I took this class in summer session II 2005. This was the fifth time I was taken MAT051. This professor cares. Yes, he does have an accent,but his speech is clear. He cares if you learn, pass the COMPASS and the departmental final.If you can take other math classes with him. You will not be disappointed.

VERY GOOD teacher. Very helpful with everything and made sure that everyone understood everything before continuing. Not alot of homework and you dont need to buy a book. He teaches only what you need to know to pass the class. He's VERY smart and if you just follow everything he says he will get you to pass the class. Its really his only goal.

He is truly THE BEST PROFESSOR in BMCC!! He is very clear, very patient, and makes sure every single person in class understands the topic. His tests are fair. He only teaches what's really important and needed for the final. If you are not good at math take his class and you will learn!!! Just do your work and show up in class and you'll be fine!!

I took MAT 100 and I am taking MAT 160 with him now and I am so glad, I used to hate mat in highschool, I absolutely love it now! No homework, great exam reviews. If you do your work you are getting a good grade!

His is very helpful. His class was not difficult. He does not give homework. All work is done in the class. The exams are similar to the review. His a great professor with a nice personality.

He is the best professor to teach math 051. if you take his class, I garanty that you will past the compass test and the final test. he will go over and over if you do not undertand the problem. It was a good help for me to get out of 051. just pay attention and practice all the exercise. high recomended, not hard at all. he is the best.

He was such an incredibly kind hearted professor. Always made sure you understood the material, made things very simple. He's a professor you take if you really feel you're horrible at math. I don't know how he's so patient cuz there are some real air heads in his classes. Also if u want a professor who will challenge you, don't take him.

I am completely horrible in math and I passed the compass the first time.He is the most patient person on this earth. If you your not good in math and you need someone to give you one and one attention he is your teacher.And he is not strict with attendence.

He was an excellent prof. Can be recommended 100%. His exams are extremly easy and clear.If u have a wrong answer he will not deduct complete points as long as u follow the process.Not strict with attendance but my advice is to be there, always. He is a very helpful kind man. Won't regret it! One of the few good prof's @ BMCC.

Currently taking him for Calculus III. He's a really good professor, and wants you to do well. He goes through every subject clearly, and he wants you to succeed. He's not out here to make his life, or yours, harder than what it needs to be. At the end of the day, he wants you to know the material and feel accomplished. Does a lot of reviews, too.

You will not find a nicer professor in BMCC! This professor is extremely kind to students and very helpful. He gives sample exams. If you study them, there's no way to fail! Actually,an A is very doable in this class. It's a stress free class. Recommended!!

He's an amazing professor. He teaches in a slow pace, which didn't work for me. He doesn't assign any hw at all, and his exams are very easy. If you attend the lab, ask questions on his classes, and get 85 and above on all his exams, you'll get A.

I love this teacher alot. He explained everything very clear even though he has a thick accent but he will repeat everything over and over to you each class. Doesn't use textbook but uses web assign. He really enjoys teaching you and wants you to pass. Just listen and pay attention. Take notes if you have to but its not required. He is the best.

He's a good professor. Gives 3 exams. They are commutive but he gave a review sheet before and went through it with the class and ga us the answers for one of the sheets. If he sees it's his wrong that he failed to teach something he will teach it but not grade you. Very considerate.DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS AT 8 AM. He's forever late & wont email2tell

He grades based on 3 exams. It's pretty easy because not only does he explain crystal clear, but he gives review sheets of the exams; he gives everything from it with different numbers. He doesn't give HW either. Not sure if that's a good thing. He doesn't care about lateness or absences as long as you do well, which you will.

I LOVE THIS GUY!! This was the easiest math class I have ever taken in my life, SERIOUSLY. I was so nervous about taking math that I took the lowest level needed for my major. He was absent a lot. This class is an EASY A! He doesn't care if you don't go to class but if you don't learn the work you won't pass. Grades are based solely on the tests.

He is a very nice and easy professor. If you don't plan on taking any further math courses, I would recommend taking him. However, I found myself struggling in Calculus 2 after taking his Calculus 1 course.

Excellent professor, had him for both mat 056 and 206. He is great at explaining concepts and gives you many opportunities to improve your grade if you didn't do so good on a test. His review sheets are great, most of what is on the review sheet will be on the test so don't take it for granted.

Great Professor, absence doesn't matter to him and we get no homework. We have 3 exams no midterm or final so his class is based upon those three tests so you'll get an easy A if you pass those tests. He gives a review sheet for each exam which makes the exams easier to understand. Great professor, will take again !

Great professor - wants to see students succeed but you have to work for it. No easy A, but an earned A. Very nice man. Hope to take him again for higher level courses.

Professor K. helped me understand statistics even though it was way different from what I learned before, in my 1st semester. I managed to get 100% in my two exams, I have one left (final). He doesn't give out homework but he does give out review sheets for the exams. He makes everything look so easy. My grade will go from a D to an A+. Great prof!

This professor is the best . Too him for stats Mat150. Easy A. Formula sheet allowed. I would study an hour the day before the test and get a 100. Highly recommended. Extremely patient and kind. 3 exams all cumulative. No suprises . Gives reviews sheet. Every class he reviews the previous lesson and new things. Take him if you need an A for nursing

In the top 3 best teachers Ive ever had, if not #1. I always hated math and I enjoyed his class a lot. He so nice and explains things in a way that theyre so simple to understand. If you show up to class, you will pass. He doesnt give HW, and theres only 3 tests in the whole class. No midterm or final.

His class was a breeze. It's important not to miss a class. No homework. Grades are based on exams. You are allowed to use a formula sheet during your exams. He will allow you to check your answers with your neighbors before turning in your exams. Show your work and he'll give you partial credit if your answer is incorrect.

To get an easy A all you have to do it show up and learn the math he makes sure everyone is on the same page if you're struggling don't be afraid to ask for help because he will There's 3 exams he'll drop the lowest grade and you are allowed a cheat sheet during the exam. The first time I took 150 I had to drop but with him its EASY A so take him!

(Summer 2020) Professor Kirupaharan seemed like a nice teacher but for the Summer MAT 206.5 course, we only met on zoom to ask questions. The course was homework HEAVY and I had to teach myself through the text provided and youtube. The tutors weren't really helpful so having to wait several days to ask a hw question was annoying.

Amazing professor. He goes through every assignment. Explains everything . If you need any help he is there for you.

10/10. Took the asynchronous version of this class and it was honestly the best. does not a heavy amount of work and only 3 test. ( 1st test, midterm & final)

Easy A. Two tests, one midterm, and one final. Homework is 4-5 questions for each module. Super easy class overall.

10/10! amazing prof! statistics is a hard subject but he makes it understandable and hie video lectures are understandable. very simple prof , just submit your work and you'll be fine. 1exam, 1 midterm,1 final. he has a math website in which you submit your work which gives you weekly HW thats doable. would def take him again.

I took the 206.5 online asynchronous class. It was really easy and simple, and I was able to do the work on my own time. Take this class!

Few tests, easy to understand lectures. Do the homework, study when the tests are due, and you'll pass. He's very nice and knowledgeable; which is great for a subject that so many people hate.

Overall a great professor, some may say his accent is thick but i understood him. It was an online class and attendance wasn't mandatory but he was there to teach the lessons each week so we can do the hw. He goes over hw or examples at a steady pace. He doesn't answer emails tho.
