Myron is great! He teaches a 2 1/2 hr class, but it never even lasts 2 hours. He gives prizes in class and is very personable and funny. What a sweet guy.

Start your term paper early and don't think that it will be graded it easily.
myron is one of the best profs i've had. he explains things clearly, and lets his students know what is expected of them.
Myron is an awesome teacher. He gives out prizes in class and always makes fun of Evansville and Fort Wayne students. His tests are kind of confusing but you figure it out as you go along
Easiest business class there is. however, myron is missing a few screws.
Myron is a great Professor. This class is pretty easy, just make sure to study both the book and the notes before the tests. Sometimes the answers he gives are not the same as the book, so follow what he gives you instead. Also start your term paper early to get extra credit.
he is a good teacher, explains things well and is very willing to answer questions...first test is harder than I expected, but by no means impossible
great teaching, subject matter a little boring at times.
easy class, but pretty fun.
Very easy. Show up to class take a quiz and get an A
Moe is a great guy, he throws out either candy or something else every day at class and even plastic shot glasses sometime, he calls them "mouth wash cups". He knows what he is talking about, he consults businesses all over the country
If you don't get an A in this class it's your own fault. With all of the hard classes that you have to take before ICORE, you are stupid if you don't take advantage of this one and get the A. Myron is a great guy who knows his stuff, as he works in the field. You will learn in there. Make sure to get your project reviewed by an AI.
He has such a great personality. Actually made class interesting and loves IU football.
Moe's class is a lot of fun and he is a funny guy. It is not hard if you look over the chapter before class and take notes in class. Tests aren't bad but you still need to study. WORK HARD ON THE TERM PROJECT! IT IS IMPORTANT AND WILL HELP YOU TREMENDOUSLY IF YOU DO WELL!
Moe is amazing. He wants everyone to succeed in his class. If you don't come to his class, you will not do very well. Tests are college level tests, and the Term Project is critical if you want a good grade. If you show up to class, take notes, and STUDY, you will do very well.
Moe is hilarious and keeps the class entertained. Go to every class because the test has questions he spells out in the lectures.
He's kinda a weirdo, but really friendly and entertaining. He goes really quick and there is a lot to STUDY. Go to class, take notes, and pay attention and study hard.
I love Myron's class. It has been a full year since I took x 100, but looking back I learned a lot and enjoyed my time in class. Moe is a great professor. The tests were hard. The project was difficult, but to this day I still go back and reference the project that I created in that class as a template for other things that I do.
Myron could be the best teacher in the B school, he is easy if you read the material once or twice, B+ AND UP IS EASY. Go to class and you will get an A.
Clear concise and helpful. Take MO he's awesome. Aced 2/3 exams so far. Just show up and you should have no probs getting an A
one of my fav teachers.... knows his stuff... he is a great teacher and loves teaching..... tests not THAT easy but easy .... project is time consuming but again kinda easy..... easy b.... work for an a.... class is so fun too.... he throws candy and stuff
STUDY FOR THE FINAL! its much more difficult than the previous exams!
He's a great guy! Go to class, study the stuff from the "X100 PHD's" and you'll do good... Oh and work hard on the term project
Wow... NO Homework, but Term Project...
He's average, semi interesting but hard tests
Moe is the dude. He's a shining light in the pile of turds that comprise the rest of Kelley Business School's teaching core.
Moe is cool guy...knows what he is talking about but makes the class fun.
Moe is awesome, as long as you take his notes in class and study them the class isn't hard at all. The term project is lengthy but not ridiculously tough or anything, fair grading, good class, good teacher
Good first year business class.
Definately recommend taking Moe's class. We has a biased opinion on business but he is very enthusiastic in his teaching and loves IU sports. The class is very easy if you read over the chapters. Highly recommend since it can help you get into kelley.
Moe really knows what hes talking about. He's very enthusiastic, which makes the class more interesting. I learned a lot in this class.
MOE is one of the best teachers I have ever had, class is not mandatory but at least go for the last half hour for the quizes, tests are easy if you go to class the day before, DO your term project EARLY with lots of detail I quaruntee you get an A. Plus he gives out candy
Professor is fun, but I love the TA's in the 9:30 class
MOE is the man, plan and simple. He makes class fun and is a great teacher. Go to class, listen, and do your term project on time and you will get at least a B. MOE is a phenomenal guy
Very entertaining, doesn't take attendance just gives you extra credit sometimes if you go. Easy class overall.
