It's a hard class, but she is an awesome teacher who really cares.
she makes difficult topics even more difficult...but she's an ok teacher
Very ebthusiastic and tries to make a hard subject easier to grasp
She likes to have fun with lectures
She asks the class too many questions, tests are straightforward, though.
the class itself is hard but shes a good teacher
her class is difficult, but she cares about her students and wants them to learn
look it up in a medical journal this lady does not know what she is talking abou
No Comments
nice and all, but she has no idea what she is talking about
very difficult material, but review sessions make an A possible
great teacher, but 2 faced, tests easy, hard material, but she teaches it well
this is a great class. you have to take alot of notes but she has a note packet that goes with the class so that makes it easier for taking notes!! your notes and the pictures in the book is all you need to pass this class!!
She is a good teacher and wants to help all she can. Just know her note packet perfectly and you will do well on the tests. Don't skip over any details. Her final is hard, but she gives extra credit opportunities.
1274 HARDER THEN 1273..GOOD TEACHER AND OPPURTUNITIES TO MAKE AN A OR B BECAUSE OF EXTRA CREDIT.
One of the best teachers i have ever had. Always willing to help her students!
TERRIBLE

You think her class is going to be a piece of cake but sometimes it's hard to understand her drawings and diagrams. Having the book is also very helpful. Her tests are tricky, so be careful!
OMG! Typical biology professor. This was "fill-in-the-blanks" class. She read nearly word-for-word from her note packet during lecture. And she keeps screwing up the chemistry. BLOOD WON'T BOIL AT 100 DEGREES FARENHEIGHT, WOMAN! Very, Very
Man, it's not easy, but she's a great teacher, always willing to help if you are motivated and willing to learn. You must go to class, the book is a very useful tool. Wonderful teacher, very nice, forgiving. Good class.
Makes note-taking very easy, helpful. Good examples and teaching style.
She is great! Really helpful and wants everyone to pass. Best teacher i have ever had
Goes the extra mile to help students. Great examples and teaching style. Nice lady.
Great professor!! fill in the blanks are very helpful and she has creative ways to keep you focus... SHE REALLY CARES ABOUT YOU.. many extra credit oppportunities(15pts)and drops lowest test grade!
She's definitely the best teacher a student can ask for!
SHE IS A WONDERFUL PROFESSOR AND VERY HELPFUL! THERE ARE ALOT OF PROFESSORS THAT NEED TO TAKE SOME HINTS FROM HER!
These classes are CAKE! She spoon feeds all of her students and offers 16 points extra credit to add to a test grade, not to mention that she drops a test! Easiest biology class at UNCC
Makes note taking easy. Don't skip classes or it will be easy to get lost. Makes it easy to get a B and not difficult to get an A if you study.
Definatley my favorite biology teacher ever, and I've taken alot!
excellent teacher, class went by quickly, don't let the fact the she drops the lowest test grade fool you, the final is comprehensive so you have to know it anyway. that is why i have a "B" and not an "A"
Great class! She's really caring and makes the material easy to fathom. Notes are simple, yes it's a lot of material but she makes it easy! Attend all the lectures, study the notes, and you'll make an A. Great professor!
great professor..just make sure you go to every lecture. It's a lot of material, but all the tests are on the notes! There is a lot of extracredit too!
Awesome professor. Very clear, makes sure everyone understands material. Very helpful. Very sweet, extra credit, exams right from study guide. I am just a dance major, and I did great. Must attend every lecture, don't really need book.
Great teacher. she really cares about the students. gives extra credit and drops the lowest test grade. go to SI sessions and write the paper for extra credit. information overload but if u study overtime and not all at once u'll come out with atleast a B
Not a nurse, so I hated the material. She's cool though. Helpful and clear. Class isn't to hard, just a lot of memorization.
helps prepare you for nursing school
She is one of the best professors I have ever had. If you study the notes that she provides in detail, you will do well on the exams. She cares about her students and this shows through her teaching methods.
Yea okay so she is nice blah blah - I did not like her "fill in blanks" style of teaching. If you learn best by taking notes then too bad. She doesnt explain anything - instead makes students ask questions. I love biology but hated this course a
amazing teacher! you can tell that she really cares about her students and enjoys what she's teaching and the subject. loves to answer questions and encourages we ask. i loved anat/phys and would love to take another class she teaches!
