Easy class, I took the 3 weekend course and it was very easy. A lot of notes and 2 exams and 2 article reviews.He made the class interesting by telling you exactly what you needed to know. Definitely recommend.

He is a FANTASTIC teacher his class was always FUN! His stories were interesting and funny! He was never boring and had the attention and participation of the class. He never had an empty class. Highly recommend! Everything you need to know he tells you during the lecture and at test time he gives a study guide and everything is in your notes!

Nick is a wonderful teacher that gives great examples and really wants his students to do well in the class. Tests are based off the notes (pretty easy, the lowest grade I got was a 94) and the papers you write (only 4) are pretty easy too. Make sure you attend class or you will miss a lot of important info. Great guy, really funny, awesome class.

This was seriously the easiest college class I have taken. I took the online section and literally the questions on the quizzes came straight from the textbook. Mr. Shizas is a good teacher. I took Child Psychology and I learned a lot. I didn't find this to be an easy A - I had to study to do well. So long as you attend class, take good notes, read the chapters and follow the study guide, you should have no problem. I guess I can say that for any class. I have taken three of Professor Shizas Psy. courses on line for my major and they are very interesting and easy. As long as you read the chapters and look over the study guides that are given before every test you will receive a A for it. The assignments are not hard in the classes either because him makes them fun and interesting for you.

This teacher's online class is not an easy one if you don't have time. He wouldn't let me work on assignments or quizzes past the due date because he said I didn't have documentation of why I missed. You also have to complete 2 or 3 assignments every week and timed quizzes too. Dont take him if you want an easy A. same as a regular class

Idk what the person below me is talking about. This was my 1st online class and yes there is work and you do have to do it by the due date (like any class). You have to read the book but all the quizzes are done online and you get 2 days to do it.If you read and do the work you should be able to get an A or B. I highly recommend him!!

Just finished this summer class online. Fast paced. Not easy but if you keep up with the assignments you will be fine. You have deadlines to meet. Was overwhelmed at first since I just returned back to school after 30 yrs, but Nick is avaiable anytime for help. He's awesome in any psych class! All online including quizzes/tests. I took his online class for both 101 and 211. His 211 class there is alot of work so if you don't have the time I don't recommend his online class. He is a great teacher though! There shouldn't be any reason you can't get an A or at least a B. Overall, I recommend taking him, he is an EXCELLENT teacher! His human sexuality class is worth taking!

I took the online class and it was an amazing learning experience because I actually learned something instead of taking some blow-off online course. The weekly homework helps prepare you for quizzes. There is work, but this is college and he helped prepare me for a 4-year university. He answers emails fast too. I don't regret taking him online

UGH! I heard such good things about him, and I really wanted to take this course, but DO NOT take it online! So many reviews that he's "so easy" and "hardly any work" DO NOT apply to the online course! HW due every Thurs and Sun, quizzes every Monday, plus papers and the final. NEVER AGAIN.

You will be doing lots of homework assignments if you take him online like I did. That's kinda expected since you don't have to attend lectures. You will be using the book a lot too. The assignments are not hard and some are pretty interesting. Easy A if you log on and keep up with due dates and quizzes each week.

The online class was very clear and you knew what you were expected to do to get a good grade. Prof Shizas was one of the best teachers that I have ever taken at Moraine. I needed this class for my major, however it was a very fun class. I definitely learned a lot in this class, the material was explained really good by the prof. He also makes sure every student knows how to write an APA formatted paper if you go on to a higher university.

Pofessor Shizas cares about his classes and his students. I had to work for my grade by reading, taking notes and studying for the 4 exams. He provides a study guide for every test, but it's not open book and he creates different versions so we can't look at each other's tests during exams. The papers in his class helped me be a better writer

I took PSY 101 in the Summer, and it was really easy; you get graded on 2 papers , a few tests, and a presentation on a psychological myth. In PSY 211, there's 3 papers, a group skit, and also a few tests, which are a little harder. Definitely a must-take professor overall!

It's hard to get anything below a B unless you're just a really bad, rude student. I took his 3-week summer course, and he was very understanding and fair. Makes his lectures interesting by connecting things to personal anecdotes. There's a little bit of leeway with the extra credit he offers. There's a 2 hr loan period for the book at the library.

A wonderful professor, I would recommend taking him. I'm currently in his Monday, 1-3:45 class, and he makes it really enjoyable. I love his humor, and he really really cares and wants you to do well. The study guides aren't hard at all, and they are really similar to the tests. If you study and prepare, you will do very well!

I took his 3 week weekend class at the beg. of the semester. He's the best professor I've had. He gives amazing lectures and tells great stories that relate to the material by using real life examples to help you understand what he's teaching. If you do end up taking the fast-paced weekend class be prepared to work hard & study for the weekly exams

Professor Shizas is by far one of the best instructors at Moraine Valley. Very passionate about psychology and even more so about teaching it. You need to study, read the chapters, and take good notes to do well on the tests but Shizas is always looking out for everyone. He'll make you laugh and learn. TAKE HIM! You won't regret it.

I absolutely loved him and his class! You'd think taking human sexuality would be awkward but in his class it honestly isn't. He just makes awkward things funny but you still learn a lot from his class. He's so sweet and adorable. Could not recommend him enough!

Great online class! Total of 2 papers due the last two weeks, weekly homework, weekly quizzes, no tests, only a final. Learned a lot in his class. Great professor and gives very good feedback and has a nice way with his comments! Definitely take him online if youre thinking about it!

