She is very difficult to understand. Attending her lectures are important however, sometimes they seem to be of no use. As mentioned by someone else below, she is a Doctor by profession, not a professor, thus she CANNOT TEACH. You basically have to teach yourself everything. its sad.
She is a very nice person, and very helpful if you go to her office hours. But she can't teach. She is very hard to understand. Her lectures are confusing and she switches back and forth from "you need to know this" and "you don't need to know this". Half the time she doesn't even answer your question!
worst.prof.ever.1) can't teach 2)never clear about what to know off her ppts for tests 3)rude and sarcastic when you ask her questions 4)expects you to memorize way too much info than necessary to do wellon tests. she should stick to being a doctor or researcher and stop teaching.
Professor Nagham is an approachable prof. However her accent makes it very hard to understand and for anatomy, it is difficult to memorize terms when everything is mispronounced. The time she spends on a topic in class has no correlation to the likelihood of it being on the test. If it is mandatory to take her class, memorize EVERYTHING
If you are expecting to not memorize anything in anatomy, you are not going to do well. There's only so much a prof can teach in anatomy; a lot of it is memorizing. So suck it up. Her lectures are interesting and she includes everything in her slides. But you have to attend class because she sometimes gives hints for term tests.
She is the best teacher I ever had. She is very helpful if you go to her office. Being a doctor added a lot of stories from her experience which make it easy and fun to memorize topics most of the time. Anatomy is a hard subject, her lectures are organized, she is mastering the subject and she knows what she is talking about.

Prof. Nagham is very nice and helpful. Her lectures are interesting and she put efforts organizing and putting notes. Her exams are hard though, but this is ANATOMY.
Amazing Prof! She explains everything extremely clearly and is straight forward with all of the material before the test comes. Going to office hours clarifies things even more and she is always willing to help and work with you. She loves what she's doing, and she's more educated about it than most other profs in their field. Favourite Prof ever.
Amazing Prof! She really knows her stuff and she's clear about all the material before the test. Her diagrams come from the textbook, but she explains them with such detail that you just can't help but understand it. You will always knows what's on the test and to what extent, and she is always approachable and friendly. Especially in office hours.
Best Prof. Ever. She is my favorite. I recommend taking her course.
She is the best. You never feel bored during her lecture. Time flies without noticing. Her clinical applications make it easier to understand Anatomy. She is so kind and helpful specially at her office hours. I sent her e mails several times asking questions, she replied in no time. She is my favorate.
My fav Prof thus far... One of those Profs that exudes love for her work which in turn makes you like it. Eager to help you learn and makes herself readily available to any help you may need. Her tests are fair. Highly recommend her class
Awesome Prof! Very fair and no surprises on tests. A lot of content to memorize, but concepts are not difficult. Great lecturer!
She is really good in explaining and giving examples from real life. That is why first semester was difficult. Muscles and bones were a lot to memorize. Things became easier when we started systems Anatomy. this is not her fault. Anatomy is very difficult, and she did well I think. I will take her course if she teaches other courses. She is good.
Prof Nagham is one of the nicest professors I know! You can tell that she loves the field of medicine by the way she talks. The first semester of this course was hard due to the sheer amount of memorizing (all the bones and muscles) but it wasn't her fault. Anatomy is a lot easier and more interesting the second semester.
You need to obviously put in lots of work in this class, but its mostly memorising the slides. The prof is nice but not that clear at explaining things in terms of concepts and how to prepare for the examinations and tests. The class can be taught in a better manner especially if the prof knows how to teach.
Professor Nagham was amazing. She had so much knowledge about all the anatomy topics taught. Her slides were organized and were easy to follow. In addition she is a very nice professor who is also approachable and she made anatomy fun to learn.
Amazing prof !loved her course. Hoevere, you have to memorize a lot. She was so helpful
She tried really hard to make everything easier for us. But she's just a really bad professor. She couldn't explain the concepts properly and I basically just memorized everything. I don't feel like I have learnt anything from her. I honestly think if you stay home and read the text its a lot more helpful than her.
Best prof. EVER ! I enjoyed attending her lectures, everything was taught in an amazing way. Her test was reasonable. She is so helpful. I strongly recommend taking her course although it is one of the hardest courses... Her passion in Embryology passed smoothly to most of the students I know...
