I have never been good at the math. She taught me a lot. Now I understand math and I kind of enjoy it.

Awesome Awesome teacher. Uses a program called math excel (online homework)and teaches how to use it efficiently. NO TEXTBOOKS! Shes funny and time always seems to go by fast because your learning and entertained at the same time. Your grade is based on your tests but you can always do test corrections. GET HER! SHES AWESOME!

She's awesome. Comes off a little rough in the beginning but don't drop her, it turns out to be what you'll love most about her. She makes math fun and easy to understand. The class is interactive and goes by real fast.

She is a great teacher, she explains everything step by step. She always picks someone to solve a problem, and if you don't know how to solve it she'll help you. Homework was extra credit (Mathxl), we only had 7 tests and the lowest-grade was dropped. I would really recommend her as a teacher.

Her class is easy. You dont have to buy the math textbook for this class because she teaches using math xl, which is also were you get your homework. You dont really have to do your homework because your graded by your test scores(5 or 6 tests in one semester)..Take it from me I got a A and never did the homework all I did is study for the tests.

Prof. Moody is probably one of the most understanding math teachers on campus. She teaches a practical approach to Precalc and all of our assignments were done via MathXL so book was unnecessary. She's straightfoward in her teaching but if you're having trouble, make sure to let her know ASAP and she'll help as much as she can.

Very good teacher. She knows the material very well. Take notes during class and attend the tutoring she calls "Power Study". She has a teacher assistant who is helpful as well. She has her homework over Math XL. Many many problems to solve there but its great practice if you devote yourslef. She is very helpful but as a person can be very intense when she lectures

Moody is the type of person I would let hang out with my friends and I to have a beer, she is so cool.She has amazing energy and she's a good teacher to have as the last class of the day because shes not boring. She is very engaging with all students and her methods of teaching were very comprehensible. I struggled with math before she came along.

Anyone can get an A in her class if they have the time and ambition. She drops the worst test score, and allows you to rework the others for extra credit. Also you can tutor outside of class for extra credit. Her teaching style is fantastic. Only complaint is she assigns 4-6 hours of MathXL homework every single day.

Great teacher who has a grasp on how to explain things. Uses Math XL which is online, so you dont have to buy books. Math XL cost around $40. Keeping up on the homework is the only real challenge, but its only a fraction of the final grade. Tests are not multiple choice so its a little harder than other classes.

Take this class instead of taking 101 and 104 because it is not difficult. It covers a lot of previous material from 60 and 70 as long as you go to the lectures and do the HW in MathXL you are guaranteed an easy A. Always ask questions if not sure about something because more likely than not others have the same question take it from experience.

Amazing person, she is truly passionate about her work and she is very willing to help you with any q's you have. She also makes sure you understand the problems and formulas, you will work through math xl, which is better than the textbook. Ms. Moody also offers extra credit, take her, you wont't regret it.

Just to let you guys know, Professor Moody is great. She makes sure you know your stuff by asking you questions in class and walking you through the material. One thing I didn't enjoy was the daily homework. I ended up only doing 70% because of the short deadlines but I still pulled an A. Really knowledgeable and loves to laugh. Her class is great.

Come to class every day and take notes, do the homework, and I promise you you will easily pass this class. Also, you don't really need the textbook, she uses MathXL to give out homework.

Professor Moody doesn't just know about math, she knows how to take a difficult concept and make it easy to understand. She's a great teacher. She likes to "pick" on her students so expect to be called on during class to answer at least one question.

If you're one of those people who tends to fall asleep on Math class, take Moody. She always asks questions and you won't even have time to focus on anything else but what she's saying. Very smart woman, sarcastic, and funny. We had homework everyday and some quizzes, which is good because that's how you study for the test.

Professor Moody is the best Math teacher I have had. She understands how to teach Math unlike anyone I've seen. Its not that she loves math, which she does, its that she knows why math is hard and how to make that not a problem. She will make you answer questions at least every other day out loud. Ms. M is a great professor. This is my second time taking math 45 and I finally get it. Last time I took it with the highest rated professor and he totally didn't offer any help for those of is struggling. Ms. M even has a tutor that helps in class and offers group tutoring several times through week. What else could you ask for? Love her

I'm currently taking Ms. Moody and all I can say is that she is a great professor. The test are not hard because a day before we have a review day with groups. Honestly I have passed all the tests with 90's, yes if's true she takes off points if you miss a step but it doesn'f hurt your score! If you have trouble with math I highly recommend her!