Moe is an AMAZING teacher. Even if you are not interested in business this is a class that you should take! His approach to the business world is very revolutionary and exciting! He is very easy so long as you study hard at least the night before the test. Moe is my homeboy now!
One of the best classes to take at IU whether a business student or not. It is fairly easy if you go to lectures and the review sessions. He gives out extra credit sometimes for going to class and then for being a Level 5 fan which is pretty sick. This class is easy to get a B in if you just try a little but to get an A you have to put in the work.
do all extra credit assignments. they really help when it comes to your final grade. also try to get to know him on a personal level. the better he knows you, the more willing he is to help you out when you need it. really great guy. but, if the class isnt required for your major, its pretty useless.
Best first class ever! He actually offered extra credit for painting our faces during the football games! Glad to have started IU with his class
He is very outgoing and very enthusiastic about what he teaches. I do feel that he should teach from the book for certain things that are hard to study for the tests, but overall he is well-organized and really is someone you should have if you are starting business. Watch out for the term project and read what is on the syllabus.
Moe is a knucklehead! But he's a really great professor who cares about his students and their success. If you go class you shouldn't have a problem earning an A or high B. "Think like a CEO" and "Eat the Frog" are two of the many trademark quotes Moe has to offer.
He is one of my favorite proffesors so far!
He is a REALLY SMART business man and makes class fun and interesting. Be prepared to answer questions in class. Get candy. Take all the notes (including the review class), study for only 20 mins, and you'll get at least a B. You can apply what you learn in his class in real life and in many other classes. One of the best professors I've had at IU!
He isn't a good professor whatsoever, He is so full of himself and thinks too highly of himself. He needs knocked off his high horse. He doesn't follow anything with the book, and insist on bringing up how "great" he is and how "he's never been wrong about a business" blah blah. Arrogant, self-centered. Take this class with Rubenstein. Easy
One of my favorite teachers at IU. Hilarious and the tests aren't impossible. Make sure to turn in the project early for extra credit because its worth it, do the extra credit painting and write down the review. Best class I've taken here so far!
Moe is the man! He really is a great lecturer and makes the class interesting and fun. Pay attention in class and study before tests and you'll do fine. I recommend you visit him in office hours he really loves getting to know his students and will help you get better at his class.
This professor was helpful and made the class as simple as possible so that everyone was able to keep up. Overall, the class was enjoyable and fairly easy. I enjoyed it.
"when i was in corporate america" is a phrase you will hear the most in his class. He Barely refers to the textbook, and includes questions such as "what are moe's office hours" on Exams, which affect our future, so basically if you dont share his insight on the business world, but read every page of the book and master it,its absolutely no good.
Love this guy! He has a lot of real world experience with what he teaches, so it makes it more interesting knowing that he knows what he's talking about! He also has a very good sense of humor! It's fun and you learn a thing or two! TAKE THE CLASS.
Moe is absolutely amazing! He really engages the class during lectures and enjoys knowing his students so stop by and visit during office hours! As long as you know the basic concepts and study the vocab out of the book you will get an A on the test. By far my favorite professor at IU, you will regret not having him!!
You don't really need the textbook because he says everything in class... but he is amazing by far my favorite Professor here at IU.. he is energetic and fun...and he really does try to interact with his students... Take his class
Moe is the best professor i have ever had. Don't need to buy a book he gives it to you online. Turn the term project in early. No homework, random attendance checks exams are kind of hard. Go to the review session and you'll get at least a B. Take Moe if you get the chance he is awesome!
Moe teaches an easy class for the athletes to take. The class is very doable but it is annoying to hear him talk about how great of a business man he thinks he was. Seems to really care about his students though, liked him as a person but not as a teacher.
Great experience overall taking this class. I felt Moe really spoke from experience during class, and that the material being taught would be really applicable in the real world. Workload is very manageable, and it's a fun class as well which I'll miss taking.