Best prof ever ! I decided to enrol any class she teaches
What you see is what you get. The tests and exams were very fair, and all of the questions came from her lecture slides. Professor Nagham is enthusiastic and passionate about what she teaches, and I wish she taught more bio courses :)
Prof. Nagham is as good in Physiology as she is good in Anatomy and Embryology . She is a tough grader though. Great course so far
Prof Nagham is a great physiolog y professor. I feel that her teaching has dramatically improved from bio210. Her tests were very fair, she explained how answers were marked and didn't hesistate in providing answer keys whch was helpful for our understanding.
Good prof. Knows her stuff well. Tests are really very easy. Perfect course to score a 4.0.
She's SO great! Please take a course with her. You will not regret it. She is very knowledgeable, helpful, organized, funny... just everything you want a proff to be.
Prof Nagham is my favourite, she treats her students like her kids! She understands that physiology is not the easiest subject and doesn't expect you to memorize things (if she doesn't have it memorized, she doesn't expect it from you). She's a tough grader but she teaches so well, you just need to study hard to do well. I'm gonna miss her so much!
She makes the content very easy to understand, and she doesn't expect you to memorize extremely specific details that don't seem to be rather relative to completely understanding the concepts. However, she does indeed challenge you to apply the knowledge you acquired from her lectures on the tests and exam. Nonetheless, amazing professor.
Attend all lectures, record everything she says and type it out on the PDF slides and study off that. Don't need textbook at all. Tests are based on lecture. She expects details and accuracy from what she teaches in class. Do past tests since she repeats questions. Don't feel overwhelmed in lectures as often times she is just elaborating on stuff.
Everyone has been saying she was an amazing prof during the summer but during the first semester of the 2016/2017 academic year, she took a turn for the worst. Had her both for BIO310 and BIO380 and she was awful for both. Incredibly rude to the class, unfair for her tests and her expectations of the class. Avoid her if possible.
I have her for BIO310 and BIO380 (Fall 2016), she is extremely rude and unprofessional. Her expectations of how students should answer her questions are un clear. The marking is extremely unfair. It definitely doesn't portray my true knowledge in the course and neither does it reflect the hardwork and the time I have invested in the course.
Worst professor in my entire undergraduate experience at UTM so far. The professor wants students to have the exact same words as her answer key or powerpoint. She wants her students to vomit whatever they have memorized on the test paper. I think she should just type out our tests and do control and find on computer since that's how she marks.
I had Prof. Nagham for BIO 380 this summer and now Fall BIO310. She is the best to give a lecture and make everything seems so easy. Her tests are fair, but she is a tough grader. I think she has a high expectation form the class in general. I will for sure take another course she teaches.
Dr. Nagham's passion to Embryology is contagious ! She simply changed my life. Her lectures were amazing and her tests were so challenging. I changed the way I study, and I was able to improve my term test and the final exam. So respectful and amazing prof. I will for sure take any class she teaches.
Best prof here. She really cares if you do well in the course. However, for short answer you have to be very specific because thats where everyone lost marks. You must memorize everything especially what she highlights because thats how she'll mark you. Course is information heavy so watch out. Study a week before tests and it's an easy A.
Only 2 weeks into my class, but already I'm not impressed. I find her harsh and incredibly rude. Debating dropping the class just because of her. Would not recommend.
Course content is already hard but the professor makes it even more confusing . Always talks in complete sentences so it's hard to follow what she's trying to say. Avoid her at all cost.
Great professor. It's clear she's very passionate about the topic she's teaching and goes above and beyond in explaining the material in great detail. The course itself is hard and you won't do well if you don't put a lot of time and effort in studying the material.
I love the way she makes the most difficult topics seem so easy to go through. This is a heavy course, but she is available for any question. So passionate and respectful prof.
At first I was really intimidated by her. After just 2 lectures and getting up to ask questions, she has become my favourite prof in my undergraduate career. All she wants is to have others love embryology as much as she does, shes super helpful and tests are very fair. I would 100% recomend taking this class if you are interested in embryology.
Dr. Nagham's lectures are amazing. It is only during her lectures, I am so into the subject that I even forget to look at my cell phone fore 2 hours. She makes things so easy to understand and memorize. She is all what you want from a professor to be.