SHe is the BEST intructor I ever Had at UNC-Charlotte. I loved her teaching method. very easygoing and very helpfull. I strongly suggest you to take classes with her. good luck
she is great, one of uncc best professors.Loving and caring, a good mum.She motivated me to study and through that I got A in her class although I almost failed in the first test.
Wow!! Anatomy is not easy, but the way she teaches it is great! She is always willing to help and encourages you to ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS!! hehe! She's very clear and stops what she is teaching to make sure everyone understands before moving on. She cares about her students.. def. take her for bio!
GREAT PROFESSOR, Love her class, not easy but if you are there easy to undestand
LOVE HER! She is wonderful and very clear
nice professor but doesn't have a very effective style of teaching. you pretty much just have to memorize your fill in the blank notes, and all she does in class is read word for word those notes.
Superb! Caring, understanding, and willing to help. Not boring, not too hard. Best prof. yet!!
She is the Best teacher I ever had.
The best professor I've had at UNCC. She really cares about her students. She does great to make an extremly difficult topic easy to understand. If you study and come to class you should do well. If you are having trouble ask questions, she is more than happy to assist you!
There's a lot of material to learn in this class, but she tries to make it as painless as possible. Her concern for her students and her willingness to help are very refreshing.
Very good teacher, always willing to help. Material is hard, but she guides you through and gives you study tips. Just learn her study guide and you will do fine. If possible take in the summer, lots to cram in, but you will do better!!! GO TO SI and do alll the EXTRA CREDIT, will help your grade!!
She's definitely a great teacher who really cares about her students. UNCC should hire more professors like her. You can even understand her (unlike most of them these days)!
def one of the best teachers I've ever had!! love her class! uncc should hire more professors like her! if you need anatomy, she's the best teacher for it
Wonderful teacher! Very knowledgable on the subject and very determined for you to learn it. Very helpful teacher and works with you so you can do the best of you ability.
Very very very very easy, DONT BUY THE BOOK, and really, all you have to do is study your notes. There is 15 points worth of extra credit, AND she drops your lowest test grade and replaces it with the final, TAKE HER!!! She is also very helpful, and encourages you to ask lots of questions. She will go very things 20 times if you need her to!!
ok yeah, she's nice. she can be a real b**** though. she requires you to know WAY too much for the practical and the final exam is over everything you learn over the semester. and i mean everything. and let's hope you don't have other exams b/c she thinks this is the only one that you have.
Mrs. Bryska is a great professor. I'm not sure what people expected, it's hard material, but she does a great job at breaking it down and making it as easy as possible. There is a lot of material, but you get what you put in. If you study you will do fine, if not, then you won't. She is a very good professor, I would recommend her any day!
great teacher and very clear of what will be on the test.. not an easy class, but if u go to class and study, u can pull off an a.. awesome woman
I find her to be an awful teacher. Her style of teaching is terrible, lectures are unclear and frankly simple filling in of the blanks in a pathetic "study guide" just doesn't cut it. The amount of material to be covered is large, and she does nothing to make it easier on the students. I give her two big thumbs DOWN!!!
I would not recommend anyone of taking Anatomy with her, believe me there are easier and better professors out there. Also it is sad that UNCC has only one, terrible professor that teaches Anatomy to 400 or more students. That is just sad, if you don't like her way of teaching, you unfortunately do not have a choice of another professor at UNCC :(
She is very kind and helpful to her traditional students. If you are an older nontraditional student don't expect any help from her. She will not even be polite to you. There is nothing you can do to get on her good side. The way she teaches the class does not appeal to me, but it works for alot of people. It was stil an easy A.
She is very kind and helpful. She actually encourages students to ask questions. If you don't do well in her class it is because you are lazy and do not put forth the effort.

The class material itself is challenging of course, but she did a great job at explaining this clearly and provide good example to help you understand. Sure, some ppl think the fill in the blank study guide not very helpful, but it kept me awake. Test 50 multiple choice. Overall, she is very organized and a great professor.
Ms. Bryska is an excellent professor. She truly cares about her students.
Those people who gave low ratings are crazy. She is great and she loves to teach. The class is hard but she is the best teacher in the Biology Department
Very structured and organized. The material ranges in difficulty with topics. She is personable and an outstanding teacher. Expects you to do your work and be prepared but is very approachable when you have questions.