Her riddles actually help you get more practice. If you have a hard time with math she makes it so easy to understand! Just do all your homework and classwork and you will pass.

The professor was pretty good, a few people had recommended her. I did have issues with the homework, as not all of it was covered in class. I found myself watching lectures on youtube quite a bit. The grading was a bit erratic, points discounted for seemingly irrelevant things.

By far the best math professor I've had! I've taken this class twice and failed because other professors lacked clarity and helpfulness. Professor Moody is very good at her job and is obviously passionate about the subject. Never did I feel embarrassed about asking any questions. She will help and explain every step until you can get the material!

Really fun. you must show work on the exams to get full credit. If doing the honors program be prepared to do a lot of homework. Her lectures are easy to follow and she will clarify if asked. She's very upbeat and encourages you to make study buddies in the class.

Professor Moody is exceptional at what she does. I haven't done math homework since high school in 1989 and even then barely passed. Ms. Moody, though heavy with the homework, showed us how to work through math problems in a way that made more sense than the way I was taught. My expectation was to finish with a "C", but I got an "A". Thank you.

Professor Moody is amazing. I had her in the summer for Math 45 and I had to get into her class again for Math 60. Currently waitlisted. But, worth the wait. Very professional and has the best TA's!!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER IF YOU THINK MATH IS NOT YOUR THING. SHE DOES NOT MAKE YOU FEEL DUMB!!!!

If you're not good at math you have to take her. She tries to find various ways to teach you the material. Expect quizzes after each section. Tests after each chapter. Do the reviews on math xl and you'll be fine, great practice for each test.

Great teacher. Doesn't hesitate to call on people when she asks about a problem, but never makes you feel dumb and will go through everything step by step until you understand. Attend class as much as possible, and do all the homework (its very similar to the tests). Recommendation: do the mathxl reviews, they are practically all the test question

I'm glad that I chose her this semester because she truly cares about her students. If the class is confused at any point she explains it in a different way until we understand. Prof moody is a gem ! She is quite intimidating at first, but once you get to know her she is funny and no nice ! She makes math so easy! 8 tests and drops the lowest. Easy A just do all the hw(math xl) as all the problems on tests are similar if not identical to hw problems. Con: She picks on everyone in class once a day, so be prepared.

Great teacher! Everything is clear and easy. If you forget something from previous math courses, she will teach you again within one minute. She will pick everyone at least once per day.

Overall, I enjoyed having Prof. Moody as an instructor because her lectures were easy to follow. Expect to have many quizzes, about two per class (usually group quizzes that are worth 2 points each). On occasion she would have a grading error and did not fix. Grades are also not posted at all during the semester. Extra credit questions on all tests

Professor Moody is in charge of the Honors Program and also teaches Math 48 and Math 60 and I believe she teaches another math class. She is amazing teacher and always helpful when teaching math. She wants you to succeed so I would take her again. I hate math but with her made me appreciate it!

Yeah that's right, I received a D for this class yet I'm still giving Moody a 5. Why? Well despite me having all of the havoc going on with my personal life outside (Family). I can't emphasize enough that she's an amazing teacher! Although,you have to play your part and not trea this class like one of your HS math classes and guarantee you'll pass!

Class' relatively easy at first, but later on you have to be in class or else you'll definitely lose the pace and get an F. I personally would have got an A if it wasn't for personal stuff at the last month of class. Trust me, ANYONE can pass this class if you pay attention and go everyday. Oh and Honors' not worth it but I think PTK is better imo

Mrs. Moody is one of the BEST math professors I've had. She is very committed to helping her students and is excited/ lively every class. She gives quizzes/ per section so expect at least two per class. She's super sweet and understanding, she won't move on to something else if the whole class doesn't understand a concept... overall she is great!