She makes you fall in love with embryology. The course itself is dense and has quite a bit of material so it's easy to get intimidated; but the tests are non-cumulative (+ no exam) so it's definitely fair! She repeats the material multiple times to make sure that we understand it, not just for the test but because she genuinely wants us to learn.
Worst professor in my entire undergraduate experience at UTM so far. The professor wants students to have the exact same words as her answer key or powerpoint. She wants her students to vomit whatever they have memorized on the test paper. I think she should just type out our tests and do control and find on computer since that's how she marks.
I am not satisfied with this professor. The marking is what I found extremely unfair. I cannot fathom how what you receive a mark of zero for something you summarize on a test paper in your own words from the textbook that is described differently than in the ppt or by the prof. I don't understand the point of asking us to buy textbook.
Knowledgable, caring, funny and approchable professor. Lots and lots of real life examples. Loved her class and did really well.
The best prof. thus far ! So sad the course ended! I love love Embryology because of her. She is a gem!
Amazing professor. The best I've had at U of T so far, by a long shot. I was really excited to take this course, and she made it worthwhile. The course material itself is pretty tough. There is a lot of memorization (different names for all kinds of things), but she repeats herself so the info sticks, and its really interesting too. Loved it!!
Amazing prof. I 'v had BIO310 and BIO380 and she was great. This Fall, I have her for BIO477, and she is phenomenal. I love her teaching style .
Finished with a decent mark and as someone who's from the same descent as her, it was hard to comprehend what point she was getting across. Don't get me wrong, nice person but unclear, confusing and repetitive. IF you do choose to continue with Nagham, the final is all past exams so get 100% and you'll be find if you failed the midterms lol
I took BIO202, BIO310 and BIO380 with her and I loveeee her! She is one of the most understanding, enthusiastic, cute and positive professors I have ever had! Her tests are difficult in the sense that they need thorough memorization of the slides but slides are all you need (I never read the textbook).
I had a wonderful experience every time I had her as a professor. She is extremely knowledgeable and beyond qualified for the courses she teaches. She is very motivated and had a lot of energy in classes which is contagious and is really able to capture students attention. Her tests are very fair and expects students to have deep and detailed know
Prof. Abdalahad is amazing, and I will take any courses she teaches! Her lectures are so interesting. I can keep listening to her for hours without feeling bored. She is very approachable and respectful.
I took animal physiology with her and she is great. Knows her stuff, enjoys teaching and goes at a reasonable pace. Very helpful during office hours. Only complaints are her english grammar isnt amazing and that can throw you off, plus she can skimp on some aspects of the animal physiology in favor of human physiology. But still she's amazing.
Prof. Nagham is amazing! Her enthusiasm for physiology is so infectious that the two hour lectures just flew by. Her slides are informative, and although I used the book to clarify anything I missed in class, its not necessary for the course. The midterm and exam were fair, and the labs were fun! I would definitely take another course with her!
took this course (BIO202H5S) in the summer with her; Nagham was a FANTASTIC prof! Her lectures were great, you can tell she's really passionate about her subject. Her quizzes were kind of difficult, but as long as you make good notes you were fine. Gives A LOT of chances for extra credit & really cares about her students. I'd always recommend her!
She is simply amazing.
The test need to have a better wording and marking criteria and she will simply ask about one thing and expect you to write 5-6 points specifically on it that are not asked in the question. The grading system needs immense improvement. Moreover her lectures are really confusing sometimes making it hard to understand.
professor Nagham really cares about her students. She takes quick steps to solve any problems that her students may face. Amazing professor!
The amazing professor! Helps her students succeed. If you take good notes and review them on at least a weekly basis, you are in good shape.
Overall a great prof. Lectures were a bit slow and boring but her notes are very detailed and usually thats all you need for the tests. Quizzes were a bit tough but if you studied then you should be fine. Labs were pretty easy and were quite fun as well. She also gives lots of bonus opportunities and extra credit which was great.
Very tough grader. Wants very very specific and detailed answers. Does not respond to emails if you have concerns for recently done tests. Please avoid her if you can I genuinely mean it. Contradicts herself many times during lecture. Very disorganized and hard-to-follow lectures. Had to take her for 2 mandatory courses - 202 and 310.