She's an incredible teacher who instills her love of the subject in her students!!! Be ready to spend time studying and working hard.
Attendance is not mandatory, but going to class will almost guarantee you an A.
This professor is GREAT!!! She makes the material easier that it needs to be. She gives you fill in the blank notes. I had her for both 1273 and 1274 and got an A in both. She is extremely helpful and loves her students. She also loves the subject so much that she makes you love it too.
she helped me get into her anatomy class, and helped me with other matters that were not related to her class as well. I made an A without textbook and actually enjoyed learning the material. I think she is a very good professor!!!
she helped me get into her anatomy class, and helped me with other matters that were not related to her class as well. I made an A without textbook and actually enjoyed learning the material. I think she is a very good professor!!!
The best on campus. Really enjoyed her class. There is a lot of material with A&P 1273 and 1274; she has found a way to make it easy to learn and enjoyable. Highly recommended to pre-health students
She is extremely helpful and excited to teach you about Human Anatomy. The material is difficult, it is not mandatory to attend class but is highly recommended. As long as you pay attention and go to class you should do fine!!!
She seem genuinely concerned with her students. She is a good teacher but the course material is challenging. I would recomend her.
Ms. Bryska is THE BEST professor at UNCC. Hand's down. I've been in A LOT of science courses, and although the material of Anat. & Phys. is not easy, she makes it SO interesting! I cannot wait to have her next semester for BIOL 1274. Amazingly helpful and truly cares about her students. Very smart lady!
She is an intelligent and helpful professor. The material in general is difficult but you can succeed by coming to class (not manditory) and paying attention!! SI sessions are VERY helpful and reccommended. All tests are in-depth and cover everything but the comprehensive final is more general. Not an EASY A but is a great class.
There is not ONE bad thing to say about Mrs. Bryska! I said it last semester and I'll say it again: She is THE BEST professor at UNCC by far! She puts 200% into teaching her classes and you can tell she truly loves it. The class is not easy, but she makes it so FUN and Interesting! She's such a good professors, her classes close FAST so take her!!
Mrs.Bryska is a very sweet lady, and I can tell that she really cares for her students. With that being said, I did not do well in her class. I will admit that I did not work as hard as a could have, so a note of advice: STUDY, GO 2 SI, and STUDY!! Don't half step on studying because believe me it will come back to bite you in the you- know- what!
Bryska loves what she teaches and is enthusiastic about Anatomy. Tries to make class fun, but some material is hard to comprehend. Attendance not manditory, but neccessary for good grades. Do the extra credit paper and attend SI's. Achieving an A is easy if you study the notes and know ALL course pk material. Final is more general than her tests!
Mrs. Bryska is such a nice lady! However, her class is very difficult. The class's material was changed starting in Fall 2010 and it is now much harder. There is no extra credit anymore and the tests are even more difficult. To do well, you have to go to SI sessions, study 50 hours for each test, and go to class everyday. If you don't, you'll fail.
Like it was mentioned, course was completely restructured for the fall class. No extra credit. Tests are cumulative, but final is. Online quizzes on Moodle. Little use of textbook after 1st test. Does not drop tests anymore. Very nice and knowledgeable. Attendance is not mandatory. Uses coursepack that is very useful for tests unlike Moore
FINALLY a professor that isn't consumed in their OWN studies! phD in progress and she still cares about her students and wants to see you do well! It's a hard course, but GO TO CLASS, STUDY, ask questions and you'll do fine. By far the best prof I've had at UNCC! :)
BEST PROFESSOR AT UNCC. take bryska if at all possible, she has a higher test rating than the other professor and she loves her subject. She always throws in random fun facts to keep us interested and is great at explaining complex anatomy and physiology concepts. If you are willing to study enough, an A should be obtainable. My favorite prof
she is good professor, she is very clear.
Great professor! Loves the subject, loves teaching it and loves her students. Keeps the students' attention during 2 1/2-hour summer lectures by employing multiple teaching methods and giving breaks. Course pack makes material easy to understand without needing to read the textbook thoroughly. I highly recommend Bryska!
My favorite prof. Class is really fun. Don't even realize we learn so much because we have a lot of fun with discussions.
