She is great. I never had to study cause I just got the information. And she is so willing to help and get to know you as a person. I totally recomend her.

Dr. Garner is great, she is an awesome professor. She loves what she teaches and it shows in the class.

She Rocks! I agree with the majority on this one. Take Garner. She may look and act at times like a hippie, but discussions are great and she'll really guide and help you where you need it. Plus, she actually takes the time to know and care about you!

She is awesome! If you go to class and pay attetion you'll do fine. I don't really have to study for the tests because her class time is so useful. She helps me really understand what we are talking about, I never left confused. Definitely take her!

Greatest prof. @ MU, no doubt. she tries to get to know you, connects with you, gets you moving around the classroom, funny!! Tests are easy, just study notes and memorize essays, and youll get an A. I would suggest her to anyone, i wish i could take her again!!!

Dr. Garner is VERY nice, helpful, and enthusiastic about teaching and us learning. Class dicussions are great. Tests are right from her notes, doesn't really use the book that much except for papers. She also gives you the essays for the tests a week ahead of time. AWESOME PROF!

Great class, great prof. Teaches only what she wants you to know, and there is lots of practical information. Very approachable and the best of the psych department.

Easy, easy class. Dr. Garner is a cuddly vegan. Has a lot of opinions about how to raise kids, but had none of her own. Prone to psychologically evaluating students, but its an easy A. 3 tests, 3 short papers, non-cumulative final.

Dr. Garner is a great professor. I recomend taking Psyc. 227 with her. It is easy to get an a if you come to class and take good notes.

Had her for Psych of Children and Adolescence. Easy tests straight from the notes. Writing class and the papers were short and easily graded. She had us sit in a big circle so we could all participate. This was an enjoyable, easy class.

This class was fun, mostly a big discussion every time. Although some of her child rearing advice I didn't always find practical, I agree with most of the points she raises. You actually learn a decent amount. She def cares about her students and grades so easy on essays and papers.

Loved the class! It was more of a group duscission everyday. We sat in a circle and everyone joined in with something to say. Test were fair and so where the projects. She was more then willing to help or answer questions. I strongly recommend anyone to take her class.

Great teacher! This is such a fun class! The tests are not too challenging and the papers are easy as long as you follow the directions. Don't read the book even if she advises to. It's not worth it. Only use it if you don't understand something that was covered in class or for your papers.

Amazing professor. Very personable, tests are very easy. 40 pts multiple choice, 40 pts essay and she gives you the essay topic in advance. This was one of those rare classes where I did absolutely nothing but truely felt like I learned a lot.

i love Prof. Garner1 she's so great with helping you understand children and the ways they grow up and she has the easiest "opportunities" (exams)! she has so much history and interesting facts i actually want to go to her class! i once drove to her class in a snow storm haha...

I really enjoyed this class! Classes are just discussions but they are actually interesting. Tests are fairly easy. She gives the essay questions in advance. I learned a lot from this class! Take her if you get the chance, it's worth it!

Prof Garner is a nice and talented teacher. She gives life examples and on hands things so that you understand always there to help you if you need it. First test has 1 long and 2 short essays and multiple choice. Other two test just multiple choice. Have to go to jenkins observe preschoolers and write a paper about it easy. Highly Recommed Garner!

I highly recommend Garner! Anyone who puts the class into a circle instead of rows has my recommendation. She's highly knowledgeable on the subject and she lectures with real life examples which makes concepts very easy to grasp without hours of studying. The tests aren't bad if you go to class regularly. She likes class discussion so be prepared!

One of the best professors I have ever taken! There isn't anyone who I know who hasn't enjoyed taking her child/adolescent class. Class usually is in a circle. One major paper for the class however, plenty of time and help offered from Prof Garner. If you are able to get into this class take it you won't regret it!!

Loved her class & teaching style, from the "oppotunities" (this is what she calls exams), to the huge circle we sat in in class that always spawned a great debate & you wondered why the time had gone by so quickly once class was over, made you never want to miss a day! By far my favorite class! She makes class soo fun, you turn your desks in a circle and class is like one big discussion. She loves hearing your stories and VERY enthusiastic about teaching. Gives 3 exams (they get harder as you go) and a final group project/presentation. I definatley recommend her for ANY class, she was amazing!

Nadine was the best professor i have ever had. Gives three "opportunities" which are extremely easy as long as you pay attention in class and read the selected readings. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS CLASS!!!! Nadine is a great great lady.

Nadine Garner is the best teacherprofessor I have ever taken in my entire life. She cares SO MUCH about the students and really shows it. I wish I could be half the person she is someday. Professor Garner is a really interesting teacher to say the least. Classes are like a discussion and everyone sits in a circle. She truly believes in quality over quantity. I was able to retain information better with her teaching methods. Participation in class is key for a good grade.

Just because this was an easy A, doesn't mean it's a joke class. Dr. Garner makes you think critically about your upbringing and where you are now. Loved her class. She really wanted you to apply her lectures to real life which made it very applicable and memorable. Applicable to all majors. Plus she's quirky and awesome.

Dr. Garner is by far my favorite teacher! She makes us all feel at home and treats us all fair. I would take any class she teaches in the future. We had only 3 tests, 1 paper, and a power point to do. Her lectures were good and she involves the class for their input. She shows us many examples and opens your eyes and makes you think!

She is an amazing human being to know. She is fair to all of her students and truly wishes the best for them in their studies. She's one of my favorite professors at the University. She gets involved in a lot of on-campus events outside of class and brings her daughter along, too. I hope I have a chance to meet this woman again later in life...

Dr. Garner is a really caring professor! She overall cares about her students well-beings and offers herself as an outlet when needed. She knows how college can be so she tries not to be like every other college professor. We did not learn nearly as much as the other 227 classes but she does give real life experiences.

Dr. Garner is such an inspiring person. She made me question certain things about myself, the world, and how we teach children. The textbook is rarely used and the "opportunities" are easy. I know I'll never forget what I learned because the way she teaches helps you absorb the material instead of remembering it only until you take the opportunity.

Really loved this class and the lectures she would give us because she would just tell stories and have the class share there own experiences. If you don't get an A you literally have to sit there and do nothing. She really opened up to a lot of problems in the world that I'm thankful for. Would totally take another class with her.

I love Dr. Garner. The class is so engaging and she really cares about her students. There isn't a lot that your graded on but the way she teaches the material it just sticks. First exam i got a 100%. There were only two exams for this class (They were all "open ended" but super easy) The final is a presentation that was worked on all semester.

Dr. Garner cares about her students. I am in the school counseling program and she is my adviser so I see her a lot. Both the classes I have taken with her have been mostly lectures, but she keeps them interesting and allows for students to discuss. I've learned so much from her class that I was actually able to apply to my job. Highly recommend!

I took her 227 Child Development class. She is very sweet and interesting and her class is VERY easy. But the biggest project of the semester, although easy, has nothing to do with the course material. Shes super into the environment, so our final project was about terracycling. She still has some great insights and lectures though.

Very, very amazing person. She really cares and her lectures keep you paying attention the whole time. Participation matters but she doesnt make it hard to want to go. She doesn't grade many things or give many assingments but the one she does give are not hard.

She is a great person and cares about her students. Her lectures are great and she provides great stories and feedback. However, I wish she had more structure in her class. She is very disorganized and because of this, my class missed out on topics that needed to be covered, but weren't. She is very bad at time management in terms of class.