She is a kind and caring person (very motherly), but does not teach very well as a prof. Her lectures are a bit difficult to understand and I ended up teaching all of the material to myself. Her tests are difficult too.
The worst course I have ever taken, she doesn't care about her students. Refuses to answer questions during lectures, or if she does she'll do it right after a big sigh. Always contradicts her self, very disorganized. We got told one thing one day and the other day she changes up everything. Midterm average: 55%.
condescending, expect last minute changes to grading scale ex. she gave us 55 mins for a 30 pt SA question but after the test said it was actually worth 58 pts she seems like a nice lady but as a professor she is unhelpful and not understanding. her grading scheme for short answers is super specific respectable in knowledge but not as a teacher
OMG! She explained difficult topics in a very simplified way! many physiology processes I learned from other courses just made sense . Best prof. and I will take any course she teaches for sure. Strongly recommended
I had Professor Nagham for both BIO202 and BIO310 and she was great for both classes with class averages around B which is very high. She gives lots of free marks 20 - 25% worth of quizzes and homework assignments that will easily boost your overall mark and a bonus. Textbook isn't required because she goes over all the content in her lectures.
Tests and exam was very lecture heavy, you don't need the textbook to do well. She gives in-class quizzes at the end of lecture which are a mark booster. My only complaints are that she goes pretty fast during lecture, and her marking scheme for the short answers is veryyy specific.
worst bio course i have taken (grade-wise not content). she makes her tests too hard and barley gives enough time.
She uses figures in her lectures that aren't in the textbook and goes off on tangents a lot. It was more useful to read the textbook than just rely on lectures. Her tests have easy multiple choice, but she wants specific answers for short answer questions. Sometimes she tells you the grading scheme to get full marks and sometimes she doesn't.
Lecture material is fair and not so difficult understand. Her approach to teaching, however, could use adjustments. Makes students feel like they shouldn't be asking questions for clarification, seems almost bothered when she has to repeat concepts, and her lecturing is everywhere and anywhere... not so easy to make notes with sloppy presentation
Although there were a few things Professor Nagham could have done better, I really did appreciate the opportunities to get extra marks in this class and allowing students to give her feedback after each test. I think lectures could be a lot more organized and not rushed, and it would've helped if lecture recordings were kept up. Challenging exam.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, she made things more stressful by posting her recorded lectures only up to 48 hours, even though everything is online and every other class I've had in the same faculty and year posted recorded lectures semester-round. She also made mistakes during lectures and tests, and was not accommodative for them during marking.
Professor Nagham often rushes through concepts in her lectures and gives no time to do the after lecture quizzes. Her midterms/exams are sometimes confusing in comparison to what she teaches in class.
If you take this class in the fall you better be ready to write every word she says, including if it's from a student question. Had some questions on the test that were based off of student questions despite them not being points on the lecture slides. For real. Write. Everything. Down. Everything. Even if it doesn't seem important.
Does not care about students. Even when her tests, quizzes, and assignments are 100% lecture-based, she deletes her lectures after a couple of days. Lectures are extremely long and fast-paced. If you ask a question, there's always a chance she will embarrass you or act condescending. She assigned a big portion of this grade to a group project.
She is a kind prof but her policy of posting the recordings of her lectures for 48 hours is so very irritating. She also goes off on some tangents that aren't included in her slides which means you need to be present at the lecture to be able to do well on the exam. On her final she put a few questions relating to lab methodology, ie pH used in lab
horrible, try to tak ewith a different prof
She is decent at explaining but imo just parrots the textbook info. Her tests do not resemble material taught in class or even the textbook for that matter, and there is little to no chance of completing them on time. She is also extremely condescending. If you ask for help you are likely to get reprimanded for not doing the readings/keeping notes.
One of the worst professors you'll ever see in your university life. Thick accent, lectures are hard to follow. Very poorly organized course and want to make students' life as difficult as possible. She made the lecture recordings unavailable after 3 days because she is afraid of students not keeping up with the content (0 logic). Avoid her.
She is so bad at explaining. Nothing comes out of her mouth makes sense. Her tests and materials are so poorly organized. Don't take this course. You would be better off taking an equivalent course in USSG. Just because she is a failed doctor doesn't mean you have to be one too.
