Former high school teacher, still teaches like one. Lectures are interesting but I'm not doing too well in her class, and I'm a straight A student! You have to study A LOT to get a good grade on the tests, and I guess I don't have time for it this semester. She's hella cute and nice but this class is just over my head.

she is a very helpful teacher willing to help students. test not that easy but if you study, do the labs and go to class u should be ok. she is willing to help so don't give up. great notes but the 1st test is the hardest so STUDY. no hw except study guides & some take home articles very interesting & easy.

Fabulous prof! Nice, approachable and helpful. I had no interest in biology, but she made it interesting and related it to real life. Bases her tests almost solely on her lectures so attendance is important, but her lectures aren't boring. You don't really have to buy the book. You have to study, but it's worth it. Would definitely take her again.

This instructor used to teach high school and she brings with her that teaching style which is helpful in this subject because this keeps the lectures interesting even when the subject is boring. She is a hot teacher too which doesn't hurt for us guys who can get bored pretty fast.

Freeman is a great teacher, her lectures are intersting and her style keeps your attention, there are only a few assignments and they are easy, weekly test on the lab stuff those can be a little difficult, over all I really did enjoy this class, take her if you can.

Professor Freeman is great. I am a political science student who only took her class to fulfill the AA requirements. She is very clear in her lectures, gives study guides for every test, and is really fun. I loved her class and would definitely recommend her.

She's a great teacher. It's a hard class, very much time consuming but if you put in the effort, you will pass. The labs are fun to do. She puts out study guide every week and the tests are based on those, no book needed.

This professor, Nancy Freeman is one of the best professors. Just to say that every time I see her, she always has a different look. Also to note, sometimes she tends to forget names, but it's not a big deal. I'm ok at reminding her my name every time she forgets. I definitely recommend her!

Very very easy teacher, she post up study guides from each weeks lectures. Everything on the study guide is on the test. Labs are pretty easy, just make sure you do all the article analysis and study the study guides.

Wow! This is the best professor for Biology ever! She is very passionate of what she teaches and helps you get a better understanding of the materials if you don't understand. She'll maintain being a good professor as long as she keeps up her good work!

Very clear and effective teacher. She has taught every grade level, so she is extremely proficient in breaking down the complexity of Bio into understandible terms. Makes it easier for those who tend to struggle in the subject of science, such as myself. Highly recommend.

VERY helpful study guides. About 6 tests and 8 quizes. Drops the lowest score for each. Makes Biology interesting, very clear, very willing to help. Very fair, no surprises on tests or quizzes. Almost nobody dropped the class. She says the Bio book is optional, but lab book is mandatory. I took notes on lecture and never used the book. GREAT TEACHE

Shes hot!Besides that, she seems mean at first because the class is overenrolled. I guess too many ppl read this site.If you are not on the waitlist, she wont let u in. Her grading method is very fair.I liked the class, and the labs were fun. A lot of busy work though. You should expect 4 article reviews, 6 quizzes, 7 tests. It wasnt easy,nor hard.

I was really scared to take biology because I heard it was really hard...but she made it so easy. she gives you study guides from every test and just study from your notes which will help you a lot w the tests. This class was pretty easy. I went the entire semester without even opening the book. Just take notes, it's pretty much straight forward. Little homework, drops lowest score. Make sure you become friends with the people around you, they will be your lab group for the entire semester, makes the class more fun.

Whoever says she isnt anything but wonderful is CRAZY! This teacher is the bomb! She makes class interesting and fun. Lectures are so well prepared and all her notes are from slides and easy to take. She is super friendly and she does grade on the curve. She gives almost no homework and I never ever bought the textbook (only lab manual). Take her!

Prof Freeman was an AWESOME professor! she doesnt talk down to her students, she's very helpful. her tests are passable if you do the study guide. her labs were fun. Took her for Biology 10 honors. I LOVED this class!! Her lectures are crystal clear and she explains things so well. No surprises on the tests. Just do the study guide and you'll do fine. she's awesome. I took her Honor Transfer class so we had a little more extra work but it was still relatively easy. If you do well on the first three exams, you do not need to take her final, which is great because you get to focus on your other classes! (:

Great Teacher. 1st test is hard. May give xtra cred. 2 Exp. Design Labs. 5 test, drops 1 w/ the lowest score. Need @ least 640 points to get a solid B. Anything below that is a C. Try 2 do well on the 1st 4 exams. Use notes, study guide is useless.