Im so happy I decided to take her class. Ive always struggled in math and had previously taken math120 with a professor that would always yell at us and I hated it. If you need to take math120 for your major and arent very strong in math make sure you take it with professor Moody! Shes a great lecturer you just have to make sure you attend class.

This is a P or NP class. I greatly respect Professor Moody. I took her for math 48 and she is pretty caring about what goes on in the class. I noticed she was understanding and gave chances to catch up if you were behind. To be honest, I havent seen anything that would lead me to believe that she is jerk professor. I would take her again.

Moody is a great math teacher she shares knowledge but is not easy to pass her class, and every day will be pop quizzes and test at the end of every chapter. You can only drop one test, and the final is cumulative (you see everything is on the test). She cares about the students and tries to the best to make sure class is simple and complex.

I love this teacher, she single-handedly took care of most of the problems I had in Math in less than a few weeks. Thanks to her I finally feel confident in Math classes. Even though I'm very shy and she would constantly call on me I still very much enjoyed her class. I can't praise her enough.

Super dedicated to ensuring her students fully grasp the concepts covered. I'm not bad at math, but it doesn't come naturally to me either. She made calculus click for me. Willing to speak one on one if you need clarification or further help on anything. She doesn't announce it, but if you have a 95% in the class she lets you skip the final.

She is a great professor she loves to teach math. I took her in the summer and I understood the material way better when I repeated math 244 even when it was 8 weeks. Don't get shy to ask for help, she helps you understand the material. The hw is doable and usually due after finishing the chapter plus there is practice test that are helpful.

Due to COVID19, this became an online class. It was extremely terrifying. However, you won't regret taking professor Moody!! She's such an understanding person. She cares for her students and does anything she can to do to help us understand. Even before COVID19, lectures were amazing! You'll love her teaching.

She was great and super helpful while taking her class. Due to the coronavirus most of our class was online and she had zoom meetings everyday, Monday thru Thursday, for students to join and ask questions. She provided notes and video lessons for all lessons. The majority of the grade is composed of the tests which are similar to practice exams.

Had her for online during covid, didn't have any zoom meetings so made it easy to make a schedule for myself for the class. Basically watching YT vids from her to learn the subject.

Took her class online during pandemic. I have struggled with math for years and have taken this class in the past with other professors but just couldn't get the hang of it. Professor Moody breaks things down for you and also is quick to respond if you get stuck. If you struggle in math, but want to actually learn then take her.

Mrs. M is a great professor, I was able to learn AND understand everything by just watching her lectures. Everything explained in her lectures is extremely clear, but she still has office hours in case you need more help. She will definitely make you work for your grade. Professor Moody goes through the process of solving a problem step by step, she makes sure that each step is visualized for everyone. She really cares about her students, is really understanding and open to helping each person. She makes sure her students understand the "why" portion of how certain things work in math. She tries to check up on everybody during class, especially the ones she can tell are struggling. Gives you a chance to try out problems for yourselves during lectures. Lots of online HW due every weekday. It is a 6 credit class though, so you have to create time for it. At the end of the semester, she opened the HW again if you couldn't finish.

She is amazing, extremely patient, tons of opportunities for extra credit. I was scared at first to take a 6 credit course over the summer but I did just fine. Lots of homework on my MathLab but all tests are questions super similar to the hw questions. Super fast at grading, and she will pick on everyone at least once per class

Ms. moody makes everything super understandable. As long as you attend her lectures and ask questions you will do great. Practice tests on MyMathLab are almost exactly the same as the real tests just different numbers. She pleads for students to ask questions if they are unsure about something and is happy to answer. You wont regret taking her.

Ms. Moody has a great style of teaching and is a very kind and caring professor. Ultimately though it is up you if you pass or fail. Just be present for every lecture, take meaningful notes, review her lecture videos for concepts you dont understand, do the homework and study for tests, you'll be good! My biggest advice? She is extremely patient and ensures that she adapts to your learning style so that you truly learn. I highly recommend her and already have to friends! My math was rusty and I got a c- in high school for pre-calc. Here, I got a B because Ms. Moody really goes above and beyond to help her students understand the material. Be sure to stay on top of your work. Many tests and homework, but she tries really hard to make sure her students will pass. It also helps that she has youtube lecture videos.