One of the best men I have ever met in my life. Moe is a great teacher who genuinely cares and tries to get to know his students. Amazing human being who wants you to succeed.
awesome teacher, is truly passionate about what he is teaching, cares about his students, makes class enjoyable and interesting
This class was exciting, but almost to the point where you couldn't understand the lecture. His slides are basically all of his thoughts randomly thrown together. So much so, that even the TAs couldn't even answer any of the questions he asked. I would not recommend this class to anyone, unless you are VERY good at "reading between the lines"
Mo is a great professor. He speaks his mind in a respectful way and makes class interesting. As long as you study the fill-in-the-blank slides he gives you and memorize definitions from the book you should be just fine.
Great guy, knows what he's talking about. Overall enjoyed his lectures, he isn't one to bore you to death. Also pretty easy, I hardly studied for the tests in all honesty and ended up with a B.
This class was not near as easy as people made it seem. It actually was a pretty tough class that I didn't take too much away from, but Mo is a good guy.
Moe is an amazing professor i would definately reccomend this class to you guys. He looks for ways to help if you seek him out. He speaks his mind and is always real with you!! Definately take his class. It is not an easy A, but if you study for the exams and read the chapters its pretty easy.
Mo's a great dude but tests are some what difficult and the term project is total BS. Make sure you turn it in early because you get 20 bonus points but TAs grade them and I had Mo review mine days before turning it in and said that it looked really good and I got a 217/250 before the bonus! Luckily the bonus brought it up but the TAs are useless.
DO NOT TAKE HIS D271
Moe is a great guy. Extremely helpful and wants to see everyone do well. There are several big "themes" throughout the course that repeat themselves exams and if you get it, then it's not difficult. I found the class to be an easy A, but everyone is different.
I don't know why he has such great ratings! He might seem fun and cool at first, but then he tries to hard to be liked by us. His lectures are ridiculously boring, the only thing that actually makes sense is the review class before the test. But otherwise, his presentations are really disconnected and hard to follow.
He is the reason I am graduating a Kelley major this Spring.
As the other review said, do not take his D271. He's delusional and it seems like he uses a random # generator to determine how many points you get on an assignment. It's a joke.
do NOT take his D271 class. He provides the grading rubrics AFTER you submit your assignments and then does not give reasoning for taking off a significant amount of points. Everything he teaches can be condensed down into 1-2 classes. Wasted a lot of time listening to his fluff.
He is a kind man and I wish I had met him outside of the class room because he does not know how to teach. He waisted my time by going through the exact same lecture 10 times throughout the course of the eight weeks. Also he has no clear planning or criteria for grading.
I wasn't very interested in the class itself. Only took it because it was required. Gives extra credit for participating beyond the average. Less work than the other d271 class. Biggest complaint is grading on the project which is worth 50% of your grade. If Moe wasn't such a terrible grader, I would take him again.
Moe overall is a good professor and knows what he is talking about. His tests are difficult and his lectures wont help you with tests at all. Read through the e-text before exams. The extra credit on the term project saved a lot of students grades.
An man who does not know what Burundi is should not be able to teach international business. Slides were impossible to read because of cluttered backgrounds (maps, navy seals, etc.), and when you could read them, they were nonsense. Gave no feedback until very end of semester when he gave half the class bad grades. TLDR - I learned nothing.
I love Mr. Kanning! What a good guy, he was always eager to teach students every morning & was very helpful during office hours. He always had a positive attitude & knew how to explain complicated concepts by putting them into simpler terms. He also was inspiration when it came to motivation and becoming a leader. He had a straight focus in class!
Most painful lectures I have ever sat through. Literally says the word "fundamentally" in every sentence and probably a minimum of 20 times a class period. Does not answer questions clearly. Does not give directions clearly. Makes the worstmost boring PowerPoints I have ever seen.
You never know what's going on in the guy's head! So when he goes to grade your projects and assignments it's a complete guessing game because you never really know what he wants or expects
I can sum him up in one sentence. Awesome person to network with but shouldn't be teaching. He has some great insight but the seemingly randomness of his grading and the lack of any clear set instructions outweigh that ten to one. He will claim he doesn't have instructions because you won't in the business world so prepare for random grades.
