants to learn. All exams are proctored and count for a lot of your grade.

I have taken majority of my classes online and some in person but by far she has been the BEST at teaching. Her lectures can be lengthy but if you listen and go through the power points you will do well. 5 exams proctored and gives 5 extra credit points on each. 1 Extra credit assignment. No other assignments. literally just study for exams!

While the classes may be exam heavy, she is very clear about what you need to know in order to pass these exams. Her lectures make difficult concepts easy to understand. Took this professor's lecture only, and her lecture videos have saved my life; they are AMAZING!!! I will say she can be a bit blunt toward students, but overall, she's a great professor. If you really want to learn Human Anatomy take Professor Evans! She is extremely responsive. You have 5 exams that she provides all the answers for in her lectures. If you're having an issue learning material she will schedule Zoom sessions to help. She also offers extra credit on the exams. She is my D9 family. She's a gem!

Took her during the summer for a 6 week lecture/lab class for Bio II, and it was an intense class material wise but prof made lectures were amazing and you could learn anywhere. Tests were average and she offered easy extra credit. Just study for the tests honestly. Take her!

Evans is honestly a great professor. It took a minute to get used to her style, but she really is understanding and passionate about what she teaches. Answered emails quick, graded fairly/quickly, and if you had a question was more than happy to answer. Only thing I'd say is don't take her tone at face value, it doesn't reflect her actual one.

I love professor Evans! I took her online A&P I 8 week course and loved it. It was a lot of information for sure, but her lectures made my life so much easier! She is passionate and loves what she does. She repeats important information over and over again, so when you take a test and see these question you can almost hear her voice in your head.

I took 2085 and 2085L both online because I am finishing at HCC and pursuing a Pre Med degree at a university. Very good class and I learned so much, but if I were to recommend anything it is this: watch the lecture videos and take very good notes. She also repeats things a lot in her lectures which makes it easier to remember certain topics.

Such a great teacher! Clear about what she expected us to know and was always available to ask questions. Her lectures are really long but she is so funny and entertaining that the material sticks. Exams are made straight from lecture material and done with honor lock. Timed quizzes are a bit stressful but rewarding. I highly recommend her !

I took Professor Evan's class last semester for BSC-2085, and although I dreaded the semester because I had heard how difficult anatomy is, Professor Evan's lectures were truly amazing and prepared me incredibly for the test. This course will effectively prepare you for the future of healthcare and the required classes.

Best professor I've had, absolutely HILARIOUS, can't breathe from laughing every class. She keeps everyone engaged and teaches in a way that makes you remember just by listening. Exams are straightforward and always says what to expect/know, just study! I had over 100 in lecture and lab. Offers extra credit, grades are exams and a few discussions.

The Dr.Bailey of HCC. Shes tough and will make you think before you speak but she's an amazing teacher and I learned alot. Her personality can come across a little intimidating at first but she does it to make you a better student and she's actually really sweet.

Thank you Dr. Evans. You are one of the best. I learned so much in your courses. See you next week for anatomy & physiology 2.

She's amazing. I took her for both lab and lecture. Tests are honorlocked and all of them have 5 extra credit points built in. If u watch her lectures and take notes, you'll pass. It was just stressful bc it was an accelerated course, but so worth it. Learned a lot. She gives a list with all the tissues u need to know for each lab exam. 10/10

I chose Professor Evans because of her excellent ratings, and I have no regrets. Her class is very lecture-heavy, hours of recorded lessons, but I swear she makes them engaging and easy to learn. She tells you exactly what is on the exams, so be sure to write notes. Dedicate your time to this class, and you'll pass, I promise. I recommend her.

Professor Evans provides you with everything that will be on the exam. I recommend studying thoroughly because all of her quizzes and exams are fill-in-the-blank and some matching. She also has lab videos for you that are easy to follow. Besides that, Professor Evans is a great teacher, and I do recommend her. Repetition is key!

Professor Evans has great lectures, and she's pretty funny. There is a recommended textbook, but if you use her lectures, you will do great! Her exams are challenging but true to the material in the lectures. She provides extra credit, too, which is nice. I wish I had taken her for BSC 2085

Going into this class I had a different mindset, and I kinda messed up with the first exam but after getting her lesson style I started doing much better on test! I believe if I had done well on the first exam I would had a better grade but it's alright, her exams are exactly what she says on her lecture videos. As long as you listen you'll past.

Tests are easy if you study, but reviewing the lectures is a must. 5 tests which are all of your grade with the exception of 5 discussion posts. Tests are mostly multiple choice, but the lab is mostly short answer. I found it easy, but if you are not a good test taker, consider taking another class. She is very passionate about what she does!

no quizzes just exams, she gives 1 extra credit opportunity at the end. The lectures are long, but she does explain everything that will be on the exams. Her exams are multiple choice but sometimes at the end will have a free response. She was very passionate but the videos were not in order of the PowerPoints which was confusing.

Ignore the negative reviews about this professor. Don't let it deter you from taking this class. She is tough on you but it's for the best, but remember it's also a tough class. Review her lectures, it's your ticket to passing this class. You have to put in the work to see the results. Repetition is key and she does a great job at making you learn

I lovee miss evans!! taking her class for my freshman year of college was honestly a blessing and i couldn't ask for a better professor! she was funny and had great real life examples to help us understand what we were learning, failing her class is hard if you genuinely dont want to pass