Took this class because I needed the credit. This prof is out to get us, truly an evil villain. Many of us did very poorly due to the very strict enforcements on the marking schemes. Basically if you said good instead of well you would get a 0 for that part because its not what she is looking for. Do yourself a favour and dont take this class.
I agree, her tests can be painful and the course material gets overwhelming but she is afterall a respectable prof who tries to teach to the best of her abilities. I have had her for 4 courses, and I can tell you shes one of the only professors at utm that explains concepts concisely. You just need to pay attention, and listen to her advice.
The previous review claimed that Dr. Abdalahad is good at explaining. She is not, and is nowhere close to level of Professor Sanja or Professor Rawle or Professor Richter. The difference is night and day. Dr. Abdalahad can take a very normal topic and make it extremely boring and insufferable. Her test are made with no consideration whatsoever.
I liked her
She can be condescending sometimes when you ask her a question. Her tests are unorganized. Personally, I find her somewhat hard to understand because of her thick accent. Maybe she'll be different when it's in-person, but don't take her if it's online.
The only way to study for her tests is to copy every word she says. Only in this way you won't miss a detail that will appear on the test. The textbook doesn't help, but she still wants you to read them for whatever. Compared to other bio classes, this is definitely the most stressful class I've ever taken. She is F-tier compared to other profs
I never believed in students rating profs but this prof is the worst I've ever had. Lectures are very messy, explanations are overcomplicated and term test grading is very hard. No clear learning outcomes for the course. No assignments/participation opportunities. You're essentially teaching yourself. This is all coming from a 4.0 student. AVOID!
Her courses have a lot of stuff as they're bio courses. Hella memorization so get your brain ready. Of course understanding all the stuff she teaches would help but it can be hard when combined with other courses during the semester and when you have a below average prof. Goodluck!
Always attend the lectures because the consequence of not attending them is failing this class! The lectures are so painfully content heavy and you have to memorize so so much! No readings tho! The tests are also very difficult with a very specific answer key. If you can, avoid taking classes with her because she doesn't make it enjoyable at all!
I don't understand the bad reviews. She is a tough grader and the tests aren't that difficult,if you study well enough you should be fine. Tests are entirely based on lectures. Her lectures are organized, she says more information verbally than there is on the slides,so attendance is mandatory to pass. Engaging content, very useful tut recap quizzes
She is a sweet professor, but sometimes condescending and paints herself to be an angel. She seems very knowledgeable in the topics, but her accent is hard to understand sometimes. I applied CR/NCR to the course as I knew it would affect my gpa. This course is HARD. If you don't need to take it, don't take it.
The course is very challenging and heavy in reading; the lectures don't make the concepts any easier either.
Excelled in this class, no thanks to the professor. Condescending, unhelpful, rude to my peers. Does not care about students. Keep in mind, when working with them, this is not their preferred career path. And it shows. They are nothing special.
Dont take 310 with her unless it's mandatory
So much content. Her tests are marked very hard because she looks for such specific words in short answer questions. I do not recommend taking this class or professor if its not mandatory! Not a good experience at all. Caused my peers and I a lot of stress
The worst class I have ever taken. The prof. talks in the most boring, monotone, voice imaginable and her lectures are long. The most difficult thing to listen to, especially at 9am, let alone retain. The tests are HARD. I'm on my knees praying for a 50 and the idea of retaking this class again with the same prof. is horrific. Avoid if possible!
i had to drop this class cause it was causing me sm stress. i have to take it again next year and just the thought of it makes me want to run to the washroom. don't take this course if you don't need to. there's sm content and info to memorize. she's also kinda condescending. i usually do good in classes but this class makes me so nervous.
