Excellent teacher but got to know how to write an essay. She is very helpful and smart. Take her if your willing to work otherwise you will fail. Not an easy A or B. Have to WORK!!!

Even though I worked hard, in this class and on tests and essays I recieved a C or better I earned a C+ in her class. This professor is a great teacher, and is willing to go over the work with you if you need more help. You have to work in this class though, it's not an easy A.

Her teaching style is great. She makes sure you understand everything but the only thing that sucks is writting all of the essays but atleast they help and prepare you for the compass and essay sample test thing.

Great teaching style! If you enjoy classroom discussion this class is a must. She asks very though provoking questions that end up being test questions, so pay attention! Overall this class was fun, but be prepared to read a lot! This class is an easy B!

Apparently, the student who rated this instructor for ENGL 1101 did not do well on the essays in the class. Yes, she is a tough grader, but fair. Students who give negative comments seem to be the ones who are afraid to go and speak with her. Why not make this same comment to her instead of on the web?

I have not had Mrs. Bazemore for that long, but her class is as interesting as the materials she is teaching. She allows discussions to be open, as well as showing respect for all her students and their opinions. To all those who complian, it sounds like you aren't up to a challenge. I do not understand why so many students have "dogged" this professor. She loves teaching and is willing to go far and beyond to make sure all students grasp the material. It seems that some of these comments are means to get back at her for poor grades in her class. Oh my goodness, she will work you, but it pays off in the long run. Trust me!

she is nice. but i didnt learn much. i am a JE student and i didnt think she was too tough. i tended to bounce back and forth from hating her and liking her. her grading really doesnt make much since, it seems kind of arbitrary. her class was all in all okay. oh yeah, and she calls a causal essay a casual essay. two totally different things

I had Mrs. Bazemore in the Fall of 06' and I really liked having her as a teacher. She was very clear and helpful on all of the assignments. Yes, there was work and you have to work for your grade, but isn't that what college is supposed to be about? She also made the class entertaining and I would definitey reccommend her.

Great lady, great class. Yes there is alot of work but she will work with you if she sees you make the effort. Papers are straight forward. What do you expect? Its college, the people below need to remember they are in a college level course. Take her, work hard, DONT CHEAT and you'll EARN the grade you get.

English is a very difficult subject for me. With a little hard work this class was passable though. I feel as though I have improved alot for my level of competence. She is a very helpful teacher, and a nice person all around. Be Prepared to work when this class is taken, but also be prepared for help if it is needed.

She is a very tough teacher. I have always received good grades on all my papers in other classes, and hardly passed anything in her class. I worked super hard in this class and had nothing to show for it. She made me feel like I was a horrible writer. Be prepared to work A LOT in her class. She is always willing to help out though.

If you are not serious about taking this class, do not waste your time! She is a good person but very though teacher! She knows her stuff, but unless you are ready to work hard, pick someone else! Get ready to study hard and at the end it will pay off!!!

Ms. Bazemore is a harsh teacher with her grading, but you do not have to worry about making a bad grade in her class if you study the notes and do your homework. People say she is rude, but she is only stand offish when you deserve it. (use your manners. Duh.) You are paying about $400 to be in this class....she is worth every penny. Trust.

she is very strict on essay, but i have learned alot from her and she helps you along the semester if anything is needed. The problems are that she grades essays really strict and also she announces POP QUIZZES. If your taking this class, make sure you read what she gives you and do your best.

she takes her job way too seriously, she doesn't understand the ethics of a teacher but definitely knows the ethics of teaching like a boot camp professor. Although Mrs. Bazemore is a difficult teacher,she helped prepare me for the writing to exit Engklish 99, as well as the exit compass. To me she was a great teacher, and I know that I am a better writer because of her!!!

Ms. Bazemore is a difficult instructor but I learned more from her about writing than any english instructor I've had so far. If you want to become a better writer take her because she is very helpful. Make sure you have your book by the 1st or 2nd day of class because she gets started early, and use the book a lot for the learing support classes.

I took this class half a semester and it was difficult. It can be done and a good grade can be achieved. Lots of discussion questions with 2 responses for each. Exams have multiple choice, true/false, fill in the blank, and short answers. Make sure you have the book the first day of class and read ahead if possible. No extra credit!!! 2 Essays.

Exempt test offered first week of class, pass and you're done. From my interaction with Miss Bazemore, she was very nice and pleasant (I exempted the course)

Mrs. Bazemore is the teacher that you hate. Then one day you realize how much you are learning, how smart you are & how dumb you were being. If you are interested in getting in & out of this class, this is not the professor you should invest in. However, if you are interested in developing & being prepared for what is next, she is one of the best.

Professor Bazemore class was great and straight forward. Do the assignments and reply to two classmates discussion, you will pass. I don't know why this professor gets a bad rap. I really enjoyed her class. She always replied to my emails in a timely matter. I recommend this class!

Pass or fail class. I took her mini-mester online course. I wouldnt take the class if you dont know much about technology b/c her instructions arent crystal clear. Her responses are kind of late so ask them early. Its not an easy A but its not a very stressful class. Youll spend 3 hours AT MOST each week working on her assignments.

Two discussions weekly with lots of reading. It was tough to find a rhythm at first but once you do its worth it. She really challenges you week to week and then you do a research paper in lieu of a final. I would recommend.
