Took her for bio 1409 and the class is manageable. 4 exams, a midterm and final. You will be fine as long as you study your quizzes; theres 1 after every chapter. Lab reviews after each chapter too. Theres also no extra credit. So beware. Overall, she can be nice and sarcastic at the same time. An A is very doable in her class.

Professor Carreon is the best! If you get the chance to take her class, take it! You don't have to buy the textbook, only the lab manual. The majority of your grade will come from quizzes and exams. The exams are very similar to the quizzes, so make sure you do well on those. In lab, she only grades the hw, and gives helpful reviews for lab exams.

A real gem, so caring and loving for her students, wants to see everyone do great. It's a Bio class so it goes without saying, lecture heavy, she does try and go through them fairly quickly. Exams are very similar to the quizzes, lab homework is extremely easy, curves when needed, lab finals are hard but doable. You won't regret taking her!

Professor Carreon was exceptional. There were 5 exams plus a 100 question final. There were many quizzes as well, but if you pay attention to her lecture or reas the PowerPoint slides youre set. You will see questions from the quiz on the test. She was very respectful, laid back, and completely understanding. During COVID, she provided extensions.

I took her in person spring 2020 but when covid hit we transfered online. She's very nice, easily accessible to pronto if you had a question. if you pay attention and study the power point tests are easy. People complaining that she did not give a studyguide must have not studied the powerpoints because the test questions were basically on there.

Shes a good teacher! her final was repeat questions from past tests so its easy to pass. Adjusted well to transferring online to the pandemic. She does give quizzes and some lab reports.

Carreon is overall a great professor! Science in general have never been my favorite subjects, but for the first time I actually really enjoyed learning about biology. If you care about her class she'll care about you. Obviously wants you to succeed or else she wouldn't provide so many extra credit opportunities or give you optional videos to watch outside of class, however, she doesn't hold anybody's hand through the course.

Ms. Carreons biology class is one that i did not find so difficult. She gives a lot of chances for extra credit and curves exam grades. As long as you study her notes and past quizzes her exams will be easy.

She's very chill and doesn't get upset. There is a lot of time consuming homework but its easy. My grades are my fault for not paying much attention, however the times I did, the lesson was taught very fast and smoothly explained.

During the Course, Mrs. Carreon taught myself and my classmates easily. She taught us with a sense of understanding and encouragement.

I feel this course was good. She was able to teach us new things we didn't know before. I myself enjoyed some of the experiments we did in class. We were able to learn from them and see things happen with our own eyes.

Miss Carreon is a great professor. I've learned a lot from her and would totally recommend her for future BIO students. However, her class does require a lot of studying and preparation, so I only recommend this course to students who are willing to put in the extra work. Good teacher. Lots of assignments almost daily, but you have a team and once you get used to the assignments they are easy. Lab and lecture exams are pretty easy, she assigns 16 10 question quizzes for every chapter. However they help you study for the exams. And the exams help with the final.

I started this class in the late August and was finishing towards the mid December. This was a fun experience since I got the chance to meet new people and I also had several friends in this class that made me feel comfortable. The only bad thing that I disliked of her class is that she puts in grades last minute, so you wont be able to keep track of your grade. Overall, the class was great, the labs and lectures were fun and entertaining while also informative. The assignments were doable and helpful with understanding the subject. One thing that I did not enjoy was the late grading it made me nervous to see what my final grade would be, but it is understandable with the number of things needed to grade.

She does give a lot of handouts but they're fairly easy. The quizzes and exams are fairly easy if you study. The only thing I don't like in this class is that she's very unorganized and sometimes things can change last minute. She is very behind in the grading part, which is very hard to keep track if you really want to know your grades.

This professor was very nice. Provided tons of extra credit opportunities, and has extra credit questions worth 10 points each quiz/exam you take during the course. The quizzes 100% reflect what is going to be asked in the exams for each chapter. I will admit, the course can be unorganized at times, but it is kept up to a good enough manner.

Take this class so you can focus on other classes! If your taking Biology, this will be the easiest professor in the department. All of the tests are previous quiz questions word for word. There is a ludicrous amount of extra credit in this class, in fact, this very rating is worth a total of five pts of extra credit on the final out of 20.

Professor Carreon is such a kind and patient teacher who truly cares about her students. She's always there to help. The work can be a lot, but it's not too difficult to complete. She gives extra credit, is super organized, and gives you everything you need to succeed in Biology. If you want to actually learn, choose Professor Carreon.

Professor gives great lectures and is always making sure students are engaged. Make sure to study outside of class and her notes/quizzes are really helpful. She is willing to work with you and really does care but make sure to tell her with time so that she can help you.

Professor Carreon offers a lot of extra credit. The lecture/lab exams are based off of quizzes which are all proctored with honorlock. Overall, if you attend class, do all assignments, and pay attention you will 100% pass her class with a B or higher.

Paraphrasing the textbook chapters so read in advance before class lecture. Lots of homework so try spacing it out. Especially if taking it in the Summer.

She's pretty understanding about things and just mainly gives the attitude you give her back to yourself. The course its self is very heavy on studying outside of the classroom. If you don't you'll barely scrape by.

Amazing professor! Her grading system is very helpful, and it is quite easy to get an A if you put in the effort. Great lectures and very understanding.

Very good BIO prof. Explains content clearly and is chill. Tests are easy and mostly the same questions as the quizzes. Gives lots of extra credit and drops some of your lowest quiz or test grades. I'd 100% take her again.