You're probably looking at the ratings and see that it's 50/50 good or bad. anyone who gave her "awful", expects to succeed by studying the day before a midterm or a exam. You will not pass her classes if you study the day before, but WILL pass with a GOOD mark if you study periodically. P.S. Exam questions are repeated + shes an excellent marker.
hard to understand when she talks, seems very unorganized when speaking and hard to follow along. talks very fast and for some reason she tries to scare students about tests. Tone is aggressive, somewhat condescending also which makes things very annoying. would def prefer a diff teacher.
lectures are very fast-paced, you have to remember everything that she mentions as there's not much information on the slides. tests require you to use the exact words she wants or you won't get the mark - only take with her if you have to, course couldve been easier with a different professor
She is very sweet, but her tests and lectures are very content heavy. This up is understandable though because this is an advanced course! Make sure you memorize everything from the inside out
The course content was nice, it was her that ruined it for me, focusing on trying to memorize every single teeny tiny detail in every little thing instead of enjoying and understanding the content. Her marking on the tests were so unfair and brutal.
worst class I have taken in my 7 years of post-secondary study. She takes joy in seeing her class struggle. If you can choose another teacher I highly recommend it. Even if you go for office hours it's a waste of time. Instead of knowing the general content be ready to remember the most minute, insignificant details and be ready to fail all tests.
Shes not bad but talks really fast, make sure you USE FLASHCARDS PLEASE, USE FLASHCARDS PLEASE USE FLASHCARDS PLEASE!!!! I clutched the exam from a pre low grade.
The professor fills in a lot of gaps during lectures that aren't mentioned in the lecture slides, so I would highly recommend attending lectures. The short answers of the exams/tests are very specific, and details do matter, so keep that in mind when studying.
This class is a tough one, with lots of memorization required. The professor's accent can be tricky, and her grading is very strict. However, attending lectures and actively studying the material regularly are key to doing well. unstuck AI has been a helpful study tool alongside the textbook.
I will take any course she teaches! Her courses are difficult, yet she has the skills to explains complex content to make them easy. She expects details in your answers, but she never tests you with something she didn't teach in class. She gives hints and lots of bonuses.
If you do not remember everything she says in lectures and regurgitate word for word what she says for the test, you automatically fail her class. Good luck! Extremely hard for some reason, even if you understand the concept, it's not good enough.
Dr. Abdalahad is a solid professor. Her lecs are good and detailed. Make sure you write down what she SAYS in lec because a lot of her lectures require active listening and attendance. Her tests are really specific so make sure you study well for them. She's really nice and approachable so definitely go to office hours and ask questions if needed!
Good prof, go to her lectures and note down everything she says. She does warn the class before hand that this is a tough course and generally cares for student sucess and understanding. She is kind and approachable.
Listen to the lectures! You will be tempted to get distracted since she waste a lot of time(her own lecture recordings are significantly shorter than actual lecture time), and she goes on tangents, but she will surprise you with important topics that she just expects you to know. Or better yet, avoid her class
Her tests are objectively fine, however, she wants very specific things on the test regarding phrases she used in class. She talks really fast, and to make it worse, she rambles a lot in class so it's very hard to stay focused and follow what she's saying. She tests on stuff that she doesn't teach under the pretext that you should already learn it
Amazing professor. Explains complex topics clearly, uses great analogies, and genuinely cares about students. Recorded lectures, extra office hours, and a super organized Quercus made the class so supportive. Tests were fair and matched the lectures perfectly. One of my favorite courses!

Are you asleep? I am not. I am sitting in the library to prepare for the FINAL EXAM THAT WORTH 50% AND ACCUMULATIVE FOR 20 LECTURES THAT SHE EXPECT YOU TO KNOW EVERY SINGLE WORD SHE SAID.
I won't wear my seatbelt tomorrow on the way to utm, so I can die before I attend BIO310 FINAL EXAM!!! 20 heavy lecs, she expects u to memorize EVERY SINGLE WORD on the ppt. Short answer marking scheme is crazy, u have to copy and paste what she put on the slide to get full mark. Introduce this course to someone u hated
I honestly would not have taken this course if I didn't need it for my major. Prof is not good at teaching, talks so fast I get a headache after lectures, does not properly explain concepts. Her marking scheme is so SPECIFIC for SA, I feel like I'm just regurgitating rather than learning. She also did not give enough time on the final
the way she approaches content is fine, it really is not too bad, BUT, this course is very test heavy, with the test making up.. 90% of your mark lol, if you're not ready to memorize the entire course, i suggest taking this class elsewhere or just don't bother.
Professor Abdalahad is very difficult to understand sometimes. She records her lectures, which is helpful, but she has quite a thick accent and tends to ramble on unnecessarily when explaining simple concepts. One of three midterms can be dropped, but the exam is cumulative (worth 50%). The exam is MUCH more difficult than the midterms. Study hard!