(I am willing to make 3-4 parts of him because its worth it!) This is part 1 Moe is such a good professor. He always encourage his student to participate by giving chocolates. Overall, this class is not bad at all. Put effort and time to it and you'll be fine! He provides the textbook online, no need to worry about it
(Part 2) Always make an appointment to see him as he will provide you a study that is VERY VERY helpful and most of them are in the test (You only get this if you see him, you'll never get it in class). He also provides slides that need to be filled in so you SHOULD come to class. There are exam review session right b4 exam which is VERY HELPFUL!
(Part 3) There is also a review sheet for each exam 1 until 4 for the vocabulary. DO THEM!! There is also extra credit for the term project so you do not need to worry a lot. I ended up getting 248250 because of the extra credit!!! Also, bonus points for painting your face. Thank God, ended this class with an A+ :D DEFINITELY RECOMMEND FOR X100!
I took X100 when I was undecided and it is the reason I'm minoring in business. Kanning was enthusiastic and I enjoyed his lectures. Would recommend him to anyone. Do the readings and go to office hours if you need help. He helped me out when I slipped up on one exam.
Do not take his D271 class... he's a puffy guy, not sure if I can trust what he teaches - credibility and reliability is missing.
Moe is a great guy. He is willing to help you as long as you are willing to do the work. Go into his office hours and listen during the power points and you will be fine! There are 4 tests and 1 project, he is really big into school spirit and extra credit!
he is really good; he regards student as customers if you really want to study, he will try his best to help you. His lecture is interesting engaging students to participate with some bonuses
Great instructor and very helpful. He is also very resourceful and is willing to do whatever it takes for the students to succeed. He does a fantastic job of explaining the material and is just an overall amazing professor. I would highly recommend him to everyone. Paint for Extra Credit.
easiest class i ever took. all the assignments were extremely easy the guys who got bad grade in his class are basically dumbasses. he gives the easiest assignment to make brief swot and pest. He won't require you to make full report, just a basic analysis.
Hate this guy, talks alot. Makes stuff up. annoying. Not clear in what he wants from the assignments. Avoid his D271 class. He should not come to IU to teach. DO NOT TAKE
Mo Kanning is the worst teacher I've ever had. Extremely unclear on grading criteria and vague in lectures. I've legitimately learned nothing in this course, other than the fact that the world will be vastly different in the year 2020. He loves to talk about this even though what he says makes very little sense. Also loves to brag
Moe is a great guy, but his lectures don't really make sense. He jumps from one topic to the next and says "fundamentally" an unnecessary amount of times. Reading the chapter before each class really helped me understand each lecture better. The most frustrating thing was he tested you over his own opinions. If you don't agree with him, good luck.
Moe is a great professor. He gives everyone a great opportunity to do well by offering extra credit and clearly defining what will be on exams. If you take an hour or two to study for an exam, and show up to lecture and pay attention, you will do well.
Moe was a great guy. He gives enjoyable lectures and has some good stories however do not take this class. His criteria makes no sense, none of his notes are in complete sentences, and with every assignment you are left guessing that you did it well enough for his standards. Do yourself a favor and take a different D271 class
Moe is a really good lecturer. His class can be really interesting and he brings in some cool guest speakers at the end of the year. The only problem is that his class is really big and it can be impersonal at times. Nothing Moe can really do about that, but he still tries to keep students engaged.
Moe's a dope dude. He loves IU and business. The class is honestly not hard. He takes attendance 4 times a semester but if you miss class you won't do good on the tests. He won't put answers to the lecture notes online so you've gotta go to class. Tests are straight from the book and lecture. He gives extra credit. Final wasn't hard got a 100%.
He is one of the worst professors I have ever had at IU. Half of his assignments do not come with rubrics. It is literally a guessing game with him when it comes to grading. He teaches the class to what he thinks should be taught, and he enjoys bragging about his career. Absolutely avoid his classes.
As a freshman Kelley courses are tough and mostly weed out courses but Moe is the best professor Ive had. He cares about IU and cares about his students. I highly highly recommended this class if youre doing ANYTHING in business.
Moe is my least favorite professor I've ever had. All of the assignments of this class are completely busy work. I have learned nothing from this class. He doesn't give a rubric for any assignments so you have to go to class to know what to do. Constantly brags about the same things over and over. I could quote things you'll hear but I have no room
didnt learn a thing