EXCELLENT! Best professor at El Camino! Her lectures are so interesting. She always tells us WHY the information is important. She also talks about nutrition and is SO inspiring, helping us eat better. She encourages questions and LOVES her students and job. Always has a smile on her face! I seriously cried when the class was over.

took her for my last semester at ECC which was about a year ago. took bio10 to for IGETC . Shes not the easiest teacher, but A is very reachable. I hated science from middle school til now -- was my first and last life science class at elco, but it was better than i expected. easy B if you put decent effort, try hard for an A.

Very easy class alot of extra credit opportunities. Test require you to apply concepts but ar relatively easy if you study and pay attentions if you are going to take anyone for biology I would recommend this teacher, she is fun, easy, and also helps you understand the material. She is challenging but wonderful. Don't expect a free ride in her class, but if you study hard you will do well. She is extremely approachable and helpful and her classes are fun.

Professor Freeman is excellent. Every class period, she is prepared so you should be as well. The material is not too difficult, but the first exam WILL be the most challenging so study hard for that one! I finished out with an A. If you do good the whole semester and are satisfied with your grade, you don't have to take the final.

Professor Freeman is extremely passionate about biology and is exceptional at explaining the concepts. Her lecture tests are easy (do good on first four and you don't have to take the final) and her lab tests are straight from the information in the lab book. I didn't care for biology until this class and now I find it fascinating.

Freeman is a PROFESSIONAL. She knows what she's doing and she will teach you. Book not needed in my opinion. Most of the class are lectures and labs so it is CRITICAL to do the study guide since the test will be whatever's on there. First of all she gives a ton of extra credit, which helped me get an A in the class. Her lectures are long but she does a good job at keeping your attention. Her homework is easy and straight forward.

Freeman was an amazing professor. Took her Bio 10 Honors over summer, so the pace was fast but very doable because of her impeccable lectures. She gives 4 Lecture exams based on the lecture notes, drops the lowest one, 3 Lab exams which are all based on the lab book, and some other assignments. Tests are all multiple choice.

Prof Freeman is absolutely great! I took her honors class over the summer and it was incredibly easy. I've taken chem classes and have a background in bio so I just breezed through it, but even those who don't have any experience with bio should have a great time with the easy labs, fun lectures, and wonderful professor! She is a great teacher! I took this class during the summer so it was very fast pace. Her class is not particularly easy, so basically you need to earn your grade. She is very good at giving assignments and tests back so you always know what your current grade is. You don't necessarily need the textbook, but you definitely need the lab book.

Honestly hated Biology before this class. There is so much to cover in this class, but she is such a good professor. Gives extra credit, homework is just to read articles, labs could be more exciting but they're easy, exams require studying, final only helps you. She's great and shows passion.

Professor Freeman is amazing. I wish I could take her again. To be able to get A in the lab and lecture exams you have to know the material completely. the prof. is very helpful & patient she's easy to approach. it was a lot of work and the labs were usually in groups of 4. study for your exams don't leave it last minute it is a lot of material!

Professor Freeman is honestly so chill and understanding, personally I'm not much of a science person but this class literally makes you interested in bio, you begin to retain information like second nature because she is straight to the point and makes sure to set you up to pass. That being said, do the quizzes and make sure to study.

Caring teacher! Her tests are not too hard just read the powerpoint multiple times and pay attention to lectures. For lab exams you must participate in lab so dont be skipping class. There are some things in the lab that she talks about that will be on the test so pay attention.

I took Professor Freeman's hybrid class during the spring. She has to be not only the best bio professor but easily one of the best professors at El Camino. Her PowerPoint slides help you to a point where you do not need to buy the textbook. Exams are straightforward as it gets and she provides lots of EC throughout the course. Take her!!!

Be sure to take notes during her class, her powerpoints cover her exams and make sure you do the work for the study guides, ASK! if you don't understand.