Ms. Bryska is the best teacher at UNCC. She explains things in an entertaining manner. 3 hrs. go by so fast. Wish she was teaching lecture
ppt notes, fair tests, explains very clearly, nice teacher, decent amount of work
Class consisted of 20 minute PowerPoint lectures followed by a discussion to the end of class based on an article. Homework - periodic media summaries - was fairly easy to complete. Poster presentation at the end was fun and not stressful. Bryska is a very nice, knowledgeable woman who loves her job!
Best professor at UNCC. I have had her A&P class last year. Love the way she motivates everyone to learn. This was a new course. Very well done. Really enjoyed it!!!!
Definitely one of the best profs at UNCC! She lectured for half the class then facilitated group discussion afterward. Nothing stressful, easy opinion type conversation. Bryska was very interested in her students and worked hard to help us. Class was fun and I learned a lot. With very little effort an A is possible.
Ms. Bryska is the best prof. ay UNCC. She makes class so interesting that 3 hrs. flew by. She also gives helpful techniques for studying. Just loved her!!!!!!!!
She's an amazing teacher! Very straight forward will her lessons. She gives great real life examples that really help understanding. The tests are difficult and require studying, although it is mostly memorization. With moderate effort an A is obtainable.
Awesome prof. Just love her way of teaching. Really fortunate to get into her class.
Truly inspiring prof. She should give teaching lessons to other professors. Actually able to learn difficult material due to her lively, inspiring lectures.
AMAZING PROFESSOR!!! Very fun and interesting. She cares about her students and always wants to help you understand. Tests are very fair and come directly from the notes. She puts notes up online for use to print out and bring to class, it's like a fill in the blank note guide. Not too hard of a class to get an A, just study before the tests.
Amazing. Seriously, one of the best professors at UNCC. When students don't understand a concept she will draw it out on the board. REALLY cares about our success and does SUCH a good job teaching. I knew the material so well that I pulled an A on the comprehensive final w/o studying. You both learn and UNDERSTAND A&P after her class! I'll miss it.
Bryska is wonderful. She loves teaching, her PowerPoints are easy to follow, print out the notes and fill in the blanks. Be prepared to put time in after class for studying, her tests are a bit difficult, she won't move on to the next thing until everybody understands something. 3 tests,11 online quizzes, and a final. Loved the Class.
Best professor at UNC Charlotte. She takes time out to make sure her students understand the material/willing to answer questions. To study for her exams, make sure to study her OUTLINES/notes as many times as possible. Towards the end of the semester, the textbook is not used much. Very possible to get an A (with moderate effort).
Bryska really enjoys teaching but she is a horrible professor. Coming from a student with a 4.0...I struggled in her class. She makes things way more complicated than necessary. Be prepared to study hard and study a lot.
She has a passion for teaching. I took this class over the summer and she explains, in detail, what we are learning. She posts notes online and her exam questions come straight from her notes.
Awesome teacher. She really takes time to make sure students understand the material. The material in the class isn't easy but Mrs. Bryska will do her best to help you understand it. I plan on taking her next semester for Anatomy 2.
She is wonderful. She makes sure you understand what is going on. She often does multiple examples of problems in class so that people with different learning styles will prosper.
Professor Bryska is a great professor. She really knows the material and wants her students to succeed. You need to go to class to get the notes and then study them. Her tests are not extremely difficult if you study. Put in the effort and you can make an A.
Ms. Bryska is a good professor. I enjoyed her class and look forward to taking her again in spring. Her tests aren't terrible but A's aren't easy to come by. You have to really know the material
Bryska, is the best Anatomy and Physiology professor at UNCC, the material is difficult but she is very helpful in teaching it. Wish she taught upper level classes, she has made me love Anatomy. You have 3 tests, 60 questions each, they are a bit difficult, so study, study, study, final exam is cumulative, 100 questions. Go to class, it will help
Her class is easy if you study and do not over complicate the concepts- make sure you only use her notes for the test it will definitely help you on your exams. Again only study the notes- the tests are tough but very reasonable as long as you do the work. I had to work for that "A", but overall I would take her for every Biology course at UNCC.
Ms. Bryska is the best professor I have ever encountered. Her lectures are exciting and helpful. Time flies in her class. She teaches us to think critically rather than simply memorizing a bunch of facts. She is very approachable and inspirational. Really fortunate to have learned from her.
You have to know the material because she tests in a conceptual way, but her teaching method really helps make the class easier. The flow charts she always recommends really do help. Not necessarily an "easy A" but very doable. Plus, she is a very sweet lady who cares about her students.