Prof shizas gives excellent feedback to all assignments! He really cares for his students and will help any way he can. I took online and there are quizzes every Monday but theyre pretty straight forward. Just remember to do them. Theres no midterm. One final, two papers. Thats it. Hes awesome! And you actually learn from his class!

He really cares about your grade and wants you to succeed. He even gives you two points extra on exams just because. I would definitely take his class again.

Mr. Shizas is definitely my favorite professor at MVCC so far. He made class so interesting and his stories made the class laugh everyday. His study guides are so helpful. If you fill them in and review a couple times youll get As on the exams.

Psych 101 is a generally easy class to pass but professor shizas somehow makes it even easier. Do your assignments (easy), do the discussion boards and follow rules, and write 2 papers and you should most definitely pass with an A. There are no tests just quizzes and a final. Prof Shizas really cares about his students and helps in any way he can.

Mr. Shizas was one of the best teachers I ever had. He brought us donuts!! The weekend class was great! I learned so much and it's actually interesting. The way he presents his lectures is astonishing. The A did take some work but not that much. He cares so much about his students! I had a blast and enjoyed every second of his lectures. Take him!!!

Prof. Shizas is one of the best I have taken. I took his Theories of Personality class online and it was an easy A. There was a lot of little assignments and 2 papers, but they were fairly easy. If you put in at least 3 hours a week into the course, you should pass. This course was very interesting and he gives great feedback.

Brilliant person overall and could not recommend him enough. His coursework is interesting and theres a lot of extra credit. Truly cares about students learning.

The sweetest and so willing to work with you to make sure you pass. Does a great job at explaining the concepts and gives loads of examples to help you better understand. You literally just have to pay attention and it all comes easy. Hes the best. My favorite college professor.

I cannot imagine having taken 215 with any other professor. Prof. Shizas delivers the subject material respectfully and informatively while keeping the class interesting and not the least bit awkward. Great class to take if you want to become well informed on a biological/anatomical level in addition to psychological aspect. Also recommend for 212!

I cant even begin to describe how absolutely wonderful this man is. He is so intelligent and hes pretty easy. Hes really funny too but stays on track. I respect him so much. Hes so organized and will do anything to help. I HIGHLY recommend. 10-10 take him, no hesitation.

I took PSY 211 with this professor this summer and the class was great!

His online class has things do every Thursday and Sunday which is really great because you get into a routine. If you do all the work and read the textbook you'll pass with an A easily.

If you plan on taking Psychology 101, look no further than Professor Shizas. He adds personal comments to your work that you can actually benefit from rather than copy and paste comments. This semester, we were thrown a curve ball with a pandemic and we had to switch to online. He put a lot of work into creating a plan so we could all succeed.

I usually do not rate professors, but because Professor Shizas is HANDS DOWN the most caring professor I have ever had, I had to. He is literally so nice and understanding. He answers emails incredibly fast and makes sure you completely understand the question asked. If you are debating taking this class, do it. An amazing professor.

This is my second class with Professor Shizas. I love him, he's awesome. The class is reasonable with the work. Study for quizzes, do the discussions, and there are only 2 papers I think. He also offers extra credit. If you have the option to be in his class, take it, you won't regret it.

I highly recommend anyone to take Prof Shizas, he was so kind. His feedback was helpful and his grading is very fair. I am surprised he does not have a 5/5 on here. We used an online textbook, discussion boards every week, and he leaves quizzes open for two days. Late work isn't accepted, unless certain circumstances, but you have so much time. :)

Loved this class. We learned about so many interesting things. Easy Quiz on canvas every week. You need to use the book for your assignments! Discussion boards, and assignments for each unit. 2 papers (one of them being the final.) Responds to emails and he will even call you on the phone if u need help. Take online.

I loved this class so much. Such a great professor who honestly cares about his students and wants them all to do good. His tests are just like the study guide and the lectures. If you study and listen to lectures you will be perfectly fine. He also does not make the lectures boring. Very easy class

Shizas is an awsome professor! i was scared to take an online class but it was great. His class is formated very well it is easy to keep up with everything. One thing is that he doesn't allow late work unless you have a doctors note, but he does offer extra criedt. He is also very funny, I met him at a psych club meeting he was a really cool guy.

Professor Shizas is extremely experienced in the classroom, and skilled at anticipating his students' needs. As an accredited psychologist who still sees patients, he also has great insights into the profession. I greatly appreciated his use of examples throughout the course to give deeper context. They helped me to learn and remember concepts.

Professor Shizas is amazing. Took him online and in person! This course has a good amount of quizzes, matching exercises, and discussions. 4/5 assignments a week. Due on Thursdays and Sunday.If you commit at least one day a week to this class, you will be perfectly fine. You def need your textbook but I found a free online pdf!

Honestly, One of the best teacher's at MVCC, I took him for my 3 week course over the Summer. Was always a treat to hear his person examples that related to the course material. He was caring and considerate for all of his students and actively made sure that everybody can understand the material. Easy A if you just show up and listen to material.

I took a 4-week winter course online, definitely loaded homework but was overall easy. quiz every weekend but 2 tries for every multiple choice assignment including tests. There was a 3-page essay at the end but fairly simple. He cares about his students and always leaves positive feedback on every assignment! Provided lots of extra credit

I took the 4-week course overall, it was amazing. I learnt a lot, and yes, it will be packed with work since it is a 4-week course, but it isn't as bad as it seems. He's very organized and grades it the next day with amazing feedback not only that, he also responds to emails quickly. He made a typically hard 4-week course easy. Take him.
